Humans and 'monsters' have lived in a shaky peace agreement for a few years. In order to keep this peace, both monsters and humans must be kept in line. For this reason, a council of both humans and monsters was created. If anyone raised a finger/claw/whatever against the other species, then they'd answer to the council, who would decide if they were innocent or guilty. Those who were deemed guilty were taken to an old abyss that led to a barren realm, and those who were deemed innocent were let free. But a group of humans don't like the peace very much. They don't trust the monsters, and so they pinned the blame of some of the murders on the more docile ones. The council decided that they were guilty. And now? ...Well, now it's time to escape and get justice.

Extra Information I Guess

It's, quite literally, an abyss. The definition is "a deep or seemingly bottomless chasm", and it's deeper then thought to be possible; To those who can sense magic, they'll be able to tell there's a faint trace that gets much stronger the farther down you go, because it doesn't even exist completely in this realm. (No, they don't shove them down, they just transport them.) It's also really large and there's not much else other than rocks and stone down there, and bones. There's also water but it's not suitable for basically anything, because it's poisonous(swimming in it is fine though as long as you have no open wounds). It's impossible to teleport/transport/fly out of it once you're in, which makes it the ideal 'prison'. There is a way to escape, of course.

Rose yawned as she stretched her arms over her head, drawing the attention of the man walking beside her. Yellow eyes watched as her hands dropped back down to her sides, before meeting her eyes as she noticed he was watching. "...What?" she asked, fighting back another yawn. He shook his head, turning to watch where he was going again. "Nothing," the reaper responded, not a trace of tiredness in his voice, as opposed to hers. Her eyes widened as she realized this. "How... How are you not tired?! I just woke you up!" she asked, bewildered. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, a very slight smirk appearing on his lips. "Are you... Are you one of the legendary 'morning people' I've heard about?" she asked, appearing awed. The reaper let out a sigh, slowly shaking his head at her childish antics. "Hey, Llyr, don't be like that!" No response from the reaper this time at first. Instead, he walked up to the door of the cafe and unlocked it, glancing back at Rose before heading inside to start setting up. She followed, closing the door behind her and helping the black-haired man. As soon as it was ready for another day and she was in uniform, she hurried over to the door, flipping the 'closed' sign to 'open'. "Time for another day," she mumbled, glancing over at the door of the kitchen as she heard something bang against the counter. Deciding it wasn't anything to worry about- he could handle a few injuries anyways- she turned her attention to cleaning the tables to pass the time.

The fox's red eyes scanned the streets from atop a building, looking for his next victim. Not too many people were out yet, though people were waking up. The early-morning crowds would be starting soon, everyone hurrying to work or... Something. There wasn't much for him to do this early minus nap, eat, or play tricks on people, and tricks were much more fun than the other two. Well, at least, they were right now. Spotting absolutely no one that seemed like they'd have a good reaction- good reaction meaning 'wouldn't scream', 'wouldn't attack him', and 'would laugh along with him or at least be sort of okay with it'- the fox let out a huff of air. Standing up, he walked to the other side of the roof with only slight difficulty, checking the back alley for anyone. Seeing no monster or human present, he jumped down to the conveniently placed crate underneath it, stacked on a few others that formed stairs of sorts. He jumped down the rest, landing gracefully on four paws which soon began changing into hands and feet. Ashen stood up, stretching as his limbs finished changing from fox to human. Luckily, clothes were included in transformations. He walked out of the alley with a mischievous grin, promising trouble to anyone who bothered the kitsune.

((I guess I will. Ryu Mosi Xipilli for speech.))

Mosi swept up the last of the dirt and put the broom away in its place as she turned on the neon open sign. She smiled and went behind the glass counter that held the register and displayed several turquoise pieces of jewelry and feather earrings to a rich blue curtain that split the two shops, and hid a narrow walk way and a staircase that lead to her home on top of the shops she checked on her roommate and employee.

Xipilli had finished organizing the petunias to make the front counter more inviting and was slithering throughout the forest of ficus, palms, hibiscus and colorful flowers tuning this one, tilting that one, plucking a yellow leaf here and there. He was irrepressible at his work, so Mosi had said to him before. He wished to be outside today though. It was not really warm outside but it was sunny. One of his three favorite kinds of work. He might need a sweater if he was to go sunning today though. He grinned and waved at Mosi as she peeked in the violet curtain and returned to her half of the shop as he moved to his spot behind the counter and turning on the heat lamp behind him.

"...Well Jannet today we have a chance of some showers through our area. 78 degrees with winds coming from the south east at five miles an hour, ten near the mountains. High altitudes later this week may see some precipitation as temperatures start start to rise. Sunshine and clear skies on the weekends, 84 degrees, perfect for heading to the carnival outside the town. I hear some centaurs are going to give the kiddos rides. Sounds like a good time right Jannet?" the camera moved away from the Dragon boy against the light blue screen to the main anchor. The early morning news was nearly wrapped up. He was hungry. He fixed his maroon button down shirt and fixed his black and red tie getting ready to sign off and head out to find a place to eat that was open at this hour and wasn't fast food.

((...? But... I did start? o.o Or are you referring to something else?

Oh, uh, Rose, Llyr, Ashen!))

Rose glanced up from her work as the bells above the door rung, signalling a visitor. After they had sat down, she grabbed a menu and approached with a smile, greeting them and giving the the menu before leaving so that they could decide what to have in peace. Other than the sound of a radio she had turned on quietly playing some song, the cafe was fairly quiet and peaceful. Noticing the costumer had put the menu down, she returned, taking their order and heading behind the counter to prepare their tea. After that was done, she grabbed the rest of their order and returned to the customer, delivering their order just as Llyr came out of the kitchen to restock some of the food. After that was done, he simply stood behind the counter, as there wasn't much else to do that early. They didn't have the most popular cafe, so there were usually only two managing the store at any time, and currently they were the only workers 'hired'. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Ashen's eyes flickered from place to place, trying to find someone he wouldn't get in trouble for tricking. Spotting somewhere that looked promising, he was about to enter when he noticed a... Souvenir shop. His eyes moved to the window, spotting the lit up 'open' sign, and he grinned. Even if there wasn't a suitable target in there, he'd at least know what exactly was in there... And who. Making up his mind, he slipped inside the store after switching his form to something a bit more... Human, moving his star ball from his tail to a small, hidden pocket on the inside of his kimono. Some people didn't trust kitsune much, if at all, so hiding his ears and tails was usually a better idea than flaunting them all the time. Which was a shame, but... He scanned the shop, his eyes resting on a woman who stood behind a glass counter for a few seconds before continuing their scan. Feeling both pleased and mildly disappointed that it didn't seem like whoever ran this shop was all that greedy because greedy people were some of the best to trick, he looked back at the woman who definitely matched the contents of the souvenir shop and grinned with a wave before deciding to see what all was there, and if anything caught his eye.

((I didn't see your edit until after I posted. That's why I edited mine.))

Mosi tilted her head as a customer came in. Her nostrils flared for a moment. Fox. So either he was a fox shifter or a kitsune. She didn't care what he was, as long as he bought something he liked. She smiled at him her yellow green eyes the only thing that said she wasn't a human, and her scent.. but that was hidden by the buckskin beaded clothing she always had on. "Good morning! Everything here I make myself, from the moccasins to the clothes, and even the jewelry I get from the mountains myself. We have leather masks too.. " She waved to a wall of masks ranging from simple masquerade painted ones with feathers, to extraordinary animal ones. "I also take requests, but those are more expensive."

((I'm making Ryu smaller, I didn't think about the buildings and such. It'll be uncomfortable for him he's 15' long now and with his hind legs lifting his lower body five feet of the ground... ))

Ryu signed off the show and sighed heavily as he fitted his fedora between his horns and walked out of the building slipping on his jacket. He straightened his back, towering over people and was able to peek in the bottoms of the second story windows of the building. His tail was a third of his height, so roughly around five feet long. He hated it sometimes. He had to bend his back to fit in doorways and his coils where hard to manage sometimes, but it was worth it. People didn't mess with him. He took off into the air and looked around at restaurants. He found a quiet one and landed lightly on the side walk heading in as the bell rang and he took a booth in the small cafe.

((Ahhh. And alright for the height/length!))

"Ah? You make them yourself?" Ashen grinned even wider, looking over at the masks. "That explains the good quality," he mumbled, walking over to examine the masks a bit more closely. Unlike his quick glance before, he was a bit more careful as he looked at the masks. Finding nothing that really caught his attention for more then five seconds, he turned to the woman, his trademark grin in place. "As tempting as a request sounds, I doubt I can afford one," he said. Suddenly, a mask that he hadn't really looked at before caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Now curious, he turned to investigate further. He pulled it off the wall carefully before turning and walking to the counter, placing it down. "I'll take this one." Digging into yet another hidden pocket- he had to keep his stuff somewhere- he pulled out a change purse, ready to pay however much she said. He was fairly sure he had enough, as he didn't usually need to pay for... Anything, really. Kitsune survived off of eating the energy of things around them, so he usually just found somewhere with a fire and fed off of it's energy, as fire was the element he was associated with and therefore the element that 'filled' him the most. And he was a fox, more than he was a human, so he lived underground.

((The mask is something like this if that's okay?))

Somewhat distracted, Rose approached the customer that just entered. She looked up to see a somewhat familiar naga. However, her job came before her curiosity as to where she had seen him before. She greeted him cheerfully before handing him the menu. "When you've decided what you'd like, I'll be back to take your order," she said, smiling, before walking away to speak to her quiet coworker. "It's fairly nice out today," she mused quietly. The reaper raised an eyebrow, a bit startled that the human was speaking to him, but nodded. "For now," Llyr responded just as quietly, yellow eyes closing. "...Yeah, for now," she agreed after a few moments, turning around as she decided not to press him to speak more. She knew that he didn't like speaking too much, if at all. Rose was sure that, if the reaper had the choice, he'd go without ever saying a word.

Miso smiled. "That one is only ten dollars. It's a one piece mold, and really easy to do. Besides, with the law saying shifters could hunt till they eat their fill of wild game, and the fact I'm native American and can hunt buffalo and such, leather is fairly easy for me to come by, ergo, cheap prices for well made products. Would you like a bag?" She asked reaching under the counter to get one.

"it's water proof, and can be dropped, but that might scuff the paint. If it gets a bit damaged like paint peeling and such, bring it back and I'll touch it up for free."

Ryu tilted his head as he studied the menu with his jade green eyes his tail flicking, shades of green ranging from deep pine to emerald to a yellowed leaf on his scaled body. His dark jade back talons clicked on the tile as he tapped his foot. He tilted his head at slight exchange of words they had. A simple conversation with a meteorologist wouldn't be about the weather, that's for sure. He set down the menu and waited her to come over. He pulled a slender tea box from his trench coat and pulled out a packet. "If you can, could you brew up this tea? It's a home blend and it gets me through my day. Now, I would like to have the oatmeal with rice mixed in and a berry cup on the side." He smiled at her kindly handing the menu back to her. His voice was deeper then on tv. It had a low rumble, kinda like thunder way of, yet nicer sounding.

Surprise momentarily flickered across the fox's face, before he grinned once again. "No, I'm fine without a bag, thank you," he responded calmly, placing the money on the counter and taking the mask, placing the small change purse back in it's hidden pocket. "You're nicer than the last person I got a mask from. Though, the circumstances were different back then." He laughed, shaking his head at the memory, before remembering that he was in the presence of a lady and shouldn't mention things she wouldn't know about. "...But it's only to be expected that someone as beautiful as you would have a personality with beauty to match." With a smirk, Ashen slipped the mask on and left, raising a hand in farewell as he did so.

He entered the connected shop, humming quietly to himself, and after grinning at the man behind the counter, he turned his gaze to what was in the shop. ...And what he found was plants. Which, he had learned a few years ago, he wasn't good with. At all. Mainly because he had a habit of letting his fox-fire get just a bit too close to them. Luckily, there was a very low chance of that happening in here, so he decided to look around anyways. Besides, some off the plants looked a lot more interesting than the usual weeds and wildflowers he found near roads.

As soon as she noticed the menu was put down, Rose walked back over. She smiled back, taking the packet and the menu. "Of course! I'll be back over with your order right away," she responded, noticing Llyr was already heating up water. By the time she walked back over there(which was a short amount of time), he already had a tray and a cup ready, and was just waiting for the water to finish boiling. As soon as they finished preparing the tea, she picked up the tray and walked back over to the male naga. "Here you are!" she said, placing the items on the table, just as the other customer waved her over. "When you're finished, you can either pay at the counter or just wait for me to come back," she said with a smile before heading over to the other customer. After gathering everything on the tray and taking her payment, she returned to Llyr to hand him the money to put in the register and then entered the kitchen to get rid of the dishes. She soon returned and busied herself with cleaning the now-vacant table.

Meanwhile, Llyr's head snapped up and his gaze locked on the door. There was the tell-tale feel of magic in the air, but the 'aftertaste' it left was both familiar and unfamiliar to him. Which meant that it was either reapers come to collect someone's soul or... He didn't want to think about the latter. They shouldn't have any reason to come there... Right?

Mosi blushed surprised at the complement. No one has really said that before.... but this fox didn't know her very well, or not at all. So... He could say such a thing. In reality, she was very rough and curses up a storm on her so-so days.

Xipilli glanced up, his violet eyes meeting the Fox's red ones and he smiled a little before turning back around to the flowers behind him, his long tail coiled behind the counter, so all was seen was a gold jeweled caller and a silver jeweled girdle/belt around his belly. "Let me know if you have any questions about the plants or flowers. " He said. He found it that -ladies in particular but some skittish creatures top-level didn't take kindly to a huge Naga snake right beside them, so he stuck behind the counter most of the time.

"Thank you." He smiled and started to eat after tying back his long white hair- his hat was off the moment he entered the place, after all he is a gentleman- and started to eat. His tail flicked around, agitated. He stopped, frowning and grabbed his tail before it makes a mess. Being one associated with magic, he can sense it to a certain degree. Most of it was instinctual that is, if it has nothing to do with the five elements (air, earth, fire, water, lighting). Such as now, his Dragon half clearly felt something.... unsettling, but he had no idea what it could be. He looks around the palace and return to eating, but slower, holding on to his tail and try to keep the soft white plumbed tip from getting into his food.

"Well... What's this one?" Ashen asked, pointing to the first one he laid his eyes on. Although it was just mainly a way of getting the violet-eyed man to speak again, he honestly wasn't sure what the plant was. He glanced at the man, slightly curious as to what he was. From the looks of it, he wasn't human, but the plants and flowers were blocking the fox's sense of smell. Which was also the reason he was breathing out of his mouth. Quickly glancing back at the plant, he waited for a response.

Llyr caught Rose's eye, and curious as to what was making the yellow-eyed man so on-edge, she walked over. Unlike the only two others in the cafe, she wasn't able to sense magic at all, minus when it was heavy in the air and anyone could sense it. Reddish-brown eyes meeting yellow, the reaper seemed to calm as soon as he was focused on something other than what was outside that door. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Something's out there," he whispered so that the naga hopefully wouldn't overhear, eyes darting to the door. Her eyes widened momentarily, before narrowing. "Any clue what?" she whispered back. He shook his head slightly, although he was fairly sure he knew what- Or rather, who- it was. "No... I'd rather not go find out, either," he responded. However, he felt like it wasn't likely he'd have a choice.

((They'll be taken soon, just wanted a bit of interaction between Ashen and Xipilli.))

Xipilli sighed. The guy was in the exotic plants and he couldn't see the flower. In wide sweeping arks and a whisper of scales on tile, he made it over there and looked at the flower. His snake scales where clean and polished. White stripes like snow, the colors like a young green tree python from the rain forest. "That one is named the handsome devil lily. They require lots of water and all sun or Sun and shade. They're picky when it comes to soil. Exotic, so they like heat." He said, his voice heavy with a Brazilian accent, having lived there longer then his birth place of the Aztec ruins.

Ryu finished eating and drinking his tea. He got up to go pay at the counter when his tail suddenly froze. He looked around again, jade eyes narrowed as he tries to find out what was wrong.

((Ahaha, you can pick whoever for whoever, honestly. Ashen will flirt with (almost) anyone if he sees an opportunity to.))

As soon as the man was in his view, Ashen glanced over his body. A snake tail came to his attention. A naga, hmm? the fox thought with a grin, before listened to what he was saying, turning his attention to the flower. He paused, mulling over the information for a few moments, before speaking. "The handsome devil lily, hmm? I see only one thing I'd call handsome in here... And I can't say that it's a plant." He smirked at the naga with a wink, just as a dog's bark somehow managed to echo through the shop. The fox jumped, eyes widening at the sound. Did one get in or something? He noted that, although he didn't turn into a fox like he usually did, his ears and tails were out again. Before he managed to recover from the first one, it happened again, but closer. Biting back a curse, he nearly released his illusion completely. "...Well then," he managed. “It seems that there's a dog in here.” Right as he said that, the bark came from exactly behind him. Clenching his fists, he took a deep breath in and- Wait a second. There was absolutely no scent of dog in the air, which meant... The kitsune turned around to see not a trace of the dog he was sure they had both heard.

However, the scent of magic, strong enough that he could smell it(and it made him feel sick, honestly), hung heavily in the air.

Suddenly, the lights turned completely off in the cafe. The windows seemed to be covered by something, as they turned dark, too. ”Get down,” Llyr growled to Rose and the man, before jumping over the counter, using a 'boost' from his levitation skills in order to get over both it and the customer. This confirmed his suspicions as to who it was. And, surely enough, right as he thought that, the door opened to reveal... Complete and utter darkness. He wasn't so easily fooled though. "What do you need?" he asked the figure he could barely make out, managing to act polite. "Having you three gathered in one place makes this much easier," a calm voice responded. His eyes narrowed, but before he could say anything, the person spoke again. "You three are coming with me." "W-What?! What did we do?" Rose cried out in alarm. Before Llyr could speak again, she let out a sharp cry of pain. His eyes widened and he glanced over at the girl, who was now crumpled up in a ball on the ground. "That was unnecessary," a different, and somewhat kinder-sounding voice said. The other person just let out a growl, before entering the cafe. They were hidden by the cloak you'd imagine the Grim Reaper to wear, with a tall, black scythe to match. They picked the girl up as if she weighed no more than a child, before turning to the two men. "Follow me," he snapped, before leaving the cafe and vanishing into the darkness outside. The second voice sighed before entered, stepping to the side of the door. They looked identical to the previous one, in a black cloak with a scythe, but their scythe had a silver blade instead. "You heard him," they said.

Llyr paused, before walking out of the cafe to follow. It was probably best not to argue.

Xipilli froze and flushed. He opened and closed his mouth too embarrassed to talk, then the dog barked the foxes tails coming out with his ears. So he's a kitsune. Dog barking. The Fox said something about a dog being in here and he shook his head, still flustered from his comment. Barking behind them. He lashed his tail quickly, he and dogs don't mix well. Nothing was there though. "Thatsssss ssstrange.... He hissed, his tongue flicking out of his mouth tasting the air. Magic... He seemed to coil in on himself. "Who the hell let a dog in my....... I feel woozy..." Mosi charged in the shop and stopped holding her head.

Ryu dropped to all fours with a hiss, his tail with diamond hard scales curling around his soft spots, jade eyes glowing in the dark. He turned white when the woman collapsed and he nearly roared in anger. "That is an understatement! What did we do to deserve this treatment? We are free citizens here, we have every right to know what you want us for!" He grabbed his jacket and that, taking his sweet time to the door, bringing himself to tower over the reaper. "I know my rights. Whatever this is, you have no right to treat us this way. A Dragon is a good judge of character and I don't thing they or I did nothing to deserve this horrific harassment." He snapped before heading through the door to the black, tail lashing at the feeling of this magic.

((Ryu would like the human. Not sure yet on the other two.))

"Better hurry this up, the others probably messed up again," a feminine voice grumbled as someone entered through the curtain. Icy blue eyes locked onto the group, and the stranger smiled kindly. "Sleep," she cooed, a light blue dust falling from her fingers and floating towards the three. A... Sandman? But... The fox's thoughts trailed off as the dust began to affect him, before they closed completely and he almost fell to the ground. Almost. A 'hand' made of the dust caught him, picking him up and bringing him over to the stranger as she waited for the other two to fall asleep.

The reaper that was still inside simply tilted their head back to stare up at the dragon, the hood falling back enough to reveal a sheepish grin. "I don't make the rules," they responded simply, watching as he finally went through the door. They let out a sigh of relief before glancing around the dark cafe; No one would be working here now. With a wave of their hand, they cast an illusion that would make people outside think it was closed down and empty. Someone would come to clear it out later, most likely. Now pleased, they followed the other four outside, closing the door behind them.

'Outside' was pitch black, and the first reaper that had spoken was in the lead, walking a straight line. "Ere, it'd be quicker to just transport us," the other said, adjusting their grip on their scythe. 'Ere' glanced back, before nodding. Making sure that the girl wouldn't fall off of their shoulder, they tapped the ground with their scythe. What was basically a giant hole appeared. Without waiting for the rest, they dropped down it, Llyr following after a moment. "I'd advise you to keep your mouth shut once we get there. Believe it or not, Ere is one of the less... Violent, of us." They watched the dragon naga, their tone kind but their words a clear warning.

Xipilli sighed heavily with a hiss and coiled up asleep. "Ha censorkip.gif*! I have insomnia I can't get to sleep without three doctor prescribed pills and a five mile sprint...... oh.... that's strong.." She collapsed.

Ryu simply growls before diving into the hole.

((Alright, thanks for telling me! ^^))

The 'sandman' let out a sigh of relief as the woman fell asleep, the 'dust hand' catching the woman and carrying her to the stranger. With a flick of her wrist, a larger 'hand' picked the naga up, moving him to her. “Maybe today they'll have finished before I have,” she muttered, turning the 'on' sign off again. Her 'partner' had to leave after they had created the barking illusion, so there wouldn't be anything hiding what was still in there. She'd have to send someone over later, but that wouldn't be a problem. Now that was settled, she left the shop, entering the strange darkness that the reapers had entered, too. Tapping her foot three times, a hole appeared and she jumped down, the three unconscious being pulled with her.

The three reapers landed easily on the ground, levitation softening the fall as they appeared right outside of the large building the council was usually present in. A soft thud beside them alerted them to someone who wasn't the naga. The woman with three creatures seemed pleasantly surprised to see them there before her. ”Great, this'll be quicker then,” she said before walking to the doors and opening them, the three hands following. 'Ere' groaned before following, while the other reaper just laughed sheepishly and followed the two inside. Llyr paused, looking over at the conscious naga, before following them inside. They weren't stopped at any point, and barely anyone even looked in their direction, minus one or two who quickly averted their eyes as soon as they noticed what was going on. They stopped outside two large doors.

The 'sandman' put the kitsune and the were-puma down before opening the doors with two of the hands, picking the two up afterwards. Inside was a somewhat dark, somewhat small, empty room. She walked inside and dropped the three(though somewhat carefully), followed by the reapers, before kneeling next to the three live bodies. "Wake up," she grumbled, holding her hands palm down before slowly curling her fingers in, forming a fist with each hand. The dust that remained in the three's lungs were exhaled, dropping to the ground as soon as they were out, now midnight blue rather than light blue. She stood up as Ashen began to cough, red eyes opening. He sat up, blinking a few times, before he realized what was going on. "Oh... Well then," he mumbled, his eyes moving over the others in the room as 'Ere' put Rose down on unsteady feet. Llyr moved to help her, the second reaper's head turning to watch.

Mosi hacked and shook her head leaping too her feet. Xipilli didn't wake. It was cold in the room. Mosi looked around, seeing the council seats. What the Hell is going on? She walked over to her friend. "Yo, snake man wake up. ...... " She knelt and poked his coiled body and looked at the woman popping her knuckles. "I got this......... Holy censorkip.gif! It's Loki!" Xipilli bolted upright, looks around and glared at the now laughing werecat. "Not funny Mosi!""It works every time..." She giggled for a bit and calmed down. "Why are we hear anyway?"

Ryu went over to the human, his ability of flight softening his landing too. He curled his back to look at her at eye level. "Are you hurt or in pain anywhere?" He asked softly looking her over for any scratches or scrapes.

"A-Ah?!" Rose's eyes widened as someone suddenly spoke to her, jumping a bit. As soon as she realized it was just the naga, she seemed to calm down a bit though. "Um, no... No, I'm not hurt," she responded. "It was more... More sudden, than actually painful. Sort of like, um, like being electrocuted. But... Without it lasting quite as long," she explained, stumbling over her words a bit. Llyr, now pleased with the fact that she could stand on her own two feet, walked over to Ashen- who was still sitting on the ground- and pulled him up. The kitsune blinked at him before mumbling a 'thank you'. The reaper turned to the naga and the werecreature. "We'll see soon enough," he responded to the woman's question, both appearing and sounding calm, even after all that had happened.

"You're being judged, that's why."

A voice echoed through the room as soon as Llyr finished his sentence, drawing the attention of most in the room almost immediately. At some point, six others had arrived; A griffin, a chimera, a fairy, what appeared to be a banshee, and two humans- Although, one smelled of dog, much to Ashen's distaste. The fairy was the one who had spoken. "Clossse the doorsss," the chimera's snake head hissed. The sandman(sandwoman?) closed them with her 'sand hands', before letting the three hands turn to dust finally. "Mosi, Xipilli, Ryu, Llyr, Rose, Ashen. All are present?" the banshee asked one of the reapers, who nodded. "Then let us begin," the griffin hummed, focusing it's amber gaze on the six. "Each of you has been accused of something, and evidence has been found that certainly doesn't cancel out the possibility," the fairy said. "Usually we'd call you each in, one by one, but it seems we're pressed for time today. Now, who would like to go first?" they asked, referring to who wanted to be the first defendant. There were usually more council members, but currently most were busy, and the only 'rule' there was for how many that were usually present was either more than or even to the amount of those being sentenced.

Xipilli sank lower into himself. He looked like he was going to cry. "But... I did nothing wrong! I wouldn't hurt anyone! I'm a pacifist, I don't like violence.... I should've never left Brazil....¡Yo quiero ir a casa! Volver a la selva. Nadie me molestó allí. ¡Quiero volver a la humedad y la lluvia!" He sniffed. Mosi didn't know what to do. She stood by him awkwardly and unsure about touching him or not. "There must be some mistake... we'll figure it out." She said quietly to him.

Ryu didn't move from his spot by the human girl looking at the council thinking the same thing as the werepuma said to the Naga. This has to be some mistake. He'd never done anything wrong... well, his neighbors the frat boys and him got in more then one skirmish about the music and the parties. One took lsd's and sliced his chest with a samurai sword in a couple spots. Another time he got a horn stuck in their door and they cut it off. He always filed complaints, but never pressed charges against them. It was against his morals, besides the humans (and one werewolf) where always drunk so it seemed like to him, and incoherent to reason. They were idiots who yes frustrated him (being they ended the parties at one or two and he had to wake up at four to get ready for work doing the five am news cast and working until ten thirty eleven at night) but recently he had slept at a motel near his work....

The fairy seemed to grow tired of waiting and turned their gaze onto the human girl, about to speak, when Ashen walked towards them, stopping a few feet away. "I'll go first, seeing as no one else wants to," he said, glancing back at the naga. The fairy nodded, their wings fluttering a bit. "Ashen the kitsune, you have been charged with murder of Katherine Briggs. Your fur was found at the scene, and witnesses say you're the only one who entered her home. What do you have to say in your defense?" The fox's eyes widened at this information, because sure, he's done things that most likely weren't 'acceptable', but he hadn't ever killed anything that wasn't food to him! Even then, he was careful that he didn't attack shifters. It was always hard to tell them apart from actual animals. "I would never harm someone to that extent. Not without reason, at least," he responded, realizing his silence wasn't likely going to be taken as a good sign. "May I ask what the weapon was?" he asked. The fae's eyes narrowed. "It seems as though she was given a cake that contained poison." He froze, because he knew that, from the look on their face, the fairy already knew he had given her the cake. "How...?" he muttered. "Do you have any other defenses?" He slowly shook his head, his words dying on his lips as the chimera's three heads focused on him. Something about the hybrid creature made him feel uneasy. Maybe it was the fact their eyes seemed to stare into his soul. Either way, it left him unable to form a proper sentence for some reason. The fairy seemed to almost grin. "Sit over there until the rest is finished," they said, gesturing to four chairs off to the side. Ashen did as they ordered, knowing that now, there was nothing he could say.

Llyr decided to step forwards next, his golden gaze moving to the kitsune that was now simply watching how it went, still in his 'human' form. "Llyr the reaper, hmm? A shame you didn't keep collecting. You might have been able to get out of this," the griffin said. "That's why I left," he responded simply, glancing back at the two reapers that had brought them there. One shifted slightly, while the second didn't seem to notice; He noticed their scythes were gone and it was impossible to tell the two apart without them. "Eyes up here. You've been charged with murder, too; Your scythe was the weapon used." He quickly turned his attention back to the griffin when it said 'eyes up here', but when it mentioned his scythe, his eyes widened. "...I threw that out," he responded bluntly. ...Was the griffin... Grinning? No, it couldn't be... "It was indeed found in the garbage, with the victim's blood on it, and your fingerprints." Without giving the reaper a second to respond, the winged beast continued. "And the soul was removed, with work that could have only been that of a reaper. Now, your defense?" Llyr was... Confused. Why would someone frame him? Apparently, he was quiet a bit too long, because the griffin took that as a 'none'. "It seems like you're-" "What time was the death?" The griffin seemed annoyed that he interrupted them, but responded anyways. "Midnight." "Any witnesses?" "Two. Both claimed they saw a man of your height, in a cloak, who left after the victim died, along with a shorter cloaked person who didn't seem very stable on their feet. They didn't expect anything until the body was found, and they learned their life was not to be taken." Llyr was silent again. "Anything else?" Slowly, he shook his head. He was out at that time, and no one else had been around, so he couldn't present a witness or anything of the sort. "Sit with the fox." The reaper wasn't able to do anything but comply.

After a short pause, Rose attempted to step forwards and ended up stumbling instead. Catching herself before she fell, she lifted her eyes to the griffin. "Ah, um... What have I been charged with?" she asked timidly. It was the chimera's goat head that spoke this time, though, drawing her attention to it. "Rose, correct? You're an accomplice." Her eyes widened. "W-Wait... What?" The goat... Er, chimera... was so direct, but also a bit cryptic. "To what, exactly?" she asked. "Although only Llyr's fingerprints were found on the scythe, yours were found on the victim's wrists and mouth. Almost as if you had held them in place while keeping them from crying out," the chimera answered calmly. "...What." The girl stared at the chimera, dumbfounded. She didn't even think that she could do that. After probably about a minute of silence, she finally let out a sigh, shaking her head, before offering a weak grin. "I'm sure you'd be able to find some flaw in my defense that'll cause it all to fall down, so... I didn't do it. But I can't really prove that, I don't think. So I'll just go sit with the rest," she decided, knowing that this was most likely a terrible idea, but honestly, she didn't know what else to do. The chimera seemed rather amused by this, and simply nodded. She walked over and sat down beside Llyr, who watched her instead of seeing who they'd pick next. He spoke quietly to her, so that they wouldn't disturb the council. She simply either nodded or shook her head in response.

"Either one of you can step forwards, or we can pick. Your choice," the fairy said to the remaining three.

((You can control the council characters for your three, or I can, whichever you'd prefer! Most of the council there is corrupted by humans most likely.

Ahh I feel so bad for Xipilli right now.))

((You might feel even worse after Xipilli’s trial))

“Ryu Lung” The Griffin called as the three didn’t move. Ryu stepped forward hesitantly. “You are charged of murder. The victim a human named Theo Drow was suffocated.”

“Theo? But Theo was….How..?”

“You have the ability to bend air correct? And you have filed numerous complaints about this teen. He even attacked you with a sword-“ “He was on some sort of drug! He was just a kid! Yes I filed complaints, the whole neighborhood did but I never pressed charges.”The chimera growled at his interruption. He and the three headed beast had a stare down as the griffin continued. “Your hair and talon clippings where found at the scene along with two witness accounts, one saying you where talking to Theo the night of the murder, the other saw you leave the home in a hurry. Your defense?”“ What time and day was the murder at?”“At eleven pm on August twenty first.” The fairy said.

Ryu remained silent. He had talked to Theo that night after work. No parties that night because of fall break at the college. “Take your seat then.” The griffin ordered smugly and the half dragon made his way to the others.

Mosi marched up and glared at the group. “All right lets get this over with. I see what this is. What the Hell did I do?” This time one of the two humans spoke, it was the one that smelled like a dog. “You killed a man by the name of Ty Reacher.” “Really? Pity I can think of lots of shifters and human women who would Love to kill that ass of a rake.“She said bluntly crossing her arms. She wasn’t big on the sweet act. “You don’t deny you killed him?”

“Oh no, I know I didn’t do it, but I agree with the only other chick here, you’d find some reason to why I did it. But I would like to know how?” “Simple, your saliva was on his neck and his throat ripped out. Claw marks also mutilated his body. The corpse had to be identified by DNA and his dental records.” He replied with a ghost of a smile on his lips.

Mosi gave him a grin. “When?” “Yesterday at three.” Mosi stopped and laughed. “Oh! Oh boy, all that work for nothing! I wanted to see that censorkip.gif***’s face after I flattened his beautiful Ford to a blue pancake for cheating on me with five other women during the two weeks he dated me. Pity, pity. I’ll take my spot thank you.” She marched over to the others and stood by Lyre, but not without flipping the bird to the one who spoke to her.

((Mosi at her finest. Rake is another word for player.))

The only one left was Xipilli, who despite his snake size, looked small and frail under the scrutiny of the council. “Xipilli” This time the other human spoke, quite harshly. The snake man flinched and looked up at him. “You are charged with the murder of Lilly Evens.” Mosi gasped at the name and watched as this sank in for the Naga. His mocha colored skin turned creamy as he whimpered “Lilly…. Is….dead?” “Bruising was on her torso consistent of constricting, your scales under her nails and your DNA on her mouth…..” He leaned forward. “It’s sickening, kissing a woman you’re killing.”

Xipilli started rocking holding himself. “N-n-n-ot lilly…Sss-wa-wa sweet l-lillieeeee…” He wined hiccupping and sobbing. The banshee asked him softly. “Where you close?”He nodded. “B-b-est fr-fri-end… L-l-oved s-s-n-snakes….” He wailed. He tried to take a few breaths to talk without blubbering. “I loved her… l-l-ike a s-si-ster.. She would m-make me s-swe-eaters and we’d talk about stuff….s-she’s g-g-one?” He whimpered looking at the banshee. The ghostly woman looked somber (although they always did) as she nodded and the Naga screamed and wailed. Some held their ears, annoyed. “SILENCE!” the chimera roars making him turn even whiter duck in the coils trembling and whimpering. “Put him with the others. He didn’t deny himself and thus is guilty of his crime!” The lion head said to the sand woman. The banshee didn’t look so sold on him being guilty. She knew when someone was faking tears and this one was expressing pure grief although with a majority of the council nodding their heads, her opinion would be ignored anyway. Mosi looked pained by the sight of her friend in such a state.

((Mosi is great and someone should hug Xipilli.))

The sandwoman and the banshee's eyes locked as some of the sand rose off of the ground, forming a hand. Treating the naga more carefully than it looked, she picked him up and set him with the others. "Your decision?" one of the reapers asked, tilting their head. "All of them are sentenced to the abyss." The banshee's eyes widened, but she kept silent, knowing that nothing that she could say would change their minds. The sandwoman seemed to be fighting back a protest too, although the reapers were unreadable, as always. "Now, I trust you three can take care of transporting these six?" the fairy said to the two reapers and the sandwoman. They nodded, keeping silent. "Then off you go." Without another word, the council turned and left the room though a door that couldn't be seen very well in the darkness.

None of the ones who were supposed to transport them spoke for a while, before finally, the sandwoman sighed. "Would you mind opening a door? I'd get my partner to do it, but seeing as he isn't here right now..." She trailed off, eyes narrowing. One of the reapers nodded, walking to the door they had come out of. A scythe materialized in their hand, and they tapped the door with the tip of it. Immediately, the same magic that had been in the cafe before seemed to ooze out of the door. "Would you mind bringing them in?" they asked, opening the door to reveal darkness. "What do I look like? A taxi?" she grumbled, but lifted two more 'hands' anyways. Opening a pouch at her waist, three more hands appeared. "Alright, either you can walk, or I can carry you. If you're going to walk, get through the door," she snapped, while picking up Xipilli. It was a lot gentler than before, though that could have easily been just because now he was awake.

As the two cloaked reapers left through the door, Llyr looked over at the woman who stood beside him. "That was interesting to watch," he muttered, referring to her 'trial'. Glancing over at Rose, who was currently trembling, he walked over to the human, helping her off of her chair. She paused, looking at the naga in the sandwoman's 'hand', before gripping the reaper's sleeve tightly. He glanced down at her, but didn't say anything, instead beginning to walk to the door slowly. She didn't loosen her grip, instead turning her gaze to the ground and following him through the door. She didn't know anyone else as well as she knew Llyr here, and she didn't know what was going on, minus that it didn't seem like anyone was guilty. Although she had put on a brave act when speaking to the chimera, she couldn't stop shaking. But she had a feeling that something worse was on it's way.

Ashen, on the other hand, had been rather amused most of the time. The chimera and 'Ryu's' stare down was rather amusing to witness, along with the werepuma's comments on who she supposedly murdered. As soon as the one called Xipilli was up, though, his smirk vanished, and instead, he fought back the urge to burn the human... And the chimera. His ears pressed turned back as the naga wailed, an automatic reaction, but stayed back as the chimera snapped, narrowing his eyes at the hybrid creature. His ears turned back when they decided their fate, eyes widening as they decided the abyss. "Well, this will be interesting, if nothing else," he mumbled to himself, standing up as they were told to either go through the door or be carried. "I wouldn't mind being carried by a pretty lady such as yourself," he said, louder, unable to help himself. The sandwoman glared at him, before lifting him by the back of his kimono. "And I wouldn't mind dropping you from a tall building," she snapped back. "You look just as pretty when you're angry," the fox responded with a smirk. The woman was silent for a few moments, before dropping him and releasing her control over the sand hand she was using. The dust dropped on the fox, causing him to sneeze, before swaying and collapsing, unconscious again. With a few choice words, she picked him up with another hand, flicking her wrist as she did so to gather the remaining dust in a pile.

((Ashen please do not flirt with the enemy.)

Ryu stripped off his jacket and gently covered the humans shoulders. She swam in the cloth made for a six foot man. "You where very brave up there. As you heard, I'm Ryu. I am... was a meteorologist for channel four morning and nightly news... " He looked up and sighed heavily heading slowly to the door with her and Llyr when ordered to.

Mosi smirked. "They're all frauds except for the banshee. She actually looked like she wanted to argue about Xi's case.... speaking of.... She went over to the still sobbing naga. "Hey.... why didn't you tell them that you don't like girls? It would've below the entire thing to bits...." She peeked over the coils and the sand at him as he peeked out of his green scaled bunker. "O-only told you and her... and.. I've been told it's o-obvious.." She petted his hair as she moved with the hand to the door. "Well, you may be cold blooded, but you have the kindest heart I know. We'll figure something out ok? You still have me."

Xipilli sat up a bit more and sniffed looking at the sand woman. "Thank you for carrying me, I don't think I'd be able to m-move... the lion thing scared me... I've never seen one of those b-before. I hope yako the blue is holding up better than I am... He was planning on asking l-lilly to marry him today.... " "Yako the blue Naga with the horns and the "I can kill you in one strike" air to him? That Yako? Wow.... I didn't see that coming. I thought he didn't like humans... Sad, I knew her too. She put up with me, and I drove my family away from me. Who ever actually did that will pay big time." She growls as the snake man continues to sob. He asked the woman a question. "p-please miss..... c-cam you make me sleep? I.. I don't want to see w-where we're going! ¡por favor,, ten piedad de mí!"

((All of the creatures that carried them there are 'neutral' for now, by the way. They're just doing their job, and are neither against or with the council.))

"A-Ah, um, thank you. I'm Rose, as they, um, as they said. Just a... A human who ran a cafe," she responded with a smile, looking up at the naga as she pulled the jacket around her, releasing Llyr's arm as she did so. The reaper who's arm she was previously clinging to glanced at Ryu from the corner of his eye, before returning his focus to where they were going. Not that he could see much. This wasn't your regular darkness. Rather, it was as if the place was filled with smoke that formed a 'bubble' around the group. Which meant that if anything else was in there with them, they wouldn't be able to see them until it was too late.

The sandwoman's gaze softened. "Of course, little one. The chimera isn't a very common creature. Tends to spook most," she responded gently, allowing most of the sand from the others hands to go back into her pouch. The small remaining bit was breathed in by the naga in order to put him to sleep as she closed the door behind her, before turning and following the reapers in the lead. There was a soft thud as one of their scythes were used to open another door, rather than the hole they had gone through before. The door was, strangely enough, attached to a wall and nothing else, but it seemed as if this was normal. Three meters away was what appeared to be a large crack in the ground, with no visible bottom. "And this, ladies, gentlemen, and everyone else, is where our journey with you ends," the grey-scythed reaper said, turning to the 'group' with a grin that was barely visible. "Please come stand over here in a line when you're ready! ...Or when you're out of the door, rather, because no one's truly 'ready'." They tilted their scythe to gesture to a place, their partner stepping aside before they hit them with the sharp weapon.

The sandwoman placed the naga down first, then the kitsune(although she was much rougher with the fox than she was with the snake, but who could blame her?). She made sure to leave enough room for Mosi between them, as she felt as if the werepuma would likely stay somewhere near him. Llyr moved to stand in the line of sorts, Rose hurrying after him with a quick grin directed at Ryu before she did so. He seemed nice. Under different circumstances, she might have talked to him more instead of keeping close to her friend, but she felt safer near him currently.
