Currently: CLOSED until I get back FlameWingzz Name: Tide (Fajsuha) Gender: Male Species: Black-Capped Teimarr Age: 57 years Mate: Aura Piscari {White Dragon} [FlameWingzz] Personality: Optimist, kind, brave, knows when to joke around/be serious Appearance: Because of his father, Tide has developed faint, star-like spots on both the top and undersides of his wings that can glow, though the glow can only be seen in complete darkness. The glowing of these spots can be controlled individually, giving Tide the ability to "sparkle" his wings. Background: Tide's father was a Nebula dragon who disappeared shortly after the prophecy was first spoken, and the day before Tide was born. His mother, a Teimarr named Althea, was killed in the arena a few years ago. Skills/Talents: Incredible eyesight inherited from his father, ability to expertly mimic various sounds Other: Tide has an unusual love for the stars. For hours he will stare out the barred window of his cell in the arena at the night sky. Name: Aura (Fajsuha) Gender: Female Species: White Dragon Age: 46 Years Mate: <Tide (Piscari) {Black-Capped Teimarr} [FlameWingzz]> Personality: Very shy around others except for her mate, frightened very easily Appearance: A slight blue tint on the tips of her feathers and tip of the tail, instead of light tan like a normal White Dragon Background: Nothing is known about Aura's past. She has never met her own parents. Skills/Talents: Lots of speed and endurance, but fights weakly Other: Tide would not be alive today if it wasn't for Aura. She's healed many of his wounds from the arena battles. Name: Xeloh (Mudu) Gender: Female (I have an ungendered hatchling on my scroll that I hope will gender female) Species: Xenowyrm (Mageia) Age: 30 Years Mate: None at the moment Personality: Xeloh's personality varies from time to time depending on her situation. She is sometimes kind, sometimes irritated, sometimes brave, sometimes frightened easily. However, one thing that never changes is the fact that she is very romantic and often daydreams of having a mate. Also, unlike most dragons living in the arena, she believes that humans aren't heartless savages, but real beings with feelings. Appearance: Slightly more red than the average Mageia. She uses her powers to dull her color while humans are around to seem more boring and weak, so that they don't use her in battles. Background: Xeloh was stolen from her parents as an egg and raised without the knowledge of the average Mageia. Skills/Talents: Magic of the Magi Element Other: Xeloh has befriended a male guard named Josia, who will sometimes even sneak in extra food to her. This is the only human she reveals her powers to. Xeloh is pronounced "Zelloh", similar to how the X in Xenowyrm is pronounced like a Z. Unlike most Mageia Xenowyrms, Xeloh is about as wise as the average dragon (See above in background). However, she is still just as skilled with magic as a normal dragon of her species, though she never uses it in front of humans (except for changing her color. See above). She believes that if the humans learned of her power, she would be entered into the Ember Cup and die. Here are some examples of what Xeloh can do with her magic: -Shrink herself to have more space in her cell -Create a light source to make up for the fact that there are no windows in the cell -Talk telepathically to dragons in cells farther away than most can communicate telepathically -Levitate items that are either her size or smaller -Read minds (Usually only feelings and vague thoughts. For example: A dragon thinks about their father who went to many battles and has lots of scars. Xeloh can only tell they are thinking about one of their parents. Also, Xeloh does not use this much.) Some random info about Josia: -Bright orange hair, freckles -Extremely kind and caring not only to Xeloh, but to other dragons as well -May or may not be based off of someone Flame knows in real life. Esko_the_Wolf Name: Skaol Gender: Male Species: Guardian of Nature Age: 28, but summoned before the purge on dragons tongue.gif See the Background for more Mate: Iillia (Golden Wyvern) Personality: He's passionate, impulsive, and cocky. He tends to think once, attack, and keep attacking. If there is a target he can easily defeat, he will attack. If there is one he cannot easily defeat, he will attack. No matter the size and strength of the enemy, Skaol thinks he can take anyone on. He HATESHATESHATES being powerless, which is why he finds this setting absolute torture. He protects his friends and family with all his life, not caring to follow the rules as long as they are alive. Appearance: Instead of the normal lilac purple tail, his tail is a bright blue with a hint of green. Background: He was summoned by the three last kings of the Trio kingdoms, while they were young and foolish. The three kings summoned his egg and did not know what to with it, so they dropped it in a cave and went on with their lives. Then, a Magi found the egg, and was flabberrgasted at the powerful egg just being left there. Not being able to care for it himself, and not knowing anybody trustworthy, he placed it in a time stop field and hid it, hoping nobody would find it. Years later, humans found the egg while hunting. They took the egg out of the field, and as soon as it was taken out, little Skaol hatched. Skills/Talents: Amazing speed and willpower. He has good enough fighting skills Name: Lillia Gender: Female Species: Golden Wyvern Age: 25 Mate: Skaol (Golden Wyvern Personality: She's very shy and kind, not speaking much at all. She tends to freak out easier, which Skaol tries to help with by calming her down before a panic attack could get out of hand. She tends to have panic attacks often, which includes her shivering and screeching so the whole prison can hear. He likes playing and socializing more then fighting, and is often positive even through tough times. He is a hopeless romantic, wishing to find the right dragon for him. Appearance: Instead of a white fluffy fur, his is black with a blue base Background: He was the result of a Golden Shimmerscale breeding with a Shadow Lurker out of season. His father is still alive, sitting in a prision alone dwelling in the death of his mate. Lurk has had little commumication with his father, knowing who he was but not seeing him often. Skills/Talents: He can heal things with just water. However, this has limits. He cannot reverse death, and fixing bones/regrowing limbs is long and slow. She is a cheery wyrm, and an impish eater with a large appetite. The underfeeding is what affects her most, as she is almost always hungry. She often uses her hunger to her advantage, looking too weak to fight. This often works, but sometimes does not. She has a thick and strong bond with her sister, Xeloh. Bred for King's requested lineage) Age: 30 Mate: < Ramses (D'rachanya) {Guardian Brute Dragon} [makenziec123]> Personality: Kind and loving towards her hatchlings, but can seem quiet and depressed around other dragons. Appearance: Other than some scars on her arms, flanks, legs tail and one or two near her throat, she looks like any other Royal Blue. She also has some thick plates covering most of her body due to the fact that she is a mixed breed of Royal Blue and Plated Colossus dragons. Background: Artemis was born in captivity and is part of a sort of "breeding project" to make dragons that are both beautiful and harder to kill- making for a more enjoyable fight. She is the product of a Royal Blue dragon and a Plated Colossus Dragon, making her larger than average and giving her a thicker covering of armored scales all over her body. However, most previous generations in her lineage have been pure Royal Blue, so she maintains the usual Royal Blue coloring. Skills/Talents: She is fast and very muscular for her size, making it harder for the other dragons to catch and hurt her because she tends to just run around them in circles bitting and scratching in as many vital places as she can reach. However, she does tend to tire fairly quickly because her body is large. She is also harder to deal damaging blows to due to her thicker armor. It isn't as thick as a pure-blooded Colossus armoring, but it is pure enough to have saved her life multiple times. She tries to end fights as quickly as possible. Other: She once came very close to escaping from the Arena, but was easily caught. However, they decided not to kill her right away because she was a vital part of the King's breeding project. Instead, they would force to either die at her mate's hands or kill her mate herself. Either way, she would be punished, and they could simply chalk it up to making sure the breeding project's line remained "unhindered". Name: Ramses (D'rachanya) Gender: Male Species: Guardian Brute Dragon (Breed created for use in Arena. Part of King's requested lineage) Age: 35 Mate: < Artemis (D'rachanya) {Blue Colossus Dragon} [makenziec123]> Personality: He is very protective and also quiet most of the time. He has more or less accepted his fate of dying in the arena but he also won't go down without a fight. He instills this fighting spirit as best as he can in his daughter, but even when she was a hatchling he knew that his daughter had inherited her mother's quick mind and sharp tongue. Appearance: He is missing some parts of his smaller-than-average tail shield and several areas are burned or scorched all across his body from fighting in close quarters. His coloring is also spattered with some purple undertones, as his lineage contains Brute dragon. This gives him larger, stronger horns from the Brute and more "padding" around his brain in the form of a thicker skull that can absorb more damage. Background: Saphique was also born in captivity and is part of a "breeding project" to make dragons that are both beautiful and harder to kill. He feels the deaths of every dragon he has caused heavily weighing on his shoulders. He is a guardian dragon, built to defend his kind- not slice it to ribbons with his own claws. However, being built as a fighter doesn't mean you have to be smart, so he is of slightly below average intelligence at best. Skills/Talents: Using his tail-shield as his primary defense and attack, he charges forward like a bull with his shield held in front of him like a battering ram. He is not the smartest dragon in the arena and he knows it, but his strength and ferocity are unmatched by any opponent so far in battle. He uses the large size and added perks of being a mixed breed to his advantage, not being afraid to headbutt the opposing dragon if he is pinned down or swinging his tail around like a morning star. Other: He has always wanted a daughter, but so far he and Artemis have only borne sons. He doesn't know it, but his mate attempted (and failed) to escape, so once their final egg hatches with their first and only daughter inside, he will be forced into the arena with his mate. Name: Ziaska the III (D'rachanya) Gender: female Species: Royal Guardian Dragon (Breed created for use in Arena. Commissioned by: King of Osobania.) Age: (hatches during RP) Mate: Not Yet Assigned Personality: She is innocent at first, but quickly adapts to her world. Appearance: Zia is the peak of the breeding project's current goal- a beautiful dragon who will fight and win with ease. She maintains the beautiful coloring and pattern of a Royal Blue dragon with the same cat-like orange eyes both of her parents have. However, her body type resembles more of her father's Guardian Dragon roots than her mother's Royal Blue ones. Zia has thick silver and blue plating covering most of her body, while her silver ram-like horns are thicker and more ridged than the usual Guardian Dragon from her father's Brute. Her tail shield is about average for a Guardian Dragon in size, but for her the shield is much heavier due to a lack of proper tail muscles which she did not fully inherit from her father. The delicate silver swirls that decorate most Royal Blue dragons twine elegantly along her muscular arms, legs, flanks, and wings, climbing up her neck and stopping just short of her eyes. Both sides of her face are decorated by two separate swirls that merge together on the end of her snout. On her shield, the beautiful silver appears to be etched with vines that start out as the same royal blue as her main scales, then change color from purple to green to light blue as the swirls spiral out towards the ends of the shield. In the right lighting, her scales will reflect light with a mixture of purple, green, dark blue, and light blue- a result of the combination of scales from each of her most recent ancestors. She has a few small spikes on her tail near the base of her shield from her Brute side, but unfortunately her skull is of about average thickness so she can't headbutt as hard or as frequently as her father in battle. Background: Ziaska the III of D'rachanya, or Zia, as her father prefers to call her, was raised in the harsh environment and deplorable conditions of the Arena and its cages. Her mother died when she was very young so she doesn't really remember her, but she knows that her father loved her very much and misses her every day. Her father spends as much time as he can teaching her how to fight, but still Zia finds time to gossip with the other hatchlings and adults around her. She heard about the prophecy at a very early age, always remembering it and wondering who would be her savior. Other: Due to the fact that the dragons created by this breeding project are being made so powerful, once at least one male and at least one female are born from a single pair, the two parents are forced into combat against each other. This way the living parent can be forced to breed with a new, stronger mate, while the living children from the previous pairing can continue the lineage. Or at least, that's the official story. Zia has no idea that her father was forced to kill her mother. However, she was able to inherit her mother's sharp mind despite only knowing her briefly. ForestDragon (ForestDragon270270 on DC) Name: Khione (Last name: Starflight) Gender: Female Species: Royal Blue Age: 40 Mate: None yet Personality: While she might seem distant or grumpy to some, she opens up a lot once you get to know her, showing a friendlier, even a bit silly personality. To someone that she likes, she is a devoted friend, and will be there by your side when you need her. However, if you get on her bad side, she can be a bad enemy to have. Her main flaw is her stubborness, which often leads her into difficult situations. She is also a strong believer in the prophecy, although she often wishes that it would hurry up and come true. Appearance: Unlike most Royal Blues, which are mostly blue with a bit of silver, she is mostly silver, with blue stripes snaking over her legs and sides. She also has a long scar over her neck, a reminder of a battle in which she nearly died. Background: She doesn't remember her parents much, although she is certain that her father is dead, and her mother a prisoner. Occasionally, she will remember a brief moment of her childhood, although she rarely speaks of it to other dragons. From what she does remember, her father was a Silver dragon, (which explains her coloring,) and her mother was a Royal Blue. Skills/Talents: She is a strong fighter, having been trained by the nobleman who had owned her father before. While she doesn't have very thick scales to protect her, she is incredible fast and agile on the battlefield, with her usual tricks being to swiftly go for a weak spot while her opponent tries in vain to strike her back. Other: She hates having to kill other dragons, and is especially scarred by the looks on the faces of her opponents before they die. Because of this, she tries to end her battles as quick as possible. Name: Heidrun (Blacktalon) Gender: Male Species: Ember Age: 52 Mate: None yet, but is looking for one. Personality: He is a bit of a tough-guy, not afraid to fight anyone, and often with a bit too much pride. However, he does have a soft side, and often looks out for the weaker or younger dragons he comes across. Usually, he is easy to get along with, but he does have a habit of taking dislike to someone for hardly any reason at all. Just don't give him a reason to dislike you, or he will most likely make things unpleasant for you. His close friends, however, know that he can be very sweet at times. Appearance: He is on the handsome side, with bright 'veins' of fire that burn brighter when he's angry or in a fight. His scales give off warmth, and are a bit on the darker side. He also has bright green eyes, unlike the usual fiery colors of a normal Ember's eyes. Background: His parents were both killed in the arena very soon after he hatched, though he remembers them both vividly. He was raised by his uncle and two cousins, one of which he does not remember fondly. Skills/Talents: His main skill is his strength, he is incredibly strong for one of his species, due to him being raised in a family of Stone and Magma dragons. His scales are the average strength, but he does have the ability to superheat them, although it does use a lot of energy. Other: He is looking for a mate, someone to make him less lonely and more happy with the life he's stuck with. Cendres (LadyofAshes on DC) Name: Bloody Black Tea Gender: Male Species: Black Tea Age: 21 Mate: None Personality: Bloody Black Tea is a very quiet and calm dragon. He likes to be alone and think about whatever comes to his mind. Therefore, he's not really social or aggressive, and the arena is definitely not a place where he should be. Other dragons often think he's just a supid bragger, but he's really not. The way he talks is weird, it's true, but Bloody Black Tea know better than anyone what are his strenghts and his weaknesses. God know how, he has learned a different langage, spoken in a land far away from the Dragon's kingdom. When he uses it, that means he's not going well. Appearance: He's smaller than the males of his species. His scales aren't red, more like fading pink. He's so pale that you could think he's sick. But the underside of his wings, and his tail, are pure darkness. Background: Bloody Black Tea has never seen the wild world. He's born in captivity, and just reached his adult size. Skills/Talents: No fighting skills. But Bloody Black Tea knows a lot of thing, and can think quite fast. Other: He really likes tea, and herbal drinks. Like... A lot. And butterflies too. Name: Under-The-Moon Gender: Female Species: Bleeding Moon Age: 35 Mate: None Personality: Bleeds under the Moon is a very aggressive dragon. She always growls when a living being tries to approach. Therefore, she's very solitary, and even disdainful. The only ones she respects are those who have bravely fallen under her claws. She loves a good fight, and can be very dangerous. The fact that she's only spared so she could battle doesn't bother her more than that. That doesn't mean she wouldn't eat a human if she had the occasion. She's not insane, despite her aggressivity. She doesn't like killing other dragons. She like fighting, that's all. Appearance: The blue on her wings and her belly is like frozen water, and the rest of her body is darker, more like the depth of a lake. The red dots on her back are so dark that they almost seem black. 1010nightflyer Name: Fluttering Swallow Gender: female Species: White Dragon, also half Daydream Age: 72 years Mate: Seventh House of the Night; formerly Brightwings Aerialis, who since died in the arena. Personality: caring, kind, and peaceful. Appearance: slightly bluer than normal due to her Daydream heritage. Very long tail and dexterous hands. Background: Fluttering Swallow is not the standard arena dragon. She is "employed" as a healer for a rich human but is kept as a standard fighter. She used to live free, roaming all the lands searching for any in need. Brightwings was the love of her life. The young romance that broke her heart was stopped in its trails by her capture. Although she does not know what happened to Brightwings, the child they had together was sold before she could be named. Seve loves and cares for her, but her heart is empty. Minions the human who owns her posed as injured nomads and captured her and her mate. As she never enters the arena, she knows very little about fighting and lives in perpetual dread of being sold. Skills/Talents: Her Daydream abilities include dream casting, distracting, and sleep casting. However, these are of little use due to magical protective helmets that her captors wear. Mini-Profile of Brightwings Aerialis: Gender: male Species: Ridgewing with messy lineage Age: [deceased] 73 years Personality: fun loving, perky, and bright Appearance: inherited Ridgewing body with slightly bronzed scales. Background: formerly domesticated but was released because he begged his former owner to so that he could be with Fluttering. He died in the arena, by the reigning champion's claws. Name: Seventh House of the Night Gender: male Species: white dragon, also half Daydream Age: 43 years Mate: Fluttering Swallow Personality: Naturally optimistic, Seve has been beaten down by years of capture. He tries to heal others voluntarily, and sometimes against orders, but many are beyond his aid. Appearance: Unusally wide white wings give him an angelic appearance; his lack of a usual ruff and its replacement with a white mane give him grace. Altogether, he is fine and handsome. Background: All his adult life he has been a healer and breeder. He hates the dirt, the uncleanliness of his cage and whenever possible, orders, "for optimal performance and health," the cage of a sick dragon cleaned. He vowed to make the world a better place as a hatchling and it stings him that now, dragonkind suffers more than ever. Someday, he knows, freedom will be his and he may heal in peace. Skills/Talents: He has virtually no Daydream abilities, but the mindaltering part of his parentage gives him great healing abilities with mind, soul, and heart troubles. Windra Name: Mie and Uki Gender: Female Species: Hooktalon Age: 34 Mate: None Personality: Mie, the head on the left, is sarcastic and hostile. She doesn't think highly of anyone other than herself and her counterpart. Uki, on the other hand, is oddly cheerful, excitable and nice. However, Uki is also the shyer and less direct of the two. She is terrified of strangers, so Mie does most of the talking (despite being sarcastic and hostile). Appearance: Uki has shorter horns than Mie; Mie has cold blue eyes while Uki sports yellow ones that flicker like candlelight. Background. Mie and Uki's parents died about ten years after they hatched, so they were forced into a crowded cell. Life went on as usual... until their ability (seen below) manifested itself at an older age. The humans noticed, and were intrigued. The duo was moved to an empty cell to be observed, and rather mistreated. This experience affected Uki the most. In fact, she was never the same after the experience. Mie managed to remain her cold, aloof self, much stronger of mind than her counterpart. (They were taken back to the original cell few years later.) Skills/Talents: Their fighting skills are just decent, they have no particularly enhanced senses, but their deformity keeps them alive in a fight. Mie's hide is cold, almost numbing, and Uki's is just heated enough to give a burn on contact. The contact must be prolonged (about six seconds), but it's still noteworthy, and useful for reasons related to strategy. Other: -Uki has a strange fear of water. This has led the humans to use a pail of it to threaten them. -Their handlers use a fireproof rope and clamp due to Uki's heat. Probably unnecessary, but they take no chances. -Mie is fiercely protective of Uki, so while fighting, she unintentionally leaves their left side open to attack. Name: Elly (Che) Gender: Female Species: Undine Dragon Age: 22 (hatched two years after Komaa did) Mate: Nope Personality: Elly is a bundle of nervous energy at all times. Practically scared of her own shadow, she is absolutely terrified of humans and dragons alike, and often quivers at the sight of a stranger. It is extremely hard to earn her trust-- yet once one does, she is absolutely, devotedly loyal towards them. Appearance: Elly's eyes, on the other hand, are a pale yellow color that glows in the dark. In addition, the hair that makes up her mane is rather curly. Background: After being torn away from her beloved sister and mother, not seeing but hearing the news of the latter's death, Elly has never been quite the same. She was nervous before, but these things just sort of... traumatized her. But instead of giving up, like her sister, she still retains a pathetic amount of hope that crushes her with each defeat. She now spends her time stiff with fear, glancing back and forth with distrust. Skills/Talents: If she were to be reunited with a river, she would have the ability to completely blend in with the water (save for her eyes) and swim with surprising speed. But as-is now, her fighting skills aren't bad, and she can see in the dark. Other: - Elly misses her lost relatives dearly, and can sometimes be found sitting in the corner, crying mournfully. - She's at the farthest cage from her sister, which explains why they haven't found each other. Name: Fidgeting (Flame) Gender: Male Species: Red Dragon Age: 38 Mate: Not really, and he wants one, but his lack of focus has made him unsuccessful thus far. Personality: He's a complete and utter scatterbrain who can't sit still. Often called "Flame," he will constantly pace the cell's floor restlessly while talking to dragons, despite a lack of room. Otherwise, he's extremely cheerful (if not too impatient), and speaks gruffly but kindly to every dragon he meets. Appearance: Just like a typical Red, aside from one broken horn that was caused by an accident when he was little. Background: Flame was born from two Reds who were unfortunately full of as much bursting energy as he is, which accounts for a lot of his behavior. When they died to the arena years back, he was mortified, and forced himself to deny the incident ever even occurred. He still makes up stories about their "disappearance" and tells them to each dragon he meets. Skills/Talents: He generates a comfortable, soothing warmth most of the time, but he can increase the intensity of this heat until it is near unbearable. He has good fighting skills, too. Other: - Flame likes to tell terrible jokes. - He has never been able to fly before, so it is one of his dearest wishes. Dawnbane Name: Warpaint Gender: Female Species: Anagallis Dragon Age: 27 Mate: No mate Personality: Optimistic, looking at the bright side in even the worst situations. Overly protective. Appearance: Scar across back. Otherwise normal. Background: Warpaint's owner was executed for smuggling dragons out into the wild. Warpaint was only a hatchling, therefore not having much memory of it. When being recaptured she was slashed across the back with a sword, causing her scar. Skills/Talents: Skilled flyer, good at sensing magic. Other: Warpaint can't stand the sight of blood, and is horrified by the red room. RagnorokX Name:Psychedelic Colors(Psy & C) Gender:Male Species:Duotone Dragon Age:21 Mate:(None Currently) Personality: One head(Psy) is arrogant and keen to rush into a fight, but a wimp if he thinks hes outmatched. The other© Is calm and collected, but will never back down unless his life depends on it. However, they are both shy when it comes to regular talk. Appearance: For some reason, the red of Psy goes past the halfway part. Background:Within days of his life, his parents were pitted in the arena, with Emorn(his father) sacrificing himself for Menasa, his mother, but to no avail. Skill/Talents: Like a two-headed lindwurm(as in his mother), Psy and C are very seperated and can do completely different things at the same time. Psy is a light sleeper, while C seems allergic to asleep. However, dont try walking C up. Other: Likes pygmies. Tomato_Juice Name: Luca (Ruloth) Gender: Female Breed: Golden Wyvern Age: 17 Personality: Fearless. Nothing can possibly scare her. She's wild and adventurous too, often going on extreme journeys to the unknown before she was captured. She is also extremely intelligent, and often makes up for her small size and average fighting skills with her wit. She's not the most sociable one, often keeping to herself. However, with the few dragons she's close to, she treats them like brothers and sisters and is fiercely protective of them. Appearance: Luca is rather small for her breed, but she is arguably the most beautiful dragon in this land, many dragons would say. Her scales give of a radiant shine and she almost seems to glow with golden light. Background: Luca was born to valuable parents. Her mother is a Golden Wyvern and her father a Gold Shimmer Scale. Some claim she got her mother's general beauty and her father's scales. When they were captured by the evil humans, her father tried to protect Luca and her mother but was badly bashed in the head. Now, he is severely injured though alive in a different cell and Luca often worries about him. Her mother fled far away during the capture to the unknown woods. The three are still looking for one another. Skills/Talents: Her wit, and the power to manipulate people's minds. (Not by magic. I'm not making her Godmode-ish. She doesn't magically read their minds or use telekinesis or whatever, it's just that she's so intelligent she knows how to behave to get what she wants.) Other: I would like a cell mate for her. Requirements: That dragon must be nice to her. Luca is fiercely protective of and close to her cell mates. I wouldn't like it to be one-sided. It you want them to get romantic and make eggs, the age gap cannot be more than 10 years. Darkstorm34 Name: Palan (Quin) Gender: Male Species: Pyralspite (Almandine) Age: 34 Mate: Formerly a Female Green Copper named Spirit, died in the Cup. Personality: Palan has an attitude, and is prone to hissing or roaring at humans and sometimes even other dragons that come near him. However, if someone actually makes an effort to talk to him and become his friend, that attitude slips away, and he'd do anything for them. He occasionally, however, will still sit and mope in the corner of his cages with "no known explanation." Appearance: The spike on the end of Palan's tail is sharp. Whether this was his doing or natural is unknown, but he uses it to his advantage in combat. Background: Palan was captured in the wild and brought alongside his mate, Spirit to be sold. Palan did not get sold, however, Spirit did, and died in the Cup. For this reason, he is bitter and prefers not to talk to people. Especially about the Cup. Skills/Talents: Palan has a sharp spike on the end of his tail, plus extra sharp claws. His flames are so hot, they can harm even the toughest of dragons with them. He can read the stars from his experience living in the wild, and has a very good sense of direction. Other: -Palan is a very skilled fighter from living in the wild almost all his life. -He is affected negatively by water, often cringing away from it. Thus, the humans use this as a way to control him. ForNarniaMC Name: Goldron (De Dragnaire) Gender: Male Species: Gold Age: 25 years Mate: Nope Open though Personality: He is bold, brave, wise and just. When he is angry, he would roar and glare at his enemy. However, since lots of humans tried to kill him before, he became too careful and is usually quiet. He loves food and will beg earnestly for it if he is ravenous. Appearance: He looks like any other gold dragon, but on his forehead, there is a small, red gem that glows brightly. He also have a small chip on his wing and a noticeable scar across his right eye. Background: When he was newly hatched, he did not cry like any other dragon will do. His gem on his forehead shone brightly like the sun. He learnt lot's of things quickly. When he grew into an adult, he spent most of his time outdoors hunting and enjoying the atmosphere. One day, he was chased by a group of armed humans. He tried to fight them off, resulting in his face scarred and one of his wing chipped. From then on, Goldron became very quiet and mysterious. He is still hunted for his scales. Skills/Talents: He is good at solving puzzles. He is okay at fighting, although he rather be kept peaceful. He is also a good hunter and an eater, since he loves food. Capella Name: Shard of Sky [designated by humans] [insists on being called "Shard"] Gender: Female Species: Striped (black variation) / Nebula Age: 20 Mate: None Personality: Shard was born into a life on a timer. Living knowing she would be brutally murdered when she finally reached adulthood has shaped Shard greatly. For one, the hybrid dragoness has learned to occupy herself with little. Her imagination is extensive, and Shard has become pretty good at blocking out everything else to leave only her thoughts. For another, Shard shies away from making friends, having seen plenty go into the arena never to return. Shard struggles to be optimistic, and there are many days when she's on the cusp of no longer caring. Deep down though, there's a sliver of hope, a glow of resilience, a spark of empathy. It's hard to locate, but it becomes apparent at times when Shard expresses joy at getting a little extra food, or when she prays through the night for those dragons unlucky enough to be taken into the Arena. After all, only a dragon with endurance would have made it this far. Appearance: Having had a Nebula father, Shard expresses some traits of the species, while mostly resembling a black variation of a Striped dragon. She's discovered that she can place points of blue and red light on her wings, supposedly like stars. Her breeder named her Shard of Sky for this unusual trait. Indeed, the small dragon is nice to look at, but too limber to be expected to last very long in the Ember Cup. Background: Striped dragons bought a lot of interest from the humans when it was discovered that breeding them with certain other species produced differently-colored Striped dragons. Occasionally, hybrids like Shard appeared, taking traits from the non-Striped parent. Breeders took a great interest in trying to figure out what Striped x breed resulted in what, and Shard of Sky was merely a by-product of that. Shard didn't know her parents very well. Her Nebula father was supposedly sent to the Arena soon after her mother became pregnant, and her Striped mother was bought by another breeder. Shard came to be friends with some of the many children of the Striped that Shard's breeder owned, though they were often sold off, or worse, sent to the Arena. Shard suspected due to her appearance that the breeder might breed her, but he never actually got a chance. One year, the man lost a lot of money on a bet during the Cup, so he had to sell a lot of his dragons to make up his debt. Among them was Shard. She was taken from her more homely set of caverns and sent to the community pits, where, nearing twenty years, she awaiting being put up for auction. Finally, the dreaded hatchday arrived. Shard waited for that time before the Ember Cup began, wondering if she would survive this year during the auction or be sent to her death. Either way, Shard knew that she was doomed now. Skills/Talents: Due to her light weight, and lack of heavy scales, spines, spikes, or horns, Shard can be quite quick. Her sellers will no doubt try to promote her as a swift dragon. Also, the black portion of her wings function like a Nebula's, in that they can produce light at Shard's will. Other: Shard of Sky was born into captivity, so she doesn't know what the outside world looks like, or how to survive in the wild. flame249 (Reega249 on DC) Name: Alia (Sweetsong) Gender: Female Species: Pink Age: 20 Mate: None Personality: Alia is fierce and angry at all times and tends to berserk in battles, she doesn't have loyalties, ties or a mate, and has no qualms about killing. She does have a soft spot for hatchlings though. Appearance: Background: Alia had been captured quite young and was malnourished and neglected through most of her hatchling years, when she grew older she was trained to fight in The Arena, so thats really all she's good at. Otherwise, just post your main RP in the freeforums section. You don't have to get it approved if you do so. Well, I posted the OoC here because it's not really the roleplay itself. Also, I don't want to have the RP in the freeforums section because one, it's a Dragon Cave RP, and two, I don't believe the RPs there are seen as often. (Well, if you're battling another person in the RP, that's a little different. If that happens, the other person doesn't have the right to kill your dragon. That would remove that dragon from the RP. You don't have the right to kill their dragon either. So, all fights with other RPers should end in both dragons surviving, unless you let your dragon die or they let theirs die. Also, the max of four dragons means that each person can have up to 4 dragons in the RP at once. And yes, you can have hybrid dragons. However, being built as a fighter doesn't mean you have to be smart, so he is of slightly below average intelligence at best. Skills/Talents: Using his tail-shield as his primary defense and attack, he charges forward like a bull with his shield held in front of him like a battering ram. He is not the smartest dragon in the arena and he knows it, but his strength and ferocity are unmatched by any opponent so far in battle. He uses the large size and added perks of being a mixed breed to his advantage, not being afraid to headbutt the opposing dragon if he is pinned down or swinging his tail around like a morning star. Other: He has always wanted a daughter, but so far he and Artemis have only borne sons. He doesn't know it, but his mate attempted (and failed) to escape, so once their final egg hatches with their first and only daughter inside, he will be forced into the arena with his mate. However, her body type resembles more of her father's Guardian Dragon roots than her mother's Royal Blue ones. Zia has thick silver and blue plating covering most of her body, while her silver ram-like horns are thicker and more ridged than the usual Guardian Dragon from her father's Brute. Her tail shield is about average for a Guardian Dragon in size, but for her the shield is much heavier due to a lack of proper tail muscles which she did not fully inherit from her father. The delicate silver swirls that decorate most Royal Blue dragons twine elegantly along her muscular arms, legs, flanks, and wings, climbing up her neck and stopping just short of her eyes. Both sides of her face are decorated by two separate swirls that merge together on the end of her snout. On her shield, the beautiful silver appears to be etched with vines that start out as the same royal blue as her main scales, then change color from purple to green to light blue as the swirls spiral out towards the ends of the shield. In the right lighting, her scales will reflect light with a mixture of purple, green, dark blue, and light blue- a result of the combination of scales from each of her most recent ancestors. She has a few small spikes on her tail near the base of her shield from her Brute side, but unfortunately her skull is of about average thickness so she can't headbutt as hard or as frequently as her father in battle. Background: Ziaska the III of D'rachanya, or Zia, as her father prefers to call her, was raised in the harsh environment and deplorable conditions of the Arena and its cages. Her mother died when she was very young so she doesn't really remember her, but she knows that her father loved her very much and misses her every day. Her father spends as much time as he can teaching her how to fight, but still Zia finds time to gossip with the other hatchlings and adults around her. She heard about the prophecy at a very early age, always remembering it and wondering who would be her savior. Other: Due to the fact that the dragons created by this breeding project are being made so powerful, once at least one male and at least one female are born from a single pair, the two parents are forced into combat against each other. This way the living parent can be forced to breed with a new, stronger mate, while the living children from the previous pairing can continue the lineage. Or at least, that's the official story. Zia has no idea that her father was forced to kill her mother. However, she was able to inherit her mother's sharp mind despite only knowing her briefly. Username: ForestDragon (on forums, on the site i'm ForestDragon270270) Name: Khione (Last name: Starflight) Gender: Female Species: Royal Blue Age: 40 Mate: None yet Personality: While she might seem distant or grumpy to some, she opens up a lot once you get to know her, showing a friendlier, even a bit silly personality. To someone that she likes, she is a devoted friend, and will be there by your side when you need her. However, if you get on her bad side, she can be a bad enemy to have. Her main flaw is her stubborness, which often leads her into difficult situations. She is also a strong believer in the prophecy, although she often wishes that it would hurry up and come true. Appearance: Unlike most Royal Blues, which are mostly blue with a bit of silver, she is mostly silver, with blue stripes snaking over her legs and sides. She also has a long scar over her neck, a reminder of a battle in which she nearly died. Background: She doesn't remember her parents much, although she is certain that her father is dead, and her mother a prisoner. Occasionally, she will remember a brief moment of her childhood, although she rarely speaks of it to other dragons. From what she does remember, her father was a Silver dragon, (which explains her coloring,) and her mother was a Royal Blue. Skills/Talents: She is a strong fighter, having been trained by the nobleman who had owned her father before. While she doesn't have very thick scales to protect her, she is incredible fast and agile on the battlefield, with her usual tricks being to swiftly go for a weak spot while her opponent tries in vain to strike her back. Other: She hates having to kill other dragons, and is especially scarred by the looks on the faces of her opponents before they die. Because of this, she tries to end her battles as quick as possible. Username: ForestDragon(270270) Name: Heidrun (Blacktalon) Gender: Male Species: Ember Age: 52 Mate: None yet, but is looking for one. Personality: He is a bit of a tough-guy, not afraid to fight anyone, and often with a bit too much pride. However, he does have a soft side, and often looks out for the weaker or younger dragons he comes across. Usually, he is easy to get along with, but he does have a habit of taking dislike to someone for hardly any reason at all. Just don't give him a reason to dislike you, or he will most likely make things unpleasant for you. His close friends, however, know that he can be very sweet at times. Appearance: He is on the handsome side, with bright 'veins' of fire that burn brighter when he's angry or in a fight. His scales give off warmth, and are a bit on the darker side. He also has bright green eyes, unlike the usual fiery colors of a normal Ember's eyes. Background: His parents were both killed in the arena very soon after he hatched, though he remembers them both vividly. He was raised by his uncle and two cousins, one of which he does not remember fondly. Skills/Talents: His main skill is his strength, he is incredibly strong for one of his species, due to him being raised in a family of Stone and Magma dragons. His scales are the average strength, but he does have the ability to superheat them, although it does use a lot of energy. Other dragons often think he's just a supid bragger, but he's really not. The way he talks is weird, it's true, but Bloody Black Tea know better than anyone what are his strenghts and his weaknesses. God know how, he has learned a different langage, spoken in a land far away from the Dragon's kingdom. When he uses it, that means he's not going well. Appearance: He's smaller than the males of his species. His scales aren't red, more like fading pink. He's so pale that you could think he's sick. But the underside of his wings, and his tail, are pure darkness. Background: Bloody Black Tea has never seen the wild world. He's born in captivity, and just reached his adult size. Skills/Talents: No fighting skills. But Bloody Black Tea knows a lot of thing, and can think quite fast. Other: He really likes tea, and herbal drinks. Like... A lot. And butterflies too. Other dragons often think he's just a supid bragger, but he's really not. The way he talks is weird, it's true, but Bloody Black Tea know better than anyone what are his strenghts and his weaknesses. God know how, he has learned a different langage, spoken in a land far away from the Dragon's kingdom. When he uses it, that means he's not going well. Appearance: He's smaller than the males of his species. His scales aren't red, more like fading pink. He's so pale that you could think he's sick. But the underside of his wings, and his tail, are pure darkness. Background: Bloody Black Tea has never seen the wild world. He's born in captivity, and just reached his adult size. Skills/Talents: No fighting skills. But Bloody Black Tea knows a lot of thing, and can think quite fast. Other: He really likes tea, and herbal drinks. Like... A lot. And butterflies too. She always growls when a living being tries to approach. Therefore, she's very solitary, and even disdainful. The only ones she respects are those who have bravely fallen under her claws. She loves a good fight, and can be very dangerous. The fact that she's only spared so she could battle doesn't bother her more than that. That doesn't mean she wouldn't eat a human if she had the occasion. She's not insane, despite her aggressivity. She doesn't like killing other dragons. She like fighting, that's all. Appearance: The blue on her wings and her belly is like frozen water, and the rest of her body is darker, more like the depth of a lake. Personality: caring, kind, and peaceful. Appearance: slightly bluer than normal due to her Daydream heritage. Very long tail and dexterous hands. Background: Fluttering Swallow is not the standard arena dragon. She is "employed" as a healer for a rich human but is kept as a standard fighter. She used to live free, roaming all the lands searching for any in need. Brightwings was the love of her life. The young romance that broke her heart was stopped in its trails by her capture. Although she does not know what happened to Brightwings, the child they had together was sold before she could be named. Seve loves and cares for her, but her heart is empty. Minions the human who owns her posed as injured nomads and captured her and her mate. As she never enters the arena, she knows very little about fighting and lives in perpetual dread of being sold. Skills/Talents: Her Daydream abilities include dream casting, distracting, and sleep casting. However, these are of little use due to magical protective helmets that her captors wear. He tries to heal others voluntarily, and sometimes against orders, but many are beyond his aid. Appearance: Unusally wide white wings give him an angelic appearance; his lack of a usual ruff and its replacement with a white mane give him grace. Altogether, he is fine and handsome. Background: All his adult life he has been a healer and breeder. He hates the dirt, the uncleanliness of his cage and whenever possible, orders, "for optimal performance and health," the cage of a sick dragon cleaned. He vowed to make the world a better place as a hatchling and it stings him that now, dragonkind suffers more than ever. Someday, he knows, freedom will be his and he may heal in peace. Skills/Talents: He has virtually no Daydream abilities, but the mindaltering part of his parentage gives him great healing abilities with mind, soul, and heart troubles. Then the humans chose another, Seve, so that they could sell the offspring as healers to other arenas. They both are moved to the cages of dragons in need of healing or the arena if the fighters need healing, but they don't fight themselves.
