Username: zakku_uchiha

Name: Aiden McCoy

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Romantic Orientation: Heteroromantic

Appearance: At 5'6" and weighing just around 150lbs, Aiden is rather average appearing young teenager. Dark brown hair, cut short yet still a mess, adorns the top of his head while prepubescent stubble has started growing on his face. Round, hazel eyes and naturally furrowed eyebrows make him look like he's always angry and a scar running from the corner of his left eye to the center of his cheek accentuates that image.

Aiden has fair, lightly tanned skin and a moderately toned body from his time on the track team in middle school. Outside of his school uniform, Aiden enjoys wearing slacks and loose clothing, usually in the form of a t-shirt that's two size larger than it needs to be and a pair of drawstring sweatpants. While in his school uniform, Aiden dons a dark red scarf around his neck, but will sometimes tie it around his left arm for "personal reasons."

Personality: Aiden is a fairly approachable, but he doesn't go out of his way to make conversation. For the most part, he's lax and easy to get along with, the kind of guy who would spot you the shirt off his back for nothing in return. Yet, some can tell he's hiding something, but don't feel the need to ask.

History: As a young child, Aiden often went out hunting with his father, usually as an assistant spotter or if they were hunting small game. In school, he made average grades, where nothing was below a D, but he didn't bolster anything higher than a mid-B. Being the middle child, with an elder sister in her first semester of college and a younger brother who was just starting the third grade, Aiden didn't feel the need to excel, but he wasn't going to fail either. Being on the track team was an exception, in his mind, as he put forth a lot of time and effort, which reflected when he often met the school record if not making a new one.

Aiden's mother serves as a waitress at a local diner, while his father collects a pension from the government after serving until retirement in the military. So, when Aiden is free, his father often takes him out to shoot or to teach him basic survival techniques. Yet, around the time he was tenn years of age, an incident occurred that led to a long fight between his parents and left him with the scar he has on his left cheek. Since then, Aiden noticed a tension between his parents every time they were near each other and his father had picked up in his drinking habits.

Despite this, nothing seemed to really escalate between them for the next five years, but things began to swell again when he showed interest in joining Heaven's Gate Academy. Since the incident, Aiden had been essentially banned from attending hunting trips, only being allowed to go in their backyard or to one of the local firing ranges. So, when he had brought up his interest in joining an academy who's purpose was to fight against the demons, his mother became rather livid and began pushing the blame onto his father. It took some time, but Aiden eventually convinced her that it was his own interest and not something his father was pushing onto him, but he did admit that he missed the thrill of their hunting trips and this was possibly just an excuse. Regardless, they eventually signed the waiver and watched him board the ship that was led him to where he is now.

Element: Fire

Branch Color: A gem that looks like frozen magma, with the hues of orange and red, encompassed by a black pin that he wears in his ear. (Yes, Aiden essentially wears his branch as an earring.)

Weapon: Crimson Reaper - A weapon that looks like a cross between a standard sniper and a railgun with a solid red stripe running through the center to the cartridge ejection port on the right side and the charging handle on the left (yes, I'm aware most weapons have both on the same side). Depending on the element of his partner is the determining factor on what form of plasma is within the cartridges that the weapon uses and their effects on the target.

Armor: Specter - Appearance-wise, the armor takes on the image of modern day combat modules used in the military, but in black rather than the camouflage pattern typically used. Yet, it is capable of blending the user in with any type of environment, rendering them practically invisible to the enemy. Within the helmet lies a HUD that relays to the user his current position and acts provides wind speed, distance, and other necessary factors that could effect the trajectory of any shots fired.

Other: Unknown to Aiden, his father served under Erika's father's command and they visited often when he was really young. Aiden and his father both have used firearms developed by Erika while she was in school working towards her Master's degree.

also i. shamelessly gave my characters couple costumes.

Username: Chrysophylox

Name: Harcourt Li-Summerfield

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Romantic Orientation: Heteroflexible/Bi-curious?

Appearance: Harcourt inherited his blue eyes from his mother, along with her 186 cm (around 6'1) height. His skin is lighter than his mother's, but still dark enough to make people think he's Filipino. He doesn't look "Chinese", exactly, and at this point he's tired of correcting people. He crops his hair short, both out of convenience and a lack of fashion sense.

Personality: Harcourt is a sweet, dashing young man, gentle as they come and just like a large teddy bear. He has an inordinately high amount of patience, able to tolerate all things except for personal attacks toward his friends or family. He doesn't care if he himself gets attacked. He's generally very relaxed, but deep down he loves to gossip. He loves making friends, or at least getting on people’s good sides. He has an angry face and glare rivaled only by those of Qiyan, and even then there's usually not much heart in them. He glares to scare people off, but if he's genuinely angry, then you're dead to him. He won't even breathe in your direction, and you'll be left quaking at his aura of fury.

History: Born to a Chinese father and a biracial Irish mother, Harcourt had quite the upbringing. His mother's parents insisted on raising him like a proper Roman Catholic child, while his father's parents would take him on trips to Buddhist temples whenever they went to China. His own parents let Harcourt believe what he wanted, and he grew up an agnostic, not wanting to commit to a religion, but still believing in a higher power.

Element: Water

Branch Color: Midnight blue (#00009c)

Weapon: Lei Gong Mo (Thunder God's Ink) - This shield, carved from asteroid rock in the shape of a banana leaf fan, is surprisingly light for its size -- or at least Harcourt seems to think so. He holds and steadies the shield with his left hand, bracing it with his right. He uses his shield mostly for knocking opponents over, though he is not opposed to using it like a bludgeon and hitting opponents with the edge. When he's not using it, Harcourt can balance the shield off his left shoulder and forearm, using the grip to steady it.

Armor: Tie Shan Gong Zhu (Iron Fan Princess) -

Name: Qiyan "Chi" Duan

Age: 17

Gender: Nonbinary (prefers they/them, but uses he/him with people they're not familiar with)

Romantic Orientation: Demi-¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (they like guys)

Appearance: Chi stands at 176 cm, about 5 feet 9 inches. Their eyes are dark brown, and they have a fading tan. They have bleached blond shoulder-length hair, the roots of which are starting to show. They didn't bother dying their eyebrows, which are always slightly furrowed, giving them a perpetual Resting B censorkip.gif Face™. They often put their hair into a high ponytail, with several bobby pins to hold their fringe back. Chi would really like to use more colorful hairclips and pins, but they also think it would disrupt their general aesthetic of "look, don't touch".

Chi has a lithe physique from dancing their entire life, as well as deft, quick fingers from making costumes and sewing small trinkets.

Personality:

Element: Air

Branch Color: Silvery grey (#d3d3d3). They wear their branch on the outwards-facing side of a notched thumb ring.

GM note: Armor/weapon names are purely flavor text and optional. Didn't include them for Aria because she doesn't name her gear, though gave names to both because he names everything.

@Zak: Aiden aids the first years by giving them some much needed firepower. Accepted!

@Chrys: I'm always really excited when people sign up as chinese characters/source things from chinese mythology. Looks good from my first read, but I'll take another look when I get time to give you proper feedback. (I should probably go on chat more often...)

3 hrs and the entire sims 2 ost later, and we have an HB update!

We'll be wrapping up with this Robinson lesson soon, so finish up whatever. If you wanted to make it rain literally/figuratively, please do so within the next one or two weeks.

I guess after this we'll skip right over Lunch to the next day, since Lunch was a flop last time.

EDIT::: It has occurred to me that the mess with Will is much more complex than initially anticipated. I'll sort this out over Skype and edit the first Robinson portion accordingly within the next 24 hours. Resolved!

Hooray! 7 pages! We're almost done the tutorial, though I guess you could also count the first demon fight as a tutorial battle as well, in which case there's still a bit of tutorial to go.

Since we decided it would be much easier on a lot of people by doing it this way, I am here to post a summary of events that occur between Elliot, Thel, and Cas during the course of the lesson.

Thel, upon being approached by Elliot and his weird greeting, grabs the boy's shaking hands. They Link together but, instead of testing out any elements, Thel decides to mess with the money-oriented boy and snatches the wallet. When he starts running, Elliot gives chase. The former accidentally bulldozes into Cas, knocking the Second Year down. As apology, Thel blows several kisses in Cas's direction. As Cas is just getting back to his feet, Elliot collides with him but keeps up the chase. For his apology, Elliot threw down cash at Cas.

Elliot chases Thel down to the edge of the courtyard, only to be abruptly stopped as Thel grabs his arm. Thel, while laughing, apologizes and hands back the boy's wallet - complete with cash and cards. Thel explains he was just messing with the rich boy and suggests that they actually give the combined element power a shot. Which they do. But they're both water so there's nothing really special to try.

Meanwhile, Cas plays 'oh pity me' and suckers Rose into taking him back to his room and tending to his every need.

Planning to move ahead to Free Time Events this Friday-Sat-Sun since we're just about done Robinson lesson 2.

What are Free Time Events, you ask? It's a new thing I'm trying. I've already mentioned it to most of you, but it's the IC weekend where your characters can do whatever, out of chronological order. Go meet some fellow PCs! Prank NPCs! Drive Robinson into the ground! Follow your dreams.

While this is happening, I'll be dropping prompts at some of you -- both IC and over PM/Chat -- to set up the upcoming demon hunt. Your homework is to let me know through chat/skype/PM what your characters are doing during FTE time.

Edit: Feel free to suggest new locations I can add. There aren't any malls on this island, though, or any civilization at all, really.

Username: hjy213

Name: Hyun-ji Eum [음현지/陰顯智]

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Romantic Orientation: Demisexual

Appearance: Hyun-ji has light-brown eyes that she inherited from her mother and straight, long black hair that reaches just past her shoulders and is parted to the right. Her hair is usually put down to obscure her face when working, so others don’t bother her, but while exercising or training she will always put her hair up in a ponytail. Her eyes are admittedly small, though if insulted for them she will give a vicious glare. Most of the time, her expression is neutral, which gives the impression that she is a shy person when she doesn’t speak, but as she tells her brother, she “lets her eyes do the talking”, meaning she’d rather communicate through her eyes than speak if it can still get her point across.

Hyun-ji is fairly tall, at 5’8”, seemingly svelte in appearance when wearing clothes that cover up her whole body, but actually has a toned body structure from practicing kendo. She is also fairly tanned, as she prefers training outside, unlike her brother.

Personality: Though Hyun-ji appears to be a stereotypical Korean girl, being studious and one to practice martial arts along with the appearance of being a quiet, obedient, and well-mannered girl, Hyun-ji is actually a pessimistic, cold, and manipulative girl. It’s only with her brother that she becomes more social, and even then Hyun-ji refuses to reveal much about her inner thoughts. She hates and distrusts others, almost to the point of being misanthropic, and usually only interacts with people other than her brother for some ulterior motive. Despite this cold behavior, Hyun-ji is quite fond of animals, and even prefers insects to other people.

History: As the daughter of high-ranking Korean diplomat parents, Hyun-ji has always traveled since she was little. Though she would occasionally return to her home country, most of her life was spent in foreign countries, where she would often be ostracized, along with her twin brother, due to their appearance as Asians. Though she initially tried to fight against her bullies, as time went on Hyun-ji eventually learned to just ignore them, spending time only with her brother. This spurred on rumors of an incestuous relationship wherever they went, and rather than just ignore them, Hyun-ji decided she might as well have fun with it and led onlookers on to believe it to be true, just so she and her brother could be left alone and watched from afar, rather than actively bullied.

Unlike most, Hyun-ji herself didn’t want to attend Heaven’s Gate Academy, since she wasn’t used to staying in any area long, and had no desire to help anyone. Because her brother seemed oddly attracted to the school after a talk with their mother, Hyun-ji begrudgingly agreed to take the exam as well, as she didn’t want to be apart from Tae-hyun.

Element: Water

Branch Color: Indigo. Hyun-ji wears it as a necklace.

Weapon: Hyun-ji uses a katana without any special designs because of Hyun-ji’s personal distaste for anything overly elaborate.

Armor: For armor, Hyun-ji wears kendo armor with a navy blue kendogi and hakama, her last name on the front name plate as 陰. Under the kendogi, she wears a navy blue t-shirt. During battle, Hyun-ji often makes a call as to whether she should keep the armor and helmet on, or off, depending on the force or speed of her opponent.

Other: Ironically, Hyun-ji has a fear of oceans.

Username: hjy213

Name: Tae-hyun Eum [음태현/陰泰顯]

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Romantic Orientation: Asexual

Appearance: Tae-hyun has black eyes and short black hair that he styles in this way. Having inherited his father’s awful eyesight, Taehyun wears prescription glasses, and because he breaks them often, he usually carries many pairs, though they’re all different styles because he wants to try having a different look every time. Most of the time, however, he wears glasses with large circular frames, claiming he’s a “handsome, Asian Harry Potter”. Unlike his sister, his neutral expression is a playful smile.

Tae-hyun is 5’11" and has a toned muscular structure as a taekwondo practitioner. Because Tae-hyun dislikes going outside with its fluctuating temperatures, he is fairly pale, and takes Vitamin D supplements to make up for his lack of sun exposure.

Personality: Tae-hyun is a very cheerful, charismatic, and well-mannered person, though also manipulative. Often times, he takes advantage of others by acting like a very playful person, letting their guard down while he makes them do what he wishes. Initially a very shy person, Tae-hyun developed this personality so he could stop caring so much about how others viewed him and Hyun-ji. Though Tae-hyun isn’t quite as dark as Hyun-ji, both share the sentiment that it’s not quite worth their time to make friends.

History: As the son of high-ranking Korean diplomat parents, Tae-hyun has always traveled since he was little. Though he would occasionally return to his home country, most of his life was spent in foreign countries, where she would often be ostracized, along with her twin brother, due to their appearance as Asians. Unlike Hyun-ji, however, Tae-hyun never quite fought the bullies, and accepted it from the start. Being very shy and hating to confront others, Tae-hyun figured he would learn taekwondo to fight the bullies. By the time he thought he was proficient enough to confront anyone who dared to bother him and Hyun-ji, he found that Hyun-ji had already given up. It was also at this time that rumors of an incestuous relationship began to follow them. Though Tae-hyun was ready to fight anyone about this, he eventually followed Hyun-ji lead and let others believe in the rumors so they would be left alone wherever they went.

Much like Hyun-ji, Tae-hyun had no interest in going to Heaven’s Gate Academy, but after a conversation with his mother about how the demonic threat could lead to even more chaos in the household regarding moving from place to place, Tae-hyun felt that he had to go to Heaven’s Gate Academy with Hyun-ji, and took the exam, knowing Hyun-ji would join him.

Element: Wind

Branch Color: White marble. Tae-hyun wears it as a ring on his right middle finger.

Weapon: Tae-hyun wields a Desert Eagle, as he believes his sister is better suited for close combat, and because he is not a fan of bows. However, he still trains in close combat, just so he can be more well-rounded.

Armor: Tae-hyun wears a navy blue, tight-fit, athletic t-shirt with a bulletproof vest over, and the pants of a taekwondo gi. Over this, he wears a long black coat that has extra magazines for his gun. Though it's an odd combination, Tae-hyun finds it convenient.

That is correct. Will and Frey have only met and spoken with Matthew, but they may have seen some other people around. However, nobody has as much of a reputation for antics as Will...

@hjy: Manipulative brother-sister combo. I like where this is going. Two things before I link your sheets up: the first is that Hyun-ji's branch needs to be visible for identification purposes; second (and I don't know when I decided this) you're limited to only one weapon. Fix-er up and you're good to go for weekend antics!

Username: Chrysophylox

Name: Harcourt Xunhuan Li-Summerfield 李寻欢

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Romantic Orientation: Heteroflexible/Bi-curious?

Appearance: Harcourt inherited his blue eyes from his mother, along with her 186 cm (around 6'1) height. His skin is lighter than his mother's, but still dark enough to make people think he's Filipino or Latino. He doesn't look "Chinese", exactly, and at this point he's tired of correcting people. He keeps his hair short, both out of convenience and a lack of a sense of fashion, but recently he’s been growing it out and combing it to the side. He works out a lot, which has given him a jacked body with thick arms and legs, broad shoulders, a slim waist, among other things. He doesn't really know how to match clothes, so he sticks with hoodies and sweatpants.

Personality: Harcourt is a sweet, dashing young man, gentle as they come and just like a large teddy bear. He has an inordinately high amount of patience, able to tolerate almost anything. He's used to being a big brother, since he has two younger sisters, and he'll often find himself saying he's "proud of someone" or ruffling their hair, before catching himself and then tripping over himself trying to apologize. He's actually quite sensitive to others' feelings, and he really tries to make everyone happy. He feels pretty uncomfortable talking about people behind their backs, too, believing that if you have anything to say to them, then it should be said to their face. He has an angry face and glare rivaled only by those of Chi, and even then there's usually not much heart in them. He glares to scare people off, though his hulking appearance usually does the job before then, but if he's genuinely angry, then you're dead to him. He won't even breathe in your direction. Apathy hurts more than hatred, after all.

History: Born to a Chinese father and a biracial Irish mother, Harcourt had quite the upbringing. His mother's parents insisted on raising him like a proper Roman Catholic child, while his father's parents would take him on trips to Buddhist temples whenever they went to China. His own parents let Harcourt believe what he wanted, and he grew up an agnostic, not wanting to commit to a religion but still believing in a higher power. He went to America for middle school, and his accent, coupled with his appearance, immediately made him some sort of an enigma among the students. They were fascinated by him, always wanting to hear his accent, and he soon was "initiated" into the popular students. He also met Chi in middle school, and he spent the next few years being mildly perplexed by his strong affection for them. Seeing Harcourt, the newest cool kid on the block, hang out with Chi, the social outcast, did not lift the ostracization on Chi. Instead, the students extended their range of attack to Harcourt, pushing him away as quickly as they had welcomed him in. Harcourt, fortunately, didn't seem to care. The others couldn't get to him, so they begrudgingly accepted his friendship with Chi. Harcourt steadfastly remained at Chi's side, supporting them when they were going through a particularly rough patch and even helping them with their dance Instagram, when Chi eventually opened up enough. When the demons attacked, Harcourt was raring to go. Even though he was still a scrawny middle schooler, he already knew he wanted to fight, if only to make sure his three sisters would be safe. At the time, he played a lot of sports and liked running, so it wasn't very hard for him to build up his strength and endurance.

Element: Water

Branch Color: Midnight blue (#00009c). He wears it as an arrowhead-shaped earring. It's the only cool thing about him.

Weapon: Lei Gong Mo (Thunder God's Ink) - Ironically enough, Harcourt uses a large fan as his weapon. Carved from asteroid rock in the shape of a banana leaf fan, with a lotus blossom-like embellishment at the base and a dull spike at the top of the fan. It is surprisingly light for its size--or at least Harcourt seems to think so. The edges and veins of the fan are gilded with gold, as are the pommel of the handle, the lotus base, and the tip of the fan. The fan is tall enough to reach his shoulders when stood on the tip of its handle. Harcourt calls it a shield since the handle is barely long enough to fit his two fists, but it does handle more like a fan. Harcourt uses it mostly as a conductor of sorts to control water, though he is not opposed to using it like a very dull sword and hitting opponents with the edge. When he's not using it, Harcourt can balance the shield off his left shoulder, using the grip to steady it.

Armor: Tie Shan Gong Zhu (Iron Fan Princess) - Harcourt's robe is made of a royal blue silk. Gold filigree covers the silk, but the edges of the sleeves and the collar are left pure white. The robe is cropped just short enough to cover his ribcage, leaving his abs exposed. The robe has a Mandarin collar and a row of white Chinese knot buttons that runs from the center of the collar and under the right sleeve. For pants, he has a pair of baggy, pleated capri joggers of the same shade of blue as his top. There is a wide loop of translucent, blue-black silk running from the waist and looping around the ankles on either side. The silk is light as a feather, perpetually floating in the air. Another silk loop curls around his arms and shoulders, arching above his head and coming back down to twine with his wrists. There is a piece of dark green, plaid tweed that drapes off his left hip and hangs there looking like an oversized handkerchief, reaching to his knees. His shoes are made of navy blue canvas and have thin, flat soles. Harcourt gains ancient Chinese style eye makeup and a blue hua dian between his eyebrows.

Other: Second year!! He has a Northern Dublin accent--he replaces "th" with "d" and drops all t's at the ends of words. Sometimes he elongates and hisses s's. And, of course, "h" is read as "haitch".

Name: Qiyan "Chi" Duan 段绮烟

Age: 17

Gender: Nonbinary (prefers they/them, but uses he/him with people they're not familiar with)

Romantic Orientation: Demisexual (they like guys/masculinity/people who identify as male)

They like skinny jeans and sweaters, in pastel and galaxy patterns, paired with collared shirts. Sometimes they like to dress up in styles like pastel goth, mori, and draping, among other street styles.

Chi has a lithe physique from dancing their entire life, but despite that, they still have a slight slouch. They have quick, deft fingers from sewing performance costumes and making other small trinkets.

Personality: The first thing anyone notices about them is how irritated they always look and sound. They don't try to do it on purpose, but they just have a habit of brushing people off and not letting them get close. They could qualify for a tsundere, since they almost always treat people in a very distant -- almost cold -- manner, only warming up after a long period of close contact. They prefer to mask their emotions with a blank poker face, and only those who are truly close to them can see anything outside the range of slight irritation and mild amusement they usually show to "strangers" -- anyone they haven't known for upwards of a year. They care about their younger brother deeply, though they show that through gentle jostling and niggling. They are very sarcastic, though, enough to seem cynical or even caustic. Chi is usually very unmotivated, saving up their energy till the absolute most crucial moment, though deep down inside, they love playing the hero, swooping in to save the day when everyone else is already exhausted and beaten down. They are carefree and unhindered, answering even the most serious of questions with an airy "mhm" and perhaps a soft curve of the lips. They don't like smiling at strangers or people they're less acquainted with.

History: Growing up, Chi never really had any problems. Except, of course, for the usual issues of people not knowing how to pronounce their name and the ones who "didn't believe in nonbinaryism." But Chi knew since they were in at least 5th grade that they were…different, as others would put it. They didn't conform. They started blending "girly" and "boyish" clothes, wearing a skirt and striped leggings one day, ripped jeans and hoodies the next. They didn't care much for their bullies and mockers, but the abuse did have a lasting effect -- Chi would never be able to open up as easily, and publicly coming out was out of the question. Those who knew, knew. Those who didn't...well, those people would probably figure it out eventually anyway. They were extremely passionate about dancing even in elementary school, and soon it became a form of escape. They set up an Instagram under the name Anaia, posting videos of their choreography to pop songs. They made sure to always wear a mask of some sort so kids at their school wouldn’t recognize them. They gained a large following over time, and, ironically enough, a lot of their bullies were part of their followers. Their followers helped them regain some semblance of confidence, and although they never stood up for themselves, they learned to keep their head high. When a boy by the name of Harcourt Xunhuan Li-Summerfield transferred to Chi's middle school in 8th grade, he was a breath of fresh air compared to their classmates who avoided them and were warned not to hang out with them. Perhaps having a gender non-conforming sister of his own helped matters, but Harcourt was one of few people who didn't take Chi for "the nonbinary special snowflake." Of course, Chi's fragile heart immediately attached itself to Harcourt. The next few years were a blissful hell, with Chi giving Harcourt relationship advice with girls, but also watching as Harcourt built a relationship and then was knocked down. When they heard that Harcourt would be going to Heavenly Branches Academy after middle school graduation, Chi was ecstatic. They'd been planning on doing the same, thinking that if people were going to notice them, it might as well be for something that wasn't their gender orientation. Sometime in their freshman year of high school they started smoking, curbing their habit by using a vape pen.

Element: Wind

Branch Color: Silvery grey (#d3d3d3). They wear their Branch on the outwards-facing side of a notched thumb ring.

Weapon: Bi Shui Jin Jing Shou (Water Repelling Golden Eye Beast) - Though it's not much of a beast, Chi's bow comprises of parts from a large, bright red, qilin-like beast that has golden eyes, the snout and mouth of a dragon, the head of a lion, and the horns of a deer. The animal is so perfectly preserved it could almost still be alive. Its large head, easily 45 cm (1'5") from top to bottom, is mounted on the front of the 65" bow, perpendicular to the limbs, and arrows shoot from its open mouth, between two rows of sharp fangs. The prongs on the deer horns form makeshift crosshairs, though Chi usually relies on their element to redirect the arrow if it's really off mark. The bow's thick limbs, somehow firmly lodged into the top and bottom of the skull, seem to be made of four of the beast's ribs, two on each side. They are bound together with what appears to be the beast's sinews, and they are wrapped in red fish-like scales that repel water like a duck's feathers.

This is the closest thing I could find that fit the description.

Armor: Niu Mo Wang (Bull Demon King) - Chi's hair lengthens to reach their hip. It is tied in a high ponytail with a red silk ribbon, the ends of which reach to Chi's shoulders. Even strands of hair frame their face on either side. Their actual armor resembles an ankle-length, black Tibetan robe, with only one knee-length sleeve. The robe is made of thick furs and cotton. It is lined with unbelievably soft, tan oxhair that is cool to the touch and smooth as satin. Down both sides of the robe is a gold embroidered image of the taotie. The upper corner is cut off by the lack of shoulder on the robe. The robe is held together by layers of red scarf. Underneath the robe, Chi wears a red shirt with a Mandarin collar and a row of gold Chinese knot buttons that run from their collar to their right armpit, following the edge of the robe. The exposed sleeve of the shirt is embroidered with a gold dragon that snakes down to the wrist. A metal wrist guard protects Chi's exposed arm, with spikes on the back of the forearm. Their pants are black, baggy, and tuck into their boots. Their boots are knee-high, lined with the same oxhair as their robe, and wrapped with strips of soft leather. A string of Buddhist beads loop around their neck. They have a pair of black gloves, with their ring fitting over their glove. Finally, Chi gains a mask, one of the more popular ones among their fans. Their mask is that of a Peking Opera character, and it only extends to where the swirly parts are, though the right eye is covered as well. This leaves Chi's mouth exposed. When they don't want to use the mask, they can slide it to the top of their head or to the side.

Username: Padfoot

Name: Sanford "Flyn" Niall

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Romantic Orientation: Pansexual

Appearance: Flyn did not get his fathers height or his mothers beautiful hair. He stands at a little over five feet tall and weighs 96 pounds (although he will claim to weight more). He was bullied in his childhood for his small stature and pastey appearence so e has grown accustom to wearing larger jackets and baggy cloths in a (failed) attempt to look bigger than he really is. He was born with his father's intense German features. His eyes are so dark brown they are almost black and he has the hair to match. He has been told to "Smile" and "cheer up" his entire life thanks to the perminant intensity he wears on his face. His skin matches his mother's, pale and spattered with freckles. He got her adversion the the sun as well. He typically wears his uniform neat as he can. that being said he is not perfect and still layers jackets and undershirts to make himself look bigger.

Personality: Flyn is a shy individual, never the first to initiate conversation and people at his old school went the entire time without ever hearing him say a word. That being said, once he is comfortable with you it is difficult to shut him up. He would much rather listen to someone talk about themselves than give away things about himself. No matter how close he gets to someone he is reserved about facts about himself, Flyn is always afraid that anything he says might be used against him in one way or another. He hates to inflict pain on others, physical or emotional, so to him conversations are a mine field of saying the wrong thing. One would think a school life of torment by his peers would transform Flyn into a ball of rage but just the opposite is true. After a misunderstanding with a group of kids in high school, he vowed to avoid violence at all costs, devoting himself to a life of passifism. Flyn doesn't consider himself intelligent, public school has that effect on kids, and the fact that he does not talk does not help his case in the eyes of his teaches and peers. Although Flyn is a nice guy, he has a inherent distrust for people. That probably comes from the fact that he himself is a pathalogical liar. Flyn wears his gem wrapped in beading wire loped around his neck with a simple leather cord.

History: Stanford Niall was born in Bathtown, Kentucky. His father was a hydroelectric dam engineer and his mother stayed at home with him. He is an only child so he was used to a certain level of attention from his parents. That all changed when his dad uprooted his family and moved them to Oklahoma City when he was only eight years old. Moving from his small town elementary school to a much larger one had an adverse effect on Stanford's character. He did not take the move well and retreats within himself when confrounted with the large group of kids in his class. He ramained that way until he turned sixteen. The stress of the move was too much for his parent's already unstable relationship and they divorced that November. His mother moved back east while he stayed in Oklahoma with his father to contunue his studies at his new high school. His father made it a point to sign him up in every club and team he could think of as a misguided attempt to "fix" his introvertive son. This did not "fix" Flyn, only fueled his pent up rage for his classmates. They would tease him for his size and meekness. When he finally snapped, he was seventeen. He overheard a group of kids in his robotics team making comments about how small and useless he was. He snapped and drove and five inch flathead screwdrived into the shoulder of one of the kids in the group. He was arrested and found out that thhey were not talking about him at all, rather the new shipment of two way servos the school had given them. After that, he vowed to never let his pent up rage hurt anyone again for any reason. The kid's family did not press charges and later that group became his first group of real friends. He continued his hobby of robotics and computers to channel his anger and frustration. Once the reports of monsters started cropping up on the news, it was Flyn's father who suggested he take the entrance exam and try to get into this "wizard school". Being used to his dad trying to scrap him off on extra curricular activities he agrees and passes with higher marks than he expected. he felt he was in too deep and agreed to enrolled, hoping that he would develop an intrest once he got to the island

Element: Fire

Branch Color: Brilliant orange (at least thats what people tell him, he his colorblind to most warm colors)

Weapon: a set of copper brass knuckles with stainless steel studs

Armor: Flyn decided to take inspiration from one of his favorite animes. He wears a fire retardant black and blue crash suit as his armor (durarara)
