  1. We have a community garden plot and have been experimenting with what veggies grow well in Central Florida. It seems the root vegetables have done the best... Carrots, radish, shallots. Also grew lettuce and tomatoes well. No luck anything from the squash family... At home I have an orchid collection on the lanai / front porch area... 15 -20 plants, most of which are doing well. I also have some pitcher plants and a few potted house plants outside (cats would eat them inside).. and the yard has caladiums, butterfly weed and native firebush, passionflower, and porterweed. We bought the property with lots of random plants/trees on it: snake plants are a weed here. Small orchard of citrus trees, avocado, mango, lychee, persimmon, even a mulberry tree. There's a grapevine (Niagara grapes... They grow in FL but don't produce well)... Overall the yard has more stuff than we know what to do with really! Florida: where everything grows.
  2. Took me until today but finally caught 4 of each. The pygmies took me awhile. Thank you TJ for the new release and on an entirely unrelated note... 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 Happy Gay Pride Day! (Last Sunday in June, in the USA) 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
  3. Thank you TJ! I didn't win until this month myself but am thrilled the chances of winning will be better for the future. (I still need a shimmer after all! Any would do!)
  4. I.... I won?! 🎉😍 My first prize: a silver tinsel, precogged female. Wow! 🤩
  5. Done! I had mediocre luck but 25 total lindwyrms produced! 1 Blusang:(out of 3 attempts... meh....) 3 red-finned tidals: (didn't track attempts but I think all 3 were winners) 2 Seawyrm Pygmy (out of 3 attempts), 2 Script: (I kept one of these) 2 out of 2 tries though, win!! 5 Risensongs: (might keep one, didn't track attempts) 6 Setsongs (out of 8 attempts), 6 (out of 11 attempts) Two-headed Lindwyrms: (one which wins for messiest) Most went to the AP, some I traded away, and I still need to raise 2 myself.
  6. Sure I'm game for this. I have scripts, red fin tidals, risensongs/setsongs, and two headed lindworms to breed.
  7. The sky silk is the dragon version of a drag queen to me. I mean... All the colors! Scales always gleaming despite little birds flitting about. That Hair. Floating around graceful, all chill and awesome. You go girl! With that said I don't know about breeding pairings, except maybe go for the contrasting uber-macho. Perhaps Reds? Firegems? Ash?
  8. Music skills: 0. I am musically dsylexic. I can't read music (multiple people tried to teach me) and I can only play an instrument by memorizing the movements. I tried several instruments in school... clarinet, violin, flute, guitar, piano... all fails. I appreciate music but can't duplicate it. But I am very skilled in visual arts... I can draw, paint, make sculpture, crafts, whatever... So it balances out.
  9. Fairly commonly, but mixed in with others now. I was able to get one of each within a single drop just now.
  10. Love the Danger noodles! Lol. Actually those burrowing dragons remind me of chipmunks...
  11. Our community garden plot is doing some weird things: The radishes are.... splitting? (You pull one up and it looks like it "grew too big for the skin" and split down the middle - some ended up looking heart-shaped. The center where it splits rots out though.) I've never seen that before. Also our little corn row (15-20 plants total, 2 rows) is already putting out pollen heads at the top. But they're only about 2 feet tall? Precocious puberty in corn? So Strange! All our tomato plants have gone kaput. But they produced well for awhile, I think it was just their time. But the other plants... I don't know what's up with them. We have an automatic sprinkler set up to water the garden mornings/evenings for 15 minutes each time. So it's definitely not lack of water. And Florida so... no lack of sunlight. The soil is mostly sand - so I guess it could be lack of nutrients although we mixed in compost before planting.... perhaps not enough? *shrugs*

  14. We have a community garden plot and have been experimenting with what veggies grow well in Central Florida. So far we've grown tomatoes, lettuce (romaine), sweet peas, shallots, cucumber, summer squash, peppers, and now we are working on corn, radishes, onions, bush beans, and more cucumbers and tomatoes. At home I have an orchid collection on the lanai / front porch area... 15 -20 plants, most of which are doing well. I also have some pitcher plants and a few potted house plants outside (cats would eat them inside).. and the yard has caladiums, butterfly weed and native firebush and porterweed. 15. I bred a few eggs for this, I'm egglocked to autoAPed. I am afraid the new release might ruin the thunder of this event however. :-/
  16. Fire Gems, especially blue and green. Love the hatching sequence too.
  17. Anyone have a 3G purebred MALE monarch? I found a AP egg that's now a hatchling... was about to freeze then realized she was a good Encyclopedia find. https://dragcave.net/lineage/NGd49 I have enough CBs to breed a purebred mate but it would take me awhile from the start. If anyone has a 3G MALE who wants this one, message me. If not I'll keep her and work on the lineage myself.
  18. Triple meaning name: 1) If you say "One that wanders" quickly it sounds like Wonderwanders. 2) I used to be a "modern gypsy" aka working seasonal jobs for National Park Service all over the country. Didn't have a house/apartment - lived full time in a travel trailer. Hence: a wanderer. And I never knew where I'd be next hence "wonder" 3) I'm a thinker (brain has no OFF button) and my mind wanders off a lot and frequently the tangents can be hard to connect to each other - if I'm foolish enough to try to talk to someone at a time like that. I've gotten better at communication with time but I'll say "Point A" ...think B, C, and D then jump to "Point E" and leave people going..... wait... huh?! Why and how did we get from talking about a silly cat video to discussing the pros and cons of self-driving Uber cars?

  20. mis-clicked the mate and can't believe I messed this up: https://dragcave.net/lineage/0Yyhn *sigh* must wait two days to try again. Lost a week.
  21. I like baking, don't do it as often as I used to... (time. *sigh*) but I still make cookies and the occasional cake. I've also made biscuits (mostly from the can... does that count?) but I did make them from scratch once... when I realized I didn't have any! LOL the store-bought dough was better though LOL I know what I'm doing wrong... I just don't have the patience for all that chilled butter / rolling / layering / more chilled butter business. And I've made those big soft pretzels. That's a super simple recipe - so simple it was used as a craft project at a camp! We have a persimmon tree in the yard and about the only thing I've found to do with the fruit is make persimmon-raisin cookies - which are very rich and cake-like and my friends just eat those things up! Baked goods are a weakness of mine there's few I don't like...
  22. Never did the DNA test but mostly.. German, Austrian, and English. Rumors of some Iroquois (Native American) I grew up thinking I was Russian. Great grandparents spoke Russian, went to Russian Orthodox Church, ate Russian foods (Haluptkie?), even celebrated Russian Christmas.... w/ Those cute wooden little nesting dolls. My world was blown away when Grandma said no we were Austrian they just were blending in. LOL.
