  3. So how do people know when eggs they've bred are going to arrive on the AP, anyway? It makes no sense to me. When I look at an egg on there now it says it was laid yesterday, but has 5 days 3 hours left. How does that happen? If the person had kept it it would have 6 days 3 hours left, wouldn't it? Does it automatically go down a day upon being abandoned, does it go down more over time, something else?
  4. HAVE: 2g gold from arcana. I can breed Halloween checkers in return, or I can breed 2nd gen Halloweens when the season starts (all breeds), or I can give uncommons/rares for them. PM me if interested. 🙂
  6. As long as I'm dreaming, I'd also like a pygmy Holiday dragon. For a Christmas tree ornament! But I've been longing for a 2-headed Halloween for yeeeeears now...

I prefer eggs with nicely named ancestors, though beggars can't always be choosers!
  9. That's a good idea. Browser fills arent always the best at telling one website apart from another, but I'll give it a try. I still can't think of any downside to making it optional in the first place. People who find it helpful to have all uses of fertility password locked could still keep it that way. Only people who find it an unhelpful hassle would opt out.
  10. Does your 70 year old sister use your computer and mess with your Dragon Cave account, though? I mean I may be overgeneralizing, but that seems like pretty much a teen/tween kind of problem. 😉 Once I use my password once to log onto DC, I'm the only one who has access to it, so I really never need to enter it again. For me, it's a pointless time-waster... especially if I'm on my phone and/or want to influence and incubate 8 eggs or something like that. That's why I'd love for password protection on individual actions to be a settings option. If it's useful to other people then great, but it's useless and unpleasant for me, so I wish I could turn it off!
  11. I don't mind when my fumble fingers cause me to miss an egg, that's the challenge of the game-- but having to correctly type my password into the little box every 10 seconds is both frustrating and completely pointless. 🙂
  12. I wish password protection could be optional. I'm in my 40's, I don't have a roommate or sibling trying to mess with my dragon adoptables account. But I do find it extremely frustrating to have to keep typing my password when I'm on the phone. My fingers slip and I hit the wrong key a lot. For me, it's an unpleasant waste of time to keep having to do every time I want to take any action. I wouldn't want to just do away with it because some people do share a computer with a vengeful tween sister or something like that, but making it optional would save me personally a world of hassle. I think what would really be great would be if whenever you picked up an egg from the AP, not only did it take you straight to its lineage page, but gave you option buttons right there to keep or drop it. At the holidays, in particular, people like to drop cool lineages to the AP and it's fun to look through them for something interesting but when I'm on my phone I don't even bother. It takes forever to pick each egg up, look at it, and then either drop it or influence it. Being able to mouse over AP eggs and see their lineage before clicking would also be really nice, though that wouldn't work on my phone either.
  13. I HAVE: 2nd-gen bronze shimmer, influenced female (for a spiral.) https://dragcave.net/lineage/FcfPg I WANT: *2nd-gen prize I can make a stairstep with *CB metal *Offer from my sig Feel free to make other offers, but I'll probably just keep her otherwise... I'm not big on spirals but I don't have a dragon from this progenitor yet. 🙂 PM me or offer on the trade link: https://dragcave.net/teleport/5e9b97f6949a7b532114e1ebca7d53aa
  14. Well, if they sent them PMs already and the person isn't responding then there's nothing else they can do... the person knows the breeder wants it back, it's up to them now.
  15. Still weird that a bidding war sprang up though. If the original breeder wanted it back they could just PM the person, their name is showing on the egg. Instead everyone seems to be competing to be the one to retrieve it LOL. Anyway I was just looking for rules clarification, not judging anyone else's playstyle here, if people want to have bidding wars over specific eggs it's no skin off my nose...
  16. I thought for sure it must have some amazing code like "Draco" or something, but I clicked through to it out of curiosity (it's easy to find with the date and parent names and all), and it's not. Maybe it's a bet or something, LOL. I don't know that it's a good thing having so many trades that are solely aimed at one person, especially when they're such nice stuff and everyone else knows they can never participate, but I sure don't think anyone should be banned for it, I just wondered what the heck, you know?
  17. Everyone is looking for a specific yellow zyu prizefail. They don't name the person who has it or give its code, but they give its parents and the date it was born. They keep offering neglected dragons, multiple CB golds, and other expensive things for it and only it. At the time I posted earlier, 3 of the top 9 trades were asking for it, it's really hard to miss. But maybe because the name and code weren't given, this is okay? Geez, I don't want to get people in trouble, I just wanted to know if the rules have changed...!
  18. So is it allowed to ask for a specific egg off another user's scroll in the Trade Hub or not? I ask because people have been doing it nonstop since last night--like 30% of the top trades are just asking this one person to trade his or her egg with them. Is that ok now as long as you don't use the other person's actual scroll name?
  19. That adequately answers my question. Thanks.
  20. Perhaps I'm phrasing my question badly. The users who were rude and off-topic were first warned, then had their messages deleted (and probably received a forum penalty.) Isn't that what's supposed to happen? Why was the thread also blocked and the topic closed off, when the warning-deletion system seemed to be working correctly? The mod note in that case specifically said the offending messages had been deleted, so presumably all the other suggestions and comments were acceptable. With the offending poster(s) successfully warned and disciplined, it's still the policy to end the discussion anyway? Again, this is intended as clarification, not an attack. But it's sounding like this is the mod intent: if a few people act rude about a topic, then not only are they warned and deleted, the thread is killed. And topics that are well-known to make some people become rude, like sprite updates et al, are de facto no-go zones for the same reason. Correct?
  21. Cant do from my phone, I'm afraid, but it's the one about fixing problems with the AP. The mod specifically said it was being closed because some person or people had posted rude posts about other members which had been deleted. The same thing has, honestly, happened many other times in the past, usually in threads about raffles or sprite updates. I'd like to know if it's actual site policy to shut down topics on which a few users had to be censored, or just a random kind of thing. I never have any idea whether it's against the rules to bring the topic up ever again whenever that happens. (ETA: the thread I'm referencing recently was in Suggestions and is called Cave Blockages - AP. Note, I never saw the deleted messages in question and am not trying to defend them in any way, just asking what the policy actually IS on shutting a topic because of a deleted post.)
  22. Ok, this is a genuine question: Why? This happened to a non mod related thread I was following recently. We have a perfectly good warning, deleting, and banning system on this forum. If some users disobey mods or post inappropriate things they are warned and their posts deleted. So why ALSO lock the thread and forbid the topic, the offending posts already having been dealt with? Is this primarily a time saving measure? ("Yes" is an ok answer...)
  23. Unfortunately not. The last ~3 topics I've had something to say about have all been placed into situations where there is no "correct" place to talk about them. One was apparently closed because somebody said something rude on the thread, which was deleted before I saw it, but now the topic is closed because of it. So I suppose I'd better stop saying anything about this topic too. Before I do I should at least point out that I dont disagree with TJs decision to ban whoever this is at all, especially if there was sexual harassment involved; I know nothing about the case, I just disagree with the premise that telling the community what happened and what the rules are would create more trouble. Most people are not troublemakers and behave better with more understanding, not worse.
