Silmarwen, Student

Location: Language Class

Pulling one end of the bow, Silmarwen let her hair down, which had been in a bun since gym class. As she was running her fingers through her hair, the Phoenix settled in the seat next to her.

"It is a great pleasure to meet you, Deja," Silmarwen replied enthusiastically, giving her warmest smile. The social nicety aside, she really meant what she had said. Fire Elves admired Phoenixes for their semblance to fire. If she had been less shy, she would have spoken to him the first time she had seen him, which was during the orientation in the auditorium the previous day. "I am Silmarwen Dragonflame, a Fire Elf." It was likely that Deja already knew, but she mentioned it anyway.

"It is nice to meet you too, little one," Silmarwen added, leaning towards the dragon hatchling. "I would introduce you to my companion but he is still enjoying himself inside the egg." Turning back to Deja, she continued, "I tried to warm the egg for it to hatch sooner, but alas, to no avail."

What Silmarwen really wanted to see was the Phoenix in action--singing, flying, bursting in to flames, showing some tricks. Perhaps they could even play around with fire. But as of the moment, she did her best to contain the excitement. After all, this was only their first meeting.

Luke

Science Class --> Room 60 --> Language Class

Luke got up as soon as the bell rang and made his way to room 60. Luke didn't want anyone to assume he was in a hurry so he tried to walk slowly, but something in his chest urged him to move quicker and soon, he found himself running up the stairs. I'm not worried about the egg Luke thought, Am I?. His room was getting closer and closer and soon the door was just inches away. Luke burst into the room panting, as he jogged lightly towards the nest where his egg was. It hadn't moved from the position Luke had left him in so he let out a sigh of relief. Picking the egg up and feeling it's warmth, Luke sat down on the bed. "When will you hatch?" He muttered quietly to it.

Luke put the egg back in the nest and made his way towards language room. Being a Telumnus, he had no experience of any languages other than his own since the Telumni cut themselves away from most of the outside world. "Great, another class I'll fail at.."

Leaving the older students to worry about each other, Colress looked up, brows furrowed. ...There was no conceivable way that a key could just fall from the ceiling. The specific key couldn't just.... Shaking his head and worrying his lip, he decided to try it, stepping back and stating a random number. "...Forty Eight...?" he half asked for, half inquired the number, only to pull back in a startled manner as it dropped and plopped itself into his hands. He stared at it in bewilderment, mouth slightly open in surprise. Then he compose himself, staring at the ceiling again. Colress did several motions of 'Key' 'ceiling' 'Key' 'ceiling' until he finally just shook his head. "And this is exactly why I'm not allowed to know about magic. Because this happens." he sighed out, shaking his head.

Colress inched away from the group, shoving the key in one of his large lab-coat pockets. He looked around, glad to not have spotted a teacher yet. That meant he might be able to make it back before the lesson. "Um, excuse me?" he asked Sin quietly. "Could I just get the directions there? It'll probably just be a bit easier on you, and I can just go and be back without a huge affair being made of it." Colress offered, thinking really that it would give him time to think, and also that he could move quicker alone. As well as, the group could continue their conversation.

"Nice to meet you as well!" Deja said excitedly, a Fire Elf!. Deja had spent a considerable amount of his early years around fire elves as there were rarely more than two or three phoenix children at a time, a young phoenix had to find other ways to entertain himself, and fire elves were great playmates. Leaning over to study Silmarwen's egg Deja smiled, "They're all so different, it's fascinating! I have yet to see one that looks like a phoenix egg though." Deja said leaning back, "I doubt any other creature would look as we do in egg form though." he commented sitting back in his chair. "Where are you from?" he asked suddenly, a small fire catching hold in his hair.

---- Agatha/Jolinar ----

Agatha blinked as a key manifested itself above Colress at his calling of a number. Ok, so maybe they do literally fall from the ceiling.

Try Room 21 Jolinar urged.

"Twenty-One?" Agatha offered quietly, then looked up for the key. No key appeared but there was a tingling sensation. Agatha/Jolinar had no way of knowing it - but this was a sign of failed magic caused by the target room already being full.

That didn't work..... another number, perhaps?

Jolinar thought for a bit, wondering why they didn't just ask Sin, but seeing from the corner of Agatha's eyes that the Azazel's attention was drawn by other students, 66?

Turning her eyes back to the ceiling, Agatha tried again.

"Sixty-six." This time a key did manifest and drop into a waiting hand.

[Am assuming either Colress or Camicar has Sin's attention during this post.]

James sighed happily and packed his stuff back into his bag, briefly pausing to admire the dull sheen of his egg.

"What's inside you?" He wondered absent-mindedly. James scratched the back of his head, he hadn't really felt like studying language, after speaking one for two hundred years it would be a bit difficult to suddenly start speaking another. James strode out of the science room, unsure of what to do, it would be nice to get some fresh air. James looked around, unsure where to go, he wouldn't mind taking a nice nap but the dorm seemed too boring. Maybe outside on the grass? He thought to himself. James eyes gazed upwards and a grin spread across his face, ignoring his surroundings he hoped onto the wall, the sections solidifying underneath his feat forming a stair case as he made his way up onto the room.

Shortly James reached the top and hurried over to the side. He leaned over and gazed downwards, grinning as the ground seemed so far away. James spread his arms and fell backwards slightly phasing through the ground to make a more comfortable surface. Rolling over he pulled his bag onto his lap and clutched it in his arms, sighing once more in joyful bliss he closed his eyes and succumbed to sleep.

Devon

Science to Language Class

Devon silently thanked the Headmaster for the warning about Dain's flirting during class. His continued disruption of class made her purse her lips and rub the bridge of her nose to hide her disapproval. Devon knew Dain wasn't serious, she knew him enough to know this was just his personality. The vampire would probably fit very well in her society as far as flirting went, but he would learn very fast to save it for before or after class. Education was very important to her people, taken just as seriously as training with weapons was. Flirting during class, even between a couple who was in an actual relationship outside of class, was frowned upon heavily. Punishments for such an activity were not just limited to the offending party, the whole class as well. It was up to the teacher, and more often than not they chose to punish the whole class to prevent it from continuing. It also helped teach them to act in a united front. What affected one, affected all. On that thought, Devon glanced at poor Tatsuke, who was taking Dain's flirting the hardest. An understanding smile graced her features, but she doubted Tatsuke saw it as the bell rang and he made for the door as quickly as he could without appearing to be in a hurry. Devon let out a sigh as she passed the vampire and teased, "You just can't control yourself can you. I'm not sure who's worse. You or the blonde fairy boy over there," She finished indicating Sya."

"Hey," Sya said, feigning hurt. "I resemble that remark!"

Devon huffed and muttered, "'Resemble'. More like 'embody in totality' after what I heard this summer."

Batting his thick blonde lashes, Sya gave Devon a cat that ate the canary grin he queried, "Oh do tell, Princess. Just what is it you heard?"

Devon gave Sya a mock stern glare, a light blush gently dusted her cheeks as she said, "You know very well what I heard. There is certainly no need for me to repeat it in mixed company." With that, she left quickly to catch up to Tatsuke before she could get any deeper into the discussion about Sya's activities. Sya might not have a problem regaling the others with his 'adventures'. Devon on the other hand did not enjoy that particular brand of entertainment. That did not, however, stop some of Devon's friends from discussing such things with her.

Once she caught up to Tatsuke, Devon said, "So what do you think the new language teacher will be like? I hope he or she is like the teacher last year, but maybe we'll get to learn other languages as well this year. Speaking of which, I've been practicing Nihounese in my free time back home." Devon added proudly. She knew she still had a long way to go before she could converse with Tatsuke in his native tongue, but Devon was making progress. If she'd had more time, Devon would be much better than she was, but the life of a Warrior/Bard was often busy. Even in the small hours of the morning, Devon could often be found hard at work on something.

Science to Language

After Sya replied to Devon, he stood along with Soria and answered with a smile while they walked to the door (Sya politely allowing Soria to exit first, of course! If the door is closed Sya will open it for her.), "Why yes I do have language this year. Not by choice, I assure you. At least the company will be good while we sit through class. But enough about moi. How have you been? After you, Sweety."

Camicar

The hallway outside of the classroom of language(s) on the first floor of the academy in some part of the new world

Camicar took a step back. "I-I'm ok" he said quickly. He carefully kept watch on the Azazel. He didn't want to be attacked while he wasn't looking. Get a hold of yourself, its best to put up a strong front Camicar thought. He read that in a book somewhere, but he wasn't sure if that was about Azazels. "So, we need to chose our room numbers, right?" he said, trying to sound calm. "I'll choose room... room 39" he said, picking a room at random. He held his hand out to catch the key. He again backed away another step. How could they let such a dangerous race into this school? Something must be wrong Camicar thought. If it came down to it, he could probably escape unharmed, but that didn't apply to most of the other kids here. "So, should i just go to class, or is there something else we need to do?" Camicar asked.

She stared at Camicar for an extra few seconds, head ever so slightly tilted to the side. He was looking at her like she was going to leap on him and bite him like some kind of wild animal. She stepped back from him, a little put off that anyone was intimidated by her when she hadn't done anything to seem scary. He stepped back again and she turned away. That blonde student with the... blue... thing in his hair was asking her if he could just get the directions. He seemed gentle and friendly, sort of like Tatsuke. She thought about gentle and friendly people to put the idea of Camicar's fear out of her mind. "No, we're all going to the hatchery together," her voice got a lit louder again so that way all the new students could hear her clearly once more. "All right, everyone! We're all going to the hatchery now so that you can all meet your dragons! Those who have dragons can go to class."

~~

"I do not know what the new teacher is to like, but I am sure they be good." He had a bright, optimistic smile across his features. As long as Dain kept his trap shut and Syassuru didn't decide to rip off his shirt and dance like a rave king, he couldn't imagine what could go wrong in this class. Teachers love hardworking students who asked relevant, meaningful questions, right? And Tatsuke loved to learn and be taught. "If we learn more languages, I may as well become inter-natural transrater, yes?" He didn't mean to crack a joke with that last bit. It was just his awkward tongue, and the perfectly content look on his face affirmed he thought what he was saying was 100% accurate.

"You practice lately?" He was feeling bold with Devon. She always made him feel a little more confident, never judging and always supportive. "Devon wa subarashi monoda, ryuchona supika! Wakareimasu ka?" He laughed a little, "I am sorry, too much? I am excite."

Dain stood from his spot silently with a smile. That class, successfully de-boring-ized. Dain grabbed his stuff and smirked at Devon who decided to spout a comment as she walked by. He knew that some of the new students are probably wondering what in god's name drove him to do what he did, and that made it all the more amusing. As he left Dain winked at the teacher and said, "see you next time." Dain walked silently through the halls wondering what class is next. It came to him as he entered the hallway to the language class. Supposedly they were supposed to have a new teacher for this class as well. Dain smirked. He had already decided he would let Sya be the prankster for this class, after all, he didn't want to be the only one ruin the classes.

It was obvious to Al that Lorf was following him, not intrusively though it seemed. For a short while, he continued walking. Where to? He wasn't perfectly certain. Part of his mind wanted him to check on the egg in his room. The other part wanted some entertainment. After some handful of meters, he came to a stop and turned to face Lorf. "So, Lorf-y, what kind of hobbies do you have? What do you do for entertainment?" he asked, the name "Lorf-y" sounding more as if it were "Larf-y" due to the imperfect sound of the 'or.'

Smiling, Soria stepped out of the classroom at Sya's motion, thanking him for being such a gentleman. ""I've been good. Summer was nice, seeing my friends from home again. Mum married her muggle boyfriend but he still doesn't know about our world. Mum's so afraid of scaring him off." She shook her head, long hair shifting across her shoulders and cheeks. "What adventures did you have while away?"

Colress stopped and nodded slowly. 'Probably a small trust issue. Not caused by me, as I just got here.' he thought to himself, hands digging deep into his pockets. He faintly tugged on the braid of cyan hair, hidden behind his ear, tucking it further away before crossing his arms protectively over his chest. "Ahh, alright. Von could hope." he chuckled quietly, inspecting those around him while keeping distanced. A new bunch of people came, and some went. Colress acknowledged them briefly in his head, trying to put things to faces. Names, Races and the likes of which were tossed around. Then, finally he dismissed it, looking for the 'other students' without eggs. He could see eggs in just about all of their grasps. Except when they weren't eggs, but hatchlings.

To free his hands, Colress lifted the sheet of paper with his information on it and read it, then closed his eyes. His lips moved as he worked on memorizing it, then he shoved it in his pocket so his hands could be free for the egg. "Vell, I'm ready if zhe ozhers are as vell." he stated, not as distracted. Although, he did wonder... What would occur if he called out a second number that wasn't taken...? Oh well. That would have to be an experiment for later times, when he wasn't about to get a dragon egg.

Silmarwen, Student

Location: Language Class

(OOC: Sorry, I forgot to mention that Silmarwen left her dragon egg in her room. The conversation still makes sense without the egg anyway! smile.gif )

"Indeed," Silmarwen replied. "If I had seen an egg that had a striking resemblance to a Phoenix egg, I would have probably chosen it." It was typical of her to be sincere and straightforward. She really did admire Phoenixes a lot, hence the spontaneous display of admiration.

"I am from Astraloth," Silmarwen replied politely even though she was at a loss. Astraloth was the only city of the Fire Elves. Where else would she come from? Phoenixes would probably know this. Suddenly, an idea dawned on her. When the city fell into ruins during the war, the Fire Elves became a nomadic people for almost a century. What if some of those nomadic Fire Elves failed to receive the call of the prince to return back to the city? What if they still led nomadic lives? What if they began to establish settlements? Being able to travel great distances, what if Phoenixes have encountered such Fire Elves? Living in an isolated city, these questions never occurred to her. It was embarrassing for her to admit even just to herself that all along, she assumed that every living Fire Elf had returned to the city. This realization was all due to a simple question from someone from another race.

The trail of thoughts eliminated her confusion and revived her enthusiasm. However, in the meantime, she attended to the conversation at hand. "How about you? Where do you come from?" She asked Deja. "I imagine that you have been to so many places, especially with those wings!" Seeing a small fire in his hair, Silmarwen let out a chuckle. "Have you ever set something on fire with those wild flames of yours?" She asked in amusement.

As Silmarwen spoke, Deja's wings shifted as they were reminded of the constant confinement indoors forced upon them. Pouting slightly at the mention of travel

Deja crossed his arms in a childish pout before answering the question, "ACtually I haven't done much traveling at all since I'm only 15 I'm forced to stay at Ignis. They were going to let me go when I turned 17 but then this place popped up and they agreed that if I went to the school I could leave Ignis. I'd still prefer to be traveling elsewhere but anywhere but 2 more boring years of Ignis sounds good to me." Noticing the small wild fire in his hair Deja smiled and patted it out, "Have I ever set anything on fire, where on earth do you wish me to begin?" Laughing Deja quickly launched into the tale of 101 reasons Déjà vu is a complete idiot and a bane to be around.

Devon

Science to Language

Devon smiled at Tatsuke, her eyes glittered with joy as she said with a chuckle, "Yes, I believe that one day you will." She knew what he'd meant to say, and didn't mind the way it was said. Devon found it rather fascinating how Tatsuke's language had evolved to exclude the letter 'l'. His next question made her brow furrow in concentration and replied, "Well, I got some of that, but yes that was too much for now. I have been practicing, but it hasn't been as much as I would like to. Things were every busy for me all summer. I can't tell you how much I kept thinking about being back here, so I could get a break and hang out with you again. I can't wait to tell you everything that happened."

Devon knew she could have said any other combination of words, but there was only one person she wanted to tell about everything that had happened. She wanted to tell him now, but they were heading to language class. She would keep conversation light for now. She didn't really want to talk about certain things with so many new ears around.

Syasurru

Science to Language

Sya gave Soria a very dashing smile and replied, "I can understand that, but if he loves her then I'm sure he'd come around. Should he ever find out, that is." With a sigh he continued, "Sadly there hasn't been much going on. The traditional balls and court appearances, more boring stuff and so on. The most exciting things this summer for me were going with my Mother to meet with the Emperor and answering Devon's summon. Devon should be the one to talk about that though. I have to say, I rather enjoyed watching Mother handle those imperialistic fatheads. She treated them like a bunch of naughty spoiled brats after I told her what Tatsuke had told me and covered in history class last year. She was so upset with them, it rained on the capitol building the for a week, and each counsel member got followed by one of her small clouds, raining even inside their houses! I heard one wife even refused her husband entry to their house so he wouldn't get everything in the house wet," Sya finished with a chuckle.

Inside the class room

Professor Xanthopoulos stood in the very back of the classroom, were it was most dark, shrouded in Mist thick enough to make it difficult for the students to see her. When they walked into the room, all they'd see is a dark and empty classroom. Those who are empaths would be able to feel the coldness of her emotions, a telepath would sense her dark thoughts. She could smell the students as they let out of their last class and made their way here. Some smelled utterly delicious, while others made her want to find the nearest bathroom and rid her stomach of the 'breakfast' Beriiel had supplied.

Dain walked past most of his friends in the hall. It wasn't that he was being anti-social but more so that he could smell something different. He couldn't quite place the smell, and it seemed almost, distant. This however began to change as he approached his language class. The smell, was still distant though it was concentrated in the class. Dain pushed some students out of the way and got a few curses from them, but he didn't care. Something had intrigued him and Dain wanted to know what it was. It is times like these that I wish I had the nose of a dog. He cursed. For the most part Dain was able to figure out that the smell was in the back of the classroom. He wasn't sure where nor any way to find out. Instead he took a desk by the window and waited for class to began, periodically looking back at the other side of the classroom where the smell was.

Soria

To Language

Soria started laughing, briefly exclaiming shock after hearing that her friend's mother had made personal rain clouds. "I wish I had gotten to see that! Hopefully, they learned their places after that experience!" The young witch idly tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, chuckling still about the event. "I probably understand your frustration about such social gatherings. Each year, mum has us attend every ceremony we can in performing specific rituals to boost the wealth of the seasons or occasions. Now, while I know the power and belief system behind it, I sometimes get bored with the same rituals over and over again. However, I love the idea of attending any one of the balls you attend and one or two court appearances; I'm curious to know what they're like."

As they approached the Language classroom, Sin was calling for some new students to follow her towards the Hatchery. As they passed by, she waved at the Azel with a "have fun~" expression. However, she knew it would be her turn next time and then Sin can dish the friendly mockery back at the witch. "Should we sit in the center again? Or would you rather somewhere else?" she asked. There were already a few students here, mostly newcomers she'd seen or met during Orientation. Deja and Silmarwen were talking between themselves - I hope he doesn't set anything on fire! - and Mizuki appeared to be sleeping. Dain, Devon, and Tatsuke where also arriving.

Sin lead the three dragonless students around corners and through the halls to reach the hatchery. Her two-legged dragon kept his place beside her all the while, sternly gazing upon the new students as they stopped outside the hatchery like a gargoyle. Sin gestured into to the room with a clawed hand. "In here are orphaned and donated dragon eggs. They come in all breeds and creeds, but in the end there is one perfect dragon for you. Don't rush; just take your time. You'll know when you find the egg, trust me."

Inside the warm room were piles of eggs, many of them lined up in nests but others were laying on the floor. As Sin said, there were obviously dozens of different breeds, their shells gave it away. They sat together and apart like bright gemstones or sugary rock candies, the occasional twitch and wiggle coming from individual eggs all over the room.

Soria

Class was going to start soon, perhaps within the next few minutes. Students were trickling in, filling up the empty seats that remained, and murmuring in conversation with their classmates or close friends; whomever they sat next too. The teacher was still a no-show but, perhaps they would come in the last minute. It might have been that the instructor was already there but wasn't seen. Who knew?

Glancing around, Soria took note of who was in Language. There was Silmarwen, Deja, Dain, Devon, Tatsuke, Luke, Mizuki, and Agatha or Jolinar (whatever this girl was called). Of course, the young witch didn't know all of their names, only knew a few of them from Orientation or the year before. No matter. As the clock ticked out the remaining few minutes, a handful more students stepped in, filling up what remained of the seats.

Felic and Sorge

For all the students not attending Language, shame on them! No, not really. That class was optional, an elective created with four or five others for the enjoyment and leisure of the students in-between all of the mandatory lectures they were to sit through. Felic was in the cafeteria now, Sorge beside him and engrossed in mild conversation. Lunch wouldn't officially begin for another hour, once Language was over, but the cooks always started setting out meal entrées about half an hour early for those who weren't taking the first elective and to prevent a massive line from coming into existence due to any kind of wait.

Scattered throughout the large room, Felic saw or sensed the emotions of James, Al'nivte, Lorf, Kaius, and Seamus. Two of those students he didn't exactly favor being near, simply because of their emotions being so... displeasing. However, the Empath wasn't going to let that force him out of the room; he was hungry after not having much of a breakfast this morning. That reminded him, he'd have to time his arrival to Sin's room in the morning better. Honestly, he didn't know how they could have been in such a rush today; he was much better at his timing than that! Wasn't he? Well, it was only a single mess-up; surely not the end of the world.

Lorf

Some random hallway (or i guess the cafeteria now?)

Lorf stopped when the griffon turned around. Ha, Larfy. Thats the first time iv been called that he thought. "Why is it that you would need to know?" he asked, "My hobbies are my own. For now, you could say hatching dragon eggs is my hobby." He held up the egg. "Not that there's a chance i'm going to get a second one" he said. "I wonder. What sort of things do griffons do?" he asked.

Camicar

Hallway --> Language classroom

Camicar walked into the classroom. Most of the other students were already in a seat. He wasn't sure where to sit. If this was just grammer and stuff, they he would just want to read through the whole class. Then he would want to sit in the back. But, if this was other languages, then he would want to sit closer to the front so he could see better. Uhh, where should i sit? Camicar thought. He looked around. He wasn't sure, but he felt there was something in the shadow's of the room. He wasn't in a dark enough area to see it clearly, but he could definitely feel something there. I'll sit in the second row, thats probably the best compromise he thought. He took a seat next to a blond person who seemed like a regular human. I wonder what race he is Camicar thought. He would have asked, but class was probably going to start before the person could reply.

[@Narvix - both names are equally valid. The Host (hence the most visible) is Agatha - the Sesseljae is Jolinar]

--- Jolinar/Agatha ---

Agatha slipped into her seat as Sin led the others away towards the Hatchery for their pick of eggs. Her little hatchling was curled up on her shoulder - one would assume sleeping after the earlier excitement of hatching.

The class was filling up and as yet there was no sign of the teacher.

[[i know, Takhesis x3 It's Soria's train of thought telling that she's possibly heard two different names for the same student, thus confusing her. "Wait, I thought her name was Agatha?" "No, I heard it was Jolinar." "Really? But... Oh forget it. I'll ask later." -.-]]

Al'nivte

Cafeteria

The Uccello seemed to grin through his beak, four eyes narrowing a fraction. So the lizard-boy had some wisecracks after all. Good. "No reason really, just trying to get to know you a bit better." Geez, those 'o's were a pain in the feathery rear! However, the shorter the sound the vowel had in a word, the easier it was to make; his beak didn't prevent him from voicing certain sounds, merely made it difficult. The mention of hatching dragon eggs reminded him of his own, still tucked away in his room. Had it hatched yet? He reckoned it hadn't, Uccello eggs were slow to hatch but, that didn't mean he knew when his dragon's egg was first laid. For all his knowledge, it could have been laid before he was even free of his own gray shell.

A small look of displeasure entered his gaze, the corners of his beak ever-so-slightly turning downward. "I'm not a gryphon...." While Uccellos were looked upon as a subspecies of gryphons, he always believed his race was more superior to the flying, four-legged, beasts. Why? Uccellos could be considered evolved beings, like the humans from the apes, most of the population walking on two legs with the ability to wield weapons while - in a rare occurrence - few others could use magic. Gryphons couldn't do either or both, forever shackled to walking on four limbs and lacking the brain power to cast spells. Of course, he knew of their wisdom and knowledge, something gained from centuries of living like the Uccello. However, that didn't mean he wasn't wrong in his train of thought. Perhaps a gryphon did learn how to stand upright (albeit with some difficulty due to their spine) and take arms or utilize some magic. But, his thoughts were drifting now....

Returning to the words that called up the thoughts in the first place, Al'nivte grinned again. "I'm what's called a Uccello, a superior species to the gryphon, our cousins. What I enjoy doing most is something the humans call 'parkour.' Perhaps you know of it? No matter. More often than not, preference of activities vary between each Uccello."

Following Sin hurriedly, Colress only stopped when they were at the door, looking in to where all the eggs were. Blinking, he glanced over at the others before shuffling over to the door, stepping in, careful of all the eggs. He stepped towards an empty corner to scan the rest of the room, finally settling upon a silver and blue egg that seemed to be emanating cold. He made his way over, careful lifting it, and then, making his way out of the room, inspecting the frost-dusted shell, holding it close, warming it a tad. It seemed to shift closer to the warmth, and he let a small smile play on his face, the corners of his mouth quirking up.

Perhaps only a guess, but he wasn't certain it was a frost or ice dragon. It seemed more... Warm-oriented than that. But, he shook his head. He would find out when he found out. Instead, he focused on cradling it close and thinking about what he should do. The first idea would be to go to class. He would have to ask Sin about that though. The next would be to get his stuff, drop it off at the dorm, and then see the time. Should it be too late to go to class, he could just head to the nurse for a check-up.

Silmarwen, Student

Location: Language Class

Silmarwen was so engrossed with Deja's stories that she remained oblivious to the darkness of the classroom for a while. As the Phoenix went on about his tales, She giggled along, occasionally asking little questions or commenting on notable details. The two were the perfect match to cheerfully talk about settings things on fire. Due to the destructive properties of fire, not many people thought of this as an entertaining topic to chat about.

"Perhaps you should leave it be when you catch fire again," Silmarwen suggested jokingly. "This classroom is too dark. A bit of firelight would be useful right now." She glanced past Deja and spotted Dain on the other end of the classroom. He looked towards their direction but not at her or her Phoenix companion, prompting Silmarwen to turn around and see for herself what Dain had been eyeing.

Before Silmarwen was the darkest corner of the classroom. It was tempting to conjure a little flame and light up the corner, but sensing the magic in there, she thought that whatever it was, it wanted to remain hidden. She turned to Deja, wondering what he thought about it.

Trevor Linole

-> Language Classroom

Footsteps faintly reached the ears of students sitting closest to the classroom door, a familiar grumpy-looking face coming into sight. "Now, I told you the new lass wou'd be late, eh Burung?" Not bothering to look at his four-armed companion, the aged man entered the classroom and moved to stand at the front, facing the waiting students; he had taken note of the darker back corner upon entry. "What's all this then? We can't punish the small-fries for their instructor's lack of appearing. Can we?" Linole idly scratched at the underside of his chin, tilting his head slightly and ignoring his ruffled beard; scratching his chin was probably even the reason why it was ruffled to begin with. "Although... my limbs are feeling particularly itchy. Think I could get away with giving the lot push-ups and wall-sits? Wonder how the new lass wou'd take t' tha'?" The old man grinned faintly.

Clasping both hands behind his back, Mr. Linole examined the students in this class, recognizing second years and spotting some newcomers from Gym earlier that morning. "Alright, I want to see just how long it takes for your instructor to arrive and then grow the spine to take command of her students. Shall we?" Now he looked over at Burung, a grin hidden beneath his mustache and beard. Waiting only a few moments for the Love Demon to make a response, the old man pointed at Agatha, jerking his thumb for her to stand. "What's your name, lassie?" The golden aura around her made an obvious fact of her not being, at the least, the average human.

[[it's been a couple of weeks since we reminded everyone about activity. I'm invoking our rules again. Since Raven has not posted any responses in over three days from her last chance to post, people are free to move on without her. However, I will take responsibility for catching her up if needed. This means that Lawless can send Colress to Language as Lucky shall not need to wait for Raven to post as Isolde to get her egg. When Raven post's again, she is free to write about Isolde's experience in the Hatchery when selecting her egg. Let's keep moving please.]]
