tyto, I totally agree with you. The Original series were the best, but the cats with powers is way over the top. dry.gif

My opinion exactly.

And when you bring in cats like Sol, it gets even worse.

Then the drama-filled twists.

A little drama is good, but when it gets over-the-top, it becomes cliche.

Yeah, the plots are starting to repeat. And what's the use of getting rid of Tigerstar when he just comes back to life?

Meg Cabot...why does that sound familiar? What other books did she write?

Teen Idol, Jinx, Ready Or Not: An All-American Girl Novel.

Among others.

^ This.

I tried reading it, and I couldn't.

I love the play that Andrew Loyd-Webber did.

But I couldn't read the book.

Tailchaser's Song, by Tad Williams

This. BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ.

I love it so much you can't even imagine. I've read it so many times my original copy is being held together (poorly) by clear packing tape and I had to order a second one.

My favorite book in the history of all of everything ever and if I ever just need something to read I can just pick it up and dive right in and love it and I can just open it up to any point at all randomly and tell you exactly what's just happened and what's going to happen and it's hands down my favorite book and whenever anybody mentions favorite books I don't even need think about it to answer this and I LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH and I wrote a paper on it for class and I should shut up now.

/obsessive love

Lots of people seem to really like Tailchaser's Song.

I'll have to look for it the next time I go book shopping.

Never heard of it. o.O What's it about?

A cat. I think e___e

Seeing as you like warriors and if it /is/ about cats, you'd probably like it.

I have many favorite books. If I were to be ruthless and judge by how likely it would be that I would reread the book in its entirety, I'd have to say that a great favorite of mine is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

If I were to judge by a book that I recall wowing me as soon as I've read it, it would probably be Outlander by Diana Gabaldon or My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult (the former I've reread; the latter, I didn't even read it front-to-back even a first time).

But I've got a lot of favorites in the fantasy and YA genre as well.

I've got a short list of books I am waiting impatiently to buy as soon as they come out. This is an example of my current favorite authors/series:

Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson November 2

A Novel of the Nine Kingdoms #5 by Lynn Kurland January 2011

Blackveil by Kristen Britain February 2011

Spirit Dances by c.e. murphy April 2011

I like "The Door within" series by Wayne Thomas Batson. They are easy to get into.

I love the Wrinkle in Time series by Madeleine L'engle or something like that.

I read A Wrinkle in Time when I was in the sixth grade.

It was pretty good. I probably need to read it again. x3

The movie was pretty neat, too.

But it's been a long time since I've seen it.

I really like the Princess Bride. It made me laugh so much the first time I read it. Now I always take it on vacations and I just read my favorite parts over and over again. I always start out with good intentions to read the whole thing, but eventually I start skipping over the creepy parts, and then I just start skipping all over the place to find my favorite scenes. If you haven't read it and you like the movie then you should really like the book.

I adore I, Robot- characterization is excellent, humor is well done, and it's just... it's a wonderful read, I'm a little upset it took me so long. I also like reading the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series when I need something a little light and fun, but not just cheap, bland fluff.
