Posted January 25, 2014 I know this would take a lot of effort as new dragons are constantly being added to the cave and the list would have to be updated regularly, but wouldn't it be great if there was a size reference sheet for all Drag Cave dragons? It would be a tool for fanfiction writers and roleplayers to use to avoid massive inaccuracies of size. Fanartists could also use it if they are drawing a scene with multiple types of dragons. Posted January 25, 2014 Might try this thread. They have an image going around that shows how big the various dragons are compared to people and to each other. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 25, 2014 It does sort of help but not really. I was suggesting an OFFICIAL, COMPREHENSIVE, size chart. There are still lots of breeds missing from the chart in that thread. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 25, 2014 It does sort of help but not really. I was suggesting an OFFICIAL, COMPREHENSIVE, size chart. There are still lots of breeds missing from the chart in that thread. Unfortunately the only way to get information for all the dragons--official or non--is to contact their creators, and some of those can't be reached anymore. Share this post Link to post
Posted January 25, 2014 I like the idea of a Site Size Chart. As for the chart in the SD thread, I think they have almost all the breeds, but the order isn't exactly alphabetic, so some of the dragons are in strange places. It does not match the order if you list by breeds in the Cave. It uses some nicknames for breeds that I find less familiar, so it takes a little work to find some of the breeds. Posted January 26, 2014 Keep in mind that some of the artists have headcanons for breed sizes, but defer the actual decision to me. For example, Jazi's headcanon for neotropicals is that they're pygmy-sized, but they're clearly not pygmies. More likely, they're similarly sized to other dragons. Also keep in mind that, like people, dragons probably vary in size, such that trying to characterize breed sizes won't necessarily work. That said, there are projects underway to expand the "site lore" (so to speak). Thanks for this feedback; I'll keep this sort of thing in mind as those projects progress. Share this post Link to post
