Posted December 29, 2012 Yeah, I'm not crazy about the new dragons either. I hadn't thought about watermelon colors! I'm definitely freezing a hatchy. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 The adult sprite is gorgeous! I love the dynamic pose and the patterns in the wing. Lovely! Along with everyone's gingerbread houses, keep sharing them please! I love seeing what everyone comes up with. Speaking of, I made some more changes to my gingerbread house. You did an awesome job on that house...er...dragon. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 Now that you mention it, the colors of the new dragon make me think of watermelons. I want to wish everyone good luck in the raffle. ^^ Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 'Yule Wrapping' and 'Yule Paper.' I'm pretty pleased with those names, might change Yule Paper to something else. To the person who has the name 'Wrapping Paper' I will trade you my soul for that name. Share this post Link to post

Posted December 29, 2012 my gingerbread house i feel so bad because only the house is original all the other features (tree, fence, swan, etc.) were erm stolen BORROWED still had fun though so its alright i guess Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) Had a lot of fun with the gingerbread house but seem to have some sort of glitch or something with it. At the end of my fence on the right is an extra piece but when I go into my gingerbread house to edit and get rid of it, it doesn't show up. Any ideas of how to get rid of that extra piece or is it a glitch? http://dragcave.net/holidays12_house/mischieftigertot Edited December 29, 2012 by MischiefTigertot Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 That's an awesome house. Not important if you borrowed idea's. I think we all have at times. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 I really like the shiny effect on these guy's wings, but the stiffness of the spine along the neck and back kinda bothers me. Share this post Link to post

And you did not "borrow", you were *cough* inspired by other peoples creativity! As were many others I'm sure. Which is a compliment to the original designers. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 It doesn't seem like most of the people here agree, but I personally LOVE the new Christmas dragons. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 I really like the shiny effect on these guy's wings, but the stiffness of the spine along the neck and back kinda bothers me. It kind of reminds me of paper coming right off the roll, the shape of the back I mean.. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 I think I'm finally finished with My Gingerbread House Very pretty! Mine's kind of plain, but I like the purple effect. I like the new dragons, too. Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) New dragons are very pretty. I wish the curve of the back was actually closer to a circle, but I'm honestly just glad to see a dragon-shaped (the standard long muzzle, horns, heavy brow shape makes me happy) head on a Christmas dragon again. The others are nice but they get a little wild in design and color scheme and I enjoy it when there's occasionally a return to basics. Posted December 29, 2012 Hello~ Just came to show off my house again, I am so proud of it http://dragcave.net/holidays12_house/CaptainCute Share this post Link to post
Posted December 29, 2012 (edited) It kind of reminds me of paper coming right off the roll, the shape of the back I mean.. That was the intention. I'm glad someone caught that. I've got a naming poll going on in the Site Discussion section for these new Christmas Dragons. Lets see what the Cave at large thinks they should be called. That isn't necessary. I just wanted to give the user base a chance to see the adults before I posted their information. Here it is: Name: Wrapping-Wing Dragons (Although I do like strawberries ) Personality: They are usually old fashioned and can be serious at times, but are proud and almost always well intentioned. They are also widely known for being extremely fussy. They also love tending to hatchling and telling them stories. Mating habits: During the holiday season, they decorate their territories to attract mates. Trees, caves, and other things in the territory will be decorated. If you live in a Wrapping-Wing’s territory, your house will be decorated whether you want it or not. Afterwards, they will fuss with their display until they are absolutely convinced it is perfect. When Wrapping-Wing live in neighbouring territories, they will bicker over who has the best display. They will often break out into small fights consisting of small, quick slaps to each other’s faces with their wings. They don’t actually hurt each other and it’s more comical than anything else. Breath weapon: Ice breath, but isn’t very powerful. It mostly just frosts things. It’s good for stunning prey, but it’s mostly used for decorating things. Size: Very large, usually ranging between a tiger and a polar bear. You could probably ride them, but they probably wouldn’t let you. However, you could probably talk them into pulling you around in a sleigh. Diet: These dragons probably have the most human like-diet of all dragons. If you’d let them, they would happily sit at your table and eat Christmas dinner with you. In the winter they usually hunt wild turkey and quails (using their magic to heat the meat before eating) and usually eat fruit in the summer. However, they can be very picky eaters and would rather go without dinner then eat something they don’t like. It is unheard of a Wrapping-Wing to eat meat cold. Wings: Every few years, these dragons grow an extra wing digit. The pattern on the skin depends on the health of the dragon thought the growing period. The brighter and more intricate the pattern, the healthier the dragon was. Each dragon’s patterns are slightly different so they use them to tell each other apart. If there are any questions about the breed, feel free to ask. I'm sorry if it takes some time to answer, though. ___ Also, thank you all for the congrats and complements. I can barely keep up with all the PMs (If I haven't respond to you, I'm sorry I missed you. I think some got lost...). I'm sorry I can't respond to each comment personally. I've been ill as of lately and haven't been on as much as I would like. EDIT: Now let's see how long it takes for this info to make it's way to the wiki...
