  1. That moment when someone apparently decides to drop my scroll into as many hatcheries as they can just when I'm waiting for someone to take a 2G gold shimmerscale for an IOU we agreed on a week ago. Haha, viewbomber. Joke's on you. Shimmers are harder to kill that way (and the other guy caught it pretty quickly and the egg is now fogged) and everything else was ready to hatch.
  2. How to tell that I am bored: I have nothing but striped eggs on my scroll. 😕 My dragon has chosen his faction! Forum Username: Afeare Dragon Name: Febagh of Candor (CB) Lineage: https://dragcave.net/lineage/F9BaG I could announce the 3G Amity baby I precog'ed and have already named in my Excel doc, but I think I'll save it for the mass-upload of dragons I'll be posting in a couple days.

Hoping for a male but I
  4. Egg has been sent. Didn't really need another 2G Dauntless at this particular juncture since my dragons usually mate for life and this would have been 2G Dauntless #3, so might as well share.
  5. I may have lazed aboot for a while on naming and announcing these guys... Also, I have two eggs tacked in here (the Amity duo) that have been Precog'ed and named in my Excel doc. They will be given their herein-listed names as soon as they hatch and the naming feature becomes available. I also have three more eggs that will be added after they hatch and gender. (Or after they've been precog'ed (if that happens), since I ran out of Aeons after discovering that the Abnegation egg of the unnamed trio (Abnegation, Dauntless, and Erudite) would have been female without any Influence. 😕 Don't need a

  7. My dragon has chosen its faction! Forum Username: Afeare Dragon Name: Hesica of Abnegation (2G) Lineage: https://dragcave.net/lineage/He5lC I have three Candors soon to join... But that will be a few days yet.
  8. (This is an amazing idea and I feel like joining it... As soon as I sort through all my Stripeds and figure out what's eligible to join. And then rename everything.) Well... Less than I'd hoped for, but more than I'd actually expected. My dragons have chosen their factions! 9. It's not pretty, but it's not inbred, and this is the first baby I've had 'come back to me.' I dumped a whole lot of babies into the AP during Valentines because I got myself egglocked rather quickly and then just, well, couldn't take any bred eggs. This little darling is descended from As'cre Hato and his mate Xef'cys, and I had a legitimate freakout when I realized it. So thanks to anyone and everyone who dumped it to the AP (and kept re-dumping it, because I know it poofed away for a minute). https://dragcave.net/lineage/apdyk
  10. Yay, drakes and pygmies! <3
  11. I really like the flexible cool down suggestion. It would be a massive help for the people trying to do weekly breedings. That time creep is definitely a pain in the butt--especially when I do most of my breeding at 4a-6a during the weekdays and then midday on the weekends. :/ If I miss breeding a pair before I go to work on Monday because it won't let me breed them yet, I usually don't come back to it until Tuesday, and then I've lost almost an entire day.
  12. Ha, I knew it! I saw that and immediately brought it to my skype group. But a certain doubter was being a doubter, so I dragged it here. (Also, love your avatar! ) Alas, Tales of the Abyss is a rather obscure fandom. It's taken me a long time to find as many people as I have that do know about it. (And half of them don't count because I introduced them to it.) Abyssal Starlight was also one of the last three or four flowers I got, or I'd have been in the thread asking about it much sooner. Aside from the obvious Frozen reference, I don't think I noticed much of anythi
  13. Mine just totally crashed. RIP screen, included. Edit: And now it's unavailable for maintenance.
  14. Okay, throwing this one at the people who came up with all the flowers... Do I detect a Tales of the Abyss reference over here? Because if that's not an intentional reference to selenias, it's a very, very, VERY interesting coincidence.
  15. ...And then my coworkers had to ask me if I was going to need help. One does not simply die laughing in silence, I'm afraid.
  16. And the friendly neighborhood pyromaniac is loose~ (Lutari_Takira)
  17. Sent one myself~ Scroll is Lutari_Takira.
  18. Aaaaaahhhhhh, I'm so torn! (Have been for a couple days, actually.) I'm not the greatest fan of Gemshards, but this looks too enticing to simply walk away from. At the same time, picking a Clan would be easier on my conscience if Sky (the one I've already eliminated due to the fact that I've got enough blue-colored lineages going and don't need more) wasn't lagging behind by a member. ...I'll have to make up my mind some other time. I have coding work I'm supposed to be doing and some cave-stalking to do as I try to track down the CB Pyro I need for this checker I so
  19. Yeah, holidays can be tricky, but the Snows and Garlands have similar color schemes and both compliment the Gaias, so it just made sense to me~ Since I've only got one CB Snow myself, the furthest I'll be able to take it before Christmas rolls around again (phrased such hoping they do the Holiday biome again) will be 4 generations. At the 5G point I'd have to hand the offspring off to other people for it to be continued.
  20. Planning on turning this lovely darling into a Gaia/Snow/Garland spiral. (Mostly because I personally detest checkers and have exactly one checker lineage I'm working on, as opposed to my half a dozen spirals.) Here's hoping the Influence worked, or I'm going to be banging my head in frustration again.
  21. Roasty toasty viewbombers, roasty toasty viewbombers~ Okay, no, in all seriousness though, I don't like the cold, so 'fire' is my automatic response to "Ice or Fire?"
  22. Thankfully, I seem to have found my way away from the viewbombers. The last of my babies from the two nests that got caught by them have grown up, and I managed to find another caveborn Zyumorph, though I'm still upset I lost (FILMS). (The new one's blue instead of white, too...)
  23. I used an EQ on my second 'nest' during the viewbombing madness. I had seven sick eggs and killed... five of them. I did manage to hatch Iuncy, though she remained sick for another near 20 or so hours. And this is also one of two dragons that survived the first 'nest' (the other had hatched pretty quickly as it was low on time), so naming her Iuncy the Survivor was a rather fitting move. One of the other eggs was unaffected, but died less than half an hour later--while fogged, mind you--from sickness. So many dead dragons...
  24. I lost 11 eggs before I started fogging ALL of them. Only using AoND now, all eggies/hatchies are in and no one's fogged, but I'm keeping an eye on them anyway. Iuncy (code iunCy, after 48 hours worrying over this poor baby, it sounded like a good enough name) the Survivor has gendered (female! :D) and been named. Was sick for most of her life, finally shook it off early afternoon yesterday. (2:30 cave time) The rest of my eggies are all doing well enough. Hopefully the insanity is over. (Also, @SheridanCharon, love the gif in your siggy.)
  25. Hopefully by now most of DC is aware of the horrible plague that has struck us in this time which should be filled, not with illness-stricken hatchlings and the empty, cold shells of dead eggs, but with the cheer, joy, and hope that follows the Christmas season. Though all efforts are being made to combat this terrible plague, we cannot forget the hundreds--nay, thousands of innocent eggs and hatchlings that have been lost to this tragic act of cruelty. In an effort to release my frustration and sorrow, I began to do what I, as an author, do best: I wrote. In between ch
