  1. I could see this... ESPECIALLY IF Prizes were also available in the Market and you could save up those Consolation prizes toward s a purchase of one, someday. Since they are currently NOT...well, I can see both sides of this arguement. No strong eelings one way or the other from me.notopposed but not STRONGLY in favor of either. THOUGH yu could still spend those extra shards on other dragons, I suppose...
  2. DO our scrolls currently have IDs? If they DO then perhaps that would be the way to go. It would need to be made visible in some way As I am not even sure HOW to find the ID number for my scroll if it has one. At said, it IS true that the forums are different in that they DO sort of require direct interaction with others ( That is sort of their point!) while one's scroll doesn't and , indeed doesn't allow it! My only concern IS that a mixed up mess of numbers might be harder to remember than a name.
  3. I fail to see why this couldn't WORK in a manner similar to the way the name changing on forums. You can change the name, but previous names are still visible/accessible to others for ID? I could ALSO see something like a scroll ID number working well, too. THIS could EVEN be shown on the hub. ( Possibly in place of the scroll name?)
  4. Yep, and actually being able to see BOTH total growing things AND eggs would be helpful on our scrolls as well, I think. I support this idea. Would be helpful with new releases and such especially.... NOT having to go back to our scroll to see how many slots we still have for catching.
  5. Hmmm... I guess I can say that I have always identified myself as a female, ALTHOUGH I can sort of relate to what you wrote. Interesting question. I guess, myself,I always put it up to stereotypes NOT being accurate.
  6. This is what I am thinking too. I can imagine this pair using their combined abilities to make all sorts of mischief!
  7. this! Supper creative with the designs on BOTH genders of the rifts. Although I adore the cute ickle pygmies, too. AND THIS... tee-hee-hee! I am going to have fun describing these guys. SHOPLIFTING Riftwyrms and cranky green dragons. I LOVE it XDDDDDD I can't WAIT to see what I can come up with.... BTW! Am I the only one that thinks the rifts will look good in lineages with Arcanae?
  8. Managed to catch a decent fill of the pygmies (4 total... 2 male and 2 female) ... still trying to get some of those elusive 'otherworldly' eggs. Well, back to hunting, for now!
  9. I am having trouble... I am not receiving my e,ail to activate my account. please help!
  10. WELL, and Fuzz is right in that any ideas we come up with are going to have to get passed TJ's approval. ALWAYS an 'if'. That being said, I DO agree with you on improvement being possible here. We just need to know what TJ is WILLING to change.
  11. Honestly... I have just had to learn to be patient. Yes, it is sad to see your descrips pending for months at a time. I hate to complain because I KNOW there is often a massive pile of descrips waiting for our mods' attention. Thing is... I enjoy doing them enough that for me , it is worth it. At said, I can say I would be happy to see our system for getting them through improved. As it is, I KNOW the thing puts a lot of pressure on our mods, and I think more mods... including some whose sole responsibility was to address descrip concerns... might be beneficial. I could also see Fuzz's idea of a filter of some kind and sanctions against using descrips for those that abuse it too often ( we already do the second for names and for 'wants' in the trading hub, for example, so it CAN be done.) I could also see the idea of user 'accepts' pushing a descrip up the line? MIGHT give people more incentive to go on there and review. I am not SURE how I feel about too many 'recjects' wiping a descrip and making you do over. That is SIMPLY because sometimes people reject without giving you ANY reason why... and if you had an unpopular user, I could see people rejecting and wiping their stuff purely because they could. Maybe too many rejects would also call a mods' attention? Weed out some of the worst ones THAT way? While avoiding the possibility for abuse with it?
  12. I just tried Leodons with Lihnseyres.... o.o LOVELY!
  13. This. Even IF an egg is picked up, there is no guarantee it will survive. It might be used as a neglected experiment, for example, or given to a vampire to bite. ( I admit... that is quite OFTEN how I find fodder for my vampires when they are in a Bitey mood.) Let alone the person who picked it up might be view bombed, or they might be a newbie and have not quite figured out how to raise their eggies yet. OR They might have picked it up with the idea of making a zombie of it, one day. There are any NUMBER of things that can happen to an egg. AND I would add that EVEN keeping the eggie on your scroll is NO ABSOLUTE guarantee it will be safe from view bombers, for instance. Do eggs of mine sometimes die? Yes, and it is sort of sad when they do ( I even know of one dragon of mine who has an offspring that was turned into a Neglected Dragon XD) , BUT... somewhat beyond my control. You really CAN'T absolutely ensure that your dragons' progeny will be safe and flourish. As Fuzz said, I carry on breeding what I feel like WHEN I feel like, anyway.... and I prefer to give others that same freedom. I get your point, however, that there probably ARE people who hunt the AP looking for something VERY specific... sometimes I do as well... and that an egg being tossed back doesn't NECESSARILY mean it was a thoughtless breeding. BUT I also agree with Fuzz in that what constitutes 'thoughtless breeding' or an 'undesirable lineage' is in the eye of the beholder. There are people on here that specifically hunt for the messiest lineages they can find, after all and just because I don't want a particular egg doesn't MEAN that some other user wouldn't LOVE to have that same egg on their scroll. AND just because their preferences on their scroll differ from mine doesn't make them any less valid.
  14. Oooh! I am gonna Pilfer ALL of your Infinity dragons! * Snap*
  15. Yep, yep. That is more or less how I see it, too.
  16. This... I always sort of viewed stalking the AP as shopping a rummage sale. The stuff that is there is THERE because its owner doesn't want it. You look because you never know what you might find, but it isn't guaranteed to be full of treasures. For THAT matter , we aren't guaranteed to find what we want when we go tot he biomes for hunting, either. At is all part of the game. I appreciate being able to play how i like with my dragons, and, though I understand WHY others might find walls annoying, I would say NO to anything that would impact another person's ability to breed what they like WHEN they like. Just because I don't want the dragons in the wall, doesn't mean there aren't other people who are gleefully grabbing all they can while the getting is good.
  17. Awesome! Thank you, thank you @Mewtie! I THOUGHT it looked like it might be, but with vines it is hard to tell!
  18. I have a vine hatchie that I am trying to tell whether or not is an alt... DIFFICULT. Please help!
  19. Absolutely agreed. Though I would also state that IF I were a winner, I wouldn't be above making a few beneficial trades with my prize babs to get me closer to my goals for my scroll. A little hard to blame others if they do the same. At said, i would like to think i would gift some also.
  20. +1 to 'adding more winners per raffle' from me! Admittedly that is MAINLY from the purely selfish motivation of 'more winners being picked means more chances for yours truly to be selected as one'. On the other HAND I can see the benefits of having more prizes around over all, too. AND as for 'value' I think prizes BEING so overvalued was, for a while, a HUGE problem, actually. The situation has improved, slowly but surely and this would move it further in the right direction.
  21. I SORT of like this idea, actually. I NEVER use earthquake primarily because I usually have eggs on my scroll I care about more than other s .... and an EQ could potentially effect them all!
  22. I see your point BUT! I was thinking of some of the far more complicated stuff dogs have been trained to do... well beyond a simple 'sit, stay'. Dogs have been trained to act as guides for the blind and helpers for the disabled... as well as assistance to law enforcement and all sorts of things. Admittedly not all dogs are smart enough for such, but I would picture these guys as on the level of a SMART dog? Also admittedly it would definitely take some training to get it right... BUT that is where the suggestion of a fail rate would come in, perhaps?
  23. AND I would add that people have trained DOGS to do some pretty remarkable things, too... I don't see why a drake couldn't be trained with the proper reinforcement.
  24. True, scary, but... if I may, the descrip strongly SUGGESTS that that is EXACTLY what we have going on there. A drake with some pretty remarkable powers.
