Servers do have moving parts.

In particular, there are some pretty hardcore fans needed to keep everything cool.

Yeah, but really? Most of the servers I've dealt with have very heavy duty cables and attachments in addition to the fans. blink.gif Like we struggle to detach them when we need to. Most of them require a screwdriver. It sounds like the host just messed up.

Either way, thanks for the update. Good to know that it's back.

That is quite possibly the lamest excuse for downtime ever. I keep giggling. Hopefully, that was also the cause of the lag.

Murphy's Law really does mean anything.

*rolls on the floor, laughing uproariously*

So... our server decided to unplug itself and have a little holiday...

Way to go, Dragcave! *gets out the duck tape*

Thanks for the lol, TJ.

Thanks for letting us know, TJ. cool.gif

There's some wonky English in that explanation but it's amusing, nonethelss.

*leaves brownies for TJ and everyone else*

Sounds like they need to replace the cables if you ask me.. I've seen too many times where the ONLY way to get them out is to break the prong that sticks out to PREVENT vibrations from jiggling it loose!

That does explain the lag of the past few days though... bad connection between the server and the switch.... makes sense to me! LOL

Huh... o.0 Well then, tell our cables not to take a holiday next time, and that they have to get back to work.

Clear skies from here on out, hopefully!

The Tech checked the connectivity of the patch cable between your server and the switch. After that it worked again. So I think it was not snapped it all the way and was getting loss do the vibrations.

Are they foreign or is that how they always speak english?

Thank goodness it was something so easy to fix. I would have cried if it had been so complicated that the site was down for an extended period of time.
