  1. 4th EG Nebula free to good home: All gone! Congrats!
  2. Thank you for the lovely Ridgewing!
  3. Thanks to @tjenni for this lovely Thuwed I found today. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ‘ƒ
  4. I just had the same problem. Cleared my cache and now it's loading again. You may want to try that. ๐Ÿ™‚
  5. I've got about 2 dozen candidates this year, most are fogged to death hatchlings from the AP. I do have three adults to try killing this week who escaped slaughter last year. I don't have any preferences in my fodder this year, although I am hoping the Soulpeace is successful. (I'm warped that way. ) In years past I picked hopefuls on basis of their codes, like EYWW, deds, and EUHUH which made naming them a breeze and was helpful for locating them when zombies roamed the scrolls and vanished completely in daylight. I have one inbred from when I was first playing that's on Death Row this year. I just have to remember to remove his name before the attempt.
  6. I'm in complete agreement. The world is update crazy. Old does not mean bad any more than new means great. They're both and neither. Updating things just for the sake of updating it makes me wanna bang my head on a desk. A choice in what we see on our own scrolls (old or new) is something I'd love, but doubt we'll ever see due to file and programming restraints. Silvers have been my favorite sprites since I joined DC. I wait with absolute dread to see what's being done to them. I've had sprites I loved become something I despised after something as "simple" as a recoloring. I found the new colors neither pleasing, or complimentary to the sprite itself. *sigh* And yeah, the Mona Lisa is pretty meh, but it beats abstracts.
  7. Yay! *crosses fingers that her Solstices get rosy wings*
  8. I actually prefer lineaged unbreedable to CBs. I find them more interesting, and were I one to make descriptions, I could have a ball doing them for my Vamps, making stories for how they got abducted from their families, or accidentally pushed from the nest and converted. My Vampires are legion, and a majority are lineaged, including my first, which I had actually specially bred to get bit shortly after the original Vampires got the bite function available. Many are long and messily lineaged. Fuil Ceo was my first. Dluthteaghlach Fuil is somewhat spectacularly inbred. Captain Jack Thuwed My first Thuwed, but is also inbred. I also was doing a private Supernatural lineage, and had a bit of a problem getting the right breed I wanted for the Boys, so Sam & Dean have a number of Vampire siblings as you can see here. The one sibling you can't see is MarySue Winchester. In spite of her name, she was a true Winchester...she ducked the blade in 18 attempts spanning 2 Halloweens before I managed to get her. Sam was also a bad boy with Ruby, and this was the result. I also have some very pretty Tinselkin and Shimmerkin Vampires: Fuil An Mhainistir As Fuil cabri Ar And my last little undead horrors who are lineaged: Eating Raoul has a spectacularly busy lineage. Constable Reg Shoe also has a long and colorful family tree. My other Zombies are CBs, but then they were chosen for their codes. And as of yet, no Neglecteds.
  9. For me, I think inbreds make great and extremely interesting Vampires. Inbreds, especially messy ones, will a number of times have some really fun names hidden in them. And by making them Vampires, I don't have to worry about accidentally breeding them. This one is only mildly inbred, but I was really tickled by the Monty Python names, so he became a Vamp. Jack here, is a beautiful EG, but also inbred. I was tempted not to change him, but I know I would have derped and bred him somewhere along the line. Now, he excels at biting eggs that are deemed to repulsive by the nest and they get tossed. There are also lineages that look inbred, but actually aren't. This little Mint is a prime example. You can't tell from the lineage view page, but the names are all slightly different due to multiple spaces in different places in the name. Stick it in the ANoD Inbreeding Checker and it comes out as clean.
  10. Accidentally abandoning an egg I meant to fog. *facepalm*
  11. I disagree. As I recall, the major drama from the Snow Angels came mostly from after the recoding due to person or persons unknown hacking the site just to get the color wings they wanted. That's when the rest of us woke up to find our dragon's wing colors had changed as TJ had to recode the sprites. (Yes, I was one of the unhappy folks who went from the wing color I most liked to the one I least liked, and still roundly curse the hacker(s).) That being said...I don't like the new color. I'd rather they just be the same with the reddish bits for three reasons: 1.) There is no reason to make the CBs exclusive; it just makes for a lot of hard feelings and discontent at a time of year when we should all be sharing and and wanting to make one another happy. 2.) Lineages. Most lineages I'd want to do with them would involve a sprite with some or a lot of red bits to help make it pop out. 3.) I just find the only blue ones a bit bland in comparison and make the sprite feel a bit flat as opposed to the original. Just my 2ยข worth.
  12. Bumping this as again, it is a good idea, and have just had some "helpful" person adding my unfogged eggs to click sites.
  13. This. Granted, I do have some catching up to do, like several others (I missed a few releases this year and am playing catch-up), but not knowing when it's gonna happen makes this harder as I end up leaving MY scroll open for what turns out to be no reason, so I've lost time that I could have been hunting or breeding. I really wish he'd go back to scheduled releases.
  14. Well, nothing for November, December will be Christmas, and January TJ's usually too busy with the raffle stuff to do a new release. So, that's 1 in 3 months which is what we're looking at.
  15. *sighs and grumbles discontentedly* So now we know we'll only get 1 release in a three month period. Yeah, that's less boring than scheduled releases. {/sarcasm} *goes back to scroll muttering under her breath*
  16. I'm not ruling out a midnight EST release. That keeps the release still withing the realm of being the weekend for all involved.
  17. I found these a few days ago: http://dragcave.net/lineage/aR7tg http://dragcave.net/lineage/Z1oQC Thank you, Valeth & cyradis4!
  18. I spent a few years on a nebula project, and needless to say, there was a lot of gifting to threads for color fails. Here's the happy surprises I've found from those gifts. http://dragcave.net/lineage/FOztj http://dragcave.net/lineage/LGmeK http://dragcave.net/lineage/EftJO http://dragcave.net/lineage/nc5Ka http://dragcave.net/lineage/kA72x http://dragcave.net/lineage/9KXRL (This one was actually named for a grandparent) http://dragcave.net/lineage/982iY http://dragcave.net/lineage/nMAgD http://dragcave.net/lineage/m0dmk http://dragcave.net/lineage/DSrNg http://dragcave.net/lineage/sZ37h http://dragcave.net/lineage/XtpIV (My personal favorite. Thank you mystery namer!) http://dragcave.net/lineage/ECd5l And a few Tinsel fails... http://dragcave.net/lineage/uLPkm http://dragcave.net/lineage/LuHXc (and the mother of this one on my scroll was named for her mother. Geata Realta translates to "Star Gate." ) Thanks to all you owners. You made me very happy.
  19. Stairstep Thuwed up for adoption: Dropped to AP.
  20. I found this on the AP and thought I'd offer it up here so it could have a nice home. Gone to lilagrubb! Thanks for letting me know where it landed.
  21. Well, putting in my 2ยข worth here. As a breeder, I'd love higher limits (and an even number, please), but... As has been mentioned by others before me, I can only see that leading to frustration, envy, drama, spitefulness, and possibly an increase in viewbombing. I had been one of those players who was extremely annoyed trying to Summon. While I'd gotten my first one on the second attempt back in 2010, it took just one month shy of three years to get the second. And yes, seeing folks who had been playing less than six months with both, frustrated me to no end. I can see that easily spilling over from other folks (yes, like the ones who viewbomb and egg or a whole scroll because someone else grabbed the egg they were trying for) and some true nastiness evolving from it. The only way I could see this working without it exploding into a huge brouhaha, is if the chances of Summoning successfully are significantly increased. As we have no idea just how much TJ increased those odds. Going from say, 1% to 3%, (I have no idea what the actual percentage chances are, but they've been pretty darn small from what was witnessed on fan sites) is an increase, but it's still a negligible chance to start with and remains negligible. (Think Purple BSA here...there's an increase for fertility, but it's so small it remains imperceptible which is why many people, myself included, don't bother with it.) So, if the success rate has truly been significantly, ie: noticeably increased, then yes, I'd like an increased limit. If the success rate is still infinitesimally small, then no, three should be it, so as to limit drama and possible malice.
  22. I'm adding to the list of people who tried to breed my GoN with a Sweetling (an Alt, in my case) and all I got was a refusal. *haz a sad*
  23. @daba555: I think that's probably it. It's much more encouraging getting a wrong egg than constantly getting no egg at all. I had one stingy pair in the group. I think it took 4 eggs to get the right color...but I'd had as many tries with no egg at all. On the whole, my Nebs just generally seem to be happy little breeders. My Neb did turn red! *happy dance*
