So, the "Morrowind" expansion for ESO has been announced in the last few weeks - it's a extra-large expansion that they call a "Chapter" (which will not be included in ESO Plus) that will add the entire island of Vvardenfell, a new "Warden" class, and 4v4v4 "battlegrounds", among other things. I've typed a summary of everything we know here: http://blog.uesp.net/index.php/2017/02/01/...pansion-what-we
I never really played a lot of Morrowind myself: I've been kind of working my way backward in the series and simply hadn't gotten to it much yet. But I imagine it will be very nostalgic for those that have.
Lately I've gotten into ESO again: whenever I have played, I've mostly been doing work on the UESP wiki, so now I've gotten back into the actual game again. I wasn't fond of the way they implemented housing at first, but it's growing on me. Just wish they weren't so expensive, though. I just decided to go for Forsaken Stronghold with Crowns since it would take me months to save up for it in gold and I wouldn't have any gold left over for decorations.

It's still a limit of 2 for the newly-dropped dragons, right? It's just Halloween that doesn't have a limit on new drops?

I've got a couple collections.
- Rocks/minerals. I enjoy going to shows; they're fun. Haven't been to one in over a year, though.
- Stamps: My mom started collecting them when she was a kid and gave her book to me.
- Old/special US coins, and foreign coins
- Wolf figurines
I also actually just took my roughly-annual picture of my Elder Scrolls merchandise collection yesterday.

I got glasses when I was 6.
I got contacts when I was 14. On the first day when I went to the eye doctor to get the contacts, I could not get them in, and eventually my eyes got too sore to continue and I had to go home. I was able to get them in on the second visit though, and it was hard to do it at first, but eventually it became second nature. I had such a huge smile when leaving that day because it was just so amazing to have peripheral vision: before, it'd just be blurry on the side. However, in my last year or so of college, I was spending lots of long hours and keeping in my contacts for a long time, and it got to the point where I just couldn't wear contacts anymore because they irritated my eyes when I put them in for even a short time.
I got LASEK surgery last year (when I was almost 23). I recommend it 100%. It pays for itself in a couple years when you consider how much you're spending on glasses/contacts (especially if both), and it's SO nice just to be able to see all the time. I'm still impressed on bright days when my vision is sharpest, and waterparks are absolutely the best. The only downside is that I'd say my vision in dim light is slightly poorer and I see a bit of a "glow" around bright objects (such as new road signs with a bright glare), but you get used to that and it's not bad. The surgery is really quick, you're awake for the whole thing (though numbed and drugged), and it's completely painless; never felt anything afterward. (Although with LASEK, as opposed to LASIK, it takes a couple days to barely see well enough to work, and weeks to months to return to normal, but in the end they heal completely as if nothing was ever done to them.) I'm so glad I had it done; if your vision's stopped changing for a few years, and you're on the fence about it, I definitely recommend it.

In ES:Oblivion, Molag Bal told me to let one guy kill me with a cursed mace. So I did and was brought back to life. So really I didn't die in the normal videogame sense, but story-wise I died.

The May release was the day before I went on vacation. I forgot to put them in a click site amidst everything else I had going on that day. Arrive home today, almost 3 weeks later, and all my shiny caveborn eggies are dead.

Recently I've been bouncing around between Guild Wars 2 and Watch_Dogs. Also got obsessed with Fallout Shelter now that I have an iPod with enough RAM to run it.

Nope, nothing has been said about it whatsoever.
I'm not expecting any for a while, either: my guess for ES6 is 2017. There was a five-and-a-half year gap between Oblivion and Skyrim, and a seven-year gap between Fallout 3 and 4 (New Vegas was made by a different studio, like ESO, and doesn't count).
In the meantime though we're getting another minor side game: a mobile strategy card game called Elder Scrolls: Legends which comes out sometime this year.

Finally caught some Hollies on the AP! This is my 7th year trying.
I joined DC at the start of 2009, so I tried every year, and I mean giving it a real good effort, literally sitting and refreshing for hours. Someone did generously gift me one last year, so I got my first one last year, but it feels good to actually have CAUGHT one on my own.

WolfQuest is now on Steam Greenlight! Vote for it!

You can't play 3DS games on a 2DS, it isn't possible as 1) the nub wouldn't fit in it and 2) the game would crash. Are you playing a cross gen game?
2DS is the name of a separate console that can play 3DS games without the 3D effect (as if you had the slider off on a 3DS); it doesn't refer to the old DS. The 2DS is meant to be more child-friendly; a little less breakable (especially without the hinge). It's also considerably cheaper than a 3DS.

2.7 is officially released! It feels so good to be done with the beta.

I usually am listening to music or something like that, so it's actually unusual that I'm not at the moment.
Right now in my quiet apartment, all I can hear is my computer's fans running really quietly. It's actually very near silence - my fridge is not currently noisy, I don't hear the heater running (which is never loud anyway), and I don't hear any cars at the moment as it's about midnight and not as busy.
While my apartment building is always very quiet (my parents commented when visiting just the other day that they never hear anyone else when they're here), usually it's louder outside - I live about half a mile (as the crow flies) from the hospital, police station, and railroad tracks.

I have been doing a LOT of beta testing of WolfQuest 2.7.
I just picked up Animal Crossing: New Leaf this weekend - been getting the urge to play the series again, and I dont' have easy access to City Folk since my parents keep the Wii (it's both my sister's and mine and we've both left the nest, lol).

Completely missed the Halloween drop. First missed event since I started playing in Feb 2009. :/

I can't believe I missed the new drop. This is the first event dragon I've missed since starting DC back in late-Feb 2009.

Here are some of my favorite dessert recipes:
1 & 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
1 stick butter
1 & 1/4 cup peanut butter
4 & 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 cup choc chips
1 cup M&Ms
Combine all ingredients. Bake at 350F for 10-15 min.
Scotcheroos (basically peanut butter rice krispies with chocolate on top)
Combine in large pot over low heat:
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
Bring to slight boil.
Stir in 1 cup creamy peanut butter.
After peanut butter melts, remove from heat.
Add 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal.
Press lightly in 9"x13" pan (sprayed with cooking spray). Let cool.
Combine 1 cup chocolate chips & 1 cup butterscotch chips.
Melt over low heat, stirring often. Spread over cooled bars.
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs, one at a time
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 & 1/4 cup flour
2 cups miniature marshmallows
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 & 1/2 cup semisweet choc chips
Spread into a greased 9"x13" pan.
Bake at 350F for 22-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool & cut.
No-Bake Chocolate Cookies
In a medium saucepan, stir together:
2 cups sugar
6 Tbsp baking cocoa
1/2 cup milk
Heat over medium heat, stirring. Let it come to a boil & boil 1 minute.
Turn off heat.
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups instant oatmeal
Stir well. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
Chocolate Chip Cookies (this recipe is my favorite and everyone at work talks about how great they are)
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
12 oz chocolate chips
Bake at 325F (check around 7 min).
(This is a "double" recipe - the original wasn't intended to be a batch of cookies, but rather to be one single large cookie in a standard pizza pan. This "double" recipe is a good amount for a batch of cookies. Also that's why I don't have an exact time, because the cook time for the pizza-cookie is slightly different from actual cookies.)
(I usually start checking them at around 7 minutes until they look no longer raw - and are starting to become golden-brown on the bottom. I also leave them on the pan for a few minutes unless the bottom is too done.)

Yeah, the new map doesn't have missions or anything, just pack and elk territories like the other two. I think it's an interesting map, myself, and yeah, it'll definitely be good for rp'ing.
The public games will include an option for you to invite someone to be added as a friend, I believe.

Hopefully it's okay to bump this with a double-post since I mean to bring back meaningful discussion.
Several years after the game stopped being updated, and a year after they'd decided that the end of the game was in sight, Eduweb started considering making a tablet version. The response was enthusiastic, and they decided to go forward with the project, reaching into their own pockets (since the funding, as previously mentioned, is gone) and hoping that the game's sales would be enough to cover it. They implemented a bunch of bugfixes and also came up with a new map, and then decided to take the update to Mac/PC.
So now we're on the brink of the release of WolfQuest 2.7 - the previous game with a bunch of improvements (elk are now affected by wind direction and have some different AI, there's the new map and pelt colors, multiplayer's been improved - for example you can play the slough creek missions as a team - etc.) Here's a full list of features.
They're planning on getting it in some online stores - Steam is one they're hoping for. Because they're reaching into their own pockets, this will be a paid version: PC/Mac will be $10, and for iPad the Amethyst Mountain mission will be free, and Slough Creek, Lost River, and the various pelt colors will be in-app purchases (or "buy it all" for $10).
The release date isn't set yet, because we're still busy with testing, but it's looking at maybe being toward the end of this month. I'm really excited to see it making a comeback!

The update to pc/mac coming on November 2 will add Xbox controller compatibility.
I haven't played on Xbox One, just PC.
One nice thing about PC is that you can use addons (mods, basically). I don't use mods for the main-series ES games, but there's a couple I use for ESO that make the game a bit easier to use:
- Master Merchant is the key one: it keeps track of sales and stuff so that you know how much an item is selling to other players for.
- Research Assistant is also the other top one; it shows an icon for each item that denotes whether you've researched it or not already.
- TIEmote makes it so that you can select emotes from a dropdown (and select your favorites) rather than having to type them all the time.
- Pinkiller is one I use for screenshots. The "Hide UI" option in the game's controls doesn't hide quest arrows, so I use PinKiller to hide those arrows.
I've also heard that the voice chat on the xbox version is annoying; too many people.

The Orsinium DLC is on the test server on ESO! I'm loving the look of Wrothgar; it's ragged and beautiful.

As a kid:
- In 4th grade, my Hit Clips (remember those things? little music player that you put a little card in to play part of a song), a magnet or two from my locker, and a picture of our teacher
- In 8th grade, my GBA SP. I suspect one of my friends but she never admitted it.
About two months ago, my floor mat outside my room was stolen - there was a string of thefts in my apartment building (including of a plant in a 40-lb pot in the common area). They ended up finding it (hidden under the mat of a different room whose tenant was away on vacation at the time), though nobody else's stuff turned up.

GOG.com (Good Old Games) is an online game store, kinda like Steam. They've got a lot of games from the 90s and stuff, and also newer ones as well, and it's DRM-free and also usually comes with extras (for example, the ones I got included stuff like wallpapers and the soundtrack).
If you want them, get them! They're only $6 apiece!
