  1. This is all awesome. I have two of each new egg, and they're gorgeous. I love the updates, especially the market, though I'm curious about all the ways we can earn money. Breeding and raising eggs, yes. I wonder what else qualifies? But it's a great idea, for sure. 🙂
  2. I spent all day the other day catching my hollies and yulebucks. I prefer that to having to deal with people who were lucky enough to have been in the DC back when those dragons first came out. I have no desire to lord it over people who just joined a few years ago, and so don't have the Holiday dragons that I caught then.
  3. Every time someone says something along these lines, I feel this enormous urge to breed the messiest, most god awful lineage I could possibly think of. Some people don't care about lineages. Other people don't have enough CB dragons to breed lovely neat approved lineages. Some people have a favourite dragon that they want to breed and can't find a perfect mate for, so they do the best they can. There are no rules about breeding these little fantasy creatures, but every once in a while someone pops up who wants to apply rules. Yes, we can do what we want with them. It's not brain surgery.
  4. I took this egg. Thanks. It will be loved, and when I get caught up on naming, it will be named. :-)
  5. I do. I do. It will be loved and cared for, and when I can, named. I'm way behind on my naming, but I will get around to it. :-)
  6. I took the two Chronos, because I can't resist them. Thanks. They will be loved and, eventually, named. :-)
  7. I would like to join. My scroll: https://dragcave.net/user/Greenlady I have 4 adult olives born and raised in 2017. I also have 2 hatchlings and 4 eggs, so in a few days I'll have 10 new olives. I am adding "-2017" to their names. I have organized my scroll by breed. At the moment, my olives start at the bottom of page 14 and go on to page 15. This might change if new breeds are created whose names begin with a letter before "O" of course. :-) I will update as the details change.
  8. Thanks, TJ. It was a great game, and I loved my house so much. I really want to be able to see it again, so thanks.
  9. Sob! My house is gone. :-(
  10. I have my house in its final stage of decoration, and I love it on an unreasonable level. I want to go on living in it. Sigh. :-)
  11. I guess the game will be over soon. :-( I must say I loved it. It's so much fun decorating the little house and wandering around two villages helping people. I hope this game will return for another holiday celebration. Thanks to all the people who made it possible. This game must have taken a lot of work. Cheers and Happy New Year to you all. :-)
  12. Wow! I had my house just as I wanted it, except for a cat bed and a fireplace. Now I have those, too, but that meant I had to redecorate to fit in the fireplace. This is fun. I wish I lived in a world where I could deliver parcels to people and get gorgeous new furniture in return. :-) But I agree with some posters who have said they'd like to have extra rooms and/or decorate other people's houses. Some of those other houses are sort of bare and cheerless. Also, I have a bedroom, a living room, and a study/library. I'd like a kitchen and a bathroom and a dining room. This isn't a complaint, just a wish list. I've been getting so involved with these little people and dragons and their lives. I'm wondering about some of the houses who seem to have no one living in them, but I can just walk in. Strange. :-)
  13. I feel the same way. I'm starting to feel at home in this game. Sigh.
  14. I've completed the story line, and now I'm delivering mail and sledding for more furniture. This was such a fun game, and I admire all the people who worked on it. :-) Also, I've been skating on that little frozen pond near the sled run. Does anyone else do this?
  15. These weird sort of things happened to me, too. Avery got trapped in the jungle and was acting strange. I took a break and let Avery sleep it off, and eventually all was well. :-)
  16. That's how I justified it. :-) But he might at least say something like that himself: 'Sorry, I can't help you push the pillars, but I used all my strength opening the doors.' Then I'd feel less like his servant. :-) This is a great game, though. Going on missions to save the world, delivering mail, herding cats for cat sweater knitting dragons, decorating my house. I'm starting to wish I could live there in real life.
  17. Well, I can be an idiot too, but it would be strange if we were both being idiots but in different ways, wouldn't it? Hmmm, maybe not, but still..... :-) Okay. I have been back to the jungle, though, and I keep trying to get Avery to act normal, without success. I think I'm going to take a break and let Avery get some sleep and go back and just start the jungle puzzles without him. I've been doing all the heavy lifting anyway. :-)
  18. Okay, something weird happened. I started the new adventure, flying to the ice temple and then went to the water temple. All was going well, but then Avery didn't follow me. I turned back and found him, and he said something about new puzzles. We left the temple together, but then I lost him again. I went back and found him in the jungle, but he's acting strange, and he seems trapped there. I went home, hoping he'd meet me there, but he didn't. Turned off my browser, and all that technical stuff, but Avery is still trapped in the jungle, suffering from jungle fever or something. Poor Avery. :-) Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?
  19. My poor little SNOWA (I like the name so I kept it) developed the most annoyed expression on her face, I swear. And on our way home, she was just trudging, and looking exhausted. I escorted her into her bedroom, and set her up near her bed. I wish we could put our little avatars into bed at the end of the day. :-)
  20. My thought, too. I mean, I thought we were both on this quest, and sure, he does the magic to open the doors, but he could have pushed at least one of those ginormous pillars. But, no. He just stands there and orders me to move them. :-)
  21. I agree. Despite my frustration at my own cluelessness, I love the game. I appreciate all the work that TJ and the spriters put into it. I also appreciate the help from the people on this forum. I do wish I could figure out more on my own, but as I get more practice I am doing better. I found Bord without checking out the maps of his hiding places, and I won the sled race all on my own, too. I rounded up the cats even faster the second time. So, I think I'm doing okay, if not great. Thanks again to the people who designed and worked on this event. :-)
  22. The Post Office is right next door to your house, across the street going west, through the town square. :-)
  23. First I tried figuring it all out on my own. Then I came to the forum and tried reading all the posts about the event, but I couldn't find the info I needed. Then I went back to the game and tried on my own again. Then I came back here. Then I went to the Dragon Cave wiki, and I googled about the Dragon cave christmas event, and so on and so on. Finally I posted a tiny little question about how to find something. No one answered that first question, so I went back to trying to figure it out on my own. I nearly gave up, but finally was successful. And so the second time I had a problem, I looked for the answers here, got tired of scrolling through page after page, and just asked a question. This time I got the info I needed. I wasn't trying to be a nuisance, and I'm sorry that I'm not one of those people who can just figure out these games all on their own. I love the game, but I'm tired of scrolling through thousands of answers about how to play it without finding what I'm looking for. There comes a time when it doesn't seem worth it to play when it takes so much time and there is so little reward.
  24. Thanks to the people who helped me find Hilde. Whew! This game is a lot of fun, but by the time I found Hilde I felt like Stanley must have felt when he found Livingstone. :-)
