  1. I totally agree with the idea of seeing more themes in the holiday dragons outside of just christmas ones, it would be really cool to see call outs to other winter holidays. Just because I don't celebrate them doesn't mean I can't enjoy their concepts. It would also be kind of cool to see some Dia de los Muertos dragons during the halloween release. Pulling from other cultures could lend us some interesting themes.
  2. As a kid, I never saw christmas as a distinctly religious thing (I lived with my mother who was never really overly religious, though she does believe in god), even when I was exposed to the christian elements, I focused more on the common spirit behind it. Just because a holiday started as one thing doesn't mean it can't be shaped into another (Most major holidays were, at their start, much different than what they are now, and even then they went through multiple changes). The intent of the christmas, halloween, and valentines dragons was never to single out any belief or anything of the like, it was to give something special to members. No one here is telling you what to believe or not believe, and a the name of the holiday is just that: a name. I know a lot of atheists who celebrate christmas as a time to be with family; they don't give it any other name to call it by. I think bringing religion (or a lackthereof) into the release of dragons isn't something that's necessary for a website like this.
  3. I technically first played league a few years ago, but I hated it back then (the tutorial was terrible, there was no co-op vs AI, and no tribunal). I stopped playing after a friend coaxed myself and a few others into playing a 5v5 normal game (we had been doing custom games with bots). It was a miserable experience, and I'm glad that the game has gotten a lot better since then. Last year I was looking into the game again and decided to give it another shot. Some friends and I played exclusively co-op vs AI games until we hit the late 20s in level, then we would play a few normals, but still focused on co-op vs AI until after we hit level 30. Now we're constantly grouping up and playing games almost every night (no more co-op vs AI unless we feel like just messing around), and even have started venturing into ranked teams a bit. I play all over the place in role and champion, though I suck at jungling. Sorry I type so much. XP
  4. I certainly couldn't have asked for a better one opportunity. c: Long time no see indeed.
  5. Also, just because someone leaves, it doesn't mean they can never come back.

    Twilight

Breaking Dawn's the last book, aside from Midnight Sun which is a companion to Twilight, redoing the book from Edward's point of view, and yet to come out.

    Twilight

I am so anxious for Midnight Sun! Yay! Because I just want to see how everything was from Edward's point of view. I wish Meyer would go through the whole series doing books for Edward, but she's not...so le sigh. Well except for Breaking Dawn...she should never ever do something like that again...from anyone's point of view. I agree, she should continue in his perspective, Id especially love to read Eclipse that way.. Eclipse would be VERY interesting from Edward's point of view '

    Twilight

Hopefully she doesn't XP And I'm very hopeful for Midnight Sun...the first chapter amuses me. X3

    Twilight

I can kind of see where she intended for the strength and independence thing to come across.... but half her actions defy that and the "smart" part....that I can't find much to.

    Twilight

Like I've said earlier in this thread, I don't know why her writing style appeals to me, it just does. I still stand by my theory on Bella and hearing her thoughts as to why I hate her....though I hold that for only the first book.

    Twilight

Ugh...I agree there Panlah... This book took things...too far... Seriously...Meyer is a great writer. Both Twilight and The Host are amazing books... but it seemed that Twilight as a series got worse as it went on... I do still have hope for Midnight Sun though, simply because I know she can't get too crazy with it as Twilight's events are already definite... It just seemed like Breaking Dawn was giving in to every crazed fanfiction writer's wishes....except maybe Jacob and Edward running off into the woods together (My friends and I joked that that was how it was going to end up ')

    Twilight

You have finally posted!! I have been waiting for you to since I knew you were wanting to finish up Breaking Dawn first. So you didn't like it, huh? Welcome to the club then! Lol So many bad things about it...so very, very many. Surprisingly, I didn't want to strangle Bella as much as I wanted someone to kill Jacob........so very badly... *twitch* His section of the book was torture...long drug out repetitive whiny torture... Which lends itself to my theory that the only reason most people hate Bella is because we're inside her head....because I liked Jacob...until he narrated... I did like the part with the other vampires coming in, that was actually...interesting...that or I was just really bored today...|D I was surprised by Alice's comeback, I didn't expect the what happened there. and Jasper's relationship with J. Jenks was a bit amusing. and Bella in pain for a whole chapter. That was nice.

    Twilight

I really just keep reading the books because: A. I can ignore her whining for the most part B. I like the author's writing style. C. I like the majority of the other characters.

    Twilight

In return, the lot of them love Edward. I think most girls hate Bella because she "stands in the way" or them "claiming" Edward. I, on the contrary, hate him. I like Edward as a character because I find him amusing for reasons I couldn't begin to explain. and when I said "sane fans" I meant, not the fangirling idiot types. Of course raving Edward fangirls are going to hate Bella. Just the same that any raving fangirl hates the character they're fangirling over's love interest. My friends and I hate Bella because she is annoying, whiny, and does nothing but complain about how apparently horrible her life is, when yet she's practically given everything on a silver platter. She's also horribly selfish. God forbid Edward get something he wants, but if Bella wants something, she'll do every little thing to get it.

    Twilight

*typed this before Panlah's most current post* Agreed. Though show me a book/series that doesn't have it flaws. Show me ANYTHING that doesn't have a flaw and I'll find some way to give you a million dollars. Bella is annoying, very annoying. Though part of it is that we're seeing it from her perspective. It does annoy me that all she sees is Edward and how pretty he is...in fact, I think every sane Twilight fan hates her to some extent.

    Twilight

I feel bad for poor Jacob XP @Panlah: You sound like my friend, only she wants to read the fourth book and only continues in hopes that Bella ends up in excrutiating pain ' I continue to read them because they just amuse me for some reason. I'm usually not one to like that type of book or fall into the usual bandwagon, but I read Twilight before it got really big, and I really like the author's writing style.

    Twilight

I think my problem with New Moon is that Bella just whines the whole time until Alice finally shows up. XP It was pretty much just her being depressed and stupid. The third book amused me quite a lot. X3' I have to say my favorite characters are Edward and Alice. Edward is very amusing, especially the way he reacts and thinks about things (which is why I can't wait for Midnight Sun. I read the first chapter on the website and it's amazing ) and Alice is just....amazing. XDD I don't like Bella very much, but I think that's mostly because we're listening to her thoughts which makes her seem ten times more selfish, whiny, and manipulative XP

    Twilight

Love the first book. Dislike the second for the most part. Love the third book. Don't want to wait until my birthday to read the fourth book. XP My mom went and bought Breaking Dawn but now I have to wait to read it ><' and all my versions are the big, bulky, hardcovers because I was getting them as they came out. ' I can't wait for Midnight Sun... and I hope the movie isn't terrible. EDIT: I also love The Host <3 Stephenie Meyer has such a beautiful writing style.
  24. MS Paint can't make transparencies, however most good art programs can. (Photoshop, flash, etc) (Though flash wouldn't be used for pixel art, and it's expensive if you don't have it.)
