((Multiverse)) Valkemare: The Everlasting Past

Recommended Posts

It started aeons ago with a void. And from that void.... was born Shadow. A nebulous entity made of shadow. And then, she formed the Multiverse from that primordial shadow.

Multiverse, you ask? All to be explained in due time.

Shadow created that Multiverse. For her aeons seemed to be seconds, and so the stars formed seemingly in seconds. In the blink of her eyes, planets formed alongside them.

And on them... evolved the first life over three or four aeons. Creatures without magic, but there was already an intrinsic magic to the world. A magic that created the Aetherial Plane, the world of magic and energy. These creatures harnessed electricity, precursor to true magic.

But within the Aetherial Plane, a powerful evil formed. It formed in that nexus of magic beyond Shadow. It reared its dark head, and wiped out many species before Shadow could act. It brought misery, pain and sorrow that seemed eternal for the long years they lasted.

And so Shadow called on the Aetherial Plane. From it, she created creatures that could use magic. She sent them to the many worlds. From those magical creatures, she gathered the most powerful ones. She made them Everlasting. The gods who were all things, from Fire to Life to Love. Shadow set them, her eternal children, to battle that evil.

Long years. Long years they walked among mortals. From the suffering of the many, the Everlasting arose. They called to Shadow, and she gave them a greater power to seal the primal evil that raged. Then Shadow slumbered, thinking they would rule golden aeons to come. Yet... how wrong she was. For even gods had to sleep after sealing that primal evil. As they slept, the Multiverse evolved and changed.

For the first few aeons of this, it worked. The world flourished... but eventually it tilted into darkness.

The children of the many universes battled. They trapped their gods. So when Shadow awoke, she woke to a Multiverse done wrong aeons over. A Multiverse... stained with blood, where the stars and planets, and the galaxies were dying.

Shadow was filled with a consuming wrath. A divine fury, toward the insolent mortals who cast away her children after she had given those mortals the gift of magic.

In her wrath, she turned one mortal into a Lorekeeper to remind the worlds of what went wrong, to see a world of infinite possibilities and infinite pain. And then... Shadow destroyed. From the ashes, she created a dragon to be the ageless king over a new world.

His name was Silver Shield. From the ashes of the dying world, Shadow formed Valkemare Eternal. She gave him the power to create. To be a giant, amongst his mortals.

Silver Shield created a world of life, Galsreim its crowning jewel. Humans and Dragons he gave his final gift that Shadow had given him. Sentience. And so, Silver Shield, exhausted, fell into the ethereal sleep of the Gods.

Aeons passed, and Valkemare flourished. But all things must come to an end. Tonight the golden age ends.

For that aeons-old seal on the other Everlasting has broken. Driven mad by aeons of confinement, they escaped, and now they are wreaking havoc.

And they have awakened that aeons-old evil. They have shattered its seal. So it wakes. It returns evil spirits from eternities and eternities before.

However, Shadow awakens, and she has seen what her children brought. She has changed, and now wishes to destroy Valkemare. She seeks to create a world in her vision, a world where she is lone goddess.

Tonight the long dead return. The evil from past eternities awake. And those who were not so dark have met their ultimate doom.

Tonight you dream.

Tonight, Shadow gives you a mission... to determine the fate of Valkemare.

~~~
Dream
___
You awaken in a dead land. A land... where there are no stars. The sky is dead, and there is no light. Except a mysterious dark glow. The earth beneath your feet is charred. But yet, though you feel it, it seems insubstantial. On these dark plains, you see others. Some you don’t know of. Others are familiar in form.
And then a voice echoes.
Welcome.... to my land. Your world... has outlived its light. My children, darkened by the aeons, and by those who have done them wrong, have awakened a powerful evil. An evil, born of the Multiverse’s evil.
You mortals are resourceful. Such a pity your world will end. But it must end.
For the first time, you see what is speaking in such an echoing voice. It is a nebulous creature, constantly changing shape.
It seems one second to be a grey fox, next to be a fox-dog with black shadowy bands, and then to be a pure black dragon with a fin running down its back. It has shadow streaming off it. Despite the desolate darkness of this place, its body has shadow flowing out of it and its eyes glow so white they leave energy trails. Quite the contrast.
Your world is lost to the cruel aeons. Cruel aeons that have done it wrong before.
Some in the crowd seem confused.
Aeons before Valkemare, there was a Multiverse. These dark remnants are all that is left of that once-glorious Multiverse.
Valkemare must end. It seems glorious, but it will end. I shall bring a new world. A new world, where I am the only God. Where your memories never were.
But yet you mortals are determined. Determined to live. To let your world live. I who allowed your creation... respect this. You have... a chance to save your world. Do not squander it.
If you wish to let your world see another aeon, you must kill the Everlasting of old. They, who are my children, they have been corrupted. They must be replaced. The evils that have escaped must be destroyed. Or sealed for all time. If you fail, your world dies, to be replaced.
I... am the True, Eternal Shadow. The world ends with... you.
Rules:
No godmodding/modding/powerplaying.
Good grammar, please.
Dragon Cave and DC Roleplay rules are in effect.
If you go inactive, your character becomes an NPC anyone can control. Inactivity is 7 days with no posts in this thread without prior notification. You may reclaim your character if you return.
I would like a ratio of 1-2 DC dragons: 1 other fictional characters. This is merely a guideline.
Any fictional character within reason can be RPed as, from a Mario character to an Astérix character. Eg: Bill Cypher or Haruhi Suzemaya are overpowered. However, someone like a lone Grox or Astérix without magic potion is allowed. So no one overpowered, but characters powerful in groups are allowed if there is only one. If someone is made overpowered by an external factor, that factor cannot be in effect.
Keep things PG-13.
OCs from Pokémon, Spore, DragCave, or other applicable universe cannot be overpowered. They must be realistic. Basically no Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus. Also, do not twist a canon character into overpoweredness.
Post the character sheet here or PM it to me so I can read it.
Yes, you can make up places in Galsreim. I also need two other continents and locations in them.
You are certainly welcome to set up subplots, but I may override them if they contradict the main plot to a large degree.
Loose maximum is 6 characters to prevent stress. You can have more if you can keep tabs on them.
Provide a reference for non-DC characters in image or detailed description form.
Show respect to others. Please do not be the abusive and abrasive jerk no one wants to talk to. And no being a troll.
Use (()) to denote OOC and () to denote notes on the IC that don’t fit in IC or OOC.
If you joined before this RP begins you must use the dream sequence in the OP as your intro. Eternal Shadow's dialogue and the setting cannot be different than in the OP. Anything else may be modified. Joining after the beginning allows you to simply integrate yourself into the RP.
NPCs can be controlled by anyone unless you specify exclusive control over them. Only major ones get a form. The minor ones who don’t appear much do not need a form.
This roleplay is for your enjoyment!
World Need to Know
-Everlasting are ageless but can be killed
-On an Everlasting’s death, unless Eternal Shadow killed them, they are replaced by the mortal with the most energy of that type
-Anyone not from DC universe was revived
-The evil from aeons ago is a dangerous and powerful threat
-The Multiverse was used to create Valkemare
-Silver Shield is not quite an Everlasting but powerful enough he counts as such
-Zombies gradually go mad, the length of time it takes depends on the soul’s connection to the body
-Someone revived from aeons ago by going through the Doors of Death is not a zombie. A zombie is revived via necromancy
-Magic, energy, and electricity all come from the Aetherial Plane
-The Aetherial Plane is the source of an Everlasting’s power
-The Dark Legion is controlled by ??? (Evil) and is made up of mortals and Corrupteon
-Thanatos has forced the Doors of Death (the passage between the living world and the land of the dead) open, so mortal souls who died long ago can escape
-The Doors of Death being open weakens the fabric of the Tomorrow-life and creates smaller passages between life and death
-No one is policing the Doors of Death... at least neutrally, as Caraden is searching for the most evil spirits to release them
-This RP's objective is to kill the Everlasting and destroy the Doors of Death to close all passages between life and death
-??? returned 25 years ago, the first few Corrupteon escaped 50 years ago and started recruiting and building up in secret
-The Everlasting began to break their seals about 200 years ago
-However, the Everlasting escaped and the Doors to Death opened appproximately 2 weeks before the RP begins.
Corrupteon (Always part of the Dark Legion)
Name:
Gender:
Appearance: A Corrupteon is a dark blue-purple shadowy quadrupedal foxlike creature, standing about 2 feet tall at its shoulder. Most have bright red sclerae and orange irises in draconic eyes, a mane of black fur running down its back, and a black ethereal tail with white clawed hand tip. A Corrupteon also has black "socks" on its feet. (Basic appearance you must work off of. Slight color changes, scars, accessiories, etc allowed)
Personality: Corrupteon are sadistic creatures that revel in pain, especially of non-Corrupteon. They become very vicious if another Corrupteon is attacked, but are indifferent if a non-Corrupteon member of the Dark Legion is attacked - at least most of the time. All Corrupteon are members of the Dark Legion. Most prefer to fight in large groups, and they tend to flee if they are outnumbered or outpowered.
Other: Ethereal tail can possess opponents, but only in very close range. Can shadow-travel, aka teleport to and from any shadow within a 100 mile radius. The further shadow-travel goes, the more debilitating it is. Can breathe fire, but nothing beyond that. (You can flesh out these abilities at your will, including the strength of them)
Character Sheets
Name: Eternal Slumber
Universe: Dragon Cave
Species: Soulpeace
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral
Appearance: Soulpeace with chain scar on his neck, claw-marks on his back, and whip scars on face and neck. He is very thin and has pale scales and feathers.
Personality: Skittish of others, preferring to run rather than get close to you. Very nervous, and high-strung. Due to mainly being shown cruelty, kindness is foreign to him and he may follow you if you are kind to him, no matter what you are. Unwilling to use Expunge, and scared of his magic.
History: As a hatchling, he lived a normal life until his magic came in. One day, he accidentally Expunged a Silver dragon. His owner whipped him to "cure" him of dark magic, but it happened again. His owner then chained him to a rock. He struggled to escape, but all he managed to do was badly injure his neck. A human found him and took him to his dragon tribe. Another accident with his magic resulted in the death of a Gray and his being clawed by the other dragons of the tribe. His new owner then abandoned him, telling others about the Soulpeace with black magic. As a result, he was attacked and shunned everywhere he went, until he went to the north, beyond the Avatars. In the frozen North, he discovered an abandoned cave, but he soon fled from the dragons who lived there after discovering it. He returned to the South, taking on a scavenging lifestyle and hiding in the dark.
Extra: Has powerful magic which he has never practiced controlling and is poor at using. His Expunge is powerful enough to kill, but he is too scared to use it and will be for a long time.
Name: Voltalia
Universe: Spore
Species: Volt
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Good
Appearance: user posted image with eyelashes and silver-tipped fur. She has a gun instead of a clock on one cheek, and knuckle-blades made of energy on her paws.
Personality: Aggressive and somewhat loud-mouthed. Can be rather rude. She does not like people who act entitled and goes out of her way to permanently scar them. She seems to always be spoiling for a good brawl. She has a very strong sense of justice. She is a good tactician and works fairly well in teams she is familiar with.
History: Aeons of time ago, she was born on a windy, arid planet named Spathe. She grew up to become a space captain, undergoing fierce competitions along the way. After going on many missions, including policing the galaxy like all Volts did, she was sent after another, small, empire that had broken the Galactic Code, as a squadron leader. Her squadron destroyed the other empire after a year-long war. She continued on this type of campaign, until decades later she was promoted to sergeant. As a sergeant, she often led fighting forces into war against medium-sized to larger-sized empires. However, during one particularly bloody battle she was shot down and killed. Aeons later, Thanatos’s opening the Doors of Death returned her to the living.
Extra:
Name: ...Steps?
Gender: Genderless; They/them
Universe: Journey (PS3)
Species: Rythulian, First Tier Red Cloak Traveler
Alignment: True Neutral
Appearance: user posted image
Personality: Steps is kind of stubborn, but is also very dependent on others. They are always checking on a companions emotional state and are always trying to make sure they are okay. While this helped quite a lot in their world, with a constant need to be relied upon and relying on others, it may not work out so well in Valkemare. Steps does think a little differently than others; because they are completely made out of fabric, they do not understand flesh and blood bodies and will have trouble understanding how they work. This also means that they are not afraid of getting hurt, and this may cause problems with others if Steps does something that will not put Steps in danger, but will harm an organic being. Steps also has little idea of personal space and shows affection by headbutting and leaning heavily on those they like. They are highly energetic, running around and chirping almost constantly. They understand being quiet, but only do so when the situation looks incredibly serious, aka, when it looks like something dangerous is around. They don't understand the common language that most beings speak, but Steps can pick up on emotions rather well and tries hard to make everyone happy, even at the expense of their body.
History: Like all the other travelers, they woke up in the desert and was making their way to the mountain. They have met up with multiple companions over time, but usually ended up parting ways later on. Their journey ended in the Underground Ruins, consumed by a Guardian when they tried to protect another traveler. After that, they were brought into the dream that Shadow created.
Extra:
- Communicates with chimes and chirps. Can't "talk".
- Steps would normally be Neutral Good, but the being made of fabric deal has them know nothing about organic creatures and they may get someone hurt because of that.
- Steps's scarf is not that long, very short actually, and is completely empty of energy. Valkemare probably doesn't have energy similar to Steps's life force, so it's very probable that Steps will not be able to fly again.
- Steps is a first tier traveler, meaning that they were only on their first journey to the mountain. The symbols on Steps's cloak signify this by being very basic.
- Steps's cloak feels harsh and rough, mostly by weathering of sand and sun, almost like sandpaper. It's flexible and does not restrict Steps in the slightest, since it is literally a part of them.
- Injury to Steps's body does not actually damage them. It's kind of complicated, but the only pain they can ever feel is from damage to their scarf. A tear does not hurt them, even if it is on their main body, but on Steps's scarf it would be quite painful.
- When Steps chirps, they make a symbol appear. It disappears quickly, but the louder Steps calls, the longer is stays around. The symbol is on the last one on the second row, the one that has two arches and two stairs. Steps can make other symbols appear, but this one is a personal marking, a name on their world. user posted image
Name: Michelle Monohan
Gender: Female
Universe: Arad. We think.
Species: Cypher… Basically normal person with superpowers.
Alignment: …Uhhhh….. I don’t know. Neutral Good?
Appearance: Link
Personality: Michelle is rather timid and shy, so when first meeting someone she would usually stutter or trail off with what she’s saying, if she approaches at all. Has a tendency to turn invisible if you startle her, especially if from behind. She’s a kind person once her guard is a bit lowered, and whatever happens she never wants to put others in danger unless absolutely necessary. She really enjoys helping others, even at the expense of her own safety and can be a bit too serious at times, though she would never turn down a reason to smile. She still tends to be shaky about things that reminds her of her past, even though she claims she’s gotten over it all now.
~ Her main ability is the ability to manipulate and sense “waves,” typically by way of telekinesis. This lets her gauge the energy of certain things and project her powers if she knows where to do so, as well as sense memories from objects and people*.
*She has to be pretty specific in what she’s looking for, however, and there is a high chance she can’t find what she is if only given a few things. Not only that, she can’t really get more than a few feeling and such to confirm her suspicions.
~Can turn things invisible for a short amount of time, usually less than 10 seconds.
~Said telekinesis usually has her hurling objects around her at someone ((she doesn’t usually throw the kitchen sink, don’t worry))
~Can create a large burst of energy a good ways around her that HURTS. However, this takes too much out of her to do without drawing energy from something else source.
~Otherwise shoots smaller “bullets” of that energy.
~Can teleport for short distances. Doing so too many times in a row tends to drain her.
~Anything related to her abilities usually have a lime green glow. Invisibility not included.
History: Ever since she was small, she was despised for being a cypher, and even left abandoned by her own parents. She eventually found some other cyphers to live and travel with, but they were rebuffed no matter where they went. Eventually, a group of… Raiders, shall we call them… Looking to take control recruited them and used them to control a city by force before some adventurers came and defeated her and the other cyphers. What Michelle couldn’t understand was why the adventurers had let them live.
Sometime later, a colossal disaster happened in Arad, much of which was blamed on the cyphers. She was separated from the others at this time, but managed to avoid persecution for the most part. Still, she was bitter about how she and the others never did anything wrong, but were blamed and killed for what happened.
One day, she saved a young boy by accident with her powers, then the boy’s family, then finally helped the entire village. And in doing so, she was surprised to see them cheer for her instead of reject her, making her vow to change herself, and by extension how cyphers are viewed. Eventually, she met two people working to trap monsters effected by the disaster, where she was taken in by the tribe that was overseeing the area where all the trapped monsters are.
The day where she had the dream was the day when the adventurers recruited by Aganzo finally destroyed the Black Nightmare once and for all, allowing them all to celebrate and rest easy. She went to bed early since she was feeling tired after everything that happened, and…
Extra: Like sweets. A lot. Also will resort to telepathy when she can’t talk verbally to someone.
Name: Qaksh
Gender: Male
Universe: Dragon Cave
Species: Magi Dragon
Alignment: Lawful Good
Appearance: Qaksh is smaller and more stocky than most Magi dragons, and his scales are closer to a reddish-orange. He wears some brown leather satchels at the base of his neck to carry his magic materials.
Personality: Nervous and uncertain. He likes to mull his decisions over at length, meaning that by the time he decides, the opportunity may have passed already. He is gullible to an extent and often goes much out of his way to help people, but he is also very strict about following rules.
History: Qak is an apprentice of an alchemist living in the Volcano territory where he was hatched. Said alchemist specializes in the utility and application of raw mana crystals and was a strict master, though not unloving. Qaksh had seen her bad side more often or not just because of his clumsiness. He has now been sent out on a journey to collect materials (although he suspects it's just because his master needs a break from him). He has a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but at least he was sent with some friends (read: bodyguards), Myrdon the Lumina and Galho the Royal Crimson.
Extra: Qak has a collection of spells, though he only knows basic elemental ones. He specializes in utility spells such as creating light, locking doors, and mending objects, and knows quite a few things about herbs and mana.
Name: Lolek
   Gender: Male
   Universe: Original Character. However, his main ability (Speed Evolution) is based off of the League of Legend's Champion Kha'Zix's ability to eat things and evolve (upgrade) real-time. Probably doesn't count, but I thought I would share. xd.png As for the universe I created for him, he's from another galaxy's take on a World of Dreams called the Abyss (so he's technically an alien and a supernatural being).
   Species: Lentoaekel. These creatures originate from the Abyss, a strange world of dreams. Being native there they don't have mortal bodies the way actual mortals do, but their creator can occasionally gift them mortal forms so that they can experience things outside of the Abyss, such as fear, anxiety, and euphoria. These creatures are born from strange, fleshy purple trees that bear large translucent fruit filled with green slime. When these egg sacs (fruit) break, small, serpentine creatures are born, almost entirely limbless and yet capable in evolving in widely various forms. They need to consume mortal substances in order to evolve and sprout more limbs and other features; in the Abyss they have no need to eat or evolve, and nothing there can help them do such things. As such, Lentoaekel only become mortal as a learning experience.
   Lentoaekel can evolve only according to their genetic makeup, so some individuals will never have certain features, such as poisonous barbs or wings. They also require large amounts of the respective sustenance in order to form a new feature, and the more features they have, the more they need to consume. For example, a newborn Lentoaekel could sprout insect wings, but only if it eats lots of insect wings or other fleshy objects so that it has the protein to form them. A much older, more evolved Lentoaekel could also develop insect wings in the same manner, but the amount of flesh it has to consume is gargantuan compared to the amount needed by the newborn; and that's even if its genetic makeup allows for the creation of insect wings. The genetic makeup "blacklist" is based upon what features the creature already has; for example, if it's too heavy due to other features, it won't be able to develop wings, and if it has a stiff tail, it won't be able to make it prehensile. Features are permanent once they are evolved and a Lentoaekel cannot "devolve" in order to try out new features. Similarly, the Lentoaekel cannot change the colors it is born with, but may seem to gain new colors based upon what features it has (so if a Lentoaekel doesn't have fins, but develops them, the fins may be a different color from the rest of the body even though they never changed color in the first place. It's like a coloration preset that each creature is born with). As a final note, it takes several days for a Lentoaekel to form its new limbs, and once they sprout it takes several more days for the limbs to become fully usable; so while they can "speed grow" things, it's not instantaneous.
   Alignment: Neutral Neutral (when starting out); I'm not sure what else to give him since he starts out so young.
   Appearance: Lolek starts out as a lindwurm-like creature. (Excuse my botched coloring job. xd.png) He has compound eyes, a small headfrill, and insectoid jaws with a long tongue. His tail starts out prehensile, and the tongue has a ball tip that allows it to act like a snake's tongue; so Lolek has no nostrils, but can still "smell" or "taste" things in the air with his tongue. He will have only a large chest and two sets of arms to start, with the top set having two long claws similar to pincers each and the bottom set only one claw each. He moves by crawling along like a snake with help from his arms. I plan on Lolek's mostly-evolved form looking like this, where he gains legs, larger claws, and even a hooked tail tip.
   Personality: Being so young, Lolek doesn't have much of a developed personality, though he's widely inquisitive and curious. He has yet to learn about a lot of things, and doesn't really have a set of morals or principles to follow. Due to this he bases most of his first-time decisions off of feelings rather than anything he actually knows. Because of his ability to evolve he does have a tendency to try and eat things, regardless of whether or not they're organic or inanimate material.
   History: As a youngster in the Abyss Lolek didn't have much to do, so he doesn't have much of a history. Nothing in the Abyss is appetizing to a Lentoaekel, so he never ate or evolved anything, and being so small with no predators all he ever did was explore, because all he wanted to do was learn. He spent much of his time exploring and discovering new things, until he began to discover only more of the same thing, in which case he switched to learning more about the things he already knew existed. It was during this time that he met his creator, who was talking to Eternal Shadow. Lolek didn't know either of them, so he willingly went up to them in curiosity. He knew that they were discussing something, but the two deities didn't use body language, noise, or lights; the only three things Lolek recognized as communication. Yet he could somehow feel the passage of information between the two. So he was completely clueless that his creator had agreed to lend Eternal Shadow one of her creations, to be given a mortal form to fight the Corrupteons in an attempt to save her multiverse. And Lolek happened to be Eternal Shadow's choice fighter. All the Lentoaekel remembered after that was being picked up by her and everything becoming vague and surreal, before he woke up in a strange, new place filled with the sounds of battle.
   Extra: Fun fact: Both his name and his species name I created using a language I made up a long time ago (gosh, that document is old); both names mean "Form", with "Lentoaekel" being an older version of the word.
Name: Elphaba Thropp
Gender: Female
Universe: Wicked (The Musical)
Species: Human (I think)
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Appearance: [X]
Personality: Elphaba was looked down upon as a child and forced to care for her crippled younger sister, so she learned to fight adversity with sarcasm and keep everyone out. She is smart, independent, and very outspoken, which causes her to get into trouble sometimes and accounts for some of the misunderstandings people have about her. Due to her skin, she is aware that she is more prone to rumors and harassment than others. She has a desire to be loved and accepted. On that note, she was devoted to many things: her sister, helping the Animals and very passionate in her fight against the Wizard. The path to her becoming the Wicked Witch of the West was very psychological. She presumed her lover was dead, after he had saved her, and out of spite became a Witch. She finds it hard to forgive, but after time it's possible for her to renew her bonds. Elphaba is misunderstood, smart, fiery, passionate, and out-spoken.
History: Look for 'In the Musical'.
Extra:
Name: Kyle Ossler
Gender: Male
Universe: Fandomless
Species: Human
Alignment: Neutral
Appearance: [X]
Personality: Kyle likes to be social, talk about band and the dank memes. He enjoys joking around and chilling out with his friendos, especially his squad in marching band. He's rather passionate about what he likes, and once he starts talking about a subject he's into, there's little chance in stopping him. He's a nerd and likes video games, and he's relatively sharp-minded. Kyle is a fun-spirited chap and rather easygoing and chill most of the time.
History: Kyle lived his life in a large suburban town in central New Jersey. His father was often busy at work, so most times it would just be him, his mother and his brother. He always had an interest in music, especially '50s music and rather unknown guitar players. In fourth grade he started playing the trombone. Kyle loved to watch the marching band preform, especially. He would beg his mom to go to the football games just to see the marching band perform at the halftime show, and worked super hard to sound the best that he could. He was able to join in eighth grade and so he did, and had a lit time with his squad, even after the season ended.
Extra: I'm really, really sorry that there isn't much to his personality. I haven't gotten a chance to really flesh him out yet.  unsure.gif
Alignment: Well, she wants Valkemare to go back to normal. So, neutral good, I guess.
Appearance: Pretty much like any normal Whiptail; she has green eyes and a few small marks around her belly, the same light blue as her back markings.
Personality: --How detailed does this have to be? I have a tendency to figure out who my characters are as I go. At most I start with a general idea.-- Protective, scared but determined to get Valkemare back. Not really a fighter; little pain tolerance. Used to hunting, though, so battle skills should be... there.
History: She's a wild dragon, and has many children. Several have been stolen by humans, but most have grown up and are living their own lives. Her latest clutch was of three, and will hatch in several days. She's desperate to have the world-saving wrapped up so she can be back to care for them when they hatch.
Extra: She lived in the Forest. In case that matters.
NPCs
Name: The Lorekeeper (real name Prismarin Eon, but name is not used)
Species: Human (transformed Umbreon)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: About 5’ 4” tall. She has Japanese features and skin tone. Hair is black with blue streaks. Eyes are amber in colour. Wears a black tunic and dark blue leggings with black gauntlets and leather boots.
History: Aeons ago, the Lorekeeper was an ordinary Umbreon eking out life on a dying land until Eternal Shadow awoke from her sleep. She then cast a spell on Lorekeeper so she could not speak clearly of what she saw except to warn others against repeating past mistakes. Now, as the primal evil awakes, she searches for the mortals fated to battle Shadow herself.
Extra: Cannot clearly speak of the past unless issuing a warning. She remembers emotions from her visions, but not people until she sees them again. She is ageless but can be killed.
Since you need more people in this RP, it's totally fine by me if you rather I'd not be in the Dark Legion. It seems that you wouldn't be able to get this going without more 'good' people.
This roleplay seems really interesting! I'm excited for when this starts!
Plus, can you have more than one character in this RP?
Acceepted, and yesvyou can. Don't eorry, I needed at least one player-run Dark Legion character. Also, Dark Legion charcters will have a different intro than the dream, I'll be putting ???'s PoV of it into the first RP post.
I'm RottingWyvern, and I'm here to rise up and burn like a star!
Name: ...Steps?
Gender: Genderless; They/them
Universe: Journey (PS3)
Species: Rythulian, First Tier Red Cloak Traveler
Alignment: True Neutral
Appearance: user posted image
Personality: Steps is kind of stubborn, but is also very dependent on others. They are always checking on a companions emotional state and are always trying to make sure they are okay. While this helped quite a lot in their world, with a constant need to be relied upon and relying on others, it may not work out so well in Valkemare. Steps does think a little differently than others; because they are completely made out of fabric, they do not understand flesh and blood bodies and will have trouble understanding how they work. This also means that they are not afraid of getting hurt, and this may cause problems with others if Steps does something that will not put Steps in danger, but will harm an organic being. Steps also has little idea of personal space and shows affection by headbutting and leaning heavily on those they like. They are highly energetic, running around and chirping almost constantly. They understand being quiet, but only do so when the situation looks incredibly serious, aka, when it looks like something dangerous is around. They don't understand the common language that most beings speak, but Steps can pick up on emotions rather well and tries hard to make everyone happy, even at the expense of their body.
History: Like all the other travelers, they woke up in the desert and was making their way to the mountain. They have met up with multiple companions over time, but usually ended up parting ways later on. Their journey ended in the Underground Ruins, consumed by a Guardian when they tried to protect another traveler. After that, they were brought into the dream that Shadow created.
Extra:
- Communicates with chimes and chirps. Can't "talk".
- Steps would normally be Neutral Good, but the being made of fabric deal has them know nothing about organic creatures and they may get someone hurt because of that.
- Steps's scarf is not that long, very short actually, and is completely empty of energy. Valkemare probably doesn't have energy similar to Steps's life force, so it's very probable that Steps will not be able to fly again.
- Steps is a first tier traveler, meaning that they were only on their first journey to the mountain. The symbols on Steps's cloak signify this by being very basic.
- Steps's cloak feels harsh and rough, mostly by weathering of sand and sun, almost like sandpaper. It's flexible and does not restrict Steps in the slightest, since it is literally a part of them.
- Injury to Steps's body does not actually damage them. It's kind of complicated, but the only pain they can ever feel is from damage to their scarf. A tear does not hurt them, even if it is on their main body, but on Steps's scarf it would be quite painful.
- When Steps chirps, they make a symbol appear. It disappears quickly, but the louder Steps calls, the longer is stays around. The symbol is on the last one on the second row, the one that has two arches and two stairs. Steps can make other symbols appear, but this one is a personal marking, a name on their world. user posted image
Hey again~ I'm.... [beiningtian] Pyro, and here to rise up and burn like a star!
Name: Michelle Monohan
Gender: Female
Universe: Arad. We think.
Species: Cypher… Basically normal person with superpowers.
Alignment: …Uhhhh….. I don’t know. Neutral Good?
Appearance: Link
Personality: Michelle is rather timid and shy, so when first meeting someone she would usually stutter or trail off with what she’s saying, if she approaches at all. Has a tendency to turn invisible if you startle her, especially if from behind. She’s a kind person once her guard is a bit lowered, and whatever happens she never wants to put others in danger unless absolutely necessary. She really enjoys helping others, even at the expense of her own safety and can be a bit too serious at times, though she would never turn down a reason to smile. She still tends to be shaky about things that reminds her of her past, even though she claims she’s gotten over it all now.
~ Her main ability is the ability to manipulate and sense “waves,” typically by way of telekinesis. This lets her gauge the energy of certain things and project her powers if she knows where to do so, as well as sense memories from objects and people*.
*She has to be pretty specific in what she’s looking for, however, and there is a high chance she can’t find what she is if only given a few things. Not only that, she can’t really get more than a few feeling and such to confirm her suspicions.
~Can turn things invisible for a short amount of time, usually less than 10 seconds.
~Said telekinesis usually has her hurling objects around her at someone ((she doesn’t usually throw the kitchen sink, don’t worry))
~Can create a large burst of energy a good ways around her that HURTS. However, this takes too much out of her to do without drawing energy from something else source.
~Otherwise shoots smaller “bullets” of that energy.
~Can teleport for short distances. Doing so too many times in a row tends to drain her.
~Anything related to her abilities usually have a lime green glow. Invisibility not included.
History: Ever since she was small, she was despised for being a cypher, and even left abandoned by her own parents. She eventually found some other cyphers to live and travel with, but they were rebuffed no matter where they went. Eventually, a group of… Raiders, shall we call them… Looking to take control recruited them and used them to control a city by force before some adventurers came and defeated her and the other cyphers. What Michelle couldn’t understand was why the adventurers had let them live.
Sometime later, a colossal disaster happened in Arad, much of which was blamed on the cyphers. She was separated from the others at this time, but managed to avoid persecution for the most part. Still, she was bitter about how she and the others never did anything wrong, but were blamed and killed for what happened.
One day, she saved a young boy by accident with her powers, then the boy’s family, then finally helped the entire village. And in doing so, she was surprised to see them cheer for her instead of reject her, making her vow to change herself, and by extension how cyphers are viewed. Eventually, she met two people working to trap monsters effected by the disaster, where she was taken in by the tribe that was overseeing the area where all the trapped monsters are.
The day where she had the dream was the day when the adventurers recruited by Aganzo finally destroyed the Black Nightmare once and for all, allowing them all to celebrate and rest easy. She went to bed early since she was feeling tired after everything that happened, and…
Extra: Like sweets. A lot. Also will resort to telepathy when she can’t talk verbally to someone.
Speaking of abilities, shouldn’t there be a little place to list them? I mean, they don’t really seem to belong in the “personality” section and in a RP like this, calling them an extra seems... Odd.
Also you'd think this would be more popular. Multiverses usually are.
((Time to get this party started. Until posts begin to occur in the real world for PC heroes, your intro will still be the dream sequence if you submit a form now. I may put quotes relating to the story in the post before the RPing begins. Without further ado...
Edit: Accepted, beningtian. Yeah, I have no idea why it's not so popular.))
*Eternal Shadow*
Hope. Hope was dead. She had seen it. Seen her children, seen the the evil they had freed. This world... must die. But the mortals. They could be so determined. She would give them one chance. Howling, she summoned mortal souls to the last vestiges of the Multiverse. Then she appeared.
*Voltalia*
Darn, it was chilly. And dark out. There was this weird dark light, though. Voltalia gazed around, noting a crowd was there. Her senses tingled, and she spun around. Atop a stone plateau, a creature changing form stood. What, by the Grox, is THAT?! Why is it changing shape?! How would I battle it? It radiates some sort of... power...
Welcome.... to my land. Your world... has outlived its light. My children, darkened by the aeons, and by those who have done them wrong, have awakened a powerful evil. An evil, born of the Multiverse’s evil.
The voice that spoke echoed like it was thousands of voices speaking together. Once Voltalia had spoken like that as a sergeant, though with three voices in unison instead of thousands. The Volt glanced up.
You mortals are resourceful. Such a pity your world will end. But it must end.
The speaker... oh Spode. It was the creture from before, constantly shifting forms thing and all. Voltalia noticed the glowing white eyes. Nether and Aether! That thing, what is it that it speaks like that? Why... how... can it change shape like that?!
Your world is lost to the cruel aeons. Cruel aeons that have done it wrong before.
Aeons before Valkemare, there was a Multiverse. These dark remnants are all that is left of that once-glorious Multiverse.
WHAT?!
Valkemare must end. It seems glorious, but it will end. I shall bring a new world. A new world, where I am the only God. Where your memories never were.
But yet you mortals are determined. Determined to live. To let your world live. I who allowed your creation... respect this. You have... a chance to save your world. Do not squander it.
If you wish to let your world see another aeon, you must kill the Everlasting of old. They, who are my children, they have been corrupted. They must be replaced. The evils that have escaped must be destroyed. Or sealed for all time. If you fail, your world dies, to be replaced.
I... am the True, Eternal Shadow. The world ends with... you.
Voltalia attempted to shout, but the world fractured around her.
*Eternal Slumber*
Eternal Slumber jolted awake. He felt prescences. And this world was so dark, so broken. What was that dark glow? He had never seen anything like it. Then he spotted some creatures and a few dragons nearby. He stifled a yelp and scuttled back, only to hit spikes. Attached to something.
"Whatcha mean, huh?!" The thing turned around. It was some sort of dragon... turtle... THING. Eternal defaulted to running away.
As he neared the edge if the group, an echoing voice made him jump and scuttle backwards once again.
Welcome.... to my land. Your world... has outlived its light. My children, darkened by the aeons, and by those who have done them wrong, have awakened a powerful evil. An evil, born of the Multiverse’s evil.
You mortals are resourceful. Such a pity your world will end. But it must end.
Eternal Slumber wondered what she meant by the world ending. Maybe he could finally escape all the torture. He looked up, and saw the speaker for the first time. It was a fox...fox dog...dragon...okay, it was shifting into various things shadowy things. All of them had strange white glowing eyes that left energy trails.
Your world is lost to the cruel aeons. Cruel aeons that have done it wrong before.
What does it mean...? Ether trembled slightly, frightened of the creature. It seemed powerful.
Aeons before Valkemare, there was a Multiverse. These dark remnants are all that is left of that once-glorious Multiverse.
Valkemare must end. It seems glorious, but it will end. I shall bring a new world. A new world, where I am the only God. Where your memories never were.
But yet you mortals are determined. Determined to live. To let your world live. I who allowed your creation... respect this. You have... a chance to save your world. Do not squander it.
If you wish to let your world see another aeon, you must kill the Everlasting of old. They, who are my children, they have been corrupted. They must be replaced. The evils that have escaped must be destroyed. Or sealed for all time. If you fail, your world dies, to be replaced.
I... am the True, Eternal Shadow. The world ends with... you.
W-what... in the name of.... ah... it... no rest... just be destroyed forever... it... it... is so powerful.... The Soulpeace thought. His thoughts pieced themselves together. Then a blinding light shone...
(Some time later)
*???*
The embodiment of all evil howled. It echoed through the dark room with computers casting a faint yellowish glow from their screens.
"Dark Legion... this meeting begins!" It brought a black paw down hard, its mane whipping around in Aetherial winds. The sound of paw striking metal bounced off the straight metl walls. Orange glows of energy illuminated the dim, foreboding room, though the dark walls seemed to suck in most of the light. Everything was clean and precise in shape, but stained with blood, darkness, and evil energy.
"This is the night we have awaited for AEONS! Eternal Shadow has returned. She has foolishly set mortals to battle the Everlsting... and us."
The Dark Legion shouted, the collective shout echoing theough the underground base. Commanders raised guns, spears, swords, staffs, and ethereal tails. Grunts snapped and snarled, waving their weapons.
"Battle the Everlasting," it continued, voice echoing with a thousand others. "She set her mark on the mortals... and by it we can track them! You shall kill them, and kill the Everlasting! For remember, we, the forces of darkness, are far more eternal than any can imagine! We were born from evil! Shadow... will not have her world. We shall kill her. We shall rule! Now, go forth! Go forth, my Dark Legion, and destroy hope, destroy all!"
It was dark. Dark and misty and grey and foreboding.
Steps stumbled to their feet, suddenly feeling overwhelmed. Where were they? What was this place? They spun around in a circle, more feeling than seeing the crowd of dark figures around them. Ahead there was a plateau, a large being shifting and changing standing atop it, face fading and reforming into different shapes and bodies. The traveler gave it a glance as it spun around again, confused and disoriented.
Welcome.... to my land. Your world... has outlived its light. My children, darkened by the aeons, and by those who have done them wrong, have awakened a powerful evil. An evil, born of the Multiverse’s evil.
You mortals are resourceful. Such a pity your world will end. But it must end.
I... am the True, Eternal Shadow. The world ends with... you.
They didn't understand. Some of the words bled through, taking form in their language and giving Steps an idea, but it wasn't making much sense. What was a multiverse? A Valkemare? What did aeons mean, or even mortal? What was a god, or a memory? What was an evil? Or an Everlasting? They didn't know these words.
Steps gave a small chirp in distress, spinning around and not understanding who was speaking or what was happening. It was too dark, too many things happening at once, and they didn't understand how they got here.
Where was the Mountain?
They made another chirp, bewildered as the world fell away into light and shards.
((Eh, just make a note for others to put abilities and stuff in the rules or something, I guess.
Also maybe you should have done an interest check in freeforms.
*superlong intro post*
...You don't have to read all of it. >///<))
"... I mean, just imagine! I was laying there, with barely enough energy to raise my head and this angry king pointing icicles of death at me. I close my eyes, sure that I won't ever open them again, when suddenly I hear a familiar call out of absolutely nowhere, and when I look I see a giant... Meteor made out of ice crashing towards the head of the spirit king!"
The mood in the air was jovial—after all, everything was finally winding down with the black nightmare, and the only thing that needed was the dream gate to close completely. Most were heartily joining in the feast, even Aganzo. And the stories everyone was starting to share were amazing, from seeing a dragon rip off the side of a dungeon to help them to simply the bewildering exploits they seen or done. Michelle yawned and rubbed her eyes. The past weeks have taken a lot out of her, and knowing that tonight she would be able to sleep without worry lifted a great weight off her chest. She excused herself from the group and left the tent, relishing the view of the stars, as if even the weather seemed to celebrate their success, even if there were more mysteries to be solved. As she walked to her tent, she closed her eyes, listening to the snorts made by the yaks, the crunch of snow under her shoes, and the faint sound of the party still going on.
It felt as if she only needed to rest her head before she fell asleep.
The waves here all felt wrong. Michelle blinked awake... No, her eyes were already open, and she was standing. There were others around her, many confused, all of who she didn't recognize or ever could have imagined. She lowered her head, tried to make herself just another face in the crowd from habit, but with all manner of things here, would she stand out even more? She took a deep breath to try and relax, maybe look around a bit. She couldn't be seen as odd for doing that, many others were doing the same. The land was desolate, dead, with nary even a star in the sky. All shreds of her fatigue was gone... And the last thing she remembered was falling asleep. A dream, then? But what kind of dream was this? This didn't feel the slightest bit like a dream. She clenched her fist and felt her nails digging into her skin.
Welcome.... to my land.
Michelle jumped as the voice reverberated through the area. Was this a trap by the other her, from the other dimension? There were no others that could use telepathy like her... But no, the voice, the waves from the voice, were different.
Your world... has outlived its light.
Michelle looked up at a plateau she was sure wasn't there a moment ago, to see a strange monster, constantly changing shape but always ethereal in appearance.. Except its eyes. Its eyes were.... Made... Of hard white light. But it was what it said the most important.
Arad... Has outlived its light...? Was that what the words meant? Was this in some relation to the black nightmare, something to do with the words that were put into her mind? So if Arad outlived its light, darkness would have to be transmuted into light for the purposes of... No, that doesn't make sense. Light and darkness both were given to whoever the "he" is—her train of thought was cut off as the thing spoke again.
My children, darkened by the aeons, and by those who have done them wrong, have awakened a powerful evil. An evil, born of the Multiverse’s evil.
Michelle stared at the entity. What was it talking about? Its children... Was it talking about the apostles? But awakening an evil greater than the apostles themselves—Michelle took an involuntary step back—how could that be? And a multiverse—was it referring to the dimension that the Black Nightmare was trying to rein into Arad? Or were there more than just one?
You mortals are resourceful. Such a pity your world will end. But it must end.
Your world is lost to the cruel aeons. Cruel aeons that have done it wrong before.
She shook her head, hands tightening into fists as she looked at the thing. It wanted to destroy Arad? Enough things are trying to every day, but... But this thing.... She can feel it. It actually has the power to do so. Completely. Michelle swallowed. Would she have to take this thing out? For Arad? Michelle looked around at the assembled crowd, then to the thing. Would they help her if she did? Would they turn against her if she did?
Aeons before Valkemare, there was a Multiverse. These dark remnants are all that is left of that once-glorious Multiverse.
Valkemare....? Michelle mouthed the word, then tried using whatever knowledge she had of the Bantu tongue to test that out. What was Valkemare? Out of habit, she started to levitate a pebble to help her think before she remembered where she was. Not that she was sure... Was there a GBL member in the crowd, preferably one she knew? And there was that word again. Multiverse.
But she seems to have an answer to where. This place was that Multiverse, once upon a time. So it wasn't a dream?
Valkemare must end. It seems glorious, but it will end. I shall bring a new world. A new world, where I am the only God. Where your memories never were.
Michelle could only stare. How? What kind of thing was that? And... To let her memories be reset? Would that be better or worst? Michelle lowered her head as the entity spoke on.
But yet you mortals are determined. Determined to live. To let your world live. I who allowed your creation... respect this. You have... a chance to save your world. Do not squander it.
To save Arad.... Michelle took a breath. Of course. If she could do that... It seems so daunting, but something like that, done by a cypher like herself, would make it well known that they were to be trusted, not feared and belittled. This wasn't an opportunity she can pass up.
If you wish to let your world see another aeon, you must kill the Everlasting of old. They, who are my children, they have been corrupted. They must be replaced. The evils that have escaped must be destroyed. Or sealed for all time. If you fail, your world dies, to be replaced.
I... am the True, Eternal Shadow. The world ends with... you.
Michelle's eyes widened as the world cracked in an eerily familiar fashion. And everything faded into white.
((I promise very little else related to the game where she's from will be brought up after the intro scene(s?). But it is reasonable for a character to automatically assume something is related to their universe instead of the multiverse, right?))
((Yes. Yes it is normal to think of your universe. Voltalia will be very confused. Only going to put Voltalia PoV in this post. Also, the other stuff with multiverses I saw were popular, especially if you could be any creature from fiction... By the way, Voltalia's univetse is high tech with no magic, as I did not make that clear.))
Voltalia awoke. And noticed something was wrong. Very, very wrong. Where was all the technology? Where were the spaceships? The tanks? The vehicles? The airplanes? This place is not windy. Not dry. It's not Spathe!
She turned, hearing comments and chatter in a language she faintly understood. It sounded like... wait. They had never seen anything like her? Odd. Very odd. The whole galaxy knew of the Volt Empire!
The buildings were primitive. The local humans wore robes she had only seen in human history books. There was a... wrongness... to this place. Energy that did not feel like energy.
She turned, striding down a street. She knew how primitive creatures tended to react to strange things. As she walked, she saw more humans, and a few reptilian creatures. Apparently the local word was 'dragon'. Odd word. What the heck WAS this place?!
Wherever she was... that was still a weird dream. And it felt so real. She remembered seeing other... dragons... in her dream. And odd creatures, too. This was.. gah. She was a stranger, a stranger in a strange land.
Steps sat up, alert and confused. They were...somewhere. Somewhere with lots of buildings, most of which were whole and not in a ruined state. These buildings didn't look familiar at all.
Steps slowly stood up, shifting their cloak from force of habit. Dust and sand usually built up on it fairly quickly, so Steps had gotten into the habit of shaking it out every once in awhile. There didn't seem to be any dust and sand here, at least in the quantities that Steps was used to.
They seemed to be right in-between two buildings, the shadows covering them up but the sky looking bright and clear. Steps could hear a slight babble of noise ahead, sounds they did not recognize. The traveler couldn't see the sun from where they were at, which was concerning. If they couldn't see the sun, how could they find the Mountain?
After a moment of contemplation, mostly of thinking over the voice that they had heard in that foggy world, Steps straightened up and walked out into the sun, right into a crowd of bustling voices and sounds.
Not used to such excitement, and not recognizing anyone around them, Steps tried to back out back into the place they just had been in. By then, they had gotten turned around and the traveler couldn't figure out where they had been, and the crowd had gotten a little quiet. Twirling around, now given space as the beings around them stared at Steps in mild confusion, Steps let out a high pitched chirp, their symbol appearing over their head before they dashed to the left. Fortunately, people got out of their way and Steps stumbled out of the crowd, out on the edge of the small town. Some of the beings continued looking at the strange visitor, but many went back to their business. Their world was full of strange, even bizarre creatures, and a cloaked figure wasn't that weird.
Steps turned back to the village, this time keeping their gaze to the sky. There was the sun, but where...? Chiming quietly to themself, the traveler went in a circle, looking everywhere for the Mountain.
It wasn't there.
Steps was confused and alarmed. At anytime, no matter what, even when in the Underground, the traveler had always known that the Mountain was just ahead. Where they were now, they couldn't even feel its presence. The Mountain was gone.
The lost traveler went around in another slow circle, checking the sky once more. If the Mountain wasn't there anymore, then where were they to go?
Eternal Slumber stood. That had been an odd dream. He turned, hearing a soft noise. Footsteps pounded closer.
The pale Soulpeace ducked into a dark alley, watching the strange yellow quadruped walk past. It was muttering in some language he could not understand most of. He caught only the occasional word.
He pressed closer to the darkness, away from the light. Ironic that he should shun the light and life his breed was known for.
Eternal wondered what this creature could be doing. He hoped it wasn't with the dragon turtle from his dream. Or that weird shadow thing. He was not a fighter.
Still, eternal oblivion sounded good...
Claws clacked occasionally on flagstones as a pale Soulpeace scurried through the darkness, trailing the strange yellow creature. The Soulpeace was disturbed by his dream.
Michelle turned from the light as she slowly started to wake, raising a hand to both gesture at the person holding her tent open to leave and to close the tent flap. That is, until she realized that she was hearing birdsong. There were no birds where she lived. She opened her eyes wide, blinked several times, then sat up to rub them. She was under a tree in a forest of some kind, one that looked to be about as old as Grand Flores, but... How? She fell asleep, and....
She can recall that dream perfectly. Every little detail, from the plateau to the strange creature to the crowd to the dead land that wasn't quite there... And come to think of it, she's never seen trees like this before. It was so hot here, too, after she stayed so long in such a cold area.
Michelle rubbed her head, final wisps of sleep leaving her. As she did, something nagging her at the back of her head finally clicked. She looked around then tried her best to relax—maybe she was mistaken by how panicked she is from waking up in a strange place—and to feel the waves of the land...
...
...
Michelle looked down at the ground, then around her. She didn't even feel a trace of ambient mana around her, only faint whispers of it coming from the ground. Was there a place in Arad that only had mana in the ground? If so, she couldn't think of one, but here she was. Perhaps she wandered into... No. Unless she was both sleepwalking and there was nobody to stop her, she wouldn't have wandered into the nightmare. And even then, the wavelengths from the objects the adventurers brought out had traces of ambient magic.
Another idea came, but she frowned and dismissed it. How could she? She only fell asleep.
Standing up, she really looked around for the first time. A road lay off to the side, which made her start to retreat back into the woods in case anyone came. But the birds were singing merrily and she couldn't sense anything from the left... And from the right, there was a sense of things. A town?
((Oh boy. Playing a telekinetic is going to be interesting.))
Voltalia sniffed rhe air, drawing the scents around her in. There was a medieval town smell and the odour of unwashed human. Not too surprising. There was also an ashy scent, a watery scent (odd), and various plant scents (slightly interesting), among other scents that seemd to come from the "dragons". She stepped over a dirt path rough with rocks.
Her warrior training put her on alert when she heard claws clacking. She whirled, but couldn't see anything. The Volt was sure she was not imagning it. Whatever it was, it was probably good at avoiding detection.
She was sure of it. This energy to the area was not right. And with no technology in sight, there was a good chance she'd have a hard time replacing damaged parts.
The crowd was chattering. Voltalia perked up her ears. Some of the talk was turning hostile, and that was when Voltali decided to spring out her plasma claws. They wanted a fight? She was ready for a fight.
A strange reddish light came from one human's hands and struck her. She screamed as a burning sensation spread across her collarbone and began to melt her chestplate before suddenly ending. The Volt turned and fled, not liking this turn of events. She might be more sucessful at long range... forget it. She would observe thia power and figure out how she could combat it. Yes, that was what she would do...
She failed to notice the pale Soulpeace slipping from shadow to shadow, away from the crowd.
((Voltalia does not know about magic, which is why she backed off. No Eternal in this post - I'll put him in my next post. Also in the next post of mine, Voltalia meets the Dark Legion. Voltalia being a canine is why I had her sniff the air to check her surroundings. As for the medieval familiarity, her universe has varying technological levels on different planets and she has done missions around the galaxy, so I'd think she's been in medieval settings. She was confused on her awakening, if you're curious why she acted the way she did.))
