Posted August 31, 2016 Luminas and now also Dark Luminas - judging from reports in their News thread - are really stat-hungry when it comes to hatching and growing ... Share this post Link to post
Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Just got a Dark Lumina from the Forest 12:22PM BZ2Wt and I have seen Light ones dropping as well. ETA: Grabbed a DL from the Alpine at 1:15PM zEtV8 Edited August 31, 2016 by oddsoxdi Share this post Link to post
Posted August 31, 2016 Just caught two almost in a row, and this is after barely seeing them all day while hunting times! (I think I saw one total in the time it took to grab three Aeons). Time was roughly 3:19 AM cave time and one was Coast other Desert. Seems like some type of night or moon shift is definitely a factor, methinks! Perhaps someone better at this than myself can create a graph showing how many were caught at various hours / moon phases, and a line graph that combines both statistics? With something like that we wouldn't need normal lumina data to see a trend, presumably. A chart is a good idea! Once i figure out how to do it on Google... And to get the calculations to work on a separate sheet. Share this post Link to post

Luminas - and their dark counterparts - are more stubborn than most other eggs. If you incubated that egg, I'm not surprised that it didn't have a hole at that point. My luminatis caught in the original release were incubated and needed around 3500v and 550uv before they hatched. With 400uv, I'd say you probably need close to 4500uv. ^^ Edited August 31, 2016 by SockPuppet Strangler Share this post Link to post
Posted August 31, 2016 The Dark Luminas are definitely falling more frequently. I have seen them at most of the 5 minute drops in one biome or another and have actually caught 2 of them today and one yesterday after seeing none at all since shortly after their release. I don't know about breeding. I don't like to breed directly to the AP in case of Z codes, and now I am egg locked. I do think that all the breedings I have tried since their release have resulted in the dark ones. Share this post Link to post

Posted August 31, 2016 Well they dropped pretty well yesterday and today and I think they'll drop well tomorrow but I suspect that after that they'll become scarce again do to the moon cycle Share this post Link to post
Posted August 31, 2016 With much screwing around with the sheet, I have finally made my first chart! It's for the Moon phases and the Lumina eggs. You can look over in the "Relative to the Moon Phases sheet. It will probably take awhile before I make one for time though.... Why is it so difficult to make charts on this thing?? Posted August 31, 2016 I'm not completely convinced yet it's the moon phases, but I grabbed a Dark Lumina from the cave anyway just to be safe. Btw., welcome to the thread, Corteo! Share this post Link to post
Posted August 31, 2016 what if the code is all lower case? and even if not, the new code might exist and be of someone else's egg O: Sigh. You're right. So that's not a viable solution, then. Breaking news: I saw Dark Luminas at all 5 minute drops within the last hour and a half, they are definitely dropping more frequently. Could all be coincidence, of course. Good to see you, Corteo. Posted August 31, 2016 Thanks for that tidbit of information, Corteo. I'm not planning on eating them, though. I am planning on catching them while they are around. I'll worry about how to breed the color I want later. Share this post Link to post

Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Hey Corteo! Welcome to the thread where we spin our wheels trying to figure out how Lumina breeding works, and I bang my computer trying to get Google spreadsheets to do things. What do you think of our progress? Are we thinking too hard? *presses 1+#* Speaking of breeding plans, thanks to the appearance of Dark Luminas, I finally have a mate for this guy. All my Luminas have mates already, and I'm at my self-imposed limit for adults. Edit: Let me press the right buttons. Edited August 31, 2016 by Shokomon Share this post Link to post
