  1. If this idea is realized, I personally think dragon search feature would go nicely along with it. Stalking those special dragons and all hhaha.

But not quite sure how it would work with hidden scroll names and how much of a strain would it be on the server etc.

  2. Thank you for your support! I am always open to criticism and more ideas! :)

I wouldn't like this. I don't have any idea how often a name has saved me from offering the wrong hatchling in a trade link, but many, many times. I'd lose my biggest trading safety net.

The phrasing has been edited and Trade lock feature suggestion has been added. Ty!

Regardless of if images-only, description-only, both, whatever: Big Huge NO for any sort of unlocking/encyclopedia-tied/etc. *That* is the *most* unfair idea in this thread. If the reason for this whole convo is helping newbies, *that* would not help them in any sense and would greatly advantage players that have been around for awhile and unlocked everything already. If the reason is 'text is more difficult for some people than others', how would this suggestion help that? Eggs are easier to memorize/remember, okay, but users will still have to *view* eggs in order to get them 'unlocked' in the first place, and until they do they are still in that 'text is harder' position.

No unlocking. No requirements. If this is a suggestion to help people, it can't be hidden behind that sort of thing.

Yes to this, exactly this. ^

  4. This is kinda straightforward, just let named hatchlings be trade-able or automatically reset name when trade is created.

This feature can be useful because it lets you differentiate between hatchings if you have multiple little dragons with same sprite, and rather than messing up and mixing up their codes.

Some people use the naming as save from accidents but I think "Trade lock" could be a separate feature. For both eggs and hatchlings.
You are able change it back to normal and trade them if you change your mind.

  5. I already have the egg abd it has been registered in encyclopedia

    Proof: mvWts.gif
But I wasn’t able to search for it in Trading hub’s “Dragon breed selector”(?)

(Yeah sorry, I meant trading hub. Typos lol)

And now it seems you've gone too far the other way. Your original shard costs were too low, with a rather large and unhelpful range, but these are extremely high. For reference: a player who gets max shards every week will earn roughly 5,210 shards a year. So, it would be reasonable imo to start costs at 5,200 or so, that would make players save up for a full year without buying anything in the meantime. With your adjusted costs here, it would take a dedicated player at least 7 and a half *years* to be able to afford the extra eggs for the Silver. I'm not even going to do calculations for the Gold.

I really think you should take awhile to get familiar with the game and how things work and the pacing and such, before making these kind of suggestions. You obviously aren't familiar with shard limits and how long it takes to collect them. Your other suggestion also seems to lack knowledge of how this game works. I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to point you in the right direction.

I understand, thank you for your addition. These would be a permanent slots so I thought, hmm yes @/Ruby eyes have a good point. But you’re correct too.
So instead of perma slots, how does temporary slots that are cheaper but expires as soon as the egg hatches.

Indeed I am not fully familiar with the game but I’ll try my best understand it.

(Also yes I am aware of 100 shards a week)

This. Getting the marketplace was a hard fought battle. Admittedly once I get my scroll goals of CB Golds I may not use it much, but I don't think adding the purchase of extra slots would make it any greater. Personally I am against that.

I'm not sure how you arrived at your levels. They seem a bit arbitrary. Are you allowing for gold trophy level to buy up to 5 extra slots, but nothing more (or is it nothing at all?) for platinum? And I agree that slots should be priced MUCH higher if they were to be made available for purchase.

Sorry, the original post was bit unconfident. I fixed it a bit now. :)

Eh. I'm iffy on this. I'd rather TJ just give us more slots naturally.

Also, can you explain your breakdown in pricing a bit more? Why is there an approximate cost that's so broad? Why doesn't every level get an equal amount of slots? Is it 500 for one slot, 2000 for two, etc.? Are the slots permanent and infinite? So, I could theoretically buy at least 3 extra slots every six months?

Ah sorry about the unclarity, egg slots limited to the trophy just like the normal unlock-able slots. But this additional ones rather being free you have to work for it. But I have edited the original post little bit better.

The similar descriptions are done on purpose.

I can't speak for TJ, but I'm pretty sure the pictures were taken away to even the playing field for everyone.

Again, I don't mind this suggestion, but "I'm new and I don't have a lot of time" shouldn't be the basis for your argument.

Hmm yee, I might’ve got bit personal on details.

...It’s more of a “who memorized most lines of word for the rare egg description” type deal when it comes to stealing eggs, which I don’t really have the time for? I don’t mind the chore, if I had more time.

DC is more of a 15 min break for me. I don’t want it to be ”I am a slow reader/searcher, it’s all my fault that I didn’t get that egg”.
It varies from person to person, of course.

Also someone who’s been veteran of DC would've already knowN the desc as well as the egg sprites so they lose practically nothing. I am saying it would be more advantageous for new players to recognize both.

(And the introduction of market must've had much more hard punch economy than simple egg sprite)

P.s: Some of the desc are very similar or identical to each other which was confusing at first.

  11. Introduction: Hi. Welcome to the topic of making the Market a bit more useful.

Bless the Market it’s really good but my idea is maybe letting us buy more egg slots or hatchling slots. I know we already can obtain slots via trophy but I think we need more slots

Body: How it might work and how to limit the over-flooding.

    “Price curve and max slots”:

Bronze: +1 egg slots, +2 hatchling slots available for around 9k-10k shards per slot
Silver: +1 egg slots, +2 hatchling slots  available for around 20k-30k shards per slot

Gold: +1 egg slots, +2 hatchling slots  available for around 50k-70k shards per slot

Platinum: +1 egg slots, +2 hatchling slots  available for around 70k-100k shards per slot and etc

Basically put limit on the slots you can buy via Trophy and amount of Shards you have. Or you could require some type of dragon that has “Dig” BSA which let’s you have more space for a shard, of course still limited to your Trophy tier.

Conclusion: I don’t have a biggest idea atm so feel free to criticize this topic.

Edit 2: My ideas aren’t very creative but I do like the idea of temporary slots more now.

No support for buying egg slots. Or indeed, anything but eggs.

...But if you could buy them they should cost a MINIMUM of 10,000 shards EACH.

    Ruby Eyes said:

Personally, I think your prices are too low. An eggslot should be more valuable than the most expensive creatures in the Market.

Getting an egg from the cave (5 shards) + hatching it (3 shards) + raising it to adulthood (3 shards) = 11 shards per self-caught-and-raised adult. Doing that 1000 times (platinum trophy) gets you 11000 shards, though you need to pace that so you don't surpass your weekly limit. That's 110 weeks = 2 years and some.

I think 11k should be the absolute minimum for a slot of any sort, even if it's only a temporary slot.

  12. I hope this is not duplicate suggestion but here we go.

    Introduction: What is this?

Hello and welcome to the topic of “Egg sprites from caves should be revealed” or also known as “please revamp the question mark egg from exploring”.

Context: This is a small idea I had after CB paper dragon snatched from me while I was “reading around” and “stealing eggs”.

Main point: I think we should be able to at least see sprites of the already discovered/owned eggs. Which would make the exploring more interesting and quick.

    Conclusion: Why?
Reading is a much slower process than looking at a single image. Someone is ought to snatch that rare egg before me while I’m reading the description with excitement. Which means if you are late just by a second, you are not getting that Aeon wyvern. It’s problematic for newbies like me. I don’t wanna scroll through the whole wiki to find it was just a common egg and get egg-locked. Not to mention “Which Egg is which” section doesn’t have a rarity column and that is another small hassle.

Abandoned egg page is not the best either but that’s another discussion for another day.

This will make ”exploring” more fun. But the only downside is it might take some server space and loading time. Unless if we make it optional for users we’ll be just fine. Maybe a switch in user settings to disable or enable the “Enigma Egg”.

Closing: I don’t have the biggest understanding on game coding but all I know is it’s a giant mess.

But logically if I know what that egg looks like then why am I looking at a grey oval with a question mark on it?

Which doesn’t make sense even logically/lore-wise?

Gameplay-wise I think it might have been an attempt to minimize server space? Idk

Thank you for reading, I hope you have a great day! :)
