I can't be the only science nerd here, so let's talk about it! Anything that's science, we can talk about.

Partly, I just wanted to post this video: http://www.tenthdimension.com/medialinks.php This is AMAZING to me. It's a real eye opener biggrin.gif

FOR SCIENCE!

I want to watch the video, but I'm in public and don't have head-phones...so it will have to wait.

I'm a big science nerd, especially biology. I like to make sure I always have a New Scientist magazine on me, and love disocvery and NatGeo channels.

I'm a science nerd - I'll probably become an engineer.

It sucks - I aced my bio exam but didn't pass my graduation test. This is gonna be embarrassing - 10 hours of remediation + retaking the test.

I'm a mostly A/occasional B Uni student but I utterly suck at laboratory work and may as well end my Bachelor studies with a bad mark for my thesis ;__;

This topic should be available as a resource by the way, so if you find any interesting studies/videos or any reference pages, feel free to post them! And please leave out wikipedia - anyone can search wikipedia.

Lol good old wikipedia at uni they actually tell us if we use it as a reference you'll lose marks xd.png (though usually by 2nd year people realize that websites in general just don't cut it).

I enjoy science I'm actually currently doing a BSc at the moment majoring in Climate / Meteorology. I've always found physic's to be really hard for me though it just doesn't seem to blend to well with me I get so jealous of my physic's lab partner because she's so smart and is always helping me out.

I think as well as discussing video / websites people could also recommend good science books as well.

Science freak. Especially if it comes to bilogy, but the other areas are nice, too... it's only that with them I'm more interested in the fancy parts.

Can't find a link right now, but today I read in the newspaper that the moon IS as old as the earth, supporting the therory that it actually is just a lump of the earth's mantle.

I'm a chem/physics nerd. I just can't get into bio. Too squicky for me.

As computers can technically fit into the same topic as science, I figured out how to control my linux laptop's terminal remotely on both my iTouch and my parents' Windows comp. Also, I can control my iTouch on both comps.

EDIT: Also, who likes the new topic description? xd.png

All I have is a huge Molecular Biology Central Dogma poster with jellyfish GFP as the example.

For the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead biggrin.gif

... yeah, the only 'sciencey' mug I have is an Aperture Science mug...

I've always had a mild interest in science, but never really started research or... anything xd.png Although I've had to look up various aspects of biology for writing, and have yet to find a way to make a humanoid fly.

... -hides in the corner feeling not smart Dx-

Science > what religion teaches us. Yupp, hardcore aetheist here. Has anyone seen any of Richard Dawkins' documentaries btw? Everyone who's interested in science and all that kind of stuff should take a look at those.

Haven't seen the documentaries but did love The God Delusion and The Greatest Show on Earth. Am finally going to start reading The Selfish Gene next week.

See I find Dawkins overbearing and fanatical. Really he's a close to a Fred Phelps as the Atheist community has got. Hence I won't have anything to do with him. If you want to get a point across I'm pretty sure there are ways of doing it that don't imply that everyone who disagrees with you is a moron.
