Most people on DC will have a mixture of Caveborn, AP snags, gifts, and trades.

A lot of newer members don't have forum accounts yet. Me being an exception, because I joined for the role-plays.

 

I tend to stalk the AP. In fact, most of my CBs are from the AP too! Although I do have a couple of breeding projects and I pounce on gifts when I see them, the majority of my dragons are straight from the AP. My first four were, no doubt about that.

 

You could change the question slightly; 'Where were your first dragons from?' This would include more of the older members, of which there are many.

Mine are a mixture, most of my freezies are messy AP Catches, the adults are a mix of CB and lineages AP finds, gifts, and cave steals. My CB Gold and Silver were both gifts, most of my Holidays (with the exception of my Hollies and Mistletoes) were AP finds. All of my whites are mixes of AP finds and Gifts, I used to pride myself of having tons of CB dergs, but now? I don't care. I have a lot of Messines for freezing, and some messy golds to (try) and make babies of ad gifts for noobs.

Sometimes, some really strange things happen. I know that at least one of my CB Snow Angels was an AP find.

I had someone gift me a few hatchlings, but I get all my eggs from the AP.
