  1. I don't think that people aren't willing to trade an arm and a leg for a CB Almandine. It's just that 'an arm and a leg' may differ wildly between players. I know I'd need a few CB Almandines on my scroll yet I could never pay the prices that are being demanded as I can't catch CB Metals for the life of me and don't have anything rare enough on my scroll for its offspring to fetch such a price. So I don't even bother trying to cut off any of my limbs as I know they wouldn't be deemed valuable enough. And as was mentioned above, save for Neglecteds none of the things people ask for a really IOUable - and with Neglecteds usually the sellers demand proof you already successfully did one. On the other hand, chances are that people who can offer all of the above probably already have their share of CB Almandines and are more likely to use their valuable trade fodder for other insanely rare stuff.
  2. It'll take me a while to get ALL my checkers sorted out, so I'll add the rest on the week-end when I'm not half-asleep from working all day. In any case this is an absolutely awesome idea. We definitely needed that here!
  3. I caught this lovely Snow Angel during the holidays and actually managed to trade for a perfect mate.... So naturally they refuse
  4. This sounds like fun all around. Now to actually remember it when the time comes around

  6. I'm already a big fan of Gemshards but that is just plain gorgeous. Congrats!
  7. Give me a yell come Christmas if you'd like. I should be able to breed an unrelated mate for you.
  8. Impossible to continue but... holy guacamole http://dragcave.net/lineage/0gmRG Thanks evangeline5432!
  9. I'm so insanely proud of this lineage, I just have to show it off, now that I'm calling it done (for now anyway >_> ) http://dragcave.net/lineage/DRZj5 Their first egg is up for adoption, so drop me a note if you'd like to take it home.
  10. I traded a CB Ice to someone before the glitch. Now it is back on my scroll TOGETHER with the egg I got for it. And of course I don't remember the scroll name of my trading partner... so if you see this, please get into contact with me so I can give the Ice back to you :-/ Ice back on the way to its rightful owner!
  11. Glitch-related here as well: Last night I traded a CB Ice to someone. Now it is back on my scroll TOGETHER with the egg I got for it. And of course I don't remember the scroll name of my trading partner... so if you see this, please get into contact with me so I can give the Ice back to you :-/ Sorted out! ^^
  12. Unbreedables in general (not counting Neglected obviously) are very dependent on whether or not someone is currently looking for them and what they can afford/are willing to pay. Some people enjoy collecting specific Unbreedables, some want them for Scroll completion, some people don't collect them at all, be it because they don't like the sprite or don't like the fact that they can't make lineages with them. I traded a Paper Egg for a CB Xeno Hatchling a few days ago but I've also had instances where I let Unbreedables go for a random CB hatchie or simply gifted them/threw them to the AP because I got no interest in trades.
  13. After the first surprise over actually having caught a Gold on the AP (which I'm ususally not quick enough to do), I did a virtual doubletake at that gorgeous lineage: http://dragcave.net/lineage/Hd0z5 Thanks so much, Crystallie!
  14. You're very welcome. Nice to see my babies here every once in a while
  15. Rubin

    Secret Santa

On the off-chance that anyone might need them for their giftee - I have four CB Gemshards available, two are hatchlings (red, blue), two still eggs. Drop me a note if you would like to use them for your Secret Santa giftee
  16. Finally I've got some time to show off my Holiday haul: Solstices: http://dragcave.net/lineage/kfGa7 Thanks Lantean_Pegasus, now to try and find a mate come Valentine's http://dragcave.net/lineage/mIwkh Thanks breeder! Mistletoes: http://dragcave.net/lineage/3wkpx I'm actually rather taken by that combo http://dragcave.net/lineage/EImp8 and another unrelated one Ribbondancers: http://dragcave.net/lineage/GjNB8 http://dragcave.net/lineage/pVQwG Thanks herk! Already got another unrelated 3rd gen with that lineage, maybe I'll finally find mates for them. Snow Angels: http://dragcave.net/lineage/9Z2oM Pretty! Thanks breeder! http://dragcave.net/lineage/NHtW8 I would never have thought of that pairing. Thanks Skythestral!
  17. Those are my babies. Glad they found a nice home
  18. While lineage projects will still have to wait, at least I finally have one pair of each type of Xenowyrm \o/
  19. The Gold Wyvern itself doesn't have a biome as it is a bred dragon (if you look at the dragon#s page there is no biome listed - the parents' biomes don't count). Which means it is the same as if you were to breed that Xeno with a dragon from the 'Cave' biome. There is a chance to receive a random other Xeno as the breeding result. @ Fly-by-Night: I was simply judging by the data from the spreadsheet (first post), which suggests that getting the parent variety of Xeno is significantly more likely than getting the other one. Of course that data could be skewed as it's unlikely people listed every single breeding. Plus a lot of the breedings that happenend probably weren't listed at all, because the breeders weren't interested or don't have a forum account to begin with
  20. You can checker Xenos with any breed, since you always have a significant chance of breeding the parent variety of the Xeno. There is a small chance the Xeno will turn out a different type and that depends on where the Non-Xeno parent is from. Such a 'misbreed' will only slow down the building of the checker but not make it impossible. Think of it as if you are making a checker with Nebulas and the Nebula colors incorrectly. You can rebreed the pair until you get a Nebula with the right color. So in this case even if the Xeno did 'misbreed' you can rebreed the pair until you get the correct Xeno.
  21. In fact, judging from the data on the spreadsheet as well as what birdz said, the chance seems to be significantly higher for the offspring to turn out the same as the parent rather than a different type. Though what the exact percentages are is only for birdz and TJ to know.
  22. Though I think they would work the same way as 'Cave' dragons as they have no specific biome for the mechanic to reference.
  23. Probably not unless there is any kind of initial suspicion about a user to begin with. :-/
  24. That is someone who uses an automated script - kind of like a program - to skim a biome for a specific egg description and snatch up any egg of that kind that appears. Being a program of course it is much faster than any regular player.
  25. Most of the ones I saw were in the Coast (along with two CB Coppers) but as I said, that's where I spent most of my hunting time these past days so I can't say anything about the other biomes. In any case they are frustratingly scarce, which leaves me with a bad feeling. I'd rather not see them go the same way as Pyralspites where I'm still trying to get a CB of each color because silly me has a realy life and thus missed their release
