(fire dragon.... sunstone? SPITFIRE)

“No it wont.” Sayiri's eyes were not well in the light that much. a dragon cant glow that much! she thought, trudging closer. She collapsed from the light. Sayiri looked like a flat red spot on the ground. Like blood.

Seeing the dragon fall to the ground he stammered over to her making sure not to look directly at the light and pushed her behind a bush to recuperate. With that done he slowly worked his eye towards the light making sure not to overload his sensory nerves. As with all dragons they can be quite sensitive. As he peered on he thought of what had just happened with Arilou. He felt the fire in his chest start to rage as if it were going to consume him. However he dare not open his mouth for fear of what might come out. This was not the worst pain he had felt but through his silence it was painfully obvious he was hurting.

He picked up Sayiri and pressed his muzzle to hers. "Sayiri, get up. It's alright darling. You can't be a burden to us. You might be able to help us." He heaved them all onto his back again.

Arilou gasped and then looked away. She knew what came next. The Fog.

They were all pulled down into the deepest mist and it was hard to breathe.

Sayiri shook her head. She staggered to get up. It was better that there was mist. Sayiri was fine now. Her tiny body didn't need much air, so it wasn't that much of a deal. Sayiri jumped of his back. "I'm fine. Are you ok in this mist?" she asked him. She didn't want anything to happen to her mate.

((I have Sayiri on my scroll biggrin.gif))

As the mist settled in and touch the lava hot body of the young dragon, it started to steam creating a torrential current of air upward. “and how would I be of help to you?” he asked.

He growled and struggled to make his way through the fog. "Sayiri, I'm alright but we've all got to be quiet. I don't know quite yet but we have a long while to go." The light shone in the distance, twinkled, and faded from sight as more mist covered it.

Arilou coughed as the fog condensed into water droplets around her moist skin.

(aww girlfairy I see her! My dragon was the first one I ever stole. He's first on my scroll.)

Sayiri hung onto him. The light was faint through the mist, but she could still see it. “Is that a spitfire dragon or something!?” she asked him. Sayiri looked to see Arilou coughung. “You ok?” she asked the water dragon.

As the young dragon began to feel the water vapor touch his skin he noticed that it was forming water crystals on his wing tips. In fact now that he wasn't distracted by his stomach, that used to be on fire, he notice his wings felt even lighter than before.

He growled and fell into another coughing fit and swooped the othhers onto his back and flew through the thick fog in horror. Gasping and struggling to stay awake, he flew for hours and shushed everyone who tryed to speak.

Arilou curled up along the ridge of her brother's wing and started to nap. How long was it since they left? No, time doesn't exist here.

Seeing the full grown having trouble breathing, he climbed as far up his neck as he dared, secured his self, and began trying to cut the thick fog out from in front of him using his wings and fire.

"Stop flying!" Sayiri crawled onto his underside. She tried pulling him down, but her weight was no match for him. "LAND!" she said, looking down. She was fine with breathing, but a big dragon like him wouldn't be able to breathe that fast. Sayiri crawled over to him. She tried forcing his mouth open. That would help? Maybe.

He sucked in air in raspy breaths. He shushed Sayiri. He didn't want to lose her. He had made this journey before and he wouldn't let that happen again. The Fog continued on and on...

"Lets make camp here." Arilou whispered when they landed. There was a thick fog wall surronding a little dip in the ground. It was hard to see her once she was inside

Not recognizing his surroundings, the young dragon went into guarded mode. he sharpened his senses and darted off into the fog to hunt and set up a perimeter wary off all but the group of three behind him

He sat awake while his sister slept and kept guard through the fog. Loud roar echoed in his ears as if it was a million dragons wailing in unison. Oh no. They know we're here.

Slightly later the young dragon returned from hunting. “It’s quite a thick forest out there. So who are the mystery dragons that I just heard?” he asked while tearing open the young doe he brought back with him. He offered half to the full grown and then tore the other piece into two pieces. He then climbed a nearby to gaze into the fog and listen.

(Its not a forest. Just a big thick fog. And no does or nothing sweet like that. Sorry.)

He sighed. "It's no mystery. Grey dragons. But not like any I've ever seen. I bet your getting hungry. There's no creatures here besides the dragons. Its eat or be eaten here. Wait up, alright. Arilou, keep them safe huh?" He tore through the fog until the roars grew closer and closer. He crept close to the ground and peered out the giant dragons curled up together in piles of bones. He noticed a small misty hatchling that strayed away from the rest. He stalked up to it silently. The dragons never noticed as he carried his fallen prey back to the ditch.

Arilou nodded. She stood guard while he left and tore of a hunk of meat from the dead hatchling when he returned. She dug in hungrily and wiped the blood of her mouth carefully. She didn't want the hellfire hatchling to think she was a slob. Blinking her eyelashes, she wrapped her serpintine tail around her.

(Sorry it was my misconception.) Realizing that there wasn’t much of anything here but the gray dragons, the young dragon walked a small distance to where he could barely see Arilou, burnt the ground until it was scorched and then laid down on his heated bed.

He tossed a piece of the meat over to the hellfire and to Sayiri.

"I'll take the first shift of the night." Arilou sighed and kept watch. Shifts after shifts went by until the morning came.

The hell fire said “Thank you, but I’d rather not eat this. I ate just before we came here, it’s only been half a day and I haven’t done much. Besides in a fight you’ll be more useful and there’s not a lot of meat there. So you can have my share.

He nodded and swallowed it down and napped while Arilou guarded.

Arilou sighed as she sat. She missed the water so much! Soon, she would have to reside there forever.

Not being that tired from riding on the back of the full grown he walked over to Arilou and asked, “So what’s the water like?”

Arilou chuckled. "Cool, relaxing, and beautiful as always." She sighed and waved her fin/ tail up in the air as she lay on her back.

“I wish I could remember before I was born while I was still in the egg. The elders used to laugh at me and make jokes about how I ended up there. The only thing I remember before I was a hatchling was that it was really cold yet I didn’t mind because somehow I was still warm. What do you remember about your time before you hatched?" he inquired.

Zalazak smiled. "Fire will be hurt by water," she said, a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She watched the droplets of water slide off his wings and hit the ground. While doing this she noticed how much bigger and stronger than her Souta looked. She looked down at herself. Her scales had a newborn shine, but she was scrawny and pitiful compared to the healthy hatchlings.

Souta lowered his wings as the water finished dripping off of them, leaving glistening lines down the membrane. He shook his wings out a bit to get the last of the water off before folding them back again. He listened to Zalazak's comment and bent his neck back in an S-shape, a light blush of embarassment tinting his scales.

"I guess thats true." He said. He then noticed how thin the other hatchling looked. She was even smaller than he was. Though he wasn't actually a small hatchling, he often felt small since Sassori was larger than him and she was often the only other dragon around him.

"You look hungry?" he said, which was a stupidly obvious assessment as most dragons living in this place were hungry. "Maybe if we look around we can find something for you to eat."
