Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) The Light in The Shadows OoC The Light in The Shadows ((Girlfairy76 is one of the form approvers. I'll update this when I get more of them.)) -History- It was a stormy night. Two matured hatchlings, one a Black Marrow, the other a Vampire, walked together, carrying a Shadow Walker egg. But then, something happened to those three. The Vampire, whose name was Nyght, dropped the egg. The Black Marrow, Oscuro, looked at him. "Nyght, what's wrong?" Oscuro asked. With a flash, Nyght attacked Oscuro and Oscuro fell to the ground. Nyght dragged the egg and hatchling along, put each near a cave, then disappeared into a different cave himself. Oscuro wondered why he attacked him. When Oscuro awoke the next day, he wandered around until he found him. "Why did you attack me, Nyght?" Oscuro asked. Nyght attacked Oscuro again and dragged him back into his cave, then disappeared into his cave as well. Feeling that he was left and abandoned, Oscuro tried to figure out why Nyght had attacked him. But whenever he asked, Nyght would attack. Oscuro completely gave up, but Nyght started tracking him and attacking. Feeling there was no other choice, Oscuro started fighting, too. Nyght wouldn't stop the fighting no matter what. The Shadow Walker hatched the next week. Its name was Sombra, and it was a beautiful little girl. Of course, no one saw her, though. She wanted to stop Oscuro and Nyght from fighting. But as Sombra grew her wings, and Oscuro and Nyght grew up, they fought fiercely. Sombra tried to stop them, but she was also fought with for trying. The battle became worse and worse, until other dragons joined in. Clans were formed because of this. They fought all together, which turned into a war. Only no one ever figured out why Nyght had attacked Oscuro. There is a far away island called Carria Kale. There is a war of three different clans. It is called Forever and a Day. Oscuro leads the Black Moon clan, Nyght is leader of the Night Mist clan, and Sombra is leader of the White Shadow Clan. These are the clans. Normally there are more than one type of dragon. If a dragon ever meets another of their type, they must bow. It is the law of the island. If they meet a leader of a clan, they must give something to them, like a small colorful rock or a bird feather. If they don't have anything, they must find a flower and go to the leader's clan cave. They must then put the flower in a small rock vase outside each clan cave. No human has ever laid foot on Carria Kale, but one, and no one has ever seen it. There had only been myths about the island, the human, and the dragons that live there. But no one knows that the myths are true... A teenage Shadow Walker sits near Mist Lake. A Black Marrow stands near a berry bush near the left wing of the Shadow Walker, and a Vampire is near an apple tree near the right wing of the Shadow Walker. None of them see each other since the lake is always cloaked in mist. Suddenly a black object appears, so large that it is visible to all three dragons, and the Black Marrow hides in the bush. The Vampire flies into the tree, but the Shadow Walker doesn't move. The Shadow Walker just stares at the lake. The black object was shaped like a human. It moved closer to the Shadow Walker. "People say light is everywhere..." it whispered, "so how about in the shadows?" The object went silent. It seemed to turn around and walk away. What does that mean? Oscuro, Nyght and Sombra thought together. ~Plot~ On a far away misty island, you wander. You were hiding near the Shadow Walker when the human appeared and you caught every word. You had seen the Black Marrow and the Vampire listening too, although they disappeared. The three Halloween dragons are now trying to find out what that means. So what about you? Are you going to join a clan and help, or go off on your own? The choice is yours. And remember, no matter what, death will happen. Extra Info There are three Halloween dragons: Shadow Walkers, Black Marrows, and Vampires. Each has a clan. The Vampire's clan is called 'Night Mist.' The Black Marrow's is called 'Black Moon.' And last but not least, the Shadow Walker's is called 'White Shadow.' Any dragon can join any clan, but the Halloween dragons can only join the clan that holds their kind (Shadow Walkers in 'White Shadow,' Vampires in 'Night Mist,' Black Marrows in 'Black Moon'). The dragons are in war, and each dragon has a different reason to make a clan. White Shadow: To protect others and stop this war, along with figuring out what 'People say light is everywhere... so how about in the shadows?' means. Night Mist: Find out what 'People say light is everywhere... so how about in the shadows?' means, along with defeating the other clans and protecting some dragons. Black Moon: Defeat the other clans, defeat the humans, find out what 'People say light is everywhere... so how about in the shadows?' means, and rule the world. And you can be ANY dragon. What the island is/looks like Kaayshia Forest- A large, beautiful forest filled with animals and plant life. Black Death Forest- A large, silent and dark forest filled with dead plants and skulls. Sacria River- A river filled with fish that leads out into the Sacria Ocean. Sacria Ocean- The ocean surrounding the island. Mist Lake- A lake surrounded in mist, the exact place Sombra and the human met. White Shadow- Sombra's clan cave. Black moon- Oscuro's clan cave. Night Mist- Nyght's clan cave. -~Rules~- 1)No God Modding or Powerplaying. 2)At LEAST 4 sentences long. Any more then that is fine. 3)Your limit is 8. He has seen all of the clans, but he is truly amazed by White Shadow. Maybe because the leader is only a mature hatchling, maybe because they fight against adults; he doesn't know why. She thought it was some sort of potion so she tried some. She was only a mature hatchling back then, almost an adult. She became a half-vampire. During eclipses she has the power to make the stars burn brighter then ever, or appear during the day. She can see stars in people's hearts. Looks: Her eyes are yellow, and her scales are gray. Her underbelly is light brown, and all of her bones are paper white. She's also tinted with yellow. She has a yellow star birthmark on her right paw. History: Estrella was a outcast ever since she was born. Her egg was brighter then most, and when she hatched, her overall appearance was brighter. History: His egg had a red glow from being bit, so he was abandoned. Only the vampire who bit his egg didn't have a chance to turn it full vampire, and some of it's blood fell in the egg. She has the ability to use light to blind her opponants, but it is very taxing for her to use. Her element is fire. Looks: She isn't especially large, but she is graceful and beautiful with a dark, slender body and glistening sapphire wings. History: She never knew her mother and father, instead she was raised by a grumpy old spitfire who believed that fighting was the only answer to everything. Though Alyll excelled under his training and became very skilled at combat, she hated every minute of it and tried to persuade herself that there was more to life than just fighting. Even if the spitfire was a bit gruff and strict, she still came to love him in the end. It was the worst day she could remember when a fiesty red came along and fought the Spitfire to the death. Both killed each other off, leaving Alyll alone and orphaned. It was obvious she would never be the same after that day, but she found solace in doing what her breed excelled at: observing the stars. She began to learn the secrets of the constellations, though she doesn't realize how deep those powers run. After wandering for a couple of months, she met up with the White Shadow clan and joined them, wholeheartedly embracing their cause. History: Not having a long history, she is known for shyness. Within the exciting of herbs, history, etc as her hobbies. With her father a loner who is so frustrated yells all day, and her mother too busy with her siblings, Lunity feels like she has a small companion at her side when wearing her moss which she adds flowers to every time something rememberal happens. Looks: She is a black magi dragoness with green sparkling eyes. History: The black magi dragoness Atlas has always been trained to fight ruthlessly from the day she was born. As a result, she has never shown any mercy to her opponents, whether they be adult or hatchling, and tends to kill her foes in a cold-blooded manner. Her magical glowing scales can light up dark places for her to see, but it can be disadvantageous as enemies can now see her. Looks: Like your average silver dragon. History: Her father died when she was young and years later her mother fell victim to illness. Orphaned since then, Lightning has learned to fend herself in the wilderness. Somehow, she can see into the distant future or past when touching something, but the power makes her fall into a coma. Looks: Like a normal lunima, but has a few feathers on her tail. Wears a white pendant shaped like a feather that has 'The brighter the light, the darker the shadows will grow...' carved onto it. History:Her dead mother passed the pendant down to her. She saw a dragon's future filled with power and glory and is determined to find and help this dragon achieve this future. The process lead her to the Blackmoon territory. When he grew into a mature hatchling, his foster parents suddenly decided to kill him, but failed. He flew away and never came back. Everywhere he went, he was laughed at. Especially hates humans. When enraged, can spew out jets of fire and a special kind of freezing flame that has a freezing effect instead of a burning one. Looks:Like a mature female hellfire wyvern hatchling, except the very tips of her wings are white History: Her mother (who was a hellfire) was a loving parent, but unfortunately passed away in an accident. Her father (who was an ice dragon) had always ignored her because he wanted an ice dragon child instead. As soon as her mother died, he had abandoned her. Clan or loner(What clan?) : loner for now, still trying to figure out which clan to join Other: Carefree and happy almost all the time, but sometimes snaps and flies into a destructive rage. Gender: Female Type of Dragon: Golden Wyvern Powers: Speed and agility in the air, as well as on the ground. High Endurance, very keen eyesight and hearing. Looks: Massive wingspan, and deep sapphire eyes that have threads of gold in them. Other than that looks like a normal golden wyvern, she also has patterns etched into her head spikes. History: Arcelia hatched alone and abandoned, she is kind hearted but only if you can get through her rough exterior. She is good at hiding her emotions but is normally extremely fierce. She has grown up alone and only as her instincts to go by, and what she has taught herself. Overall she is not a good enemy, but if you have her on your side then you are sure to prevail. She barely remembers her past as a hatchling due to that she was thrown off of her mother’s back at a young age. She prefers not thinking about her past. Does not enjoy war and would most likely side with the White Shadows if pushed. Has very little fear of the Black Death Forest and sometimes visits for certain toadstools. Both. Username: Zeditha Name: Zeditha Age: Mature hatchling Gender: Female Type of Dragon: Olive Powers: She has the usual Olive dragon venom spikes, but extra ones grow on her slightly lengthened tail. She can throw them, allowing a ranged attack. However, she has no other powers. Looks: She's olive green - of course - with yellow spots, like on her breed's egg. Her back venom spikes are bright orange, but the ones on her tail that she throws are purple. Her feet are black. History: Zeditha was abandoned as an egg in the Kaayshia Forest, and grew up there. She learned to hunt and fly by herself. Once, she stumbled across a small group of Shadow Walkers, talking together in a clearing. Since then, she has sat in shadows a lot, searching for the light. Clan or loner: Mainly a loner, but she thinks that the fighting should be stopped. However, she thinks the best way to stop it is to kill everyone. Other: She's something of a radical, I guess. If she wasn't so terrible at talking, she might have started a new clan. But, probably fortunately, she's terrible at talking. If you make her your friend, then one, something strange has happened since she prefers to throw venom spikes first and ask questions never, and two, you have a loyal friend for life. Both. Red List (The people who broke small rules three times, not allowed to post for a while.) None, let's keep it that way! Black List (The people who broke a big rule, not allowed to join again. Ever.) None, let's keep it that way! Shadow Cats Shadow Cats are intelligent cats made of shadows. The adults are 6 feet tall, mature ones are 4 feet tall, children are 2 feet. They can make wings, spiked tails, two extra feet, and fog out of any type of shadow. Each has a special ability. They can stand light and if you took the shadows off of them, they're dark gray giant cats. The shadows can be any color. There are three clans; Each tends to help one clan of their choice. Clan Shadowlurker(White Shadows) Luces(Female white Shadow Cat, able to make light orbs out of white shadows(Not the answer to the one question), adult. seacatsmew) Clan Blackmoon(Black Moon) Fuego(Male dark red Shadow Cat, able to make fire out of red and orange shadows and control the fire, adult. seacatsmew) Clan Darkblood(Night Mist) Espanto(Male dark gray Shadow Cat, able to make traps out of any shadows, adult. seacatsmew) Loners Thresh(Male Shadow Cat. Lots of white fur, black skin, one horn-like thing growing on one side of his head, red eyes, black claws, short tail. Adult. Can blend into shadows and conjur images with them. He hates light and only comes out at night to hunt, stalking dragons that come into his territory at night. IceFyr1928) Lune(Female. Very dark gray fur, almost black, about 4 feet tall. Dark gray eyes, short, sharp claws. Special ability is stalking, can use any living things shadow. girlfairy76) Mariposa(Female. Child, so two feet tall. Bright blue eyes, almost black fur that's blue. Long, sharp claws, and sabretooth cat fangs. Special ability is making 'birdcages' out of Pesadilla's shadows, or shadows from the moon(or a new moon). Helps out Pesadilla. Cages can't be broken by anyone but another Shadow Cat. seacatsmew) Shadow Cats can also talk in any language, shift into other animals, and do simple spells that have something to do with darkness, or the moon. Or stars. BE WARNED! They are really good at convincing and mind washing... Using only words. Use this to make a Shadow Cat of your own: Name: Age: Gender: Looks: (Describe, no picture) Special Ability: Uses what shadows for special ability?: Clan-helper or loner?: Helps what clan?: Unlimited amount of Shadow Cats allowed. Must have at least one dragon to have a Shadow Cat. Vernero('Them') Poisonous deadly creatures. They have a dragon's head with twisting, sharp and long horns that bend backwards, gray scales, and black eyes. Their teeth are sharper then a Vampire's, and they have two rows of them. Their tongue is like a snakes, but it's purple. Their body looks like a cat's, with gray fur that matches the color of their scales. The fur is really fluffy and sometimes has purple tips. They have wolf legs and paws, only the claws are sharper and longer. The fur is slightly darker then the body's, and the claws are black. The tail is of a snake's, with brighter scales then the rest of the body. It's bigger then a full grown dragon, and is immune to poison. They can poison a creature by lightly tapping it if they want to, and are loyal to those who help them. Some have three dragon heads, all with long necks. But most have one. Some also have bat wings. The ones who have befriended one(ONE PER USER): Dulcamara(The one in the Human Cave, one head, hidden wings) Ask in the OoC for permission to have your dragon as a friend to one- One dragon per Vernero. Is good at escaping, planning, and making others leave her alone. Other than that, just basic dragon skills. Looks:Black, thin but savage. Small for her age. Blue, hypnotizing eyes(Ones that have the darker colors spreading out in rings) History: She was an outcast among her family members which made her unbelievably cold towards others, having no mercy on anyone, and hating being in the company of others. Brutally killed almost everyone in her family, except her younger brother, without remorse, even though they didn't want to hurt her, when she was young. She is able to figure out an opponent's moves and predict them just by watching. Is awful at defending and attacking, better at giving advice and finding weaknesses. Somehow, she can see into the distant future or past when touching something, but the power makes her fall into a coma. Looks: Like a normal lunima, but has a few feathers on her tail. Wears a white pendant shaped like a feather that has 'The brighter the light, the darker the shadows will grow...' carved onto it. History:Her dead mother passed the pendant down to her. She saw a dragon's future filled with power and glory and is determined to find and help this dragon achieve this future. The process lead her to the Blackmoon territory. Clan or loner(What clan?) :Loner, but not for long. Other:Ladies first both. Regards every dragon, apart from the one with power, as tools. But covers that up. When he grew into a mature hatchling, his foster parents suddenly decided to kill him, but failed. He flew away and never came back. Everywhere he went, he was laughed at.
