This is actually a pretty good point. Actually, it's an interesting thing to think about for releases in general, imo. Users constantly talk about how short the 'floods' are and how many people weren't online during that time-window... Would it be better if there just *weren't* such heavy floods at all? Pulling a random number out of the air, what if instead of 1500 new eggs dropped in 8 hours it was more like 1500 eggs dropped over the course of 15 hours? Or even longer. Make the 'floods' last days, helping more people get more sooner, just with the eggs dropping more spread out so it's basically the same amount but giving more people a chance to get online and see them?

100% this was my only problem with the release. The straterae DIDN'T DROP in the initial drop, and then randomly flooded a few hours later, with no warning or anything, and then completely vanished. I don't think that was fair. People egglocked with 8 and then missed the straterae. I don't think there should be mini drops going on that aren't with the initial drop time.

No, but there is a holiday biome in the cave now for each holiday, where people can grab past holiday dragons that they missed. There is still a limit of 2 CBs for both Christmas and Valentines, but Halloweens are unlimited so you can keep grabbing more of those to your heart's content.

Ohh Thanks! Do Holly's also drop?

And for Sweetlings: if you had black Sweets before, you now can have both colours. If you only owened normal pink ones, you unfortunately can't get the black version. Hope that makes sense.

Is it only cb pink ones? I thought the scrolls were coded, how are they determined now?

  3. So I took a long hiatus probably around 2013. I was browsing someone's scroll that has alt sweetlings and I noticed that not only did they have alts, they had the regular pink one, and it was a CB grabbed from the Cave in 2020! Can you now purchase old holiday dragons in the market?

  4. I love codes so I snagged a "war" code from the cave, refreshed to find a dino, then refreshed to find a gold... and had exactly the egg spaces for all of those. Well I think I just used up my good luck for the year.

  5. I don't have a sour taste in my mouth but I definitely was disappointed.

On one hand, I'm glad that the mints don't show upside down in lineage view, but now it will be something that I can never collect in a collectibles game. Yes, I can never get a CB Prize dragon, but at least I can get the sprites through other means. So that is a bit disappointing.

As someone who played back when there was only one cave, I didn't care that they said "Location: Cave" My concern was with the upside down sprites.

I agree with others who said previously that it is harder to accept the outcome of the "raffle" when half the site wins and you don't. When the odds are so high but you still fail to reach them, it really sucks.

I also don't see why people are calling this event a competition. Those who got a mint egg did nothing different than what I did. We all pressed a button and a coin got flipped.

  6. The problem with this game was that there WASN'T an equal opportunity for everyone to get an egg. You are barred by what your "opponent" picked.

For example. In my case, my opponent blamed me. No matter what option I had picked, I simply could not receive an egg at that point.

How is that even fair? I had 0% chance of receiving an egg, where as if your opponent stayed silent, you received SOMETHING.

  7. If anyone's curious, this game is based on the Prisoner's Dilemna, which goes as follows:

Two members of a criminal gang are arrested and imprisoned. Each prisoner is in solitary confinement with no means of communicating with the other. The prosecutors lack sufficient evidence to convict the pair on the principal charge. They hope to get both sentenced to a year in prison on a lesser charge. Simultaneously, the prosecutors offer each prisoner a bargain. Each prisoner is given the opportunity either to: betray the other by testifying that the other committed the crime, or to cooperate with the other by remaining silent. The offer is:

If A and B each betray the other, each of them serves 2 years in prison

If A betrays B but B remains silent, A will be set free and B will serve 3 years in prison (and vice versa)

If A and B both remain silent, both of them will only serve 1 year in prison (on the lesser charge)

The DC equivalent is option 1, both people blame each other, nobody gets anything

Option 2, one person is silent, one blames the other, the person who blames the other gets the upside down egg

Option 3, if both people choose to be silent, they both get a normal mint.

  8. This probably was answered but I never saw what the answer was.

Was there a specific reason the prize dragon lottery stopped happening? I had a long hiatus from DC so I'm just curious.
