My username is thus in honor of Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres' daughter from the television series Star Trek: Voyager. Funnily enough, my favorite species is Vulcans, and yet Miral is a Klingon name for a human/Klingon child. Although I believe the name itself is of Arabic origins--the Star Trek writers often took obscure human names, among other designations, and applied them to alien cultures.

My first and middle names in real life are French, and combined, they translate roughly to "free; victory of the people." Another translation I have encountered is "little womanly one."

I'm glad I'm not alone in this...Webkinz. It's my username (or part of it, anyway) on almost every site on the internet I use. Why? Well, I think the 'spark' part was random, but too short, so I added numbers to it that I'd remember. Counting down from 3, because I needed 4 more characters in the name. Surprisingly enough, noone can remember the numbers at the end but me >_< .

I Love for predatory fish. I own a copy of every jaws and piranha (With the exception of the new one, but saw it in theaters and loved it!) so I mixed "Great white shark" and "Piranha" hence "The great piranha"

My seventh grade teacher told us to right a short story about how the lights were on in a town, but no one was there. For half of the time she gave us to work I was writing and the other half I was trying to think of a name for my main character. After a while, I just stuck together a bunch of letters and ended up with Vorthy. However, this I felt was to close to my "pet name", Wolfy (I know they are quite different. I just have a problem with having anything I write be close to reality at all.). My friends helped me edit the name and created the name Vorthera. It now is kind of like a symbol of our friendship even though that happened quite a while ago.

My name was a spur-of-the-moment decision based on two of my favorite interests - math and cats. I'd probably choose something more creative now, but it does have the advantage of being fairly recognizable and unlikely to be taken.

My forum name comes from something completely random. I got a Runescape account when I was 10, and I couldn't think of a username. So, out of the blue, I went with Miz927. It was nice, but it was sort of hard to type, so I thought, hey, why not make a palindrome? Hence 'Mizzim.'

When I was young, I went by another name. I'm not proud of those days.

On my 16th birthday, I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up:

The Best.

[sNIP]

For a moment, He paused, searching for the right words.

"Simply, The Best."

---

And THAT children, is the story of how I got my name.

Really? I'm top of the pack -- top dawg.

I just have a gift -- game within

Some of you sent me personal messages asking me if I was ever tempted to use my gifts for personal gain.... given the ongoing economic downturn and the fact that Americans want a change politically, would I ever be tempted to use my gifts for personal gain, especially in times of uncertainty?

Tempted? Yes. Without a doubt. However.....I can't say this without sounding arrogant and elitist. But, it is the truth. Remember Secretariat? 1973. Triple Crown winner. Greatest horse ever. That horse had an almost god-like hold of people. It was, to put it bluntly, different. No, DIFFERENT. For years people wondered what was the "key" that made it unlike anything the world had ever seen. Well, the mystery was revealed one day.

I have never met my equal. No one can possibly understands the depths of my mind. I can tell what people think. What they are going to do. WHEN they are going to do it. EVEN BEFORE THEY DO. It's like I am reading a book that no one else has access to for a few years. I am that good. Look, I will hang out with friends, engage in small talk, discuss the games, chicks, etc., etc. But, it is boring.

I have long lost any sense of fascination with the future. Others, however, cling to it. Advice is nothing more than nostalgia. And that is fine as the masses function like robots and live. Change that -- they exist. I am the future because I know the future. It frustrates me to no end when people talk about what they think and and how it might happen. I swear at times I want to TRY TO EXPLAIN TO THEM WHAT I HAVE. But, that would be useless. It would also be mean of me.

Look, I'm the best. I could do anything I wanted to in this world, but I will never use my gift for personal gain. Never. Kinda my gift back to the Man upstairs. Call it corny or whatever, but I made that vow years ago about a week after nearly dying from the salty tooth water moc. As the years have come and gone, I don't really consider it a gift.

Back to Secretariat. He revealed his secret on the operating table after he was put down. All those who saw it were amazed. Come to find out his heart was twice as big as an average race horse. He just had a bigger motor than everyone else.

I just have a bigger motor than everyone else. And America will find its own way out of her mess. I owe it to the future.

Walking in restaurants. Pumping gas. Those are every day activities. I am fine doing that, but what goes through my head to some of you would be like making love to a beautiful woman in a porta potty. Filthy, smelly, and pleasure all built into one.

Guys, I can see "the game within the game," and there is nobody better. Period. And that is why I'm Alpha1. Top dawg folks. Woof. Woof.

Wow. Arrogant much.

I'm pretty certain that anyone *truly* that unique and talented wouldn't feel the need to tell everyone about it all the time. Simple for the fact that, because you'd be completely misunderstood by all the people aorund you, it would only sevre to seperate you ever farther form the rest of humanity.

When I was young, I went by another name. I'm not proud of those days.

On my 16th birthday, I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up:

The Best.

People asked me, "What do you want to be Best AT?"

I said, "No. No 'At.' Just THE Best."

They laughed, of course. Figured I was joking. Only now do they realize the error of their ways. Only now do they realize that I was serious, and that I would not rest until the title was mine.

For the next Eighty-Three years, I roamed the world, seeking out the select few who considered themselves "The Best" in their chosen field. Whether it be running, swimming, drawing or breathing, I found them. When I found them, I challenged them to a contest. A contest to see if they were truly worthy of being called The Best.

I'll admit it; Several times, I lost. Long periods of my life were devoted to practice: Hours upon hours, days upon days, sometimes even weeks or months - I would train. I would practice until my lungs burned, my fingers bled, my body cried out for relief.

Then I practiced some more.

It took me a long time, but one day, I realized something. There was no one left to challenge. No skill I had not mastered. Out of all the people on Earth, not a single one existed who could beat me in anything. This left me with only one choice.

I had to leave Earth.

Now, I can't tell you how it happened, or what I had to do to get there, but somehow, I found my way to Heaven. Don't ask what it was like. You don't want to know. Once there, I sought out Him. He goes by many names, but the purpose he serves is always the same: The Creator. The Root. The Beginning. I faced him, and though his form was truly magnificent to behold, I did not back down. With a smirk on my face and determination in my heart, I challenged God to a battle. A battle to see, who really was...

The Best.

I can't say how long we grappled. To list the various trials we undertook together would take more time than you have to offer. Long story short, I struggled a good deal, but eventually, I emerged victorious. Exhausted, I looked Him in the face, and said two words.

"Say it."

I could tell it pained him to do so. To say it would negate all His teachings. It would make a liar out of God. Still, I would not be denied. Victory was mine, and I demanded my prize.

"Fine." He said, sighing angrily. "You are..."

Ours eyes locked. His gaze was filled with reluctance. Mine, with anticipation. Silently, I mouthed those same two words. Say it. Again, He sighed, though this time, there was no anger in the sound. Only acceptance.

"You are truly incredible. I've existed for millions of years, and still, I've never found anyone quite as amazing as you. You are a monument to all that is excellent, and a guiding light for all who wish to achieve greatness. But only a guide. You'll always be beyond reach. No one can touch you, because your splendor is beyond the comprehension of any living being apart from myself. Even I don't know if I can truly grasp it. Again, I can't express quite how glorious you are. You are quite the sight to behold, but I will hold back my tears. Instead of crying, I will just say... Thank you. Thank you for being..."

For a moment, He paused, searching for the right words.

"Simply, The Best."

*applaud* Quite a story. biggrin.gif Some might disagree though. rolleyes.gif

I'm apparently very, very boring when it comes to usernames.

Marie19 or a variant is my username on a lot of sites. Marie is my middle name. I'm not 19 anymore, but it's easier to remember to keep it that way. Yup, boring.

I can never come up with names for anything, so when I do come up with something, I use it forever. Andaraen came about when I played Lord of the Rings Online for an afternoon. I looked over what they had for Elven naming convention and combined the prefix Andar- with the suffix -aen.

There's the origin of my amazing name. x3

My story was way more crackin'. I'm still too shiny for you.

Get like me, bro.

I can tell two things from your post:

1) You are a Yank

2) When you were young, the other kids did not include you in their games because you were a mam's boy and always ran off tattling on them for minor infractions (things like using smokeless tobacco). Explains why you were not proud of your last name you went by….

Guys, I am the best when it comes to seeing the “game within the game.” Worst had no idea I could literally look into his world and tell why he is the way he is. Some call it a gift, but honestly I would rather not have been chosen.

Never will I use it for personal gain. You have my word on that.

GUYS!

A few of you seemed to miss my point there. I DID NOT DO A SINGLE THING to deserve this "power" I have been given. It was a gift. You could have ended up being a specialist in anywhere you had wanted just as easily as I could. And again, I NEVER use it for personal gain. Those of you who know me, know this. I am not here to brag or anything of the sort. Many of you know me and know that is the FURTHEST thing from my mind. It is that simple.

Hope you guys can get out tomorrow and enjoy 4-wheeling with close friends and family.
