How does one atone for sin,

when one is dead and forgotten then?

How does one raise form and say,

that they regret their damn-ed days?

So was said, in ages long old,

that bodies would raise, frost and cold,

an army of death and hell unbent,

from hand of necros they'd be sent.

Turned by will or turned by might,

blinded by the darkest sight.

Unable to sway or turn their path,

their salvation come at last.

But the fair lady would arise,

to see the baron meet demise.

Her fingers from her hand extend,

to her champions her power lend.

"I beg you, humanity," she would say,

so sorrowful upon that day.

"Raise your arms and take my gift,

and watch your souls begin to lift.

Know no longer pain or curse,

from your bodies shall power burst.

The light of sun, borne within,

so that you may fight and win."

Her words so warm and comfort lie,

for her most men would gladly die.

Against the baron, swords are raised,

and songs are lifted to sing praise.

But the side that wins is yet to see,

would it be life to set souls free?

Or death, to trap within,

so they may atone for sin?

The battle of this lady and the bar-on."

The Story

Earth. This wonderful planet is home to many different types of species but the most noteworthy one is likely humans. Two gods, polar opposites of one another, have staked their claim on the planet and have been fighting over it since it’s early ages. One god, the Lord of the Living, declares that her right to Earth stems from the fact she dictates who and what is born. Without her, life would not exist at all. The second god, the Baron of the Departed, declares his right to earth stems from the fact he dictates who and what dies and what becomes of those who perish. Without him, death would run amok, sweeping over the world like a plague. Despite the fact they both require one another to keep the balance over the planet, the differences between them have driven a divide between the two that has resulted in all out war.

The war lasted for centuries until the two gods realized their power was evenly matched. Exhausted and weakened, they tried to gain the upper hand but they were unable to. They could not win, not by themselves. So together they met, deciding to settle their dispute using the inhabitants of the planet they have desired. Earth would fight on behalf of the two gods and decide their war for them.

The Baron of the Departed looked to the afterlife for his army. Taking the souls of the dead, he attempted to force them back to Earth. But, with nothing to hold onto to ground them to the world, the souls quickly withered away. Unwilling to give in, the Baron of the Departed realized he needed something to hold the souls in. As a creative fellow, he began to experiment, creating creatures out of the deceased that resembled humans but just barely so and giving each creature a departed soul and some of his power so that they would fight and win. With a surplus of souls at his beck and call, he quickly created an army of monsters to serve his will on Earth.

The Lord of the Living, unlike the Baron, could not construct her own army. She had no surplus of souls she could use except the living, nor could she manipulate dead like he could. Instead, she turned to humans to fight for her. As a death-fearing species, they naturally leaned towards the Lord, looking to stop the Baron from desecrating their dead and return the Earth-bound souls to rest. But against the monsters, they could not do very much on their own. So the Lord took a few humans close and gave them her own essence, giving them power against the monsters. While she lacked the numbers Baron’s army had, she gave them great abilities. With that, the two sides were created and the battle was set.

The Baron of the Departed and the Lord of the Living

These two gods do not appear to normal humans, instead speaking to them telepathically or speaking while possessing humans. The Baron and the Lord are polar opposites of one another and, contrary to the saying, absolutely hate one another. Their powers are equal and they are one another's weaknesses, meaning their powers can destroy the other one. While gods, they are not omnipresent or omnipotent and much can pass under their gaze. The Baron is a creative person and rather numerous, finding humans interesting but still beneath him. The Lord is a sombre individual, however, and doesn't beat around the bush at all. While she may often ask permission from humans before involving them in the fight by making them her Apostles, the Lord still looks down on humans equally compared to the Baron and hardly understands humans and their functions, viewing them more as tools than anything else. The Lord is usually represented by the color white while the Baron is represented by the color black but this has no say on what "side" they stand for. The Baron and the Lord cannot be described by the terms good or evil, only different sides of the same coin. As their names suggest, the Baron and the Lord rule over different aspects of life and death but have numerous other powers under their control.

Apostles of the Lord

The Apostles are the humans that the Lord of the Living infused her essence into. Because she and the Baron are opposites, their power naturally negates one another, making the Apostles one of the only creatures that can actually kill the Beasts. The Apostles are human in appearance but each one has a special power that allows them to combat the Beasts. This power can manifest as a weapon of some kind, granting the wearer enhanced speed, durability and strength. The essence that gives the Apostles their power can be destroyed by the Beasts or the Baron himself, as well as other Apostles. Apostles can survive this process but it is extremely painful as the essence is ingrained rather deeply in them.

The Apostles are few in number but strong thanks to their weapons. When their essence is activated, it can form into a weapon or other item used for fighting. This weapon comes with numerous strong abilities but also takes its toll on the Apostles. They must sleep more and eat more than normal humans and can only keep their weapon activated for a short while before becoming overcome by the energy it uses. When not in use, the weapon dissolves back into essence and reenters it’s hosts body without any real signs it exists in the first place. The Stronger an Apostle is, the more easily they are able to both use the energy the Lord blessed them with and the stronger their attacks become against Beasts and Disciples. Stronger Apostles can manifest part of their weapon or deliberately disassociate it for a fast recall and quickly reassemble it again. Apostles can telepathically hear the Lord of the Living when she speaks to them and are guided together by her so that they can work as a force and are not individually picked off. The Apostles live within the mountains and their entire fortress is protected by large amounts of rock. Apostles are not the only ones who live here as many normal humans support them by maintaining the fortress and helping the Apostles where they can. It is from here attacks are launched on Beasts and research is done to better combat them and help the Apostles fight. All Apostles have a white mark on the palm of their right hand resembling a star to mark them as Apostles by the Lord. This white mark is almost worshipped among normal people and can be used as a kind of ID, allowing Apostles to be easily identified by the public and help in times of a crisis related to the Baron and his Beasts.

The Beasts

These creatures are unusual creatures, holding many attributes of both animal and human. They are powered by souls of deceased humans forced into unusual bodies by the Baron to serve his will. They have no memories of their life on Earth and are naturally drawn to the afterlife. Because of this, they are very unstable and will often attempt to kill other humans to try and become closer to death. They worship Baron as their god and fight against the Apostles until their own deaths. Over time, the stability of the soul inside them levels out, giving them more intelligence and stronger abilities but without a loss of their fury. Baron’s power keeps them all together, meaning only the power of the other god can truly destroy them. If something other than another Beast or Apostle injures them, they will quickly recover from the attack. Because each Beast is made by the Baron himself, they are all completely different in both power and appearance. Newer Beasts look more and more like humans and some are even able to blend in to humans. Newer Beasts are also more intelligent than others. Beasts should be NPCs but you may ask if you would like one. Their appearances be practically anything and they have a variety of skills like Disciples do. In addition, all Beasts are able to cannibalize their fellow Beasts to increase the amount of the Baron's power they possess. This makes them stronger and will occasionally change what they look like physically.

Disciples of Baron

Inspired by the Lord of the Living and her Apostles, the Baron decided to take a few humans and try using them in his war. By giving them some of his energy, he managed to create twisted versions of the Apostles that resembled them but held his power instead. Not satisfied with just this, he manipulated these humans further, going so far as to take the essence he gave them and force it to bond completely with the humans. No longer can it be removed without physically killing the hosts and instead of manifesting weapons, each Disciple gained one special ability that they can use at any time. The Disciples are also able to control the Beasts as they like and have a strong link to the Baron. There are very, very few Disciples as creating them takes a great amount of power from the Baron and he is still experimenting with creating them. The Disciples know one another and are closely connected, but physically resemble humans and can easily walk among them. At this point, Disciples are hidden from Apostles as they are a new creation and are careful about their existence when dealing with Apostles, leaving none alive that they encounter. They have a similar, if not heightened bloodlust as Beasts and tend to view themselves as superior to humans and Apostles as a result of the Baron's influence over them. Because of how closely linked they are with him, Disciples are often changed people compared to their past and have difficulty bringing themselves to fight against the Baron, even if they did not wish to become a Disciple in the first place. Like Apostles, they run risks of using their powers too much and can easily overheat, causing them to pass out. In fact, due to the higher amounts of energy infused in them, they run a greater risk of killing themselves on accident from overheating. They can kill the Apostles but, in turn, can easily be damaged by them as well. Their power is above that of Beasts and they do not have much to worry about when dealing with them because of this. In addition to their special abilities, all Disicples have a natural relationship with the Baron's power inside of them that allows them to make basic attacks based on it. This largely involves casting the power outside of their body briefly in the form of an orb and damaging creatures with it, then absorbing it again. Disciples have their own lives separate from one another but will occasionally meet in a castle the Baron created for them to discuss how to deal with the Apostles and the Lord of the Living. Despite this, they are all very close with one another and, to some extent, seem to be linked by their power emotionally to both one another and the Baron. The Disciples can all be recognized by a black star on their left palm. This is a deliberate act on the part of the Baron, meant to be a mockery of the Apostle's own mark. They can also be recognized by a large scar running down their chest from their neck to their belly button. This scar is caused by the Baron himself as infusing his Disciples with his energy to the extent that he does requires him to access their heart.

PUDDING

Username: pudding

Name: Quinn Valentina

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Species: Apostle

Appearance: Quinn is a shorter girl with a stronger build. Her skin is olive in color and she has short, cropped black hair that tends to be messy more often than not. Her eyes are brown and light freckles cover her nose, cheeks and shoulders. Like all Apostles, she possesses a white star on the palm of her hand. In terms of clothing, Quinn always wears something on her head. While this is usually a bow, it can be a bandana or a hat. Her clothing is usually a pair of shorts with a short skirt overtop, as well as a tank top of varying color. She is rarely seen without a black blazer overtop of her outfit.

History: Quinn came from a very religious family, giving her a close connection with the Lord of the Living from an early age. When she was about twelve, Quinn’s prayers to the Lord of the Living were met with a response, asking her if she wanted to serve her cause and help her. Quinn readily agreed and immediately found herself infused with the power of the Lord, causing her to manifest her weapon of choice. Following the voice of her head, Quinn was guided to the fortress where all of the other Apostles lived and has been faithfully serving the Lord of the Living ever since.

Personality: Rp'ed

Weapon: Gravitational Knuckles Quinn’s equipment manifests as two white brass knuckles with blackened points on the end. While dangerous in their own right, the brass knuckles also contain the ability to manipulate how gravity affects those they touch. Because she wears them, Quinn can naturally make herself less affected (Leading to gentler attacks but increased speed) or heavier (Leading to more brutal attacks but decreased speed and more strain put on her body), as well as those she brutally punches.

Username: pudding

Name: Miles

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Species: Disciple

Appearance: Miles is a tall, lanky man with dark skin, green eyes and curly, black hair that he likes to keep brushed backwards or under some kind of a hat. Like all Disciples, he has a black star on the palm of his hand, but it is usually kept covered by a glove as not to give himself away as being unusual. His outfits are incredibly versatile but he usually keeps himself well-dressed, preferring clothing that is more regal than the tattered rags he used to wear. He doesn't like getting dirty and goes through great efforts to keep himself looking nice, hence his wardrobe choices.

History: Miles was orphaned at a young age when he lost both of his parents to a car accident he barely survived. While this initially landed him in the custody of an orphanage, Miles spent most of his time running about the city as he grew older. Thanks to the deaths of many parents at the hands of the Beasts, his absences were rarely noticed or spoken about. However, it did not take very long before his strolls ended up nearly getting him killed. A Beast pinned him in an alleyway when he was 14 and had heavily injured him when the creature suddenly stopped. Having been ordered by the Baron himself, the Beast brought the bleeding boy away from the city and spent several days in the wilderness with him as the Baron forcefully infused the boy with his own powers, turning him into a Disciple. Influenced heavily by the Baron’s powers, Miles joined the his side and became one of the few early Disciples of the Baron and has served him and his cause loyally ever since.

Personality: Miles is a man of both the present and the past. While he doesn't like to hold onto the time before he was a Disciple and prefers to keep that part of him as far away as possible, Miles also doesn't like to let things rest. If he was wronged at all he enjoys seeking petty revenge and, above all things, likes toying with people. The Baron's affects on his personality are great as while he has a great love for other Disciples and the Baron himself, Miles could care less about humans and their lives, as well as Apostles. He comes across as very playful at first but his smile more often than not hides teeth as he takes great care in eliminating those who stand on the other side of the war they fight.

Power: Fickle While possessing a fancy name, Miles' ability is really just a fancy word for intangibility. He can choose what his body does and does not pass through at any point in time and can even cause certain parts of his body to be intangible while others are not. His ability naturally allows him to phase through any Earthly matter or creatures infused with the Baron’s power but, because the Lord’s power is the Baron’s weakness, he cannot phase through anything possessing the Lord of the Living’s essence. This includes Apostles and their Equipment, though he can phase through Apostles themselves when their equipment is in use (Because the essence has left their body at this point). While he can travel through things infused with the Baron's power, it is like moving through jelly and he can still be struck to some extent. If the Baron himself possesses a body, Miles cannot travel through it at all. His ability can be extended to some extent, allowing objects he is touching to become intangible as well. As with other parts of his ability, things composed of the Lord's essence cannot become intangible and things composed of the Baron's power will resist this power.

Other: As a Disciple, he can naturally destroy the Apostles and command lower-intelligence Beasts. Beasts with greater intelligence have a greater free will and can more easily resist his orders.

Username: pudding

Name: Momo

Age: Newborn (But made from the soul of an older human and resembles a young girl)

Gender: Nonbinary (It/Its or they/them)

Species: Beast

Appearance: Momo is one of the more modern, more humanoid Beasts. As such, it looks more or less human and even resembles a younger girl to help with this disguise. On the surface, Momo has darker skin and medium length light hair that falls down past its shoulders. It has a small nose and large, dark eyes. Its hair is held in a clip on one side while the other side falls down, covering one of its eyes. They usually wears dresses that cover most of their body. They're shorter and more round than most and deliberately designed to appear harmless.

Of course, there are a few indications of Momo not being human. Above their other two eyes, on their forehead, is a third eye that does not match their others. Instead, it possesses a large, black pupil and is surrounded completely by yellow with no visible whites. It belongs to a bird of prey and allows them to have more exceptional eyesight. When closed, it easily blends into their forehead and is only noticeable upon close inspection. Both sets of their fingernails are sharpened to the point where they can act like knives, easily cutting through skin. However, these modifications are the only ones it possesses because it is meant to appear human and, thus sacrifices some attacking powers.

History: Momo’s origins are one of absolute spite. Under normal circumstances, the Baron has some respect for Apostles. Along with modeling his Disciples after them, he enjoys watching them fight and struggle against his beasts. When they die, he allows their souls to rest and doesn’t attempt to bring them back as Beasts. But when Miles became unreachable and Geralt rebelled, the Baron blamed the unruliness on the Lord and was angered by her interference. In response, he took several deceased Apostles and used their souls as a base for Beasts for the specific purpose of finding the rogue Disciples. Momo is one of these new Beasts, created from an Apostle that died several years prior.

Personality: RP'ed

Power: Momo possesses a “second sight”. The eye on their forehead is capable of gaining information from objects it directly observes while Momo is holding/touching it. Momo has to both observe the object with their third eye and hold it for the clairvoyance to activate. When observing people, they can only read information on the surface of their mind or what they are actively thinking about.

Other: Momo enjoys wearing colorful dresses. They are also very intelligent, being a more recent creation of the Baron's.

THAELASAN

Username: Thaelasan

Name: Rylain Almont

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Species: Apostle

Appearance: A bearded fellow with stern eyes and a sword-bearing arm, Rilain looks like a Templar in the clothes of an Apostle. In fact, he'd prefer it were that way. As though harkening to another realm, where he was yet another holy being, he carries his sword, Dominus, which crosses borders to serve his hand. Yet here, it is unknown if it still holds its holy power. His eyes are white-blue. His hair is light brown.

History: Rylain served the Lady almost as soon as her power began to grow against the Baron. Infuriated at the desecration of the fallen he once served beside in wars unknown, he has risen a blade forged for him in those battles in order to see them laid to rest once again. He has sworn vengeance upon the Baron, but takes pity upon the abominations which serve him - giving them either a just death, or an opportunity to atone for their decisions.

Alongside him stands Miyamoto Akane, a woman of the East, yet with pale skin, raised in the foreign land. His fighting style compliments hers in that it is more offensive, relying on brute power and holy might.

Personality: Considerate, but still heavily dependent upon his faith. He impresses it upon others to watch for the temptations of the Baron and despises those who follow the Lord of the Dead. His love for the Lady of Life is second only to the love he holds for Akane. He speaks much, but elaborates more than he should, sometimes talking for far too long. He is much like a kindly father to innocents, but a brutal warrior to the wicked.

Weapon: Dominus, a blade whose name should obviously mean Lord, or Dominion, in an ancient tongue. The blade, fittingly, dominates a battlefield. The more enemies that face him, the more he grows in strength to suit the battle. It also seeks to dominate larger opponents, becoming more powerful based on the size of the beast he faces. The sword, however, is not fit for quick strikes, as it requires two hands to bear and much of his strength.

Other: Do you truly seek Salvation?

Username: Thaelasan.

Name: Akane Miyamoto.

Age: 22

Gender: Female.

Species: Apostle.

Appearance: With silver-white hair, not caused by age but by the magic she uses and her own natural color, as well as pale skin, she almost appears to be ghost in combat. As such, some have mistaken her for a Wraith servant of the Baron. She is, however, quite the contrary. She is slender, but tall, yet with the arms of one who has borne a blade for long enough to understand its movement. She wears the armor of her country rather than armor similar to Rylain.

History: Akane joined the Lady shortly after Rylain did. They had known each other before the crusade, meeting only a short while before the gods arose and declared their champions.

Personality: Unlike her sword and appearance, Akane is quite warm and inviting, harkening to the hospitality she was raised to show. She prefers, however, to be alone rather than in a group, since it becomes tiresome to her.

Weapon: A katana she has come to call Ryukinami, the Blade of an Ice Dragon. Its fighting style of the chilling blade is fluid, as water, but as stinging as ice. Unlike Rylain, who depends upon brutal strikes, hers are more precise, and calculated, using speed to her advantage. The blade's unique ability is the chill it inflicts upon those it bites, and the air it brings with it, which reduces the temperature in an area whenever the blade is free of her body.

Other: Or do you simply seek a Just End?

Username: Thaelasan

Name: Geralt Skarsgard

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Species: Disciple.

Appearance: Berserking form: When the gift was given, his body began to reject it. Of course, this had its downsides. Whatever remained of his physical form became green, twisted, and corrupt. Spikes emerge from his back where flesh once was, causing him agonizing pain each day. His teeth have elongated, forming a maw of madness. His eyes are black, with no iris to speak of. He looks primitive, alien, and horrifying. The only thing that truly remains of his original form is his hair, white like his sister's, which contrasts with the rest of his body, and falls haggard down his mutated form.

Non-Berserk: He resembles his twin sister, in that he has pale skin and his white hair is less haggard, but if he removes his shirt, there are scars on his back where the blades entered his body, and the scar upon his chest where the Baron touched him.

History: Geralt was fascinated with medical science before his mutation. He experimented upon the living, trying desperately to find the method by which to cause immortality, something which would have been considered a boon by mankind predating the apocalypse.

But he failed continuously, thanks to the intervention of the Baron. Then, the Baron continued to plague him, driving the man into a rage. While berserking, Geralt struck against his beloved sister and carved a line of flesh across her throat before stumbling backward and nearly dying, his own medical equipment shoving into his backside and scarring his body. The acids which burned his form did not stop the Baron from bringing him back, certain that this once medical genius would be a suitable addition to his army.

His rebirth was agonizing, and continues to torment him to this day. The holes on his back where he was stabbed are now replaced by spikes reminiscent of the equipment which ruptured his flesh. The greenish yellow color of the acid has become the color of his skin. Where his flesh was burned, it is now corrupt and black. He no longer resembles a man, a fitting fate for one who attempted to defy death.

Personality: He has forgotten his true purpose. His only guiding force is the hand of the Baron and fragments of his past life. He remembers a girl, with white hair like his own, and believes finding her will reveal more about himself. He despises his own existence each day he awakens and has begged for something to kill him, but each time he dies, the Baron simply brings his broken body back to life, giving him a mockery of his immortality.

Power: A berserking form, forced by the Baron. When extremely anxious or upon seeing an Apostle, he is forced into the form. Spikes jut painfully from his backside, from the scars where he was killed, and his blood burns like acid.

Other: "Please... deliver me from my fate, my beloved sister.... Bring me peace... Please..."

Username: Thaelasan

Name: Brother Leonard Forth

Age: 68

Gender: Male

Species: Human. Devoted to the Lady of Life.

Appearance: Oh look. I actually have a picture for once.

History: Brother Forth is no stranger to time or death. He has seen much of the world, and possesses great wisdom because of it. He always enjoyed writing, and thus, because he could no longer lift a weapon in battle or fight as well as he once he could, he spends his days translating and writing texts concerning the Lady and the Baron.

It is with the hope that the more information the people understand about the pair, the more they understand the grave nature of it. For if a person understands war, they understands the consequences, and make better choices.

Personality: He acts as the father/grandfather figure to the children under his care, and a friend to those who know him. He is slow to anger, and does not judge. He is known to take time to deliberate over a decision for a while before making a choice. He has a laugh that is almost famous throughout the fortress for easing tension and making others laugh along.

Weapon: Well, the pen IS mightier than the sword, but that's about the only weapon he has.

Other: "Ah, would you care to hear a story, young one?"

SULDHASNO

Username:SULDhasno

Name:Miteki Saikiya

Age: Any age limits on this? I would say... 22

Gender: Male

Species: Apostle

Appearance: He is a little on the tall side, especially if you count the hair he has (Spiky, like very spiky, as in like it could act as a weapon spiky) which makes him look quite a bit taller than he actually is. He has dark brownish hair and a set of brown eyes to go match with the hair. He generally wears a short-sleeved shirt of varying colours (Normally it's a turquoise lightish blue) and some jeans to go with it. As with all Apostles he has the star mark on his right hand (Which he finds annoying and weird).

History: A fairly standard childhood life, until of course his dad just had to experience a near-death-experience with a Beast like thingy (Of course Miteki is a badass so he saved him), which of course caused Miteki to you know, accept this whole I'm-a-magical-kid thingy, although he really doesn't enjoy that star on his right hand.

Personality: A very not-very-serious person, he tends not to freak out when faced with a life and death situation (what, he did save his dad from a Beast like thingy), in fact he never freaks out. No matter what, he never freaks out. It is impossible. So in place of not freaking out, he is a very relaxed and carefree person. If he is not that, he is bored. He does look a little bit intimidating, especially with that I-don't-really-care face that he usually has on, but on the contrary is actually quite a nice guy. Unless you're one of those Beast thingies, then he is not a very nice guy. If you are one of those Beast thingies, he is a merciless (and badass in a bad way) killing machine. Also, he can be an intelligent person though his mental maturity is way off. He is very impulsive.

Weapon: The Purifier (oh yea)- A set of two handgun like weaponry that, yes, shoot bolts of purifying light (duh). The weapons give him enhanced speed and reflexes, and can also fire quite quickly depending on how fast he pulls the trigger. The projectiles are fairly powerful, and can activate two special bolts that 'tag' its target, giving him even more speed and slows the target down.

Power: None

Other: And yes, I love my Electro-telekinesis powers

Username:SULDhasno

Name:Talia Keithsman

Age:22

Gender:Female

Species: Apostle

Appearance: She has long chestnut-like hair that she usually keeps up in a ponytail, and to go with that she has grey eyes. She is tall, though not nearly as tall as her friend (that is Miteki if you were wondering) but looks twice as intimidating. She, instead of having a carefree or bored expression on her face has a very solemn one instead. Which makes her very intimidating. She normally just wears a T-shirt and jeans. The jeans are blue and the T-shirt varies in colour.

History: Mother died at birth and father ran away soon after. She was picked up by a childless mother and father, and raised there, befriending Miteki, and of course becoming an Apostle.

Personality:She is a very serious person. That sums up her personality. Not the type you want to mess around with, because that would probably mean death. Anyone who manages to get past all that seriousness and earns her loyalty (some call that becoming friends, I'm not sure what she calls it) will have a very fearsome person on their side. She is a very loyal person to her 'friends' I shall call them. She never laughs as well. If you can make her life you can die happy.

Weapon: Ember Bow- A bow. But a really cool one. First of all, it doesn't need arrows. Simply pulling the string causes one to pop up. But this is of course no ordinary arrow, instead it is more like a really, really fast projectile of ember that resembles an arrow. This bow gives her the ability to move a lot faster, as well as enhancing her senses, making her the more keeping-distance-while-annihilating-your-enemies type. The arrow can also charge up, becoming a much stronger, faster and explosive projectile that resembles an arrow, in turn sacrificing her time and speed (momentarily).

Power: None

Other: Yes, I know. I love my smoke and ember powers because I also love inFamous second son

ESKO_THE_WOLF

Username: Esko_the_Wolf

Name: Ellis Skarsgard

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Species: Apostle

Appearance: Ploop. The other twin can be based off of this, or if Thael wants, I can change it. She is rather short, at about 5'2", and there is a scar (or something) on her neck.

History: {See Geralt}

Personality:

With impaired speech, getting thoughts out is very hard. This makes her a shy and introverted girl, but it came with advantages. Her chance to still 'speak' came in paper and pencil- the greatest tools of a creative thinker. With a pencil or piece of burnt wood, she could write her thoughts and display wonderful ideas generated by her intelligent brain. She absolutely loves to doodle. On good days, you can find her making countless doodles in the dirt or drawing on walls- just about anywhere can you find a doodle of hers.

Weapon: "Lights' Tooth" a deadly war style scythe with a faint glow. It is taller than her at about 5'9". The blade looks to be made of solid ivory, and the handle made from a sort of redwood. It can shine a bright light and dull at her will, which can both blind enemies and be a substitute for a flashlight

KUROKISHI

Username: KuroKishi

Name: Hēi "Daimao" Jūn (Maou)

Age: ?? (Claims to be around 23 years old in human form)

Gender: Male

Species: Beast

Appearance: The Daimao is a semi-humanoid demon of long ago, only freshly awoken by the Baron's activities. He stands very tall at almost 6'6 in his true form and has a well-developed muscular body type. His skin tone is a deep, dark sea green that borders dark blue and gray tones, covered with multiple cracks over his entire body that show a brighter blue layer glowing with power underneath his skin. A few runes of ancient times also cover his body and glow with the same blue light, indicating they have been carved into his skin long ago, but some of them are more recent, back from when the Baron worked on reviving the Daimao himself for his own usage in this war.

Though his body is mainly human-like, his legs are more animalistic and various bones appear from different parts of his body. Those white constructs cover parts of his upper arms, the upper part of his head and, most importantly, make up the bone structure of his wings. The bones on his head are strangely dragon-like in the sense that they have a main part which begins from his upper jaw and ends as horns that go backward, then loop back forward and end with sharp tips that point slightly downward.

Maou wields a strange blade of ebony black reflective metal, covered by the same glow along his body, tissue that is apparently the same as his own skin, and bones, the largest of which is once again a dragon-like skull and acts as a hilt guard for the blade's broad handle.

Other than this, the Daimao's body is only covered at his legs by ancient tassets that are covered by more glowing runes, skulls and body-like tissue.

A picture of the Daimao (full height with weapon) and a closer look at his head.

On the contrary, the Daimao's human form is much more simplistic. He claims it looks like an average, 23 year old adventuring youngster of Asian origins. He has short, black hair and matching dark brown (almost black) eyes, whilst his body is slim, yet muscular. He wears a one piece baggy robe with hood, colored in black and green with white outlines, as well as a mesh undershirt visible from his shoulders. The robe ends just after the shoulder plates at his arms and is tucked into a slim pair of boots at his lower legs. He has metallic gauntlets on both arms that are paired with black gloves, as well as a sash around his belt and a sword holder attached at his right side. In it, one can find a katana within an azure sheath and with a dark blue handle that has two long strips of blue cloth coming out of it.

Here is a picture of the Daimao's illusory form.

History: The Daimao was actually a demonic entity that inhabited the mountains of China since before the beginning of the Great Wall's construction. He could not be seen by the early humans and their predecessors, for they were not able to spot his magical strength and ethereal form - that is, as long as he did not wish for them to. As such, he constantly fed himself with the fear of travellers, merchants, villagers and soldiers that spread the legend of the Daimao in his region. It all seemed to be going well, until, during a lengthy period of weak human activity in his lands, the demon found himself falling into a deep slumber in order to speed through time and suffer less from the lack of energy for him to nurture himself with.

He was awakened very rudely by humans rushing into his cavern many years later - so many, in fact, that he would soon find the wall fully completed and the years nearing almost the 20th century. There was, apparently, an attack on a nearby village, which caused its inhabitants to flee into his cave. Intrigued of what was happening outside, the Daimao wandered out of his cave and explored the lands to find just what had changed during his absence. Right now, there was a strange war where humans used weird weapons... which he found uninteresting. Soon, he left China itself and wandered through the entire world - there was way too many new things for him to only remain in that one country he had lived in for so long. Only a couple days later, however, he was actually spotted by one of the earliest Apostles.

The young Apostle that lacked experience and knowledge of its opponents apparently did not find the demonic entity something friendly and attacked it as if it was an actual Beast. Lacking power because of not feeding on human fears for years, the Daimao fought back, but was ultimately almost slain by the Apostle and left to die amidst a field of grass.

The demon's life faded away slowly, and the only things that came to its mind were the battles it had lead against armies sent to kill his physical form and priests attempting to destroy him spiritually. He could not die, and especially not because of something he did not know of!

That was when the Baron sensed his dying form... and approached him in a moment of curiosity many years later, when trying to create more human-like Beasts. He wondered if the demon would still be there, but the fact still stood that he was only visible to beings such as him and the Lady, so it was no suprise that the Baron found the Daimao's ethereal remains in the middle of the grass field.

Personality: Considered one of the few highly intelligent Beasts capable of rational, human-like thought and behaviour, Maou is a rarity that can actually interact with Disciples, perform complex missions and orders with no issues and also take part personally in Disciple meetings - even if only as an observer, he can stand in the same room with both the Baron and his chosen ones whilst the rest of the beasts stand outside and listen in or learn afterwards.

Maou's personality is serious on the whole. As he has gotten used to being treated as a beast from the Baron and other beasts, he has kept his levels of intelligence only by talking with humans and reading some of their literature. His attitude does not tolerate most jokes or irrelevant behaviour, but might change with the new Disciples that could now interact with him and teach him a bit more about what it is to be a human. He is also a bit rebellious - though thankful of the Baron for saving his life, the demon still considers himself better than what he currently plays the role of, so he might at times not act in favor of the side of the Baron and his Disciples.

The Daimao excels mainly and only in combat. He savors the feeling of blood flowing along his skin and spilling itself on the ground so much that he recieves a sort of 'bloodlust' during combat. His entire being, from body to soul, has been moulded to improve his skills and make him wish to fight. In battle, he speaks a bit more, with the main emphasis of his choice of words going to either taunts or remarks about how he feels about the fight. He prefers a challenge more than annoyances and might grow irritated if mostly pestered from a distance - this may prove better or worse for his opponents, depending on his focus and thought process during the fight, but is generally not encouraged.

Power: As a demonic entity, empowered further by the Baron's strength, Maou is a master level combatant. Even before his revival, he was physically strong and very much capable of defending himself. The perks he recieved from the Baron's own blood infused with his own, however, made things even better for him.

His mastered power granted to him by the Baron - the absorption and usage of blood, no matter of what source - allows him to do two things.

During battle, it allows him to make use of the bloodshed he and his opponents cause to heal himself - depending on the amount and power of the blood, he can do anything from removing scars to recreating full arms and wings.

Whilst outside combat and especially when near humans, Maou can shift his own form through the Baron's influence and his blood into a human one. His human appearance is fully convincing - there are very few, if any, that can see through the illusory form and spot what he is - and it is also capable of touch and combat. Not only that, it is also uniquely infused in a way that makes it unrecognizeable for every time he is first seen. The downside to this power, however, is the fact that the illusion wavers when near Apostles or other Disciples, as the Baron's power wavers near ones that can synchronize with it. Whilst the effect for Disciples is only noticeable if he is almost intimately in contact with them, Maou's fake form becomes weakly flawed as long as an Apostle is in an arm's reach of him. He may still succesfully hide himself from both if he makes use of his clothing and surroundings because he can notice which parts are losing the illusion, but it is a lot more easier for both the Baron's and the Lady's chosen to find his true identity.

Oh, and one more thing - the Baron may, at any time, decide to place an Apostle or Disciple's mark on one of his hands. As Maou is not exactly the most... obedient entity, he may use this at times to cause trouble for the Beast if he ever grows irritated by its behaviour.

Other: The Daimao lacks parts between the legs which other males of the human species have - this allows him to both walk comfortably with such clothing and use no armor there in combat without worry. Just so you guys know.

Also, for the whole bunch of his names: his human form is named Hēi Jūn (so first name is Jūn and the second one is Hēi), whilst his demon name is Daimao and he is called Maou by some for short.

Brother Forth's Writings

{Written by Thaelasan}

NOTE: These writings may or may not be accurate to the story.

To the reader,

I have begun penning this elaborate work in order to ensure the informational distribution of both ancient texts concerning the gods themselves and all things related to them. It was not easy to find these writings. But, nevertheless, I have located a good amount of them and taken the time to pen them in a way so as to be easy to remember and easy to grasp. The original texts were written in a tongue so simplistic that most words could have seven different meanings. But it is my hope that these translations are as accurate as can be found, and that I have sated the curiosity of readers who have come into the possession of one of these novels.

First, it is important to explain just what these gods are, and even that is a difficult task. These are not gods in the sense we have been told. They are more of... squabbling siblings vying over a block. They are quite akin to the Greek gods in the way that they possess human emotion with non-human forms, personification of facts of life and death. However, we all know now that they exist, so anything related to them can be proven in some fashion.

The religion devoted to the Baron (or in their tongue, the Bal'torash), is quite odd in that it doesn't celebrate death, but more the nonexistence of life. It is a devout group of followers who confess to themselves that life is flawed, and is a curse upon existence. Life brings about emotion and war, and thus is vicariously a terrible subject. Humorously, they admit that their own lives are meaningless, and that there is no point to their birth. Whether this is due to traumatic experiences as children, or a simple belief that has become igrained in their minds is unknown. It is known that their rituals to please Bal'torash involved tattoos symbolizing death, drinking of chalices symbolizing birth, and in some severe cases, self-mutilation to the brink of death. They say that this allows them to have counsel with Bal'torash himself each time death is close. But whether that is real or not remains to be seen.

However, the worship of the Lady is vastly different. Followers do not commit acts of such nature. They simply accept their lives and consider them blessings by a kindly diety. They accept that existence allows them to live, and therefore, they try to enjoy it. There are, however, tattoos for the religion regarding the Lady, especially for Apostles, who are given a tattoo upon their initiation. It is also said that - quite like Bal'Torash - the Lady can be seen in dreams, visions, while slumbering.

It is quite remarkable to note that the Lady's name in most ancient translations is actually masculine, and most names for her mean "great warrior", "holy man", and "son of sun." But her gender is not in question. However, it does beg the question if the people knew what they were saying of her, or if the words merely didn't matter when it came to the actual religion, or if they were simply ignorant.

It is now known that the Lady - known in ancient tongue as Laedel - identifies as a female figure, portrayed in most recent paintings as clutching a sun in one hand and a seed in the other, symbolizing the warmth and birth of life. In some pictures, one may also see the Lady appearing to be pregnant, symbolizing birth and new life. However, in no texts has it been said that the Lady ever copulated with any god, known or otherwise. It is believed she is a virgin goddess, which is ironic considering her aspect.

The Baron, Bal'Torash, is normally portrayed as a shapeless mass of skulls and bones, naturally symbolizing death and entropy. He also carries around a gravestone upon which is marked the word "Huranas", which means World or Civilization. He also is always seen with crows surrounding him and bodies beneath his feet, assume to be kneeling.

As such, the religions of Bal'Torash and Laedel have been rampant since the birth of civilization, but have mostly been kept a safely guarded secret by their followers.

Thus, the reader may now hopefully understand more about the faith and belief of these gods, and using this information, may understand more the following chapters....

-Brother Forth, Understanding the Faiths

The Beasts had risen in a massive swarm, larger than any anyone had seen before. Hundreds of their kind, each more mutated than the last, mounting an assault upon the world. They stood in wait for the order of their master Bol'Torash. They knew only his word, and they waited eagerly.

The people had no hope of survival. They knew, in their hearts, this would end with the death of millions. Many called it the end of the world, the day the demons of hell itself had risen to take their lives.

Yet, amongst the carnage, a single, teenage boy, riding the back of a white horse, a woman seated behind him of his age, entered the fray. He and she were new Apostles, barely having learned to use their weapons.

But it seemed when they entered the fray, the Lady herself seemed to appear behind him. The boy raised a sword, a glowing, white blade with a hilt of gold and silver. No one had been told to follow this youngling. No one had spoken a word.

And yet, at his movement, the entire army of Apostles charged the army of Beasts in a great conflict called the Battle of Black Hill, so named for the blood of the Beasts which coated the land following its conclusion.

But the boy was not the only one who fought. Behind him, the woman who rode with him raised a blade of Eastern descent, seemingly formed of ice. A great blizzard, chilling, coated the Beasts in ice and frost, yet left the Apostles untouched as they continued to battle. The ice seemed to ignore them, preferring the flesh of the Beasts themselves. As fire, blades, and light flew across the landscape, the boy continued to hold the blade to the sky. He would swing it downward, and a great arc of light would soar from it, cutting down a swathe of Beasts, the size increasing as more Beasts approached. And then he would simply raise it again, and begin to pray.

As the battle ended, the boy let the blade fall to his side. The Apostles looked to him, confused, and waited for his words.

"The Lady says we are to build a castle here, a fortress for those who are loyal to her, for those who fought in this, and who shall continue to fight and live on." the boy said, the blade leaving his hand and returning to his body. "Here, we shall stand defiant against the armies of the Baron. Here, we will live. Here, we will grow. We will train, and we will fight back."

And then, he was silent, and yet his words carried strength. Within months, the castle was built, as though guided by an omnipotent hand. And the boy grew within its walls to become a man, who still bore the blade of a lord of battle, and his beloved grew to become a mistress of ice, who followed him, and he followed her.

The blade became known to all within the fortress, its name spoken of as a reminder of the great fight which had given them this land.

The name of a lord of good and life.

Dominus, Blade of Kings.

(( (Glomps friend Pudding.)

I'll probably end up putting in a sheet. But I'll probably make only Apostles. Disciples sound cool, but I'd rather the guy with the abominations of death and decay didn't win this battle. It's like trying to decide between Nito or Gwynevere from Dark Souls.

Most likely, it will be Rilain and Akane's reincarnations in this world. Or perhaps a new couple. I actually would like to also try a Disciple who was turned against his will and only his arm is twisted into a blade and a woman who is an Apostle and once hated him and then tries to purify him without killing him.

A tragic love story. I LOVE IT!

Yeah, neither god is great but The Baron is certainly a bigger pain. Then again, people used horses in war forever and that was never a huge problem. From his standpoint, he's probably being super nice by giving souls a chance to walk the Earth again and by giving some humans pieces of his power. The Lord is most certainly more into asking for permission, though.

Trying to 'cure' Disciples will absolutely be a fun thing. It would be fun to have some Apostles try for that. I would absolutely support your romance idea and if you don't want to make a Disciple yourself, Miles would certainly be up for it (Especially considering he was technically forced into the job himself)

(( How does one atone for sin,

when one is dead and forgotten then?

How does one raise form and say,

that they regret their damn-ed days?

So was said, in ages long old,

that bodies would raise, frost and cold,

an army of death and hell unbent,

from hand of necros they'd be sent.

Turned by will or turned by might,

blinded by the darkest sight.

Unable to sway or turn their path,

their salvation come at last.

But the fair lady would arise,

to see the baron meet demise.

Her fingers from her hand extend,

to her champions her power lend.

"I beg you, humanity," she would say,

so sorrowful upon that day.

"Raise your arms and take my gift,

and watch your souls begin to lift.

Know no longer pain or curse,

from your bodies shall power burst.

The light of sun, borne within,

so that you may fight and win."

Her words so warm and comfort lie,

for her most men would gladly die.

Against the baron, swords are raised,

and songs are lifted to sing praise.

But the side that wins is yet to see,

would it be life to set souls free?

Or death, to trap within,

so they may atone for sin?

The battle of this lady and the bar-on."

- Proverbs of the Forgotten Text, Written by Brother Forth.

There's another sheet after this, perhaps. I'm not sure. Another female character, and then possibly a male acolyte touched by the Baron when he was captured, now poisoned and most likely fated to die. He loses his life span each time he uses his power.

For anyone interested, the Gauntlet soundtrack has a pretty good song for the Baron until I find a better one.

EDIT:

makes me want to bring Dracula back so I can play this during their epic conflicts. Dracula, of course, would be a Disciple of the Baron, his power being Vampyric.

Also, as a Dark Souls fanatic, I firmly believe that

and either
or
] is the Lady.

This is my fancanon and I hold it dear to me. :3 ))

(( Madame Pudding, as long as credit is given, my poems are for anyone's use. I plan on writing more of them as the NPC (though I'd prefer if it was only me who used him, but I can't stop you) Brother Leonard Forth, an aged man who wished to be an Acolyte but no longer possesses the strength to carry a blade or gun, or the sight to see his foes clearly. So he writes translated versions of ancient proverbs from the times when the Lady and the Baron were more pronounced Gods.

He also heavily warns Acolytes and the Lady not to kill the Baron. This isn't a war about ending the Baron's life. If that were done, no one would ever die again, and that would cause more problems than good. Immortality is a boon, yes, but death is another fact of life, and humanity is not yet ready for the ascension to being immortals. We don't have the expansion or the resources to allow for such a burst in population. He is a wise one, he is.

He doesn't just translate, he morphs them into poetry, so they are easy to remember for those in the field. Some of his proverbs have been turned into battle chants or prayers to the Lady of Life.

I mean, I'd make a character sheet for him, but he's your average human with no heroic blessings. He just has a way with words, years under his belt, and a talent with a pen. That's how he'd describe himself, if he was made to say a few words that described who he was. He also takes care of the children of Acolytes, notably Rylain and Akane's son, Haruki Almont, who - in this timeline - has survived, and hopes to one day join his parents on the battlefield.

Yes, Pudding, you may make dark possible outcomes using Haruki, by making the Baron target him or something, but I'd rather he didn't die again. I'd like to think this was a timeline where Rylain and Akane actually succeeded in having a child.

He was born when Akane was roughly 19, so he's only about 4 years old now. Much different from the Nephilim saga.

You have inspired me more than you know, Pudding. For some reason this Lady of Life and Baron of Death have made me REALLY WANT TO WRITE.

But can you tell me - what sort of era are we in? We're on Earth, but is this medieval fantasy or futuristic comaderie? ))

((I always love your character designs Thael and, if you wanted to, you can make Brother Leonard Forth a character sheet. If not, I'll label him as an NPC for your use only. I only avoided humans because this is a war against the supernatural and humans are more likely to die, especially if a majority of the characters are human. But having one who would stick around the fortress and speaks to the Apostles would be a welcomed addition to the group.

The Baron is absolutely one for low blows and, as soon as Rylain and Akane become a notable thorn in his side, he would likely attempt to stop them by using their son. I'll try to make sure he doesn't die but he might get involved depending how Rylain and Akane deal with the Beasts and the Disciples.

The era of this is unusual as the Baron and the Lord's affects on things are notable. I would say technology and such has followed its natural course up through the late 20th century when the Baron and the Lord decided to turn their fight to Earth. At this point, technology advancements would have stopped and probably would have even decreased due to the fact the Beasts are regularly killing lots of people. I'd call it fantasy but probably the Interwar Era (Between World War I and World War II) instead of medieval in terms of fashion, technology and other pursuits.))

(( If you need me to delete this, I can.

@Esko, I can play a twin. God, I'm probably going to end up with five characters in this, seven if you include Haruki and Brother Forth.

This is either going to be the most enjoyable RP I've ever been in or the most confusing. Then again, the point of view of each character is vastly different.

Haruki will still see the world with the optimistic eyes of a child, saying he'll kill beasts and knowing (in his heart) good will win and his parents will always be safe. At least, that's what he believes. He can't speak large words or understand them yet.

Brother Forth will be the alternate, the eyes of an old man, knowing and wise, almost like a kindly father to those who speak to him. A lot of them wanted to call him a priest of the Lady, but he declined, saying he was too old to bother with too many sermons and praising. He preferred writing to speaking.

Akane is a female with a warm heart but a cold exterior, furious with the Baron for his mistreatment of the dead, especially so knowing her culture and background. Desecrating the dead is a taboo far beyond any we can understand, and thus she would gladly plunge her blade into his cold heart.

Rylain is a male with a personality sort of like Akane's but more focused on the fact that he wishes to defend the innocent rather than to enjoy the murder of the Beasts. He is more outspoken, however.

Winlain is Rylain's brother, an accursed man once Apostle turned Disciple against his will. He seeks a way to return to his former self but the Baron forces him to obey. I'm not sure yet if he will actually become a character or not.

And then Esko's twin.

And the possible love interest of Winlain.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooodness. I already have so many poems planned, epic lines, hilarity, and ancient texts. I WANT TO BEGIN. I WANT TO WRITE.

And don't worry. I don't expect anyone to actually read every word of my text walls, so don't be afraid if you want to post in this and don't have the time/care to write a wall like I do. I just prefer them. Write what you can.

OH MY GOODNESS I COULD EVEN BRING GARETH AND EZREA BACK. THIS COULD BE SUCH A CLUSTER.

@Pudding: Oh youuuu.

A lot of my character descriptions come from music inspiration and stories I've read. I make them up based on a conglomeration of both. I also take the setting into account. You have to make a good reason for a person to be optimistic during the Great Depression, or depressed during the Great Enlightenment. But it's possible. And it happened. And you can do it.

And when I create a character, either here or in a comic, I BECOME them. I take on their mentality. When I post as them, I listen to a song that sounds to me like them, and I make an entire part of my mind work as theirs. How do they see things? What do they desire? What do they despise?

I will admit that the female mentality always fascinates me. Whether independent or not, they're intriguing. I don't know why. Perhaps it's because I'm male, and having the ability to see through the eyes of the opposite gender is a strange ability? Or maybe I'm just overanalyzing this and it's no different either way?

(Shrugs) I still loved playing as Ezrea she was adorable.

And if you know who I'm talking about you remember how adorable she was.

I thought about making a Beast pet too. I mean, since the Baron has Beasts, do the Acolytes have the ability to tame purified animals? I'm sorry, but the idea of Rylain leading a wolf while Akane rides the back of a white fox sounds very epic and I wish to have this occur. I may even have to change Akane's weapon to an icy bow so she can fire arrows from the back of a Fox OH MY GOD THERE ARE TOO MANY DECISIONS AND I CAN'T MAKE THEM ALL HELP ME IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.

COULD YOU IMAGINE!?

Rylain running into battle with his sword bared and Akane firing arrows from behind him that chill and pin Disciples to the ground, forcing them to face Rylain while he swings in a fury against the undead abominations threatening the peace of his world?! I CAN FEEL THE ENERGY.

Pudding help me I actually kind of want this to be a thing and it would make more sense for Akane since her original incarnation was a Shrine Maiden and we all know that anime says they use bows/staves and IT WOULD MAKE SO MUCH SENSE BECAUSE YOU COULD EVEN HAVE FORTH GO

"And there was a blizzard from behind them, a great storm of hail. But when they looked closer, they saw that it was not natural at all. A horde, a swarm of arrows, flying from a single source scattered their opponents and forced them to kneel, frozen in place. As the men turned to look at their salvation, they saw a ghost sitting atop the back of a great, white fox, with markings of an unknown meaning.

From behind this ghostly maiden came the soldier, astride a silver, mounted wolf, his armor shining in the sun. He rose his sword, and roared in defiance to the Beasts and Disciples that threatened to swallow the light.

They charged, and in a massive display of strength, they pushed the Disciples and their abominations back, out of the mountains. And it was there, where that great battle took place, that we constructed this fort, as a symbol to our first, true victory against the Baron and his spawn.

And may those victories continue to amount."

((That would be great, thank you. I would play them kind of like NPCs anyways. I was thinking one older, one newer (to replace the older one). Would something like that be alright?))

((That's perfect, Raven, I'll reserve two spots for you.

I know what you mean, Thael. This has been brewing in my mind for the longest time but it was only recently that I finally figured out how to put it into words and make the plot comprehensible. And now that it's finally here and people are joining, I'm dying to start. Both of my characters are driving me insane but especially Miles. I can't wait to explore the relationship the Baron has with his Disciples compared to how the Lord views her Apostles. I can't wait to start. The best thing will be when the Disciples are finally revealed to the Apostles and they see how the Disciples are twisted, backwards versions of themselves. They never died in the first place, they're humans who have been taken over by the Baron and there is no way to free them from that curse without killing them. Even then, the Baron is likely to just bring them back as a Beast so which is the greater mercy there?

Beasts are the product of the Baron's power and are only held together with his power so purifying them would just kill them. However, the Lord could devote some of her energy into an already created life, creating something akin to an Apostle but as an animal. These would probably appear later on as gifts to exceptional Apostles or after the Disciples are revealed since the Apostles would need another leg up. The war is basically just an arms race so as soon as a new card is revealed, the other side will counter with something else. Tamed animals with pieces of the Lord's power are absolutely a possibility for the future of this RP.

I'm thinking we'll have to make this the OOC since there are waaaay too many things to discuss that would clog up the IC.

MMMMM I can't wait for this to start. As soon as we get more character sheets in, I'm going to begin. People will still be allowed to join but I want to get this train moving.

(( Are you saying

that Rylain

and Akane

have the possibility

some small chance

of being given

by a GOD

holy animals which reflect their own personalities

and will fight with them.

Are you saying this.

....

MUST. HAVE. NOW.

Also, I still can't decide. Based on this (and also, whether or not it happens), I still don't know if Akane should use a sword. In the original RP, she used a staff which could become a blade, but I want her to use a bow or staff in this now... but mounted combat with a blade is just as cool...

Halp. ))

((@Thael Cool! Which do you want, the Apostle or the Disciple?

Light magic beasts to tame? I MUST HAVE ONE. NAO >:C))

(( That depends, Esko:

A. Do you have a pre-determined personality in mind for either of them? Gender? History? Appearance?

B. What are your plans for them or are you just throwing them into the ring?

C. How do they interact with each other?

D. Do you have planned love interests for them or are they free to mingle? (Because then if I made Winlain, then the Disciple or the Apostle could be female, and end up with him. OH GOD THAT MEANS THAT AN ACTUAL EVIL DISCIPLE TWIN COULD BE BROUGHT TO HER SENSES BY HIM OR AN APOSTLE OF GOOD COULD TRY TO SAVE HIM NOOO YOU'RE BRINGING IDEAS INTO THIS.)

E. Do you have planned weapons for them? ))

Yes, I am saying that. Holy animals for the win! They'd be a force to be reckoned with for sure but the Apostles will have to have their butts handed to them first. The Lord wouldn't waste energy if they are already winning the war; her forces have to be at a disadvantage before she would try something new. She'd probably make them originally as joke to the Baron since the Disciples are parodies of the Apostles and her animals would be counterparts to Beasts.

If you want, you can change her weapon. The general idea is that powers and equipment are based off of the person they manifest for so it's up to you. You can also lean towards things that aren't inherently weapons like armor, shields, even articles of clothing depending on the function.

(( I think I'll keep the katana for this incarnation of Akane, because mounted sword combat is awesome. And it's hard to find a good translation for Ice Bow or a variation thereof. I'm serious. For once I had to use google translate, and all it has is a phonetic version of Ice which is Aisu or Yuki, and then something for bow like bo. It's weird. I suppose I need to learn more Japanese... Because I hate being illiterate in any tongue.

I really do.

If I'm going to use a culture, I want to be good at knowing about it. ))

(( Hm... well, I think Kōri no Yumi (Kōri being ice and Yumi being bow, so bow of ice[?]) is how it would be spelled. Then again, I don't know much about Japanese, so I could be wrong - I just took a second or two to look around in some sites and picked out what seemed to make a bit more sense than standard nonsense.

Other than that, I'm currently trying to think of a concept for my character. I was thinking of trying to connect or relate him to someone, but I need to discuss - mainly with you, Thael - and see if things would work out. If not, he'd simply be a normal, unrelated Disciple.))
