Posted April 17, 2010 Alyssum, if you have a mac go to your utilities and there will be a app called grapher.it's a 2d / 3d shape maker.Z key makes it have lines going across.X key goes up and down.Y key does the same thing as X but other side.R key makes a sphere.Ex.r=2,z=0,x=5,r=3 or x=2.also mix two letter together to make different things.Ex.rz=3,zx=8 xx=1 rxz=5.last put the - sign to make it go the other side.Ex.x=-4,zx=-1,rr=-8 p.s. put R=(theta) (my keyboard doesn't have the sign.its a zero with a line through it.) wow i wrote a lot (two words, not one)! Can you animate the shapes afterward? Either way, sounds cool. I'm fairly tech savvy, but all self learned, which has it's disadvantages. Like, I probably know how to do the most with a computer in my house, and I'm always fixing problems with my parents and teachers computers, but I know very few official terms or anything like that. I'll just be like, "okay, I'll go to that location, and click that one thing, and do all that stuff, and it'll be fixed." And then it's fixed. Share this post Link to post

Posted April 17, 2010 Lol I would never be able to do that. I like gaming and stuff, but math? That's why I fail at making mods for games. ._. Share this post Link to post

Posted April 17, 2010 Well I *am* into techiness. Taught myself to programm in VB and I'm in the middle of learning C++. That said I'm also very aspie, and I can't actualy read most of your posts because they have nothing to break the words up. I need capitals and punctuation in long blocks of text if I'm going to hope to understand you. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2010 Sorry.I have also learned some programming in C and Python. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2010 IT-technician... Not too willing to do far-range teaching, though. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2010 Sorry.I have also learned some programming in C and Python. D'you self build your computers? That's what got me started on it. Went from building them to wondering how they work, to trying to programme them. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2010 Wow.I would love to make my own computer but, sadly no. First I found the Notepad system on Windows Xp. I made pop-ups from Notepad,a few basic games like I ask i Question and you give your say. Then I got a mac and found Applescript.I didn't do as much on Applescript than Notepad. Then I got a few programming books from the library.I read some of the books. Then had to return them and now I'm waiting to get them back to finish. P.S. I'm not even in High School yet.So I'm pretty far a head than most. Share this post Link to post

O_o What the flagnog I hardly understand that, but I've got a PC anyhow. I like using Google Sketchup though! It's nice.. And a lot less complicated than that sounds. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 17, 2010 O_o What the flagnog I hardly understand that, but I've got a PC anyhow. I like using Google Sketchup though! It's nice.. And a lot less complicated than that sounds. It's pretty simple - it's just Geometry. It's not as scary as it looks. I'd consider myself a bonafide techie. I don't program, but I know how to work with what I've got, and I'm good at fixing problems that people have. I'm pretty good with hardware too. I just haven't taken the time to learn to program. I'm running Ubuntu at the moment. I got sick of Windows, and I think Macs are such ripoffs. I do the best I can to give back to the community, although that usually consists of bug reports for wine since I use a fair number of Windows programs. The thing is that it's fairly easy to find Ubuntu equivalents of Windows programs. The only exceptions I can think of are Steam (and any games) and Exact Audio Copy. Share this post Link to post
