In light of the new BSA for our beautiful Christmas dragons quite a few members have voiced their concerns about lineages being ruined by random sprite switches. So this is a place for all of us who want some planning security.

 

In theory trading and gifting among members/oath takers should be (almost) as secure as having the dragons on your own scroll.

 

If you want to join just post the following oath:

 

"I, [insert name here], swear that my Aegis' sprites won't change once they have had offspring."

 

If an oath taker enrages/pacifies an Aegis despite taking the oath, they will be grey-listed and given a two-week period (because pacify won't work before that) to remedy the situation. If the dragon won't be switched back the person will be black-listed.

Edit:

Addendums to the oath as "from now on" or "on another scroll" are perfectly alright as they are in the spirit of the original oath. I will still keep the official oath in its short and simple form

 

Many people have added their dragons with name, code, and status to their post. While I personally think that is a great idea (because it might help others find people to breed them an egg from a specific form) it is by no means a requirement to do so for taking the oath.

Lord Gymir will be pacified ASAP and stay that way.

 

I just like the icy blue sprite better.

 

I'll put the oath-taker banner into my signature as soon as both my Aegises are in their intended form.

- Dustsnow (fuutu), will stay pacified

 

I honestly have no inclination to ever enrage either of them. Since there's a tiny chance that some kind of in-game mechanic becomes available only if you have enraged Aegis, I want to note that I will go back on this oath in that circumstance - and in that circumstance only, and as temporarily as possible.

 

(Edit: Realised I hadn't put what mode I'm keeping my dragons in. Edited in now.)

I don't know yet which form I would like my two to have, but as soon as they get bred and the egg is owned by another person than me the form they will have will be their final one.

 

I don't know whether it's the case automatically, but I also want to note that for any Aegis offspring (well, in a year that will come in... ) this will also apply to every Aegis on my scroll.

I'm still playing around with their names a bit, but I have listed the codes and will edit here if they do change.

You have to manually enrage them (it's a BSA), so no worries.
