New Stun BSA

Recommended Posts

Honestly I love the sprite after stun and hope it never goes away IMO of Birdz Spriting ability the dragon seemed postioned oddly as if something were missing or out of place. The bolts around it make such more sense to me balance wise (no offense to standard sprite). But I still felt the balance or chi or whatever was wrong. Now I know why and I don't believe it's an asymmetrical style choice.

If this wasn't intended, I can keep stunning, however, I'd also be down with an Aegis like BSA option

To anyone who is still unsure about stun and teleport

- Stun will not wear off after the hatchling is teleported to another scroll, proof just got below through a teleport:

- You will not be able to stun the hatchling again, irrespective of which scroll it was on when it was first stunned, once done is done. See below the same hatchling I got:

This is also how I read it.

EDIT: Poked TJ about it since I'm not sure what the intended behavior is supposed to be.

TJ has taken care of it. From an example in TLQ, it looks like the sparky sprite does wear off, although we'll need you guys using the action to tell us how long it lasts now. o3o

EDIT:

It was supposed to expire when the action went off cooldown, and it'll start doing that soon-ish if it's not actually fixed in production already.

I love this BSA, it's very useful for tradable hatchlings, I stun them right after they hatch and give the other person more time to take them smile.gif

I thought dragons get sick from too many views/clicks so with stun you secure them from it kind of ☺

Hey, people who are stunning!

Does stun wear off after teleport or no? It appears we need more recent confirmation.

I am sorry I don't have screenshot now but I got this chrono in trade couple of days ago https://dragcave.net/lineage/spqDT and it was already stunned. I remember very well it wasn't available for stunning because I was stunning my other hatchies for trade and this one couldn't be done. I have also never had a stun wear off after teleport and I use stun pretty regularly, so I can only assume stun wearing off after teleport could be a bug.

Is there anybody else who can confirm how teleport interacts with stun? The wiki says stun wears off after teleport; if that's wrong, it probably needs fixed. =p

I saw a Stun experiment with one hatchling a bit ago and here's what happened, as far as I can recall:

-The extra time remained after transferring.

-The view count was going up after transferring.

-The hatchling could not be Stunned again.

Can't hurt to double check, though.

Well, Cellybean and I just tried it. She transported two hatchlings to me and I stunned them. When I sent them back to her they both kept the extra day that the stun gave them. I have no idea about gaining or not gaining views.

So it apparently was never "fixed" if this is unintended. It may yet be in the future, but this is how it stands right now. The information on the Wiki appears to be wrong for the way things are at the present moment.

I don't see why the day would be removed, if that's what you mean. If someone ever tried to transfer a Stunned hatchling with less than a day left it would die as soon as it hit the other user's scroll.

As for not being able to Stun again, it prevents people from keeping hatchlings as hatchlings forever, not unlike how people would juggle eggs through the AP to add time back to them.

Thanks so much for testing!

I'm a bit late to the party since I haven't been on the site much since last spring. I only got to really test out stun recently, and I'm disappointed to find that it only works on hatchlings. I feel like it would be more useful on eggs.

If someone tries to viewbomb your egg while it's lowtime and on teleport, and it ends up hatching, then 1) the person you were trading it to can no longer influence the egg's gender to their preference, and 2) you have to set up the teleport all over again.

To me at least, these are pretty major inconveniences (and have happened to me a couple of times). It would have been very nice if the view blocker had been extended to eggs.

(Sorry if there's been a lore explanation for why it doesn't work on eggs that I missed; like I said, I haven't been on much for a while.)
