[OOC] X-DREAMERS: A Massive Multiplayer Crossover

Recommended Posts

I'm tempted to toss in another character but I've got no idea how to start off with my first one. Should I just start off a new group for the influx of new characters? Or try to join one of the already formed groups?

Well, considering Mage listed three different starting locations, I think you're just gonna have to insert Toothless into an already massed group.

Eh? I'm so sorry, I thought that for canon characters we didn't need to have a sheet?

(added a link to the wiki page, I forgot about needing a picture.)

Also, even though he's from a mature game (one which some people don't like to think about) I'm considering adding Isaac Clarke for either humor or macabre's sake, or both.

Let's just throw him out of left field and see what happens.

"This.. isn't the Ishimura..."

Thael, there's a character limit. Right in the rules. You can't have more than 3 characters.

Zor, your fine. You don't need an actual sheet except for OCs.

From what I interpreted in the OP, you only need a very basic sheet for canon characters as long as there's a wiki and/or image linked in it. Anything vague or original requires a much larger sheet. Otherwise though, you can pretty much go nuts with the sheets.

Your sheet looks fine to me Coryn! It'll need Mage's approval though. And yeah, I think you can only place a character in one of the three groups pudding, though you can start out on the edges of the area(I think Kami and Sora started a bit farther out from the already-established groups of characters, though of course Sora fell from the sky so who knows xd.png), so there's that if you don't want him waking up in the midst of things.

EDIT: Spelling is for people. "Tohugh" is totally a word. xd.png

No no. I understand your confusion. That was no one's fault but mine if anyone's.

Don't worry about it.

I just thought it'd be funny considering the ponies and happy-go-lucky chars we seem to be getting if a dementia-corrupted Isaac still experiencing the visions of Nicole from Dead Space 2 (maybe, I'm not sure of this one) suddenly showed up and just thought he was finally losing his mind.

"It has to be the Marker. This is ALL the Marker. Dammit. DAMMIT! I thought I destroyed it!"

Reserves and Roster has been updated. A reminder that for canon characters you need to fill in that short summary.

@Shadow: Judge has got too many abilities to start with. Could you limit them to 5 or less?

Wait... I could play Ryuki and Nekomi and Suzuki... or Isaac and Lu/Ciel. Both are three characters. Awwwwwww......

This will be a very difficult choice.

I'll edit this later based on what I choose if no one else posts.

Ah, pardon my skepticism but how on earth would you do that? I assume you're talking about your Life characters, yes? I never got to explain the combat system or all the rules for contracts. In canon, Ryuki, Nekomi, and Suzuki never got contracted in the first place. Would you just make up your own backstory for them? I'm just a little confused as to how that would work.

(by the way, you should come onto chat)

Alright, nevermind. Turns out I'm good. I thought I wouldn't have time for this one with some things, but I should be good. Posts just might not be as long. Not sure.

Sorry for the confusion.

Update postponed to possibly after December 8th, to account for my finals. I'm so sorry I can't GM while doing school ;_; We'll pick right back up after then, if everyone's still interested after a two-week hiatus!

Hi. I'll try this. Hopefully I'll be able to commit.

Lucas (Mother 3)

A young (12/13 year old?) psychic with a tragic past. Once a timid crybaby, he has matured into a determined, strong-willed boy. He wields a stick (or the occasional baseball bat) as a weapon, and has a number of psychic moves at his disposal. However, there is a limit to how much power he can exert at a time, before he has to recover his reserves.

PK Love: A psychokinetic blast attack.

Lifeup: A healing move. In RPG terms, this move heals HP.

Healing: A healing move. In RPG terms, this move cures status effects.

Shield: A psychic shield that can block attacks. It breaks after it takes enough damage.

As a psychic, he also has the ability to understand animals through telepathy.

Those are his abilities for now. Timeline wise, this is him right after the end of the game, though teleporting to a new universe messed around with his powers. He'll learn them back eventually.

Good luck with your exams, Mage! Mine are coming soon, too...

Aha I have no idea what I'm doing. First picture is what Fukami looks like currently (ignore the small girl in the middle) and the second picture is an example of what he looks like with the tentacles exposed.

Fukami (Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea) [x]

An octopus familiar who serves the great Sea Witch, Wadanohara. In the past, during the second war with the Dead Sea, he fought by his master's side and protected her from all those who dared to harm her. In recent years, he has spent most of his time reading, cooking, and tending to the witch's other familiars.

Strangle: Using his tentacles, Fukami constricts a target and squeezes them within his grip. While Fukami can concentrate on multiple targets at once, the strength of his grip weakens depending on how many targets he has to heed at a single time.

Slice Up: Using knives hidden away in his clothing, Fukami can gracefully slice targets with his sharpened culinary tools. While cutting fleshy organic targets is quite efficient, stabbing anything metallic or with a rough outer skin tends to not end in Fukami's favor.

Octopunch: Several decisive slaps from Fukami's tentacles are delivered onto a target.

Skewer: Fukami stabs a target with a skewer stored away in his jacket. It isn't a very efficient means of attacking although it usually gets a surprised response from whoever is being attacked.

And thus it rises.

Fukami has been added. We will assume regular(?) updates shortly.

[ runs into the thread at top speeds and trips ] hello friends i am here

if it is ok i would like to pull out kanae from the rp and replace them with cosme, my adorable witchboy

he needs an adult

take care of him

( i will draw him sometime bc i love him but i. wow )

Cosme-Etienne del Bosque (just call him Cosme)

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Panromantic asexual

Age: 17

Nationality: Half-French, Half-Spanish, the son of two witches

Appearance: Cosme is five feet tall, with tanned skin and high cheekbones. He has a petite frame and is lithe in appearance, with curly, messy dark hair that he never bothers to take care of (someone else usually brushes it for him). In addition, one may find sparks of magical dust or flowers and leaves in his hair from his garden.

Cosme's eyes are usually closed, as it helps him focus. When opened, his eyes are pure grey-white with no pupils. He has magical tattoos across his body, taking the form of entwining vines up and down his arms and legs and on his neck. These tattoos are infused with magic, and thus respond to Cosme's feelings--for example, when feeling tense, his tattoos will tremble and curl up. When happy, Cosme's vines will bloom beautiful flowers.

He has horrible fashion sense due to the fact he literally cannot see what he's putting on, so Cosme may be seen spotting a bright magenta sweater with turquoise skinny jeans. Anything goes.

Cosme is never seen without his magical bracelets, keepsakes from his parents. He has three silver bracelets on his right wrist, expertly crafted by his mother in order to restrict his power, as Cosme does not have full control over his magic quite yet. In contrast, he has two golden bands of power on his left wrist, gifts from his father in case of an emergency.

Personality: Having been raised very sheltered from the rest of the world, Cosme is soft-spoken and well educated. He has a very positive outlook on life, and is an introvert--he would much prefer staying inside and tending to his plants instead of partying. The boy is also a natural at magic, due to his inheritance, and thus enjoys making his friends’ lives a little bit better by putting a small spell on their drinks to keep it hot or making sure no rain falls on them when they take a walk, the little things. Cosme is also very dependent on people, having been raised lovingly by his parents and then transferred over to his best friend, and thus sees the good in a person before the bad. Cosme has a stubborn streak that is sired by his thirst for more knowledge, his desperate urge to discover just what magic can do beyond what the world already knows. He has big dreams of becoming a world-renowned witch and helping undo the propaganda that revolves around the use of magic.

History: The son of two powerful witches, Cosme was blinded at the age of three months due to a birth defect. Due to this, he has always been well protected by his parents and somewhat gullible--his parents constantly stressed about the wellbeing of their newborn son, and forbid him from going outside of protected grounds or doing anything that might pose dangerous to his being.

Having been homeschooled up to the age of 17, cosme felt a yearning to understand the world beyond the walls of his small home in Spain. after years of begging his parents, they consented to allow his son to move to the magic capital of the world, Quebec, upon the age of 17. knowing fully well he was going to be alone from hereon out, his parents brought him a rabbit familiar. In addition, Cosme keeps crickets and butterflies as pets.

Magic: Cosme excels in touch magic, his senses having been heightened by the loss of his sight. Due to this, Cosme communicates through touches and sends waves of magic through the air to sense nearby passengers or help him move his way across the area. However, in order to this, cosme needs to be familiar with the area--thus, he requires a guide upon reaching a newfound place, or else his magic will be confused. The more panicked he gets, the more his magic spikes, and Cosme will accidentally end up harming himself or someone else. When in a condition such as this, touching Cosme is extremely dangerous--which is why his closest friend is a master in speech magic.

In order to sense an item/person, Cosme needs to inject a little bit of his power into the being in order to recognise them. Due to this, all his possessions sparkle with magic.

Cosme was also taught a little bit of speech magic by his parents.

Others:

- His tattoos are embedded with magical spells to help him calm down; however, he needs the aid of someone extremely gifted in speech magic to do so.

- He has anxiety, and his magic will spike when stressed.

- He quotes his mother a lot without being completely aware of what he's saying.

- Cosme is fluent in Spanish and French, yet can only read basic English.

- He casts spells in his mother tongue, Spanish.

- Despite advancements in magic technology allowing magic to be used as a form of reading, Cosme was never taught even his basic letters and thus can't read at all.

- He says his favourite colour is green, despite having never seen the colour, because he loves his plants and nature and that’s what everyone tells him nature is.

- Protect him this child is so precious

Is this still going on? I'm interested in joining, I just have to decide which of my two current favorite games to represent.

Hmm, good point. Wasn't sure if a character limit was gonna be established or if it already was. I was going to represent either Yo-Kai Watch or Monster Hunter but both would be good too. Two is the maximum number of characters I can comfortably control and I can be in two different places.

I'm trying to decide between the following for each game.

Yo-Kai Watch: Benkei or Dragon Lord

Monster Hunter: Rathian, Seregios or Kushala Daora

I might be leaning toward Benkei and Rathian for personal preference reasons but I'm still trying to decide.

i hope that adult is not me, I don't even know how to file my taxes or make a breakfast sandwich

Cosme has been added, though he might die from a heart attack at all the new stimuli. Your plan to have nobody understand him (e.g. french and spanish) is also foiled, because of universal translation schenanignans. Thought I'd let you know.

@Ceadus: We'll be doing a short timeskip soon. You have plenty of time to decide. Character limit is three, with stuff like pokemon trainer, tag-team pairs counting as one "unit". Don't forget that for canon characters with a comprehensive wiki page, you need to follow the special signup format.
