Sphaera Project

Poor deadnotsleeping has had a terrible time during the last months (look at her profile ), so she didn't have time for this. But I still hope that she'll be back eventually.

Until then, I brought the lists up to date - perhaps someone could PM the people around the last eggs, so we know who is the last active person in a given list that has a Sphaera to breed, and who would be the first active person in row to take it. (I would like to help this, but I don't have the time.)

(Tribea was next in line, but took the Sphaera and then quitted the project. band4ever bred another offspring in October, but it grew up on her scroll, despite her having sent a PM to -nym-, so I guess -nym- wasn't there to take it.)

Oh, wow I never thought to look at her profile. She really is having a rough time.

Edit: Small update

 

I have sent PMs to several people from the Sphaera I line.

stellalala (who received the last egg, which apparently died?)

Deblob167 (who bred the last egg)

Pesadilla (who is the person on the list just before Deblob167)

XiaoChibi (who is next in line after stellalala)

 

I have heard back from only Pesadilla so far, who is willing to breed again and send the egg to whoever is determined to be the next active person on the list, if needed.

 

XiaoChibi is not interested any more, so I am now PMing dragonpuck to see if she wants an egg.

 

Sphaera II is at exactly the same place on the list as Sphaera I, it appears, so I will try some PMs on Sphaera III, I guess. (Messages sent to band4ever and the next 3 people on the list, including -nym-.)

I can also do updates to the first post if we think deadnotsleeping would be okay with it. Just let me know what to do. :3

 

I'm also sorry to hear about deadnotsleeping's situation. I hope they know they're loved and that they're managing okay. I hope things pick up for her. <3

We have reached the end of the Sphaera I list as no one else is active. The question now is where to go from here. Do we cycle back to the beginning or do we add new people who have indicated they want to join?

I think we have to consider Deblob as gone. No posts in the forums since December 3rd, no eggs or hatchies on the scroll, no new Christmas or Valentine's dragons, no newer releases either. So I wouldn't wait much longer for a response from this quarter.

 

The same goes for Sunset42, except their last post is from October.

 

band4ever last posted in October, too, but at least she has collected the Radiant Angels on Valentine's, so there might be hope. If she doesn't respond Sphaera III will be entirely finished until deadnotsleeping comes back and gives it a restart.

 

That said - I'd recommend that Pesadilla starts breeding Sphaera I for dragonpuck as soon as possible.

 

And should we think about changing the order of Sphaera II, so that different people get to profit from the restart ? (The idea of the different lines was to shorten the wait by having eggs on different places in the list, after all. If we just restart both as they are now, people get to breed two Sphaeras in a short amount of time and have to wait for the eggs to go all the way round afterwards.)

I agree with getting Sphaera I up and running again as soon as possible. We have someone willing to breed an egg and someone willing to take it. That is probably enough for now.

 

How do you suggest changing the order of the list for Sphaera II? I agree that the current situation runs counter to the original purpose of having two lines.

 

Or should we just concentrate on Sphaera I for now and get it revived before we worry about the second one?

I'm not exactly sure. I suppose we'd have to jump over a few people - about half as many as are on the list in total. That way we'd cut the waiting time in half. But to do that we'd of course have to know who is still on the list, and who has gone inactive/no longer interested.

 

I took the names and looked up forum posts and scrolls.

Huzzah - a cute new Sphaera ! And a cute name !

 

According to purplehaze's status post Lindy is still active and interested. But you should either ask her beforehand, or breed the new Sphaera immediately, so it can hatch before Sunday. (Because if all works as normal, Sunday should be the day of the April release.)
