yay inconsistent updates and my thing seems to be horizontal 3/4 portraits now

Hey guys, I have a question to ask. I see that everyone else is doing stuff in color and such, while I'm here with my simple uncolored and unshaded art. Should I try something a bit more complex or colored? I don't practice my color much anymore, but I can do some stuff with colored pencils or pixels if you'd like to see more of that.

 

I also am (or was, depending on the time you read this,) on vacation in a rather pretty place, so I have an opportunity to draw stuff from real life. If you'd like to see that, I'll pull out my paints and try to do something.

As for black and white vs color, color is nice but it's your thread so post whatever you want. People tend to lurk in the shadows when it comes to art threads anyway.

Ohhh shiet this is fantastic, I gave up pixel art a long time ago since I sucked at it, but damn.

 

I'm not sure who's usually active in these parts, but I would LOVE to see colored pieces from you! I checked out all the pieces in your first post, and I liked what I saw.

Anyhow, are you up to taking requests? :3 I have a hooman character which I'd love for you to try your hand at drawing (and maybe color and shade), but of course that's totally up to you

Thanks! I actually still have to correct that crown (the bottom is a bit off, whoops,) but I've been procrastinating ;^;

 

It'll probably be a while before I can work on something, since I have school and I have to catch up in some of my RPs, but I'll take requests. There's a bunch of animal requests in this thread that I've been neglecting, but I've been trying to practice humans so something like that should get finished relatively quickly. Give me the details, preferably with some reference pictures, and I'll see what I can whip up~

Maybe I should change the name of this thread to accommodate the pixel stuff I do occasionally. Anyways, here's another quick update of a pixel banner for a RP I'm in. The Espeon was pixeled off a sketch done by Sugar-Free~

Thank you! I was sorta lazy on the banner, but I decided to overcome it and give the banner some not-lazy shading. It looks so much better with added effort

Crit thread told me the lightest color I used to shade is too white because it is white so I might change that sometime, but if I do I won't post another update and I'll just change the image here. I also finally got around to fixing the crown, so here's that too. It could perhaps use a bit more contrast and keep the previous bottom shading, but that'll take more time if and when I decide to do it.

I have a test tomorrow, then finals, but once that's over I'll be able to draw a lot more! Not that I don't art when I'm supposed to be doing other stuff... but that's not the point! So, here's a little preview of what I might be doing more often in the future:

Anyway, I might not be able to do pixels like these in the summer, but I'll have access to a tablet. I really like making these small pixels though - I might even take requests for them. Keep checking the thread if you're interested! Hopefully I'll be better at completing these requests than normal art requests. ;^;

News!

I've decided to open up requests for small pixels, like the little Arme you see a few posts above. Requests for pixels, like all requests in this thread, are free! The only difference is that they have a greater chance of being completed. ;^;

 

No forms required, just casually tell me what you'd like pixelled and give me a few images/search terms. If you want to throw an egg at me, then I'll put more focus on your art and try to speedily churn it out! Otherwise, speeds may vary. Batteries not included.

I've seen your pixel work and absolutely adore it! Can you do a tinny silver Griffin? silver Griffin is my miraculous OC and I adore him! The art I posted is fan art of my character and his hair is silver with black streaks. here's my art wings are hard, so you don't have to do them, just his body.

I'll throw an egg at you too, two actually, repayment for my pretty banner!
