I think my favorite shows can all be summed up as "buddy cop supernatural mystery" shows. Sometimes it's partners, sometimes it's a team; sometimes the paranormal only peeks through here and there (occasional ghosts, spiritual guidance), sometimes it's blatant. But those are the elements that attract me, it seems. I love:

 

Alien Nation

Quantum Leap

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Angel

The X-Files

Due South

Batman the Animated Series

Gargoyles

 

Other shows that don't exactly fit the mold for me are:

 

St. Elsewhere

Downton Abbey

The Animaniacs

Star Trek (Original, TNG, and DS9) -- I feel like this needs a caveat, because I *love* some episodes and some aspects, but others drive me up the wall.

 

Hm, so I also seem to love ensemble casts and hour-long dramas. And wacktastic cartoons.

I watch a lot of Nickelodeon and Disney Channel because those are usually the only things on that are worth watching (not the biggest fan of reality shows). I've only discovered other shows because my mom likes them.

I don't watch nearly as much TV as I used to (the TV in my apartment only gets local stations and I generally don't have time anyways )

 

But my favorite shows are:

me and my sister like Supernatural, Vampire diaries, once upon a time, grim, smallville, and criminal minds, for the newer ones.

and for the older ones we like gunsmoke, the wild wild west bonanza, pretty much any western the green hornet, starsky and hutch and columbo.
