Oh... I got it by accident without reading the no dorkface part... I have like 16-32th gen Dorkface inbreds but I guess it's still a Dorkface, so sorry!

Hi all!

 

I understand there has been some question relating to the authenticity of my Dorkface Split. I would like to clear up what happened and how he came to be. I had posted about him before in this thread (or perhaps the predecessor thread), but I shall repeat the account.

 

Silmarillion Dorkface Uruloki was produced by a glitch. His mother, who has been deleted from his lineage by TJ, is Istelen Dorkface Uruloki. I will not go into the details of the glitch that made this breeding possible. I realised later that I should have told TJ about the glitch without taking advantage of it and confessed what happened to him. He allowed me to keep the dragon, but deleted the non-Split side of his lineage.

 

The authenticity of his lineage can be attested by Duskspoken, ladiefare, arlymaye and LBD. In fact, one of his offspring resides on ladiefare's scroll. There were probably others who saw it before it was altered, as well, but this has been several years ago and I don't remember who all they were, now.

 

I do take breeding requests for him, please PM me if you would like an egg from him.

I can confirm Elorendil's tale. I remember Ladiefare was very happy to get an "impossible" real split Dorkface.

 

Plus, here is a very nice 3rd gen white Dorkface egg from a Gold/White checker up for grabs (gone). I've been trying to get a gold from this linage for a very long time, but they just won't oblige. But my bad luck is now your good luck.

I want to thank Elorendil for the generous offer made earlier this week! The sad story of the Dorkface Splits was told again about the time I returned to the Cave in 2010, and I was impressed with the tragic tale of true love when I read Elorendil's description for the family. I received an egg a few days ago, http://dragcave.net/lineage/6mmFs, and he just grew up! This has been the most amazing month for me in the Cave, and having a dragon from this line is a dream come true! <3

 

I do plan on breeding for the thread here, if anyone is interested, although I do want to keep the first egg. <3

I caught a very messy White Thuwed today, a genuine one, and it got me thinking of whether any of the other super messy dragons I have were of famous lineages.

 

So, in looking, I found that this Pink Dragon of mine has alleged Dorkfaces in its lineage.

Sir Dorkface of Lag

Devilishly Alternate Dorkface

 

Sir Dorkface of Lag shows up as both a bred dragon and a caveborn dragon in two separate places of this Pink's lineage. This picture compares the two places. His children repeat as well. In fact, Sir Dorkface of Lag shows on that lineage a total of four times. The originals do not show at all.

 

Devilishly Alternate Dorkface is shown as Sir Dorkface of Lag's child in all places he shows up.

 

I wont post Sir Dorkface of Lag's lineage here, since he's not my dragon, but he can be found and clicked on my Pink's. Checking out his lineage shows that he is, in fact, related to The Original Midas Dorkface and The Original Shallynaar and is not caveborn at all.

 

When I tested my Pink's lineage for inbreeding, it was found that he is inbred. But, Sir Dorkface of Lag isnt shown as one of the dragons that show up more than once. Only the original Dorkfaces do, while they dont show on the Pink's lineage at all. I had to use Egg Drop Soup's checker because TAoND wasn't working for such a big lineage.

 

Here's the results of the inbreeding check. Sir Dorkface of Lag doesnt show on there at all, but the originals do.

 

What Im asking of you kind folk here is whether or not my super messy Pink is a real Dorkface or not.

My apologies for such a long, convoluted post, but this is really bugging me. Is it just a lineage glitch? The most inbred dragon ever? Too big for Dragcave? Or is it a false Dorkface?

The lineage pages just show 12 generations back, if the lineage is longer you have to click on the far right side dragons to see the continued lineage. I popped your pink's code (sPhgn) in the inbred checker at Allure of Neglected Dragons with a full scan (luckily DC didn't lag and I got results). It shows your dragon has 281 dragons that appear in the lineage more then once. Sir Dorkface of Lag you were wondering about is in there 4 times, The Original Midas Dorkface is seen 8 times. Yes it is a Dorkface, many times over. For the heck of it I also put your dragon's code in the lineage viewer at Allure of Neglected Dragons to count generations, it came up as a 24th generation dragon.
