“Oh and would that light we saw earlier happen to be a royal blue dragon egg being shined on by something?” he asked.

Souta lowered his wings as the water finished dripping off of them, leaving glistening lines down the membrane. He shook his wings out a bit to get the last of the water off before folding them back again. He listened to Zalazak's comment and bent his neck back in an S-shape, a light blush of embarassment tinting his scales.

"I guess thats true." He said. He then noticed how thin the other hatchling looked. She was even smaller than he was. Though he wasn't actually a small hatchling, he often felt small since Sassori was larger than him and she was often the only other dragon around him.

"Are you hungry?" he asked Zalazak, which was probably a stupid question as most dragons living in this place were hungry. "My sister and I know a few places where we might find some food around here."

(Ok first, most roleplayers are supposed to create the plot, NOT the surrondings. The Elders are the only ones who know where the food is. And, if you snoop and find it, my characters have to punish. Thanks..)

Arilou sighed. "I remember the click clacking of dragon scales and claws against the shell to try to taunt me out. It was so cool from the water that seeped in. But, that's it."

(Nope, try again. Remember the prize is a stripe egg! The first hint is already posted. Look back!)

“More than I remember.” Replied the young dragon longingly. “So does your brother have a name?” “And if he’s fire how are you a water dragon?”

He wasn’t sure what he was feeling, but ever since he was born his blood boiled with anxiety and fear. Somehow this young dragon (Arilou) brought a sense of peace to his body. He knew he shouldn’t let his guard down especially out here but this was the first time in his life he felt like he was in no immediate danger. He allowed his heart to calm down his scales to smooth over. His body relaxed as he melted to the ground and he became quite complacent. His eyes stopped darting from this figure to that. He started to play around with ideas in his head instead of just reacting. He never felt like this before but he enjoyed it. He also enjoyed being close to Arilou. This thought made him blush, despite his trying to hide it he stuck out like a sore thumb.

Zalazak nodded enthusiastically. "That would be great," she said, her stomach growling a bit. "I'm not sure where they keep the food, but it must be around here somewhere. There was meat in some grass-bundle hatchling they made me tear apart," she said with a shrug. She lifted her nose into the air and sniffed, but all she found was the scents of other hatchlings. "Where shall we look first?"

(you got ninjaed!!))

Arilou moved closer to him. "He's not really my brother but he's all I had. What about you?" The way he made her feel so... warm. It was as if there was a piece missing. She almost had it, just almost.

((Sorry I was gone x.x)$

Sayiri ate the piece of meat. "So, are we going to go to that blue light?" she asked. She peered through the fog, but she couldn't see the light. "What happened to it?" she turned to her mate. "Are there monters here?" she asked. She could hear low growls. Rumbles, to her.

As Arilou moved closer to him he asked, “So what is your brother’s name did he ever get one.” He felt the cool air radiating from her body it was as though she was a part of the ocean sitting there peacefully flowing in one spot it was graceful no it was beauty.

He was startled as Sayiri started to speak. Her bright, energetic voice woke him up and he smiled. "Monsters? I suppose they could be. The fog is hiding it from our view. And yes, that is our destination. But we still have a long way to go."

"He had a name once. Err well twice, I guess. But they each hold horrid memories. I named myself. We have a long past...Seen more than most." She said something else but it was drowned out by a yawn. Gently, she curled up and dozed off. Whispers and more roars echoed through the stirring mist.

Souta rose to his feet and cast about, flicking his tongue.

"I'm not sure either. My sister and I got food through the fights we were put in too. But if we can find where the food is kept we might be able to fill not only our own bellies but all the hatchlings here."

He turned and looked about before finally spotting his sister.

"Sassori! We're going to look around for some food. Would you want to come too? We might need your help."

Sassori lifted her head and locked her gaze on her brother and the other hatchling.

"I might as well. I'm pretty hungry myself and as a group we're more likely to succeed." She spread her wings and jumped off of the rock she had been perched on, gliding down to land in front of her brother and Zalazak. She held her head high as she looked over the two slightly smaller hatchlings. Her gaze settled on Zalazak. "What is your name?" she asked, keeping her head higher than Zalazak and Souta's.

Souta knew his sister would be more aggressive and outspoken towards Zalazak than he was but knew she ment no real harm. Like the rest of the hatchlings here, she and her brother had been forced to fight and kill other hatchlings. They did not do it out of choice. Souta continued to cast about, scenting the air and looking for a possible scent trail to follow towards food, while Sassori 'accquainted' herself with Zalazak. He hoped that his sister wouldn't try to impose too much on Zalazak and scare or upset her.

“Hmm...” Sayiri turned in the direction of rumbles. He couldn't hear. She bit her lip. “Hey. Don't you... Hear something?” Sayiri moved her head in the direction of rumbles. “I... I think there are monsters here...” She said nervously. ... Me and him will go and kill the monsters. she thought, nudging "Mac" slightly.

As the rumbles got closer, alarm showed in his eyes. In horror, he began to vigorously dig into the ground until he formed a nice hole. He yanked Sayiri, Arilou, and the hatchling into it. He yanked a rock over it and gasped. "Shhh nobody say a word! Its suicide!" He whisped in a raspy, panicked tone.

Arilou gasped and curled up in the ditch. She started to breathe quietly. She slowed her breathing down and began to get quieter and relax.

"Wha-hey!" Sayiri said as he yanked her into the hole. "Nice job." she muttered. "How does Arilou even live out of water?" she. Whispered in her mates ear. She sat with everyone else, not squished. A small space was all she needed. Sayiri smiled to herself and snuggled against the wall of the hole.

"Soon she won't be able to. I'm very worried. By the time I had hattched, she was still in her egg. But she will be an adult soon. I need to get her to water soon. Real soon."

Loud thumps of footsteps ehoed ahead. Dragons spoke in a strange language. Arilou and her brother listened closely and nodded to each other as if they understood a secret message.

Being confined the young hatchling started to get nervous. As the pounding got louder the his pulse became greater. The fire in his belly raged, lava flowed through his veins. That calm colected feeling he had was gone he reverted to his defensive stance. he started pacing or as good a pace as you can do, crammed in a hole with three other dragons. His mind began to fire, scenario after scenario played through his mind. So many things could go wrong with their oh so delicate situation. As one scenario in particular played through his head he paused.

Hathina was mixing some sort of broth of herbs and meat. She plucked some purplish berries and sniffed them before mashing them and and adding them. "Sure! Just one more thing!" With a smile, she ripped off some chunk of meat and mixed it in. The result was a pinkish colored stew.

Arilou looked at him questioningly. Slowly, the sounds of ominous creatures grew farther and farther away. As she lifted the rock out from above them, a peek of misty moonlight fought through the fog.

As the sound became quieter he regained a sense of composure and began to calm down. As soon as the stone was removed enough for him to get out he left the hole. He ran and ran his pulse began to ease as the tension passed and he grew quiet curled up in an awkward position so that his head stuck out in front of the rest. He began to murmur to himself before closing his eyes and resting.

Arilou sighed and curled back up in the hole. She started a soft little lullaby. "The leaves of brown came tumbling down. Remember? That September... In the rain. The sun went out just like a dying ember. That September... In the rain. To every word of love I've heard you whisper...." Despite her brothers glare, she blinked away a soft tear.

"Don't you start this Arilou! Stop it right now. Ughh I hate when you do this! He's not coming back!" He growled and stomped away.

"-The raindrops seem to play a sweet refrain. Though Spring is here, to me its still September. That September...In the rain."

"What that you be mixin' up now" he said practically draped over her shoulder.

Hathina gave a giggle. "Dinner!" he started passing out bowls of the soup to starving hatchlings and Elders. "Eat up!"
