  1. Sweet Jester! I'm basing my Strange Krewe on the Xenowyrms. I need to catch a Gaia and/or Chronos to finish it out.
  2. Yippee yi yo ki yay! Three of each, from all three biomes! And when my Firegem hatches next hour I can grab another!
  3. Well, due to RL events and the holiday, I haven't had a chance to do much hunting. But, I managed to complete three rows at least. 18 eggs!

Done. Debating whether to include Magma dragons. They look like an amalgam of Brontosaurus and Carnotaur dinosaurs.

I like your idea of using taxonomic names. I've also used Sanskrit, Dothraki and Basque in my dragons' names before so I might continue that here. Sanskrit for "Beast" is "Pashu." Basque = "Piztia" Afterthought: A bloodline of Beasts with mixed species could be named a Chimaera, especially if we did it Epic-style!

I've already started collecting dragons for my line and I've been using "Beast" in the names. Like, "Forestbeast."
  7. I vote Yes on the Fire Gems, as well. Either Fire or Earth. And I'm glad I got all three when they were dropping because it looks like they're gonna be rare! Thinking a Blue Fire Gem checker with either Rainbow Copper or Liver Sulfate Copper. I know, glutton for punishment here! No on Tetras.
  8. The blue Fire Gem is my favourite — and it looks like they'll all be Uncommon to Rare, because I haven't seen them in the cave since!
  9. We will be accepting the "green crystal" eggs from the new batch
  10. Looks like it's just you and me today, Spring Dragon Greenwing Caught! Enjoy! Kingcrowne Caught! Enjoy!
  11. Well, ladies and gentles, 'tis Lundi Gras today and Mardi Gras is tomorrow. And I'm feeling a little melancholy because there hasn't been a lot of traffic in this thread and I'm worried that this may be the last Mardi Gras we have together Hoping I'm wrong and y'all have been quiet because you're breeding up Parade Marshalls for your krewes.

This is a lineage that brings together all the dragons, wyverns and drakes that significantly mimic natural animal species. "All dragons are technically animals" isn't an argument for a breed's inclusion because there's nothing I've seen in the natural world that looks anything like a Depisi or a Brimstone! No, they have to look like something from your local farm, natural history museum or zoo, not something from Dungeons &…well, you get the idea For a breed to be included in this lineage, it must either have the name of a mundane, Natural animal in its name (e.g., Horse, Falconiforme Wyvern, Monarch) or a prominent physical feature must be mimicked (e.g., Albino, Water Walker, Solstice). Rules: - No inbreeding! Inbreeding leads to extinction, - No killing, - No Biting, - Freezing is allowed after the second generation. Allowable Breeds: Dragons: - Albino (universal animal mutation) - Blacktip (tern) - Blue-banded (striped bass) - Deep Sea (angler fish) - Ember (tiger/wolf/cat) - Horse (Friesian, specifically ) - Monarch (monarch butterfly) - Pillow (Himalayan cat) - Swallowtail (various birds) - Water Walker (jacaranda) - Rosebud (horse/Pegasus) - Yulebuck (goat) - Solstice (elk) - Tetra (tetra fish) - Magma (brontosaurus, carnotaurus, allosaurus) Wyverns: - Falconiforme Wyvern (falcon) - Flamingo Wyvern - Coastal Waverunner (pteradactyl) - Bright-breasted Wyvern (poison dart frogs) Drakes: - Howler drake (howler monkey, moth) - Greater Spotted Drake (leopard) - Morphodrake (moth) - Tarantula Hawk Drake - Pumpkin (frogs) Some ideas for lineages: - Single species - Checkerboards - By animal type (fish, bird, insect, ungulate, equine, etc.) - Biome-specific - Chimaera (mix of different animal types)
  14. I'd like a serval or a caracal someday. Yes, I know they pee on everything including you, they're big wild cats, etc. I'm getting land, she'll have room to run, and they've been domesticated long enough for domesticated bloodlines to emerge. Male dogs pee on everything and sometimes people, too.
  15. I'm an O-. Yep, universal donor, but I've had cancer so they don't want me
  16. Just had a Columbia Gorge raspberry-peach smoothie and an English muffin w/egg and cheese sandwich.
  17. Mods, can we attach a poll to this topic?
  18. Gather a group of people Give them four choices to vote for: - Flaming meteor, - Nightshade ice cream, - Sumptuous banquet, - Pass. Each choice had pros and cons: * Flaming meteor: - Con: everyone/everything dies - Pro: but it's so awesome! Epic annihilation! And it'll look so cool when it hits the atmosphere and sets the sky on fire! What a way to go!! * Nightshade ice cream: - Con: you die - Pro: But it's a gentle, painless death; you eat it, lay down and go to sleep forever, and the last thing you sense is a mouthful of sweet berries and ice cream. Entirely your choice, and a compassionate one. * Sumptuous banquet - Con: Oh my god, it's a table loaded down with death, dismemberment and suffering! Calves went hungry, a pig and several fish died, plants torn apart, grass seeds ground to powder! Just so you can eat! How cruel and selfish is that?! - Pro: Oh grow up already. It's food, food is good, nobody has to die, we can all sit at the table, enjoy a nice meal and good conversation. * Pass - Con: well, you aren't participating. You won't receive any benefits should the vote go to Sumptuous Banquet. - Pro: …but you don't have to kill anything, nor be killed. But even so, you really are participating, because you have a right to sit it out and you're still making a statement. We all respect that. - Too bad the Flaming Meteor doesn't… The rules: Whichever active choice gets the most votes, is imposed on everyone actively voting…except the Flaming Meteor. That affects everyone, willing or otherwise. Those voting for Flaming Meteor stand on one wall, Those voting for Nightshade Ice Cream stand on another, Those voting for Nice Banquet stand on a third, Pass remains sitting. Go. [voters sort themselves] Now the largest voting bloc splits in two, goes to the other two groups, and tries to persuade, cajole, bully, seduce, trick, shame and otherwise get them to join your faction. You have five minutes to make your case. Go. =========================== Interpretation: Flaming Meteor represents Conservatism. It's an external, looming threat to everyone/everything and implies inexorable divine judgment against a morally-wanting planet. Nightshade Ice Cream is the other extreme: Liberalism. It's gentle death, total rejection of violence, leaves the planet to heal from an excessively greedy species. Affects some. Nice Banquet represents Progressivism/Socialism. Nobody has to suffer/die, we can use our strengths to sustainably gather what we need to live and thrive and share the bounty. Affects only active voters. Pass represents those of the voting populace who sat home, for whatever reasons, and didn't vote. They get nothing, good or bad, and aren't judged for their choice. Affects only those who didn't choose the other options.
  19. Okay, so to those who escaped and made it to the village: What song did you sing (okay, "belt out") to the dragon? I sang Queen's "Millionaire Waltz" because that was what I had going through my head all day.
  20. I'm currently going through the ranks, looking for dragons with antlers. I'm going to start an antler-centric personal lineage. So far: - Cermorvus - Terrae - Solstices - Heartseekers - Snow - Almerald - Bolt - Gemshard I'd include Yulebucks and Shimmers but I don't have CBs of them And yes, I'm planning to breed my one male Guardian of Nature to one of them. Those droplets on the wings of both Cermorvus and those on the Avatars' wings would look wonderful. I'd also like to thank TJ and the spriters. I've approved Cermorvus dragons for my Marie Gras lineage and they fit perfectly, with their pearls and the baroque swirls on their wings!
  21. Oh my Gods, the Cermorvus dragons are PERFECT! With the baroque swirls on their wings and that pearl on their tail, I can hardly think of a more fitting dragon for this lineage! And the Purple Contingent has needed more recruitment anyway. Great addition!
  22. You too, huh? It smelleth wonderfully chocolate-y in here! Now what'd I do with those strawberries and hazelnuts…?
