About Rules Know-how on Voting Current Entries Past winners About Inspired by Description Day, this is a newly run contest to acknowledge all the brilliantly written descriptions out there! What's there to gain from it? Well, your fellow users will be able to see your incredible writing skills and bragging rights There are three categories: Most Original, Funniest, and Best Overall. Attention: I love the idea for additional categories and would love to have one extra such description every other month - What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas for categories? Please let me know in the thread. Do you think YOUR description is awesome? Think it deserves recognition? Go ahead and nominate it! Rules * You may enter one dragon description per category (This rule applies to only nominating your own dragons) * You may enter another user's description if you think it's good enough and deserves recognition * Please make sure your scroll name is visible on dragon pages if you wish to submit your own dragons! Posted March 3, 2014 Two heads up: 1 - This month on the 15th the descripdoom thread has announced an official "review day" - please remember that all your great descriptions can only be accepted if they are well written, don't break the rules, etc. To help the mods (and your fellow writers) it is important to participate in the review process. Read a couple of descrips each day, leave corrections and helpful comments. Even a short "nice" or "Can't find any fault" helps because mods will see that someone already read the description and really took a look instead of just clicking a button. The descripdoomers would love to see you join on the 15th - come to the channel, chat, review, maybe get something nice... 2 - I would love to reintroduce the badges for this thread, so if one of you has any talent with pixel art, I would love to see your design of a shiny new badge for the signatures of our lovely winners. Posted March 10, 2014 Hope no one minds that I'm double posting... kind of a bump. Grishiu has agreed to let us use the bases for the original badges, so long as they don't get changed in any way.
