Cold Iron & Pixie Dust [IC]

Recommended Posts

Look around you and see the wonder and mystery,

See through the Veil, beyond the ancient Masquerade.

Here there be monsters: but is it you or me?

Background

When that video went viral, the whole world changed forever. A grand display of cutting-edge special effects? A prank? A publicity stunt by a news broadcaster looking to up their ratings? No, it was soon realized. That car had been torn apart, blasted into a misshapen hunk of metal. The pavement had been cracked as if a giant had stepped on it. Those windows had shattered in what had to have been the quietest earthquake in a place nowhere near any fault lines or tectonic plates.

No, the world soon came to realize. This was something much bigger.

Where faeries, elves, centaurs, goblins, and their ilk were once creatures of legend, it soon became clear that they not only existed, but they had been intermixed with human society for centuries.

Plot

The masquerade has existed for centuries, separating the supernatural creatures of myth and legend from the mundane humans. Due to the advancement of technology and communication networks, humans have discovered the existence of these creatures, and now there is irrefutable proof. The supernatural world is in upheaval, and there are political factions on the rise on whether to integrate into human society or pull away, whether to assert their authority over the weaker humans as benevolent deities or to protect and help them.

Humans are split on what to do now that they know there are vampires, werewolves, the fae, and magic-users in their midst, and some are calling for identification and segregation, while others simply want to eliminate them all. The human governments themselves are undecided on the matter, especially since a once secret branch of the government that has dealt with magical and supernatural creatures has revealed itself.

Setting

The roleplay will begin in a bustling city in the heart of the United States. Steel and glass constructs jut into the sky, and the air is filled with the sounds of car horns and industrialization. Outside of the city proper, the skyscrapers and highways melt into suburbs and wooded areas, with a large forest and trees. In the distance, there are mountains, and even some old mines from long ago.

((OK, we need to do something goddammit!))

Inside a jewelry shop, located on a small street in the middle of some bustling US city, a man was sitting and looking thoroughly at a silver, V-shaped ring with a small sapphire that had been delivered to him today. He was searching for shape distortions, scratches and other flaws, yet it seemed that it was in a perfect condition, just as he had ordered. Some important businessmen had made an order for that ring about 2 weeks before and Blake, as that was the name of the jeweler, had just phoned him that it is ready for collection. To be honest, it was just an ordinary ring, yet by using his magnomancer magic he bent it to make it look like it was V-shaped, which cut his costs a bit.

Suddenly, a door opened and a potential customer entered Blake's shop. The mage looked at the clock hanging on the wall - it was 6:45 PM, and the shop was open until 7 PM. "Ugh... Late customers. The most picky and undecided ones. Great. He thought, but remained calm. "Welcome. Just be quick, I'm closing in 15 minutes." The person - a middle-aged man in a black suit - looked disoriented, but replied with a simple 'OK' to the shop owner and began looking at the wares. After about a minute of checking various jewelry that Blake had on sale, he didn't seem to find anything that he wanted. "Excuse me, but would you happen to have anything with rubies, apart from what you have shown here?" He finally asked.

"Are you looking for anything particular? Any shape, size, design you prefer? What type, ring, bracelet?" The magnomancer replied.

"No no no, it can be anything. Hell, it even can be a ruby without anything, I need the gem itself. You see, someone told me that they repel some if not most of the 'magic' monsters and stuff..."

Well, that is interesting The shop owner thought to himself. He heard many different stories about what would fight off the magical and mythical, which just proved the imagination of the human kind, yet rubies were something he had never heard of - okay, it MIGHT be a kryptonite for some race, but definitely not for MOST of 'magic' species, as his customer had heard from someone. Nevertheless, customer is king and therefore he didn't ask about the source of this rumor and grabbed some other pieces of jewelry infused with red ruby gems. "These are the biggest I have at stock right now, however you could always order something with a bigger gem. I warn you, though - the price would be high. Really high." He replied, hoping to get some profit of that.

"Expense is no object for me. As for now I'll take this bracelet, and I'd like to order..."

------

After taking the order from his last customer, Blake locked the shop and went in direction of a nearby bar, whistling. Today's deal would definitely give him a great profit and it brought a smile on the magnomancer's face. However, he was tired after whole day of work and this situation with a guy in a suit took some time (the order files were quite a pain in the arse to fill), so it was 7:30 PM already. He decided that a glass of whiskey or two would be great to mark this day with success and therefore went to the nearest bar where he was often going after his job.

After he walked in, Blake immediately went straight to the bar. People have already started to gather to have some fun or drink, yet the place wasn't yet crowded. He noticed that this day behind the bar worked one of magical beings, Sarkan, - in human form, of course - with whom he sometimes talked if there weren't too much people. "Oy Sarkan! Same as always. I've got some things to celebrate." The mage said and put calculated money for a glass of whiskey at the bar.

((My INTRO

And sorry, but I fealt so uncreative at the time, I took a baker as well ;-; ))

???

Ugh, WORK. The girl groaned.. She HATED this with a burning passion. Sure, baking things was fun, but she wanted to unfurl her wings and fly in the sky. Being a Thunder dragon was much more fun then being a baker, but here she was, selling stuff. The scent wafted through the air, making saliva build up in her mouth. She had to drive off the temptation to stuff some in her mouth. After all, she needed to support herself in this discriminating human society. She scowled at the silly problems of the human race. So many scuffles and little problems, and they never bothered to settle their problems. War, peace, war, peace. The cycle kept going and going. It seemed like the humans would never decide on one thing, and no matter how many treaties they signed or how many times they preached, they always fell into war. To make things worse, most of them are careless about the living things around them, hailing themselves as the highest race of all. Worst of all; they fear the unknown, and what they cannot understand they try to get rid of or destroy. A few were sensible and wise, but the greedy and selfish always oveetook the wise. One of the most interesting things about them was how much they could get done in their short lives. Compared to a dragon, their lives were like butterflies, but they got so far in a short amount of time on this Earth. It was interesting, watching them grow and evolve.

Um...hello?

She jerked her head up. Apparently, she had zoned out and was just now brought back to reality. She had to work!

You're...Obsi, right? Interesting name. The voice said again, and she turned around to see a friendly face grinning at her. Oh. It was that guy. That super cute guy with the messy, fluffy black hair and the deep blue eyes and OH I AM GETTING OVERWHELMED BY THIS HUMAN STATE! She quickly snapped her attention back to him.

Um....yup! And you're Richard, correct? I-I've seen you around. She almost smacked herself for acting like such a fangirl. She was a DRAGON in human form, for godness sake! Yet...she felt like running. Eh, her shift was almost over.

You, uh, want to hang out at the bar or something later, to get to know each other? Richard sweetley asked, cocking his head to the side slightly when he did so.

She hoped he didn't notice the growing red on her cheeks. Uh...yeah! Sure! She rubbed the back of her head and they both continued to work, the man humming as he made some bread dough.

~~~~~~~~
Ah, I'm here. Obsi thought to herself, walking into the bar. She looked around for Richard, who said he would be here somewhere around now.
Hey! There you are! The familiar sweet voice rang from behind her. She turned around to see that goofy face coming towards her.
Well...hi! He fealt her lighty ruffle her brown hair and saw him smile. She tightened her ponytail and moved foward.
((Wait, our characters would know each other?))
In a restaurant located at one of the most busiest streets, worked a waitress by the name of Crimson, though she looked completely human that wasn't her natural identity. Never will she show her true form in such places, it was best for most creatures to keep themselves concealed. The female had grown weary and her patience was worn throughout the day, one of the most busiest work shifts she had ever experienced yet at the place. As the shift was drawing to a close she had one more table to service - a small group of men.
As Crimson awaited the men and got their orders she paid sharp attention to their overly flirtatious ways towards her, making her feel sick and cold. 'Seems like typical human males who can't grow up already." she thought silently to herself. When a fellow waitress informed the young female that her work was done and that she'd cover for her she turned to leave.
Though as she did so one of the males raced after her and placed his hands on her, pleading that she stay for a little more. Big mistake. Crimson could feel anger swell up inside her, her patience was long gone at this point and there was no holding back. Fixing her gaze towards him she hissed lowly. "Get your hands OFF me..." Her once normal eyes were now dilated into slits from aggravation, a simple slip up on her part that she forgot to hide. The male instantly let go and suck in a silent breath at the sight, too stunned to comprehend what was in front of him until a faint word escaped his lips. "......Demon....." Crimson then realized her mistake and turned away, fleeing the scene as calmly as possible to regain herself, her eyes turning back to normal as she went.
'What was I thinking?!' Her thoughts began to race in panic, her cover was partially blown and there was no way that man would forget that. Yet again, there was plenty of workers who would take up for her defense. With a heavy sigh the female made her way to a well known spa and medicinal shop, hoping to buy something to take the edge off of her sore muscles.
Crimson walked into the facility and looked around for a bit until her gaze fell on one of the workers with rather long green hair as well as colored eyes. Taking notice that he wasn't servicing anyone she strode up to him and gave a kind smile before she spoke. "Hello, I heard that this place is well known for its herbs and treatments. And so I was wondering if you had any kind of herbs that would help remove tension as well as soreness in muscles?"
Dorijan quietly hummed along with the calming ambient music playing through the store's speakers, accented by the gentle noise of flowing water from the small fountain in one of the corners. He sat at the reception desk, slowly swinging his legs and idly staring at the small water plants he grew in glasses on the table. It was getting somewhat late and their shop had been empty for a good while aside from himself. His father was outside doing something or other, probably smoking, knowing him. The stillness and fading light had made Dorijan extremely drowsy and he struggled to keep his eyes open, resting his head on his hand.
He then flinched slightly and looked up as the sound of the door opening snapped him out of his thoughts. He smiled back at the woman who walked inside, then paused as he pondered for an answer to her inquiry.
"Tension and soreness..." Dorijan murmured slowly, touching his fingers to his lips in thought. "Hmm, well, we have several things for something like that. Our teas are very popular. Our other customers with your sort of problems are fond of our chamomile, black, and green teas especially.... lemon balm is also good for stress. I think any of them could help you..."
As he spoke, he gestured to the left of the store at a large shelf collection of tea blends, then turned to face the other end of the store. "We have lots of other things too if you're not looking for tea. There's a lot of different kinds of tinctures over there... they're liquid herb extracts. They taste a little strong, but they're very fast acting. Hmm... there's also some oils and lotions for muscle pain, aromatherapy bags and candles for stress... Oh, our herbal bath mixes are really popular too."
Dorijan looked back to the woman and smiled again. "There's a lot of options for you... I think you might get the best results from the teas, tinctures, or bath mixes, personally. But almost anything here should work."
Damia was sitting in the main bar in the area, drumming her fingers on the hardwood table. She was not booked tonight, yet here she was. Shops where closing for the night, and she had no obligations and she just... wandered in.
Sighing, she drained her lemonade and signaled the bar tender for yet another. She watched the current "act" on stage, just some smart *** cracking rude jokes. Smiling slightly, the pail girl noticed the comedians pants hung loosely. The sag was just right, proving he had suspenders on. She closed her eyes, rubbing her head as if she had a headache, as she slowly used a small bit of her fire on the unseen straps. Damia snickered as the mans pants dropped, revealing boxers with little pink hearts. "Now this is entertainment" she though smugly.
Felicity grinned as the last of her work at the bakery was completed. The other girl, Obsi, had left with a guy a few minutes ago. The cheerful young girl tucked a strand of golden-blonde hair behind her ear and hung up her apron. "See you tomorrow, Billy!" She called to the older man who owned the bakery. She skipped out cheerfully, walking back to her house so that she could change into something more comfortable before going down to the local bar. She didn't drink, but she enjoyed making conversation with the bar's occupants. That, and some of the entertainment there was pretty dang funny. As she was walking past an alleyway she heard a weak mew from inside. Curious, Felicity walked silently down the alley, her blue eyes burning with curiosity. She heard the sound again and followed it, stopping in front of a tipped trash can with garbage spilling out. Moments later the dirty white head of a kitten popped out, followed clumsily by the rest of its body. The kitten's most startling feature was its eyes, one blue and the other yellow. Its tail was crooked, as if it had been broken, and its back left leg looked like it had been broken and healed incorrectly. The kitten sat down and stared up at a startled Felicity and mewed again before it gave an enormous yawn.
Felicity was slightly surprised at the ragged appearance of the kitten and decided to take it home with her. She reached down slowly and the kitten hissed - not very threateningly - and stumbled backwards, staring at the Charmer with wide eyes. She made eye contact with the kitten, speaking softly and Charming it into trusting her. The kitten, which Felicity realized was a female, padded hesitantly over to the girl and grudgingly allowed Felicity to pick her up. "I know!" Felicity exclaimed brightly to herself. "I'll keep you! I mean, I can't exactly leave you out here." She walked cheerily out of the alley and back to her apartment. She set the kitten down in a spare cardboard box she had found along with an old blanket and a bowl of water. She gave her some tuna fish which the kitten eagerly devoured before meowing loudly for more. "I think I'll name you... Moon! That's a good name for a cat, right?" She asked Moon, who was intently staring at the tuna fish in Felicity's hand. "I guess you can have this and the rest later." She gave the kitten more before going to change into jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of sandals. By the time she got back into the kitchen Moon was sleeping soundly. "I'll have to wash you later, but you need to stay here." Felicity said. Moon didn't even move, and Felicity decided the best course of action was to cover the box with a thin sheet so that Moon couldn't escape and leave for the bar.
Felicity made it to the bar in a few minutes, plopping down on a bar stool next to a man that was calling for a drink. The man tending the bar was named Sarkan, she thought, and she had spoken to him once or twice but really didn't know much past his name. She spotted her co-worker, Obsi, and waved in her direction, wanting to talk to her but not wanting to interrupt whatever was going on between her and that boy from earlier. So she had no one to talk to.
Crimson nodded her head as he spoke, taking note of each item available for her benefit. When the clerk finished explaining and showing where each remedy was located she smiled once more and began to speak. "Thank you for the suggestions, they're very helpful." With that, the female strode over to the tea section and admired the mass collection of the herbal drink mixes, there was quite a variety to select from. Crimson's gaze fell on a green tea blend that caught her attention, the ingredients were highly suitable for her needs and it wasn't too strong in flavor for it to be unpleasant. After taking the jar from the shelf and giving it one last examination she walked back to the counter and set the herbal remedy down for purchasing. "I believe this will be all for tonight, it'll do just fine." She said with a much more softer tone than before. The place had a soothing atmosphere which the draconic female took a well liking to, she'll definitely make sure to visit more often when its needed.
Coming around from the back room, Sarkan heard a familiar voice. A smirk on his face, he swiped the money and slid him the whiskey in a glass, "And what are you celebrating about now Blake? Hopefully nothing to get yourself hammered over." Sarkan ran his hand through his hair as he observed the people in his bar. He could see those who were hiding something, powers or their true form. Regardless of which, his power of a guardian allowing him to tell his "kind" apart from mortals. Being retired from that in peace, it was only something he used to keep the peace of his bar. No matter who was drunk, he made sure no trouble was caused. He was respected enough not to be angered.
"Don't worry pal, everything is just fine." Blake laughed and then took a sip of his drink. Then he leaned in direction of the bartender to tell him what he's celebrating. "Believe me or not, but some rich guy with a lot of money to spend ordered from me a full hand 24 carat gold bracelet encrusted with rubies from Burma". He boasted and returned to normal position after he finished. "Won't tell you how much I'll earn from this as I dunno how much will the rubies cost, but damn, it is surely my biggest deal as for now! Of course made him pay an advance to cover the import costs... And trust me, you've never seen that much money anywhere." The magnomancer added and took another sip of his whiskey. "And you know what's the best part? He made it because someone told him that it would 'save' him from magical and others of the unknown kin!" Blake said again with lowered voice so only Sarkan could hear him, but then burst with laugh as he couldn't believe how foolish and superstitious people were.
Hearing the group by the bar talking about jwery sales. The disckised half dragon picked up her glass of Blue lagoon (mixed drink, love it!), and got up out of her chair gracefully. She slowly walked up, and took a seat by the male, just far enough away to be out of his personal space. "Did I hear rubies...?" She clearly had a one track mind.
Sarkan looked at the woman with a analyzing look. He could see she wasn't pure human, mixed with a hint a brimstone, Sarkan could see the dragon for who she was. He leaned back inside the bar, "What's it to you? It's not like Blake her hands out free gems to strangers." He poured himself a shot of scotch and downed it, the drink not even fazing him. Being who he was, it would take a large amount of alcohol to get him even tipsy.
"Like I would want hand out crystals" Damia shot back, clearly unfazed. The half dragon did not like the way the man looked at her, he might very well be aware she was... different. Rare as half dragons where, particularly of her element, it was unlike he knew her full nature. I need to be more careful, I do not want to be on the run again..Downing her drink in one go, she turned to the other male "I am new to this area, and you could call me... a rather avid collector of select pieces. Do you have a business card, so I contact you in a more... favorable setting?" The pail woman paused, setting her empty glass down sharply. She got out her wallet, and bulled out a small wad of cash. Counting it, she sat down enough for a refill and a overly generous tip "Refill please." She looked up trying to lock eyes with the man over the counter, her draconic eyes slowly turning darker as she tried to learn of the mans nature.
Sarkan looked back, unfazed by her gaze. He took the tip and returned with a refill, "I can tell that your new, I never forget a face or a name. The name is Sarkan, I own and run this bar." He leaned in closer so only the two next to him could hear him and no one else, "I don't get many dragons in my bar miss... but Blake here is a good customer, I would hope your business isn't going to cause any harm." He leaned back, any lock she made with his eyes, she could read an ancient and power nature from Sarkan, as is a guardian of the realm.
The half dragoness smirked, her sharper than natural teeth flashing briefly. She had an idea what kind of creature she was dealing with, or at least that it was element based, and quite old. Totally relaxed in her chair, she pushed a strand of her long hair out of her face "Missed the mark by a decent margin, try again. As for harm.. Stay out of my territory, and don't attack me and I have no reason to be trouble." Her eyes flickered black briefly as she spoke of her lair, it could be mistaken for a shift in the lighting. She took a sip of the drink, clearly savoring the flavor.
Dorijan shyly looked aside and fiddled with his hair when the woman thanked him, then returned her gaze as she handed over the tea jar.
"It's 7.99. Thank you." He said, picking up the blend from the desk and processing the transaction. Before he could finish, one of the back doors loudly swung open, causing Dorijan to jump in fright and nearly drop the jar. The rusalka looked over his shoulder and met the eyes of his father, as expected. He was a tall, lanky older water spirit called Vodnik with long greenish-yellow hair, a long beard, and skin as pale as Dorijan's. He walked over to the counter, bringing with him a very strong smell of tobacco.
"Finish whatever you're doing quickly, boy." Vodnik muttered, completely ignoring the customer and glaring slightly at Dorijan. He spoke very rapidly in a low volume, making him somewhat difficult to understand. "Need a drink. Not leaving you alone here after last time."
"O-Okay." Dorijan fidgeted, strongly hoping Crimson hadn't heard the last part. They recently had to close the shop for almost a week to get rid of all the malevolently enchanted plants of his accidental doing and Vodnik was still visibly angry about it. "Uh... that should be everything? Have a nice day, ma'am."
Crimson tensed slightly as the older male entered the room, seeing that he definitely wasn't in the greatest of moods. Though the female could hear very faintly what the man was saying she didn't bother to take his words to notice. After all it wasn't her business to be in anyway. Taking the tea jar she gave a curt nod to the clerk before she left. "Thank you, to you as well."
Crimson continued her walk across the city, the draconic female heading to her place of stay before leaving back out into the night once more. When she reached her home she carefully inspected the place, making sure that no one unwanted had trespassed into her domain. Finding that no one had entered she placed the tea carefully away to be used for later then went to change her style of clothing, Crimson definitely didn't want to be caught out wearing something that didn't seem suitable for a bar area. It wasn't too uncommon for the dragoness to be found at the local bar at nightfall, the female usually went when she had a long day at work or needed a good drink fix. Once Crimson changed her outfit to skinny jeans and a nice fitted black shirt she examined her form, making sure none of her draconic qualities were visible. 'Looks rather good to me.'
The dragoness finally arrived at the bar after some time, upon entering the female studied the people around her, keeping tabs of those that she should keep slight caution around due to their slight drunken state. Crimson took a seat quite a ways from a small group that had already gathered by the bartender, the female eyeing them closely for a few moments before turning her gaze back to the area around her. From what she could tell there was quite a bit of tension between the bartender and a young looking female who was engaged in a conversation with him. With a sigh she waited rather patiently for the male to be available again before requesting a drink.
"Sure, lemme get it..." Blake said and pulled out a business card from the inner pocket of his jacket. He handed it over to the woman - who according to what Sarkan said was a dragoness of some sort - and gave her a curious look. He tried to recall when he last met a dragon in human form. Of course it happened sometime that he went on some business trip to apparently non-inhabited place were a dragon had it's lair, but in a town... No, not really.
The magnomancer took another sip of whiskey before speaking. "Anyway, my name is Blake Farnham, magnomancer and jeweler, coming from a noble Farnham family, once one of the most influential in our world." He greeted himself to the lady. Then he noticed that yet another female took a seat by them. Luckily she didn't hear his words - he was smart enough to greet himself quiet enough, so only the owner and the dragoness heard him.
Dorijan politely nodded to the woman as she turned around, then sighed in relief and relaxed in his chair when the door closed. He could feel Vodnik's gaze burning into him every second before the customer left.
"About time. Let's go." The elder grunted and began shuffling to the exit, grabbing his over-sized, patchy denim trench coat from the jacket hanger by the entrance. Dorijan nodded and quickly paced after him, smoothing out his dress as he went. Vodnik impatiently swung open the door and, unaffected by the sudden wave of cold outside air, started their walk to the closest bar.
"Remember, you." Vodnik began his lecture, taking large steps with his long legs at a pace that the rusalka could barely keep up with. "Don't talk to anyone."
He nodded. "I know."
Nothing more was said between them after that. Dorijan simply stared quietly at the passing scenery, grabbing his father's sleeve at one point so as not to get lost or fall behind. Within a few minutes, they reached the entrance of the bar and stepped inside. Dorijan reflexively hugged Vodnik's arm, his unease growing at the large crowd. His father usually went out alone, so he had only been here a few times in the past. Dragging him along, Vodnik settled down in the quietest corner of the bar he could find, and Dorijan sat down beside him. His father ordered a vodka, while Dorijan declined anything. He knew there would be no more speaking to him for the rest of the night, at least until they left. The elder disliked being interrupted when he drank. So, the rusalka simply rested his head on his hand and sleepily stared down at the counter.
The half dragoness eyes flicked over briefly to where the new woman sat, this place seemed to be swarmed in magical creatures... "Seeing as you where kind enough to tell me yours...." She purred lightly, pocketing the card. She continued in a quiet telepathic voice I am Damia, half dragon. Your friend missed the mark She winked at Blake, and took another sip of her drink. "I must say, this is one of the best Blue Lagoons I have had..... Damia got out her wallet, and placed another tip. She firmly believed in giving credit where it was due!
Obsi covered a yawn. She followed Richard as he walked towards the bar, where a small group had gathered. Sarkan. He whispered, rubbing his chin.
You know him?
Yes I do. I come here every so often, especially after a tiring day. Never been here? He answered and asked, heading towards the table.
Um...no....yeah. She nervously answered. Normally, after work, she would nap, and when the sun went down she would take a break from being human and shift back into dragon form. She would have to try NOT to do that here.
The two reached the table and sat near the small, chatting group. Obsi sighed and looked foward. Man, being a dragon is HARD in this discriminating human society. She thought, except she accidentally telepathically broadcasted it to any magical being in that area. Richard took a glance at her, as if HE picked it up as well.
A smile appeared on Blake's face as Damia used her telepathic skills to greet herself. The voice he heard was almost the same as her natural voice, but a kind of wild power could be sensed in it.
"Now, tell me Sarkan, what's hot in the bar?" Joked Blake, still in a good mood after making a deal of his life. He always had to make that joke when he was feeling well - he might had told it way too many times already. Before the bartender could reply to him, he heard another voice in his head, talking how it's not easy to be a dragon in this human society. Not hiding the surprised look on his face, he turned his gaze first to Damia, but the voice wasn't the same as hers, then he looked over his shoulder. He noticed a girl and a guy, the later glancing at her as like she did something impressive, while she just looked abashed - it didn't take Blake long to realize that she was the one who made that telepathic message, probably to every one in the bar, or at least every magical being here. "Well, missy, if you wanted to talk you could always just walk to us, you know..." The magnomancer said, startled.
Crimson flashed a kind smile at the group, finding that she could make acquaintances with these people if she could work up enough nerve to engage in a conversation with them. It was in that moment when a feminine voice had sounded in her thoughts and by the looks of it, she wasn't the only one who had heard it. The dragoness's gaze shifted to where the source of the telepathic message came from, her eyes resting on a girl just not too off from where she was. Crimson couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy for the young female, it was rather difficult for creatures to be themselves around these times. Not only that, but she was a dragon like herself, different type of breed more than likely, but they were still similar nonetheless. The dragoness shifted slightly as she communicated with telepathy back to the girl, making the connection to where only she could hear her. You're not alone on that one, I too know how it is to be a dragon in this society.
