Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) I like silver prizes best with Guardians. This 3G I bred shows off both. Click me! In fact, Guardians look good with all prizes. Please breed guardians with everything. However, Undine and Solstice are also super nice with Silver prizes. Bronze Tins look really good with Spessartines, but a word of warning: as Pyralspites are a relatively new breed they'll be painful to get a prize out of. Also, Despips look good with Bronzes of both breeds. As for gold prizes, I think GoNs, Radiant Angels, and Nebulas are the best fit. Blue and green nebs for Shimmers, red and purple for Tins. Posted January 20, 2015 I didn't win any prize, but I'll share my ideas anyway So I imagine Silver prizes with female Daydreams or male Storms - Silver linings on clouds! I could also imagine them with all sorts of Seasonals, e.g. Gold prizes with Winters, Silver prizes with Springs and Summers ... Also, Gold-horned Tangars, female Fleshcrownes and Nhiostrifes, and female Waterhorses with Gold and Silver prizes! Share this post Link to post
Posted January 20, 2015 Not a winner, but my favourite prizes are probably silver tinsels. I especially love them with reds, royal blues and gold wyvern. I would also love to see a lineage with earth dragons. Silver prizes would probably look great with pyralspites too (pyral look great with almost everything!) but the problem with newer dragons is that it's almost impossible to have the mate's breed out of them. I'd really like a silver/almandine EG lineage. Dreams are free I think Gold is the hardest colour to pair with, but I like the Shims with Radiant angels, Turps, Waters, Green Coppers. Reds. Royal Crimsons. Gold. A lot of things are OK, but there are few things that make me go wow. Bronze is lovely, and goes with a lot of things. Pillows are especially nice I think. I'm not a fan of Blusang with any of the prizes despite how often it seems to be bred; I don't think the colours really go with any of them very well. EDIT: I second breed Guardians with everything! Posted January 22, 2015 Posting this here for anyone who wasn't following the raffle thread: Thought this might be helpful for prize owners (and those who get to request 2Gs from their choice of mate) who are trying to decide what to breed their babies to when they get them I've done this for myself before, where I photoshop one breed (usually a prize or silver/gold metallic) with 10 - 20 of my favorite breeds to create a visual that helps me easily see which ones look best together...but I decided it might be useful for other people to see the prizes (both types, all three colors) with every possible breed combination. It took awhile (good lord, I didn't realize there would be roughly 120 possible combos O_O) but I'm pretty sure I'm finally finished! I'm a bit particular about everything needing to be the same except for the non-prize mate, so ignore the fact that all the prizes seem to be named 'Hypnotizing' and that I didn't change the direction of the stair for certain genders that would normally only be able to go the other way. The charts are just meant to be a visual for people to see how the color combinations look.
