Story

Written by seacatsmew, Acornia and ShadowMonster.

Being taken to a magical world, against your will, and without any knowledge of the plans is always fun, isn't it? Especially when the locals expect you to save the world.

Welcome to Nalom. Nalom is a rather lovely world, full of lush forests and quaint little cities. The world is, quite literally, alive; she is her own spirit. If you ignore the occasional skirmish between locals, the world is very alluring; typically they don't end too seriously, at least. In fact, if there hadn't been a panic risen lately over the gods fighting for the fate of the world, it would've been hard to tell anything was wrong! But... the chaos is hard to miss, since there's also parts of the land collapsing. Thankfully, only parts of the forest and one town have been taken so far. The casualties have been minimal; those in the woods tend to be a bit more attentive to the changes and warnings of something about to drop, after all. Well usually.

The natives of the land have amazing powers and are fantastic beasts (*snicker*) – nearly anything imaginable – from possessing wings or spitting acid to being a harpy or a merperson.

But now, there’s humans. Some of us have been dragged into this world of magic and chaos. Ancient prophecy predicted all the events happening, though the ending of the prophecy was lost with time.

There are two goddesses and a god. There’s Terra, the main goddess of Nalom. Then there’s Lumiere, the goddess of light, and Zalam, the god of darkness. The three balanced each other out. But now Zalam craves more power, but he and Lumiere are of equal power. So he went to the mages of Nalom and told them that if they would help him find a way to kill Lumiere so he could absorb her power he would give them immortality, eternal youth and unimaginable power.

Obviously they said yeah.

So the mages find and prefect a mastery version of the tome life link. With it they can tie the life of one to the life of another with equal power. So the life link Terra (Nalom) to Lumiere and start to destroy Terra with magic which effected Lumiere.

The citizens of this crazy world depend on you... Seems like it's time to be a hero, hmm? Or try to escape and save yourself. Really, it's up to you; whatever you want to do.

Would you like to leave this world to ruin, or try to save it from the brink of death?

Characters

Username: ShadowMonster

Name: Alexa Graham

Age: 19

Gender: F

Appearance: 5'10, 123 lbs. Her slightly wavy caramel hair has brown highlights and just lightly brushes her shoulder. She has side swept bangs. Her brown eyes have a slight hint of green. Her face is rectangular shaped and her skin is light tan. She has a faint scar on the top of her right foot from when she was chopping fruit and dropped the knife. A typical outfit for her in the summer consists of a tank top or t-shirt with a pair of jean shorts or capri leggings. When colder she dons a long sleeve shirt with a jacket and a pair of jeans or sweats.

Personality: Friendly and talkative. She likes to try to give people the benefit of the doubt and will attempt to be kind to them even if they're rude. She was never really bullied in school because she never really cared what others thought. Others opinions of her aren't given a second thought but if she sees someone else being picked on she's knock them on their butt in a second. She goes out of her way to make anyone she sees who's depressed happy, even a bully. When it comes to planning she thinks things through down to the last detail, except for all the details that she forgets; she's extremely forgetful and a bit disorganized, except when it comes to desks and shelves, etc; her work-spaces are always neat and tidy, but the rest of her apartment looks like a game of Jumanji took place in it. Her life is pretty much an open book. Her default emotion is chill. She can be pretty stubborn and unintentionally blunt at times but has a good heart.

Native or outsider: Outsider

Power/species: n/a

History: She was born on the west coast but lived in a quaint, small town on the east coast until age 12 when her mother left and her father moved them to New York, New York. She, her father, and her two younger brothers lived in a two bedroom apartment with a beautiful view of a dumpster. Every night she'd leave a bowl of water by the dumpster for any stray cats or dogs. When she was 14 she started walking dogs, watering plants and feeding pets for neighbors who were away, and babysitting for money. Her father was an accountant by day and bartender by night. On her 16th birthday she got a job at a local cafe and still kept up with her other odd jobs. She enjoyed it, it never bothered her that she had to work. She made sure there was always time to hang out with her friends and make almost all of their birthday parties, or at least get them a card with a gift card. At 18 she bought herself an apartment in the same building where she'd been living, only two floors down from her father and brothers.

Other: Her favorite snacks are fudge and potato chips (rarely together). Her father signed her and her brothers up for basic self defense as soon as they moved to New York and he also taught her how to shoot a gun. Her brothers are 15 and 13

Username: SM

Name: Miranda "Randi" Larson

Age: 22

Gender: F

Appearance: 5'7, 137 lbs. She's a bit muscular, but not grotesquely so. Her black hair is usually kept up in a bun, but goes down a few inches past her shoulders when not. She has a single streak of neon blue in her hair on the right side. Her face is diamond shaped. She has cool, light brown skin and sharp, greyish-blue eyes. She has a birth mark under her left ear. A typical warm-weathered outfit for her would be a t-shirt with some kind of design on it and leggings. Her usually winter clothing is a sweater, jacket, fingerless gloves, and sweat pants. Her usual work-out clothing is an old t-shirt and shorts or sweats, depending on the temperature.

Personality: She's typically pretty quiet and anti-social. She tries not to get into other peoples business and appreciates it when they do the same. When forced to converse with people she typically keeps it short, sweet and to the point. She can be blunt and full of sass when she honestly isn't meaning to be, or when she is. She's kinda self conscious but tries to not let it control what she does or how she acts; she refuses to act fake. She loves hearing jokes but hates her laugh so she'll try to contain it.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Able to turn herself into any mammal she's come in physical contact with.

History: She grew up her entire life in a good-sized town called Starfall on the edge of a large forest. She grew up with no siblings and few friends. She quickly found other ways to entertain herself; music and art quickly became favorite pass times of hers. By the time she was 12 she was skilled at drawing, painting, piano, writing, etc. One day, when she was 13, while running away from some girls who were bullying here, she fell down a steep hill. Her right hand was broken in multiple places. It didn't fully heal correctly, making it a bit difficult to do her favorite activities, but not impossible. With a bit of magic and therapy it was nearly good as new; the only sign there was ever something wrong was a dull ache if she over-worked her hand. She vowed to never let that happen to her again and began working out daily. She learned how to defend herself and how to fight back. The next time she was picked on, was also the last time. She ended up with a bloody nose, but that was nothing compared to the other girls broken nose, hand, and tooth. At 19 she moved out and bought a small house near the edge of the town. She got a job at a clothing shop. Her parents moved away to Bloomfield after she turned 20.

Other: She wears contacts. She owns two fancy rats named Ross and Willa.

Username: SM

Name: Matthew Ellis

Age: 23

Gender: M

Appearance: 6'1, 155 lbs. He's well built. His strawberry blonde hair is in a crew cut. His blue eyes sparkle. He has warm, tan skin and a handsome, square face. He has a small scar on the right side of his chin. His usual outfit is a plain t-shirt with a plaid shirt over it paired with blue jeans.

Personality: The top word used to describe him would be curious. He's one of those kids who would take things apart to figure out how they worked. He loves adventuring and exploring, figuring things out and experimenting. No challenge is too much for him. Socializing isn't a forte of his, but if forced to he does his best to make it not be awkward. He's not one to complain, he keeps that all to himself and tries to ignore pain. He tends to be rash and not think things through beforehand, which has gotten him a few broken bones. Fun is one of his main motivators.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Able to teleport to any location within his sight.

History: His older brother died when Matt was just 5. After that he and his parents moved almost every two years, sometimes three if he was lucky. Most of his time was spent wandering around town or the nearest forest if there was one nearby; if there wasn't a good forest he settled for a park. His parents never really seemed to notice his absence, or maybe they just didn't care, he never really found out. When he was 15 they moved to a larger city where he began working. He bounced around jobs just like he'd bounced around towns his entire childhood. From waiter, to car washer, to cashier, to pizza delivery boy, and even a potion brewer's assistant (that was certainly had to be one of the shortest, but most fun, jobs), he tried nearly everything he could. At 18 he packed up and left. He returned to Starfall, one of his favorite places that he'd lived.

Other: He hates it when he's called Matthew; he prefers Matt.

Username: seacatsmew

Name: Divina Mayler

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Dark red kept in a braid that either rests over her shoulder or hanging behind her, and almond-shaped hazel eyes. A heart-shaped face and a pear-shaped body, and lightly tanned skin; 5'6", 145 lbs. She tends to wear loose clothing, such as oversized sweaters and boot-cut jeans, or long-sleeved shirts in the summer; She's not very picky about her clothes, as long as they aren't too revealing; However, she tends to always have a necklace or two on her. Third time's the charm!

Personality: Tends to take risks. Sympathetic but tends to often break 'rules', and go against what others tell her to do. She's a bit reckless and impulsive, and has a habit of rearranging things; Even if there's no reason behind it. She doesn't really like dealing with others too much, but will do so if needed, though she tends to be kind of bossy. She's had an interest in magical beings ever since she was young, and tends to have her head in the clouds a bit.

Native or outsider: Outsider

Power/species: N/A

History: She was born into a higher class family, and was taken care of well; Her every need was tended to. She wasn't especially talented at anything, although she took an interest in medicine; She focused on improving her skills in that specific area after she turned 14. Around 16, she picked up a job helping out at a local clinic; Finding that she enjoyed it, she kept it up, learning more along the way.

Other: Quite skilled with medical things.

Username: seacatsmew

Name: Kimon Mimoza

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Appearance: Something similar to this. While his wings are larger and his feet happen to be that of a crow's, he otherwise looks quite human, with pale skin and white hair, along with piercing blue eyes. He tends to wear clothes that almost seem to blend into his wings, the colors near or exactly the same, but otherwise tends to wear sleeveless formal clothing and loose jeans. His ears resemble a great horned owl's, almost, producing from his head in feathery tuffs of an iridescent black. His hair only reaches a bit past his shoulders and somehow always remains straight, and he tends to look rather serious. There's scars along his sides, but they're always hidden; They were from crashing through trees when he was little and trying to fly. 5'9".

Personality: Somewhat if a pacifist, disliking conflict; When given the choice 'fight or flight', he typically chooses flight. Somewhat shy, surprisingly, and nervous around others, though most wouldn't suspect so at first. He tends to hide away from strangers, staying quiet and almost seeming cold at first before he warms up, which is when he turns into a giant feathery sap. He's very protective of friends and will care for them more than he cares for himself, even, along with putting them as priority instead of him. He's not very good at hiding his panic over the world being destroyed, often making quiet and worried chirps out of seemingly nowhere, and then proceeding to get embarrassed over it. Can be a bit of a perfectionist.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: A harpy of sorts. Capable of flight and making bird sounds, along with understanding different tones of chirps.

History: He was raised within the forests, making friends with the birds within, and raised by his two parents and older sister. While he didn't know many other beings within, he preferred it that way, favoring the company of the birds over the company of the more humanoid creatures. When he began flying, he was a bit of a klutz, often falling through branches; This gained him quite a few scars, but didn't deter him in the slightest. He learned how to fly around eight years, as his sister left to find a part of the forest to call her home. His life was fairly average, overall, his parents passing from old age- It was when the world started falling apart that his life changed more, as his sister was one of the few casualties the world had taken. Terrified and despaired, he began moving through the forests more, paranoid that he'd be the next.

Other: Has a collection of odd and abandoned trinkets he found in the forest.

Username: seacatsmew

Name: Elinthine, but Elin works fine

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Appearance: With the lower body of a golden orb weaver spider- a picture of one is here, if you'd like to see- and the upper half of a human female, she's hard to miss. While her lower half is fairly simple, her top has an abnormal, almost golden skin tone, speckled with white dots. She has five black eyes, arranged in a semicircle on her face, and rather sharp fangs- It's easy to tell that you shouldn't let her bite you. Her hair falls into two messy white braids, and she tends to wear blouses that are too big for her, hiding her hands and slightly falling over the front of her body.

Personality: Cruel and cunning, Elinthine is an opponent not to be taken lightly. Looking down on all other species, even those she works with, she doesn't seem to trust anyone other than herself- But for good reason, as she's been betrayed many times in the past. Rather easily swayed with the promise of food; She's sort of a glutton.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Half spider, half human, Elin is a bit of a threat. She has the ability to spin webs and walk on them without an issue, and is capable of climbing walls surprisingly easily- Though she'll fall off the ceiling. She also has quite the poisonous bite. But no one ever really comes close enough for her to bite them, and also, if you bring a spider stick- one of those really long branches that help knock spider webs down- then she's sort of. Really not that much of a concern. Minus the wall thing.

History: Shunned and outcasted by many for looking so monstrous, Elin was taught from an early age to fear and hate many other species for their treatment. While many saw her as 'lesser', having less human than spider-like qualities, she saw them as lower than her, and began preying on the natives. At an older age, she was approached by a mage who had been included in the deal with Zalam. It didn't take much for her to agree to help.

Other: Honestly just feed her and she's happy to help whoever-

Username: seacatsmew

Name: Ella Barrett

Age: 32

Gender: Female

Appearance: With her blonde hair in an inverted bob, and her grey-blue eyes always seemingly in a tired glare, Ella is not like wine. Her looks have not 'improved over the ages'. No, she just looks more tired than ever. Her skin is fairly pale and she wears a white lab coat, and a name tag that reads 'Dr. Barrett'. There's blue scrubs underneath- And she always carries bandages, gauze, and disinfectant spray on hand.

Personality: If there was one word to describe her, it would be tired. Used to dealing with unappreciative patients and impatient people, Ella is very sarcastic and blunt at times, but her work always comes first. She refuses to take anything rude from anyone, and will frequently put people down if they act like they're better than everyone else. She really needs a vacation. And not this kind of vacation.

Native or outsider: Outsider.

Power/species: N/A

History: Working as a doctor ever since she reached 23, Ella graduated medical school and moved onto actual work with people. Originally, she was very happy to work with people and help. She quickly learned that it wasn't all that people said it was, but determination pressed on. She wanted to help. And, sadly, becoming a children's doctor was not an option. She's had a fairly okay life, otherwise, on good terms with her family and boss.

Other: Probably the most likely to threaten someone if they don't let her focus on something.

Username: Acornia

Name: Rain

age: 24

gender: male

appearance: Rain stands at about 5'4". So hes a little shorter than your average male. He has long mahogany red hair that is half tied up in braids that hang down to the small of his back. Sitting on the crest of his head sit to inky jet black ears, they are long and wide like those of a fennec fox. He had a short lean body that helps in hiding and maneuvering easily through the woods. Starting at the smallo of his back just above his butt starts the curve of two long full twin tails. Both in inky black at the tips. His hands and feet resemble that of a humans but have small claws for nails. He wears a loose light brown pair of pants that wrap snuggly around his ankles and was it. His shirt is a pristine white, short sleeve covered by a deep red vest that laces up the front.

Personality: he is fairly quite and withdraw. Seldomly does he talk to people, prefering to be more the listener than a talker. He tends not to get attached to people because of his line of work. But for those lucky few that stick out his rough exterior see a softer side of him. Those he gets to know and considers friends he tends to open up to a little more. Those are the ones that he will fight for and look after.

Native/outsider: Native

Powers/species: kitsune, he has small control over fire. But like his kind, will grow with age. (I think its like for every 200 years they get another tail and that adds to their power.) So for now he's kinda weak. He has good "assassin skills"

History: when Rain was just a pup his family was attacked because of the power they held, people feared that they would side with the ones trying to bring about the downfall of the world, thus this familys death. However he managed to escape into the surrounding woods. There he wondered, until a passbyer in a dark cloak found him, taking pity on the young fox pup he took him in and started to train him in combat, weapons, and strategy. At a older age of about 10 he learned that his master was a assassin, working as a mercenary. Rain took up jobs with his master until he was sent on a mission that changed his view on life. Now he works odd jobs, not liking this his master kicked him out. Abandoned yet again and left to wonder he hopes and prays that "third time's the charm" when he gets picked up by someone new. His name is rain because when master found him it was raining, not knowing his name and because rain wouldnt talk, master named him rain ,after the sad sky he sat under the day he was found.

Other: Rain doesnt like to take about himself, he loves to lazy about in the sun. He hates the rain, as it stands as a symbol of what happened. Along with lazing in the sun he likes the company of others just not being in the others spotlight. He loves sweet food and eating candy and sitting down with a book in his spare time.

Native or outsider: native

Power/species: his human side is that of the white stage, they are omens of good fortune so naturally people tend to have slightly better luck around him. also he is more in tone with the planet and can involuntary make plants grow where he steps. can heal small wounds nothing major, tends not to though because that would take away from future food source.

his second form is that of the wendigo, he has heightened senses and power physically. wendigos are also omens of bad luck and death. those who see one generally don't live long.

History: dauoa has always traveled from town to town in search of food. every town he has come to has taken him in as all they could see was the white stag part of him. gaining a place to stay and food to eat, whether it was human or not is up in the air. he will eat die things if needed. after a while the towns people would start to question why animals and people where coming up dead and eaten. when it got to the people suspecting him he would leave to the next town. now all he wishes is for a place to settle down and people to call friends and family. although the excessive hunger gets to him sometimes.

Other: dauoa carries a white deer skull mask on him when he is in his stag form that is the key to him changing. if he lost it he would be stuck in that state. if someone broke the mask he would die so anyone that has know is died. other than that dauoa is weak in the stag form and relatively weak in the wendigo state.

He has one fox tail that on occasion appears though the tip of his tail is a brilliant emerald green which comes down from the tip of his tail in the shape of a lightning bolt, he also has green tipped ears when they appeaHe usually wears a pair of faded dark blue or black jeans with the knees ripped slightly. He likes to wear colored t-shirts though his favorite is green, he also has green tipped ears when they appear. He wears a hoody most of the time though it is unzipped, the hoody is camoflauged for the water so it sticks out in the forest. His most prized thing is a little white and gold ball that he has tied many knots around to make sure it would not drop. His claws are short but very sharp when they appear, he rarely uses them though as he tries his best to hide his features.

Personality: Phill is a really loving and caring prankster, enjoying to misplace other people's items from time to time. He is usually very very honest though protects certain aspects of his life. He usually puts up a front where he will pretend to trust someone since he hates to be alone but to find someone he will stick up for or lay his life on the line for is very very rare. He has yet to find someone he could trust and that could understand his front and continue to earn his trust through it. He will always care and protect the ones who he learns to trust.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Thunder kitsune. Phill is able to control electricity and store it in his body for later use up to twenty four hours. He also has the ability to levitate or glide though this can only been done with extreme concentration. His last power is he can make small illusions though no bigger than a book. His weakness is he can be controlled if anyone gets his kitsune ball, the gold and white ball hanging from his neck. He is also still young so there are times where his electricity just doesn't work or is so small it only feels like stattic electricity from touching a metal chair after dragging your feet across a carpet.

History: Phill grew up surrounded by other kitsunes that all hated most other species and attacking anything other than kitsunes on sight. He never knew why, he was too young to understand why they were afraid. One fateful day his mother and father took him out of the small "town" to show him around. He saw a few butterflies and jumped around trying to catch it but to no success. Feeling upset he sat down but was met with his father nudging him. "Don't give up son, the third time's the charm." Phill smiled but as he jumped his family was attacked by hunters who wanted to take them and use them as slaves. Phill ran as fast as he could until he wound up in the small village he now resides in, he never had anyone and was always alone in the empty werehouse that he still calls home and has been for eight years now.

Other: Phill loves storms as he feels more powerful during them. He is afraid being alone, though he enjoys time to read whatever type of book he could get his hands on. He is always practicing when he is not reading he wants so badly to fly so that he could fly into storm clouds and feel the electricity surge theough him. He is not much of a fighter prefering to try and sneak past any sort of danger but knows a little about how to fight having had to to survive.

Username: Padfoot

Name: Hector

Age: 84 (He doesn't act his age)

Gender: Male i guess

Appearanc e: Due to the unusual memnic phenomenon that is present while Hector is being observed, the true nature of his appearance is unknown. When directly observed, Hector appears as a tall, huminoid figure with huge wings and glowing yellow eyes. The details of his body is obscured by a semi-transparent veil of smoke (That may or may not be really there) that makes him appear to be slightly out of focus.

Best know picture of Hector X

Personality: Hector, despite his disturbing physiology, is a rather soft spoken and polite creature. He would much rather observe that interven. He is opinionated but is rarely vocal about it. He is usually inclined to help during times of trouble or disaster. This helpful nature may stem from his unwavering guilt he feels whenever something goes wrong.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Owlman. Hector has the passive ability to project his image in random locations around the human world. Wherever he is observed, disaster is soon to follow. It is currently unknown if this is caused by his presence or if it purely prophetic.

History:Hector does not remember anything that resembles a childhood and only describes it as "becoming". He was "born"with full knowledge of his physical form and a long string of disasters that happened in both the human world and Nalom. Hector seems to wander aimlessly, arriving in a location moments before something bad happens. This makes it difficult to make friends but this fact does not seem to bother Hector

Other: I apologize in advance for any stupid spelling mistakes I might miss. I'm writing using a cheap bluetooth keyboard. I've already broken two, maybe third times the charm

Username: Sugar-Free

Name: Abhainn (Owen)

Age: Indeterminant

Gender: Male

Appearance: Abhainn is a kelpie-taur, the child of a kelpie mother and an elven father. His coat is a black-green color, so dark it nearly registers as completely black. In the light, the sheen of his fur is a rust-red color. These traits are mirrored in his hair, which falls around his face and trails back to form his mane. Hanging throughout his hair are hornwort and salvinia, with a single strand of red lobelia seemingly clipped at the side of his head. Though silky-smooth, his hair always has a dampness to it.

Abhainn has two small, white horns curving up from his forehead, often concealed by the sheer amount of hair. His teeth are rather sharp, with the canines being particularly dagger-like. His ears are long and equine, but are noticeably frilled. Abhainn’s eyes are a light red color, and all four of his feet have four hooves each, with webbing in between the toes. There are spurs on the back of the feet.

Personality: Abhainn is a lonesome sort of person. He has spent his life travelling across Nalom, only recently settling in a bog not far from a settlement called Seberholm. Due to his nature (as well as his heritage), he doesn’t typically go out in search of companionship. He can be standoffish, unused to interaction with others aside from being potential food sources, and usually speaks in a dismissive and deadpan voice.

Abhainn is opposed to flat-out murdering his prey, preferring to allow natural drownings in his mire or coaxing them in with the promise of gold and jewels, after which they become captivated and drown themselves in greed. This is only when the need for sentient flesh consumes him; otherwise, he tries to make due by travelling to rivers to catch fish, or foraging for berries and fruit in the forests. He does occasionally draw people onto his back, but he’ll let them go unless they’re especially elderly. To try to dissuade this behavior, he’s formed a makeshift saddle out of stinging nettles and poisonous mushrooms.

He can be a bit of a pushover, and can be easily coerced into matters that don’t concern him. However, he becomes headstrong in regards to his most honored beliefs.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Kelpie-taur. Can morph into a clear, thin substance to hide in bodies of water or fit into small spaces that require him to be inconspicuous. Cannot be boiled!

History: Abhainn was born in the misty forests of a distant vale. His mother, a kelpie named Aine, was the captive showhorse of a noble elven house, taken by the reins in a display of competitive showmanship. The son of the duke that had stolen her, named Caltise, took pity on her, and released her from her confines, after which they soon eloped and wed.

While the conception of Abhainn was purposeful, the prospect of bearing a centauroid child had been neither documented nor expected. When Aine bore her son, she recoiled in horror—an elven child fused to the body of a foal! After coming to terms with his uncanny form, the two realized that the world likely would not, and abandoned him in a river, hoping he would return to the waters he was borne from.

However, a nomadic clergy discovered him and took him in and named him, believing him to be the mortal incarnation of the water spirits they gave thanks to. They raised him, teaching him to have a love for all beings, as was the way of their spirit guardian.

However, once Abhainn reached the human equivalent of 20 years, he became feverishly obsessed with thoughts of dragging his friends and family into the water and devouring them. After a fit where he took the life of a minister in secret, he fled away to protect the lives of the people who had been kind enough to give him a life worth living. Since then, the clergy has proliferated, spreading the word of Abhainn, and how the Water Child will return, only showing himself to those he’s chosen to bless.

In truth, Abhainn hid himself away across the world, only making himself known to those he takes to the grave. He’s turned his back to society in fear, of himself and the mindless adoration the townsfolk show toward him.

Name: Isuntsu

Age: Indeterminant

Gender: Male

Appearance: In his dragon form, Isuntsu looks quite like a winged bush viper. He has shard-like iridescent scales running the length of his body which gradate from a peacock-green on his back to purple near his scutes. His wings are feathered, and the back of the wings are a similar iridescent color to the top scales, while the inside feathers are a light purple that shift their tints and shades with the light. Color Reference

In Isuntsu's human form, he has his green-to-purple hair tied in a messy bun. His arms are to-human-scale versions of his wings, with three digits for mobility (two fingers and a thumb), and his barbed tail is evident. His feet are taloned, and he has two scaled horns poking through his hair.

Personality: Isuntsu is a vain wyvern, He shares the voracious appetite for gold and jewels as his draconic cousins, and has an unquenchable thirst for self-adulation whenever he can manage it. He usually regards other life forms as meals, but will accompany anyone who regards him as the treasure he views himself to be. He greatly enjoys a good proposition, and likes to con men out of their belongings and their lives.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Feathered Wyvern. Can spit a corrosive acid and assume a human form. The barb on his tail can deliver a deadly neurotoxin.

History: Isuntsu comes from an especially affluent family of Jeweled Wyverns. Never one to uphold mortal values, he parted off from his flock as soon as he could bear his wings. Not too long after, he slew his father and kidnapped his mother, offering her back to them at the cost of an entire clan's worth of riches. Since then, he's holed in a high-up mountain, far away from greedy, prying eyes, looked upon by only the most determined (and utterly foolish) folk.

He keeps quiet about the more intimate details of his life, and it always seems like he's slightly on edge about something hidden within him.

Other: He seems especially clingy to an fire opal cabochon that he keeps embedded in his chest. When he transforms into a human, it shifts into a necklace.

Appearance: This is their most common form. Though instead of two tails, they have four. They also have This and This form. Other than this, they wear this necklace in any form.

Personality: Saren, is, well...they're a child. 400 is a young age for a kitsune, and as such, they're hardly mature. As such, they're irrational and childish.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Kitsune. They have excellent control over reality, and as such, can morph it to their liking.

History: Saren has many, many siblings in their home country. Becoming their own person was impossible on such a small island. Upon reaching the age of 100, they packed up and left to explore the world.

Name: Magnus Schierber

Age: about 38

Gender: Male

Appearance: This, with the coloration of the Eurasian Magpie

Personality: Magnus is an easy to please, eager to please young man. He's bubbly, cheerful, and enthusiastic. However, Harpies are not clean or pleasant creatures. "Nice" for a Harpy isn't that of most civilized creatures.

Native or outsider: Native

Power/species: Magnus is a Harpy, and as such, he has all the abilities of said creature. Admittedly, they possess little supernatural abilities. They are stronger, faster, and arguably smarter than humans. Their sharp eyesight and hearing, as well as razor sharp talons, make them excellent predators.

History: Male harpies aren't common. In fact, they;re very rare. Jealously coveted by harpy clans, a male harpy is lucky to see the world beyond the clan's home. Magnus was smuggled from his home as a child by his mother and was raised in secret away from their native clan. Nalom was a safe place to do this. Raised in Nalom since he was little, he seems out of place in such a civilized world.

His skin is tan and only marked by a scar from the left collar bone almost to his right nipple from an old fight he was in as a young teen. Phill has dark brown hair that just barely covers his eyes, usually moved to cover only his left eye, he has streaks a emerald green through his hair as well.

Alexa groaned. It felt like there was a volcano erupting and spewing lava through her head. "Ouch," something was stabbing into her side but she couldn't get her body to move to remove the pain. Light flooded her eyes as soon as she opened them, causing the pain in her head to increase. She squinted and blinked rapidly. Above her leaves rustled due to a gentle breeze. Light sporadically broke through the trees.

"Where am I? How did I get here?" Questions flooded her mind. She inhaled deeply to help stay calm; it was even difficult for her to stay calm in such a strange situation. As she pulled a stick from her side, she sluggishly raised her self to take in her surroundings.

In every direction it was trees as far as the eye could see. Using a tree for support, Alexa drug herself to her feet. She closed her eyes and leaned against the tree until the nausea subsided. After a few wobbly steps and nearly falling, she managed to balance herself and walk normally. She began wandering in a random direction.

Miranda had the day off from work and decided to spend it doing one of her favorite activities: sitting alone in the forest with a good book. She sat on a thick, flat branch about 10 feet off the ground. After sitting on the same branch for two hours straight, her legs were in need of a stretch and her butt felt numb. She pushed her floral book mark into the book to save her place, shoved the book into her bag and slipped off the branch onto the ground. Leaves and twigs snapped and crunched under her boots as she walked away, deeper into the woods.

Matthew strolled into the best cafe in town - he would know, he'd worked at almost every single one - and got in line behind two ladies. His gaze wandered around the cafe as he waited patiently.

"Hot chocolate and a chocolate chip muffin, please, to go," He ordered with a small smirk. He paid and returned to observing the people around him as he waited. To his right he recognized two enchanters sipping coffee. A few tables over was one of the librarians, a tailor, and a potion brewer. He recognized about half of the people in there because, at one point or another, he had worked with them. A couple he simply tell from looking at them.

Matt flinched slightly when he heard his name called; he'd been so caught up watching others he'd completely forgotten why he was there. He nodded to the guy behind the counter and grabbed his hot chocolate. He took a bite out of his muffin as he went to leave.

Phill stretched out and let out a loud, long yawn. He took in his surroundings as the day before came back to him. It was a beautiful evening and he had decided to go for a run and keep in shape, once out into the woods however he began to practice his levitation and gliding well into the night. He must have fallen asleep in a cave near the clearing he was practicing in. Phill stood up his green tipped ears and tail visible as he didn't feel in any danger of being harassed. He slowly walked on his semi sore legs out into the clearing that was into the woods a retty good distance and began his stretches, the book he was reading forgotten beside a tree. Phill hated the fact that pieces of the forest weresimply vanishing, everyone seems to be talking about it but he wanted to help, unsure how to go about it though not feeling nearly strong enough.

Divina awoke with a start as she felt something brushing against her cheek, closing her eyes tighter as light hit her face. Her bed seemed colder than normal... And why was there a breeze? Had she forgotten to close her window? The blankets must have been underneath her, but they felt rather odd. She moved to roll over, but yelped as she hit something hard instead, eyes blinking open to see...

A tree.

She froze in place, moving to sit up and take in her surroundings properly now. Grass, trees, various other plant life, birds singing... It was all very foreign to her. This wasn't her room, or anywhere near it- She wasn't in her house anymore, definitely, and she didn't remember any forest nearby, anyways.

...Where was she? A forest, it seemed, but- Where? Where was home? ...Had she been kidnapped? But if so- Why here? Why not some building, rather than what seemed to be the middle of the woods? Sure, it was even worse, if Divina was being honest with herself, but...

It all seemed very strange. Too strange, even.

Rising to her feet, she frowned, glancing around. More trees. Yeah, this looked like a forest. After examining herself for any injuries, she began to walk, listening for the sound of water. If she followed a river, she could find her way home, right...?

Kimon yawned as the sunlight filtered through the trees, hitting his face as he woke up. He had been napping for a while, but the mixture of sunlight and... The sound of someone walking? Woke him. But- The sound was a bit too heavy for anyone who wandered the forest daily, so it couldn't be anyone he knew... Curiosity fought against caution as he moved to rise, feet gripping the branch underneath him as he moved further down it.

He peered through the branches, spotting... They looked human, but- He'd never seen them before. With a wider frown, he moved to glide down from the branch, slowly moving to follow out of curiosity.

...She didn't even seem to know where she was. How odd.

A cool light breeze blow across rain drawing him back from the book he was reading. Perking his ears up to attention he listened to the chitter chatter of the animals as the played, fought, and lived.

Rain looked out at his little empty patch, a place he called home now and gave a heavy sigh. Today was going to be long and boring, but at least he was by himself. Closing his small book with a light thud, he stood to his small height of 5'4" and streched. Working muscles that had fallen asleep, giving way to the tingling sensation in his legs and feet.

Breathing in the crisp forest air rain caught a scent of something that hadn't been there earlier. It waft up his noise and took all of his attention, smelling slightly of maybe good sweet honey and melon. it was intoxicating and curiosity now had the best of him. Looking down the way the scent was coming from he took off at a brisk pace.

Watching for branches and twigs under food he slide through the forest silently, stopping occasionally to take in the sweet scent making sure he was keeping in the right direction. As the scent draw stronger he stopped to listen to some muffled noises. Ears up and alert he scaned the surrounding forest, turning his head sharply at times when a particular noise caught his attention.

Starting off slowly and quietly he made his way deeper into the woods, careful as to not make any noise and to stay down wind of the creature that was putting of the scent and making the occasional noise. The closer he got the stronger the scent and louder the noises got.

Holding his breath in fear that said creature would hear him he slide behind a large tree. He could hear the rustling and occasional hard breathing now as what ever it was worked it's self up and then stopped to take a break. Having a second to calm down he slipped into his calm mode, it was like a second skin to him. All emotions where gone, there were dangerous to him now not knowing if this thing was dangerous or not.

Crouching low to the ground rain creeped around the tree to take a look at it. Giving a small gasp and grinding his teeth together his eyes landed on a nother being of intelligence. Standing beside some trees and streching was a kitsune with dark drown hair.

Even from here rain could see the green on his ears and the occasional glint of green in his tail from the sun stricking through the trees and hitting it. He couldnt see much else as the young man was turned away from him. Deciding to stick around, he waited and watched him. He could see his muscles move and flex, he was small probably a hair shorter than rain himself, but he smelled good.

As he sat in silence in the shade of the tree he had taken cover under he watched the young man wondering it it was Cologne that he was wearing. If not then he just naturally smelled nice to him, which was weird.

Phill loved how nice a day it was though he actually would have preferred maybe a pasing storm to store some electricity so that he would feel a little better. He was bent over as he stretched and touched first one tfoot, then the other. His ears twitched as he heard what seemed to be a gasp of some sort though it could have been an animal since he couldn't hear it clearly. Phill looked around and found that with the way the wind was going and from the direction of the noise it could have been an animal that thought he was food. He had the problem quite often since just his natural scent seemed like food to most hungry animals.

Phill let his tail sway in the soft morning breeze while he looked in the direction of the noise. It seemed off to him that the animal wouldn't just attack already and instead seemed to be waiting for something. He took his hoody off as he stared into that direction of forest, his golden eyes gleaming in the sunlight. He continued to face towards the noise as he stretched one arm across his chest at a time. He moved slow as his muscles were still just waking up. He figured that he may as well get ready, his short stature made him look like ideal prey to most predators and as such he had to rely on his powers a lot. Phill tried to get a scent from that direction, his nose twitching slightly as he couldn't get a scent with the wind working against him as he kept getting scents from that direction though he did smell quite a few predatorial animals he could not tell from where. "It is ok i will not hurt you, i am not food though."

(Accepted padfood! smile.gif Glad to know you're still around!)

Every rustle of the leaves and chirp of a bird made Alexa glance around to see if someone else was there. She glanced up into the trees but spotted nothing abnormal. Not looking where she was going proved to be a bad idea as she tripped over a giant root. She landed on her hands and knees, scraping both in the process. As she got back onto her feet she frowned at her hands. She'd done worse.

The feeling she got in this place was disturbing; she felt scared, worried, in danger. Most likely, she was in danger, but she tried to not think too much about that. If she just kept walking, maybe she'd eventually stumble across a town, or a river, or maybe a person who could help her.

A rustling of leaves behind her sent her in motion again, slightly faster than before.

Randi froze at the sound of a twig snapping. A bad feeling flooded her, but why? It was probably just someone else out for a walk. She was rather deep in the forest though. With everything that had been happening lately, most folks from town didn't like to go too deep into the forest.

She changed herself into a squirrel and scurried a little ways up into a tree. She spotted a girl examining herself then begin to walk away. Curiosity overwhelmed Randi, compelling her to follow the girl and see why she was in the forest. She had no idea why she felt so curious about this stranger. Her brain told her she probably shouldn't follow her, she should just go back and sit in a tree and continue reading her book. But she didn't. She followed the stranger from a safe distance, trying to make as little sound as possible

Hector glid lazily overhead a section of dense forest, his large yellow eyes scanning the trees below. He had been "Blown" this way a few hours before. The thing doing the pushing was an unknown force Hector has been following his whole life. Whenever he shows up, its moments before something bad happens. Hector has tried to ignore the tug but it was like an itch. Besides, maybe one day he will be able to do something to prevent a disaster when he shows up.

Maybe today was the day? Hector suddenly pitched forward into a dive and broke through the canopy. He unfurled his wings and flapped himself to a stop upon a branch that appeared sturdy enough to sustain his weight. Hector pulled his wings close around his body making him appear more owl like. His entrance into the canopy was not as silent as he hoped but it didn't matter to him. Due to his unusual cloaking ability, he only appeared as a slightly round mass with glowing eyes. people he has been close with have described it as "being unable to get a good look at ya" even if he was standing inches away. Maybe it made him less noticeable? He didn't know.

Hector suddenly swivled his head to the left at an unusual sound. He squinted to focus on the source of the sound. There! Movement in the trees revealed to him that someone was out for a walk...deep in the woods....He had arrived just in time to witness this female pitch forward and land hard on her hands and knees. If Hector could he would have rolled his eyes. Hardly the disaster he was used to. the owlman spread his blurry wings to take off when he paused. staaaay a voice seemed to wisper on the wind. Really? Hector swivled his head back to the girl, who was now standing and inspecting her hands. Was her disaster not over? It was new that the pull brought him this far ahead of the incident.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
some distance away but in the same forest, a brilliantly colored butterfly drifted peacefully through the trees. It was unsure of where exactly it was or if anything was around but I guess it wouldn't care. It was a butterfly after all. Just a beautiful butterfly.
Rain staired at the young kitsune. He was right in front of him but the other male still could not see him. He could tell from the deep inhales that he was scenting the air, hoping to catch his scent. But it was a clean day with nice breezes blowing about, so catching his scent was next to impossible.
With the smaller kitsune stairing in his general direction he got slightly nervous though. If he noticed him that would be a little troublesome. Specially because hes not good at interacting with people. The last time he had to was when he went to town to get some clothes, the shop keepers daughter took one look at him and cried. So after that indecent he stays away from the public for the most part.
The smell intensified bringing rain back from his trip down memory lane, the other male had taken his hoodie off releaseing more of his smell. It made him feel weird, but all the same he still took caution. 'thud, thud, thud' his face lite up red from embarrassment, in his daydreaming and general not paying attention he had failed to realize his tails were lazy thuding against the ground in joy.
This man was dangerous to rains self being. He got to distracted in his smell and graceful movement to remember his training. And now there was no way he could not see rain. But hoping for the best rain readied to flee if need be. He didnt wish to fight, specially with him.
Phill was in the middle of stretching his left arm over his head. He was zoning out thinking about thunderstorms when he was braught out by three distinct thuds on the ground. His eyes moved to meet those of a crouching kitsune who seemed ready to run at a moments notice. Phill smiled softly and let his tail sway back and forth behind him as he tried to judge the others intentions. "Hello there, i do not want to fight but may i ask how you found me and what you want to do to me?" His eyes seemed to glow even brighter while staring at him intrigued by the sight of another young kitsune. Phill began to cautiously walk towards the other kitsune while taking in his details, seeing how his ears were larger and more like a fennic fox's and his long mahogany red hair. He took in the two tails and chuckled softly, his voice smooth but not deep like most guys his age, his voice still high pitched for a guy. "How old are you? I am close to getting my second tail but i still have a couple weeks before i actually can get it i believe."
"Hello there, i do not want to fight but may i ask how you found me and what you want to do to me?" Came his slightly higher voice. Oddly is suited him, it held a nice mellow note to it.
As the other kitsune looked at him with curiosity, rain felt a shiver run down the lenght of his spin. Maybe it was his scent or maybe it was his voice but rain felt comfortable around him.
But that didnt stop him from backing up 2 steps to every one that the stranger took. Rain keeped quiet when the stanger talked to him, not knowing what to say and just being generally shy, he kept his mouth shut.
The young kitsune smiles as he continued to walk toward rain. Hearing a slight high chuckle rain slowed his steps.
"How old are you? I am close to getting my second tail but i still have a couple weeks before i actually can get it i believe." Came his curious higher voice. Rain stopped for a second to consider staying, just to see what he would do. He seemed interested, but he know from personal experience that that could be bad. And this kitsune asks to many questions, does he have not sence of self preservation.
Rain sank low to the ground about 5 feet from him, his ears were drawn back and his tails where held out behind him just off the ground. He was nervous but the man had shown no intention of fighting, in language and in body poster. Deciding to give it a shot he stayed where he was. He would let him decide what to do. Worst came to worst he would just run.
Kimon frowned a bit more as the woman fell, but puffed his feathers up a bit as she drew herself back up- Those weren't very nice looking injuries... Perhaps he could- But she suddenly set off, much quicker than before, and he silenced a startled chirp. The harpy waited a moment before following once more, more cautious, but faster as well. He didn't want to lose sight of her, after all... Although, he felt really rude for following her like this, without her knowledge. He gathered himself up after a moment, still hurrying after, before quietly calling out.
"U-Uh, miss?"
Divina... Was lost, really. She had managed to get herself even more lost than before, it seemed, and she huffed, moving to lean against a tree trunk as she paused to listen and gather her bearings. Her breath slowly calmed as she closed her eyes, falling almost eerily silent as she listened close. Leaves... Her breath.... Birdsong... But where was water? She released a slow and heavy breath, rather shakily, before opening her eyes again.
Phill saw that the other kitsune was considerably shy and was on the verge of running. He figured that the slightly older kitsune probably had a bad past like himself or was running from angry kitsunes and thought he was one of them. Once the other kitsune stopped with his ears back and his body low to the ground phill felt threatened and immediatly stopped his advance. "There is no reason for you to be afraid of me, you have two tails to my one, your taller and probably stronger. If you can't speak i am sorry but i didn't know." Phill put his hands up in surrender and sat on the ground, his tail circling his waist and his ears lowering slightly. His smile slowly dropped from his face, replaced with a frown as he felt bad for scaring the other kitsune. The light couldn't hit his eyes anymore so they didn't seem as bright. "I am sorry that i scared you, i just am trying to train my powers is all which is why i was stretching first and it has been a while since i have seen another kitsune. Would it be ok with you if i train more or maybe if you want i could try and get you some food i am sure i have some granola bars somewhere, probably by my books. If you can't talk maybe walk to the cave for food or into the clearing to maybe i can talk as i practice? I guess there is always the option of you running but sitting there and sneaking a peek at me while im training? at least i wasn't bathing or shirtless as i trained." Phill began humming to himself letting his high pitched voice go to different tunes as he let it go to any sort of music he could think of, his tail lazily batting against his own leg.
The other kitsune stopped and sat down on the ground, holding his hands up with his ears flattened slightly. He had wrapped his tail around him on the ground. With out the light in his eye rains shinning pale green eyes was able to meet his golden ones.
His posture was calm and slow, like he was taking caution of rain. "There is no reason for you to be afraid of me, you have two tails to my one, your taller and probably stronger. If you can't speak i am sorry but i didn't know." Came his voice, lilting through the woods.
~ hm..... maybe ...... he doesnt appear threatning in any way, and he does have a point. ~Although he wouldnt fry him alive or anything anyway. The brunette intreged him.
Slowly rain crawled his way closer to the male, Just out of arms lenght. Circling around him he took a deep breath of his scent and exhaled. Coming back around to his front he motioned back to the little clearing he was in. Keeping his eyes on him he stalked back to being in front of him.
~training, I wonder what his powers are~
Its been a week or so since he had last picked up a weapon or used his magic.
" I guess there is always the option of you running but sitting there and sneaking a peek at me while im training? at least i wasn't bathing or shirtless as i trained." Rains face lite up with embarrassment. Was that inappropriate, he had always watched his target before hand. His master had told him that you must know them amd their routine before confronting them.
Squatting rain gestured again and shook his head at the mention of food. Still slightly embarrassed rain watched him, waiting for him to get up first, to turn his back. If he did then either he was really stupid or he put his trust in a total stranger. If he did then rain would trust him and stick with him for a little bit instead of running.
Phill watched as the older kitsune started to circle around him and began sniffing him. He saw the other's pale green eyes while he seemed to be studdied. Phill watched as the other kitsune nodded toward the clearing where he was practicing before. He took a deep inhale of the others scent while he was right in front of him. He noticed the other guys face turn red and chuckled slightly as he teased him. "Unless that is your plan, you like peeking on people and catching them in those situations? Luckily i caught you before it got any hotter out then huh?"
Phill knew that it was a bad idea so he let his tail sway as he stood. He gave a warning look to the other kitsune as he slowly turned around looking over his shoulder. "I want to stress that a fight could only end badly, whether it end bad for me or you it will end badly and i see no need for that, besides you may be stronger but i mostly train in gymnastics or agility that is why i am lean." He began to walk towards the clearing, he didn't trust the other guy but he had to put on the show that he did in order to not have to fight. He walked slowly with confidence to show that he didn't fear him even though he was worried he would be attacked. "Another question, are you unable to speak or do you just not like to
The other kitsune stood and slowly made his way back over to the clearing, he walked with a straight body and a posture of confidence. "Another question, are you unable to speak or do you just not like to?"
Rain stood up and silently followed behind him thinking on a answer that would involve the least talking. His question was a little late asked but hm, oh well. Keeping up with him he choose not to think about if they were to fight, he was fairly sure that he would come out on top if he could put distance on him, or make it to the shadows which wasnt hard to do since they were in a forest.
Rain waited til they were back in the clearing before rain sat down fully on the ground. Knowing that the other male was watching him he gave a genuine smile.
" Dont like to," he clipped out. Seeing some slight suprise along with some other emotions he could name flash across his face aaron felt bad. He was bad at this and it showed.
Taking a sigh he hung his head. Waiting for the other to say something. But his thoughts were interrupted by a slight breeze blowing in his face. Causing the other scent to invade his noise. The smell made his stomach give a small almost inaudible grumble. He must have been hungrier than he though.
Phill sighed at the silence on the walk back to the clearing. He watched as the older boy sat down. The walk had caused many different thoughts to cross his mind, if they faught how would he win, if he had his second tail and could actually fly a little or maybe if he could latch onto the other boy then possibly. He smiled at the other male as he spoke telling him that he didn't like too, followed by a growling of his stomach. Phill went into his hoody and took out a granola bar he was going to eat after training and tossed it into his lap. "I can tell considering you seem to be awekward at it and don't like me asking questions from the body language you showed. I have many questions though and i would assume you have some as well. Yes you may be awekward with talking but i wouldn't mind getting to know you a little bit at least green eyes." After he spoke he began to concentrate on controlling his powers, he imagined himself floating up off the ground and having the freedom to fly where he wanted to. He looked down and realized he was floating about three inches off of the ground though he wobbled and was unsteady in the air for now he knew that soon he could try something harder such as actually flying around or levitating about a foot off the ground at least.
(Yeah sure, I will.
Welp I guess we've got an ooc now lol. If everyone would delete their forms, that'd be cool. Y'all can repost them on the ooc if you want to or not, doesn't matter to me)
Alexa's hands instinctively balled into fists. She spun around towards the soft voice. Wings. The guy had wings. "Wh...wha," Her eyes widened. "You have wings," she mumbled, "th-that's...weird...but cool. I'm kinda jealous," her voice shook slightly as he spoke, "no offense, but what the heck are you."
Randi watched the girl lean against the trunk of a tree. She looked like she was lost. Her brain kept telling her to return to her book, but every other part of her kept urging her to confront the girl. Randi unhappily scurried down the tree. At the base she changed back into a human. "Sorry, I was walking around when I noticed you. Are you lost? You look lost."
He flinched away, Kimon's wings moving to wrap around himself as he stared with a slight flush. There was a pause as he fumbled for words, quiet chirping the only noise he made for a few seconds, before he managed to speak up. "I'm... A h-harpy. You're... Are you not from around h-here?" he asked, his voice a bit quieter from before now that he had her attention. "Or maybe you... Just h-haven't been in the forest before...?"
Divina yelped. It was a miracle she didn't scream, frankly. She pressed herself against the tree as a squirrel turned into a human, thinking back- She hadn't eaten anything, let alone herbs that would've caused hallucinations. So- Was this somehow real? Or did something else happen while she was asleep? She wasn't sure, but she didn't trust it. "...Lost? I'm- Yes, but more importantly, what and who are you?!" Divina, that's rude. Be nicer.
Hector detached himself from his tree limb and took to the air again. The feeling of dread had grown when the harpy landed nearby her. Was it something to do with these other people that had also been following her? Hector was unsure but planned on doing something he had never had a chance to; warn someone of a disaster.
Flying through te forest was next to impossible for the owlman's large wings so he opted for a easier route. He shot back up through the canopy and reentered in a location closer to the group. Hector crashed through the delicate branches high above and flapped his powerful wings to slow his descent. When his clawed feet touched the forest floor, he wraped his wings around his shoulder like a cloak. He was standing across from the girl with scrapped palms and behind the woman that just changed form from a squirrel. Hector's eyes were half lit to dampen thier glow, "Miss, you are in danger. I fear something bad is going to happen to you", Hector said in his deep voice. Although he spoke aloud, no visiable mouth moved on his face.
The beautiful, beautiful butterfly floated gently into a clearing. Of course, the butterfly did not notice thetwo kitsunes conversing in the same area. All the butterfly wanted was to land on this flower and get some sweet nector. Thats exactly what it did.
In a breath, the butterfly was gone. In it's place sprouted a patch of exotic, bright pink flowers that stood over the flower the butterfly had been on, choking it for light. The flowers swayed slightly in the gentle breeze.
The flowers were not there for long. A psychic connection was made with one of the nearby kitsunes.
While no one was looking and taking the time between a blink, A figure was suddenly sitting on the grass, his knees together and sitting on his ankles. The boy was small, only barely five feet tall. A mop of dirty blonde hair surrounded a pair of fluffy white fox ears. A single white fox tailpoked from a tear in the back of his pants and lay limp on the ground behind him.His eyes were pale lavender and seemed to shiny with a strange iridescence. His features were soft and his skin pale. He was wearing a tattered pair of slacks and a dirty t shirt that was too big for him, one pale shoulder poked out as the neck dropped down his arm. Bec silently wathed the two boys, not wanting to startle them with his sudden appearance.
Rain caught the granola bar that was chucked into his lap. Giving it a quick sniff to make sure it was good he opened it with a small smile.
"Thanks" he muttered under his breath. Taking a bite out of it he was taken aback by the taste of honey and oats. Loving sweet stuff he looked at the other kitsune he munched happily, while watching him attempt to maybe levitate. He got about 2 or 3 inches off the ground before something caused him to lose concentration and fall back down.
" it's rain". He said out in a soft voice. Finishing the granola bar he had been given he stood up and leaned back on the tree. He liked this guy but he couldn't stay very long, unless given a reason to stay. Its not like he had much else to do now anyway.
Watching him as he stretched and doing some exercises, he mental took note of what could be fixed. Stance wise he was pretty good, but his magic was a little wobbly. But it was not his place to help. Besides it's not like he was asked. He was just here to watch amd have some company to share.
Suddenly there was the feel of another set of eyes on them. It sent a sinking feeling into the pit of rains stomach. Looking around he didn't spot anything out of the ordinary at first. His eyes sweeped one way catching a glimpse of the brunette kitsune. If he felt it to he didn't show it. Sweeping his eyes back the same way again he was meet with a pale pair of lavender eyes.
Sitting in some flowers was a small kitsune. He had dirty blonde hair with white ears and a tail. His clothes looked to be old and a little to big for him. Slightly startled at how close he was and at the almost sudden appearance rain let out a low audible growl in warning. Rain stepped away from the tree and took a step or two closer to the child. Something about him set him aside from all the other people he had meet.
Putting himself to the side of browny and in front of blondy he stood his ground waiting for the stranger to state who he was. He felt a little protective over phill, with the potential of a new friendship there. But he didnt know either so he wasnt willing to make the first move other than that.
Alexa managed to form a small smile. "I-I don't think so, but I...I don't really know where I am," she said more calmly. Her voice shook less and her body relaxed a bit as she grew slightly more comfortable. The stranger seemed nice. Her eyes kept going between his wings and his face before she noticed his feet. "Whoa, that's kinda neat," She thought.
Just then came a crashing sound from above. She quickly jumped backwards, tripping over yet another ginormous root and landing on her back. A sharp pain went through her leg and she bit her lip to withhold a yelp. Another winged creature landed nearby, but when she looked at him he appeared...blurry? She could tell he had wings and glowing eyes though. It took her a few moments to process his words. She opened her mouth to speak but couldn't force any words out.
Randi took a step back. She hadn't meant to scare the poor girl so badly.
"I'm Miranda, but you can call me Randi," she said softly with a warm smile, trying to not frighten the girl any more than she already had. "I'm a shape-shifter." Maybe she had never met a shape-shifter before? Maybe she was new around here, or maybe there weren't many shifters where she came from. "What's your name?"
There was a shrill chirp from Kimon at the appearance of the new stranger, and his feathers puffed up as he jumped back, flapping his wings to get him some more distance. At first, he contemplated how quickly he could get away from the scene- The stranger didn't seem very interested in the harpy, after all. However, realizing the human was harmed, he changed his route, though hesitantly, to flutter in front of her and spread his wings to hide her a bit. "W-Who are you?!" ...Defensive, now, of his possibly new friend, it seemed. Then again- It was a miracle he even managed to speak to her, so it was rather understandable why.
After a moment, he glanced back at the human, inching back towards her and... Turning to face her, deciding that she was a bit more priority, and offering a talon. ...He didn't have hands, after all, and he didn't want any feathers pulled by accident. His talons would work just as well, he figured, though he hoped she wouldn't be put off by it. It wasn't as if they were dirty, after all. "M-Miss..." He trailed off, glancing back at the other stranger, before focusing his attention on her.
Divina stammered for a moment, before pausing and swallowing. It took her a second to manage to reply. "...Divina. A- A shape-shifter?!" If she hadn't witnessed it with her own eyes, she would've doubted the new woman, but... The proof was staring her straight in the face. She couldn't help but believe it, really- Or, at least, choose to think it might be true for now. She hoped she hadn't been forced to eat or drink anything while passed out; Sure, that'd make this all make a bit more sense, but... She didn't want any side effects.
"Where is this place? What do you plan on doing to me?" she asked, though her tone was more afraid than angry. Because Divina was absolutely terrified. She just wouldn't admit it.
It took Alexa a few moments to realize just how much her leg ached. It felt rather warm, but she couldn't draw her eyes away from the second strange winged-man - the one with the glowing eyes - to see why it hurt so badly. That is, until the harpy put himself between her and the mysterious stranger. As he offered her a talon she stared at it for a moment, confused, before it dawned on her. She took his talon and pulled herself back onto her feet. Well, at least until she put pressure on her right leg and it crumpled beneath her. A yelp escaped her mouth before she could bite back down on her lip. She clung to the kind harpy so she wouldn't fall for a third time.
A stream of blood inched down her leg, starting from an inch or so below her knee, where a stick protruded from her. The sight made her cringe and suddenly feel extremely nauseated.
Randi began getting a bad feeling about Divina. It seemed like she terrified by the fact she was a shape-shifter. But why? Shape-shifters weren't typically violent creatures. "Divina, that's a pretty name," she spoke softly, "We're in the forest near the town of Starfall." She cocked her head slightly, a bit confused by her question, "and what do you mean 'what do you plan on doing to me'?" Why was this girl so terrified?
