I understand the rule being in place. Just from a breeding standpoint, I was unsure.

 

I don't breed lineages for myself and breeding to have lineages posted on here isn't my intention for doing so. Unless I intend to continue past a certain generation, I won't keep the offspring. Also, I can't always know when someone will be posting or has posted a record from a egg that was bred by myself.

 

This is coming out a bit contradictory I think, but the point of having breeder credit was something I wanted to bring up. I won't argue as to whether or not, just that I wanted it put into consideration.

Thanks for updating the records! I feel bad now that you had to go through my scroll without it sorted. I hope you have some better method than just searching through the mess that is my scroll! D:

 

No worries, like it says in the new and improved "things to note":

- Having all of your record-eligible dragons grouped together on your scroll helps records be checked (and therefore updated) quicker and easier. Due to the counting method now used, this only applies to records with a large variety of sprites, e.g. 'most hatchlings', and not to single breed records.

If you're interested in the exact method I use, I've detailed it in this Google doc (which is also linked from the FAQ).

Okay - well the conclusion is yes, people can request that additional credit is listed on the record (from now on - obviously I can't comment on what previous mods have or have not accepted).

 

Also, I can't always know when someone will be posting or has posted a record from a egg that was bred by myself.

Perhaps the best bet is to drop people a PM if you think they have a record-breaking egg from you, pointing them at this thread and asking them to include credit? I think that's pretty much all you can do in that respect.

Voila! I have added the breeding credit to the two ridgewing records! So in actuality I haven't put it in the lineage slot, I've added a new bit on the end of the current 'by' section. I'll probably add some comments in the new records post to indicate this possibility.

Edit to clarify my involvement, as I believe it is permissible to submit dragons from lineages you are involved in, even if they are not your own.

In case it makes it easier to count:

-Reds start at page 1 if set to 500

-There are 13 total dividers , first one is right in front of the first red

-2 zombies float around the cb red section, so please try to just use the number names for that group to add to the total.
