Hello! I've been looking around at the Dragon Cave roleplays, and I'd like to do a 1x1 roleplay with the wonderful people here! I'd like to do something like the below, but I'm open to ideas!

-Harry Potter
-Medieval Fantasy
-MODERN Fantasy
-Fantasy... *breathes heavily*
-Hybrid Experiment-stuwf

I wouldn't mind doing something with any of the fantasy stuff. Do you have any ideas or plots that you would want to do.

You've come to the right place for fantasy! (I think...).
I am a slower poster since I'm splitting my writing up with more productive things, but I can do a 1x1 or a group roleplay, whatever you prefer! I'm fine with any sort of fantasy, as well as anything to do with experiments, monsters, hybrids, or what have you; I can do darker stuff too but I'm not as good at romance. To echo Acornia, do you have any plot ideas, or would you like us to bounce ideas off of you? If it's the latter I have plenty of ideas to throw. xd.png

@skwerl56767 @Acornia (assuming I can ping here)

Thanks to both of you for offering! I -hopefully- can take on both of you separately, and as far as specific plots here are a couple I've seen around. Not including HP because it's pretty much a plot on it's own.

- Lab Experiment where humans are ransacked from their home and turned into hybrids, point being to escape.

-A story similar to the Salem Witch Trials where what humans assume are creatures are burned, and while some truly wish to do harm several innocent humanoids or shifters are burned as well. In this situation it's usually one monster and one human.

-I guess a school for monster/creatures/magical peoples? Not fond on these kinds of roleplays, but might as well throw it out there.

-*sigh* I guess something similar to Undertale where a human gets tossed into a monster universe thingy....

-Ummmmmmmm.....magic? Magic.

Ithe Salem witch trials one sounds interesting. Do you have a plot. I can think one up and run it by you if you dont have one.

Hm, not big on the school idea either. tongue.gif Both the witch trials and the experiment ones sound interesting; if the ideas are too boring by themselves I propose a lot of magic and paranormal shenanigans. I don't tend to play human characters, so the weirder the beasts the better! If you can't do two roleplays at once all three of us could do the witch trials one so it's all in one place; that way you aren't spread out too thin and there's always an extra person to interact with in case things slow down.

@skwerl56767 @Acornia (seriously, can someone tell me if this actually does anything?)

I think we should definitely make this a group roleplay if Acornia doesn't mind, on the salem witch trial-based one. I always have a couple ideas, but I'd rather know what y'all think of first. If we can get specifics nailed down, then we could maybe start on characters? We need a somewhat even beast-human ratio for this roleplay.

(no not really. You can private pm someone but otherwise you just post it in this thread.)

I dont mind doing a 1x3 I actually prefer those better.

For the beast people I would imagine that they would be people who are shifters, witches, and vampires kinda thing. Something that can blend in with humans so they wouldn't know.

Alright then, on to characters!

Just to clarify, I want to know who plans on making a bestial character and who plans on making a human, since I'm fine with either.

Since I research basically everything, here lay a list of beasts that could blend in with humans. Starting with Acornia's list and going further.

Witches
Vampires
Werewolves
Demons
Angels
Ghosts/Spirits
Goblins
Elves
Fairies
Giants
Gnomes
Imps
Nokkens
Kobolds
Gremlins
Nymphs
Ogres
Humanoids with clothing that covers non human parts

Pretty much everything I can think of. Anyways, are you guys going for beasts or humans?

I would probably play a male beast.

As for plots i have two. The first starts in town amd leaves, its kinda long. The second they stay in town.

Both needs work but given time and when i know whos playing what i can critique it to fit like a glove and sow up any plot holes.

If you're still interested in taking on another roleplay, I've been meaning to get back into the game! I was once a very active roleplayer but when I got a job and moved into my own place I started writing less and less.

Still, the itch to write is there!

I would love to do something HP related, but anything fantasy would be great too! If you have any other ideas you'd like to play with, let me know!

To spiderbakesale, I'm going to continue that conversation through private messaging, but sure!

As for Acornia and Skwerl, I'll write up a character sheet for you two so we can get going, if you'd like, or we can just post them without any character sheets. I'll play one or two humans, might play a beast later on if I feel the need, one a young adult and the possible other human being a small child. This is, of course, assuming Skwerl is playing a beast based on her (please say I'm right) recent posts.

Do you want to hear one or both of the plot ideas. Personally i like the second one that i have but ill go with which ever.

Eh ill tell them both anyway.

1.) There is a great nation called ( insert a name). The ruler is a human by the name......... a relative, possible a cousin, wanted the throne so they brainwashed a beast man ( a general term for anyone who is not human, can be changed to something else.) Who killed the queen and took her place as a pin reigning terror upon the humans.

The humans retaliate by killing all beast man or anyone suspected to be one.this is where our characters would come in. There town mayor is killing people right and left because he is afraid of dieing from a beastman attack, who some attack as a retaliation to them being killed. So they hear whispers of the new ruler being a beastman but know one has really seen him and they travel to the kingdom of( insert a name) to plead with the beastman kind. But through certain non thought of events yet they find out that he was just a pon for the Queen's cousin.

So they have to get close and kill him. And there is a couple of endings to this. Human rules, beastman rules, or a joint rulership between beastman and human.

2.) The villagers are going missing and the humans dont know why. Blaming it on the beast people they start to hang them and drowned them. The characters set out around the village to kind and talk to people eventually finding out that it wasnt a beastman but a forgotten deity. They have to kind a way to kill it without alerting anyone to what they are. But upon killing it they through there little town/region into a imbalance of "spiritual power" so someone has to take its place. I suggest a human with the beastman as worshippers so they dont fall into a forgotten deity.

Theirs more to both just let me know which one if eother you want to do and ill fill it out more. Again you don't have to do either but this are two that followed a Salem witch trail kind theme. In both humans are looking to kill anything non human or suspected of being non human.

Heh, you guys took off while I was asleep! Yeah, I plan on playing either a beast or a spectral character; I'm leaning toward spectral, maybe something that can only interact with the physical world through other living things (potential character pairing?); if I go with this I might have two characters, one beast and one human. I haven't decided upon anything beyond that, since I design my characters based on the plot. As for the plot, I like both ideas! As long as there's a presence of magic still around, forbidden, universal, or otherwise, it'll work for me.

Sorry!
I have to go soon, but both plots are great! I guess Skwerl can decide, since I need to leave...

(1 seems too lengthy and improbable considering most roleplays, though)

Decision, decision, um... I'm the worst at decisions. xd.png I could work with either plot, although I would like something unique. Problem is, I'm not sure which of the two roleplays is a more common plot. Pooooossibly Plot #1?
Hm... are there other details for Plot #2? I'm trying to figure out how the forgotten deity is causing chaos, how the villagers are supposed to banish it, and how they're going to have to replace it in the end and/or deal with whatever instability that follows. The more details the better!

well I guess if anchiale cant rp then we don't have to stick to those. if you have anything else you want to do lay it out there. I love anything fantasy and like making weird characters or beautiful characters so anything that has to do with fantasy im game for more so if its got slight romance in it. but if we stick with those then ill probably go with the 2nd.

this was the backstory to plot 2, hopeful it clears it up.

at the beginning of creation the gods had children who were lesser beings. they placed them on the planet as a playground for them while they went and did there godly stuff, idk what that is. over time though the children grow lonely as the planet was to big for them and they where spread far and few between so they made lesser beings. some were humans while others were (mythical creatures) each race takes after the deity that made them.

for many years the spent the time in peace and the deity's watched over there people and came to rely on there worship as a kind of energy, food source if you will. but some seen this coming and choose to roam the land. those that did don't worry about the humans forgetting to worship them because they were never tied down. but they never know happiness like the ones who did.

the ones who did would take up residence in in lakes and mountains of a region tying them selves to the land to help there children survive.

but like many things over time they are forgotten and lost in time and books no longer hold records of them. with there names forgotten and no one to worship them the grew tired and hungry. eventually they turn on the very children that they had tied themselves to the land for.

they would corrupt the land and kill innocents that got to close. in some cases they would even wipe out entire towns in there lonely and corrupted state.

----

so in the town that is what has happened. the locals have forgotten that deity and it fell and started killing. but of course the humans are blaming what they cannot explain on the mythical creatures.

thorough events the characters would see it and maybe even talk to it before it tries to kill them and it gives them a idea on what it is. but a traveler of another deity comes by and tells them what it is and how to kill it. excited but they don't have the materials around to make the weapon so they would have to search the surrounding areas for the stuff while trying to dodge it and the other villages. once they make the weapon they can kill it and then the land would become unstable do to the lack of magic. (imagine a drug addict trying to stop cold turkey kind of thing) so then they would a) convince another deity to take over or cool.gif have someone human or otherwise step up and take the spot. there would have to be work with b.

yeah im not really good with coming up with unique plots that would be based on the idea of another. but at least there is one, well two actually, so we have something to follow if we actually decide to continue.

Hm, (if you don't mind me nitpicking) I'm not a huge fan of the gods-having-children part, but that's because I see it a lot. Then again, it doesn't look like it plays a big part of the plot, which is fine. As for the forgotten deity killing out of loneliness, it's an interesting idea but it's also kind of... sad. xd.png Maybe something more threatening? Maybe this particular deity is ruthless or went crazy or something, and it's trying to find a way to force people to believe in it via a show of power (which ends up killing people and giving obscure/lacking evidence as to why). So basically it's extreme desperation instead of loneliness or plain hunger due to neglect; it would be more survival-based on the deity's part. Perhaps the humans decided that it was a fault of the magical beasts because only humans were dying as well, which explains that, and if there's a crazy deity on the loose it has to upset the spectral plane and make the deceased upset too, which could cause magical activity, and if the humans aren't as tuned in to magical things then that's another reason for them to blame the beasts... I'm having fun with this. xd.png Everything else sounds like fun too! So Plot #2, then?

Oh, I should probably ask: Will we be re-purposing this thread for the roleplay, or starting a new thread? If the latter, who should start it? I'm a decent OP keeper, but Anchiale is the one who started this thread in the first place and the plot idea is Acornia's...

I'm ok with starting a new thread. It doesnt matter who posts it to me but i may not be very good at it. And i like your idea for why the deity was killing people better.
