2017-02-14 - Valentine's Day!

Out of curiosity what is going on with the toes? They remind me of webbing like a frog has, not a bad thing just got me attention.

The hatchies are adorable, and the adult is absolutely gorgeous! I love the purple color! wub.gif

Fantastic job of spriting, Edwardelricfreak & Tazzay!

I'd feel a bit sad for those who froze their hatchlings before the change.

I'd be happy if

- the straight lines on the near back leg were fixed

- it's head could be shrunken a tad xd.png

- general tidying up of feet and details to make things clear

They're really pretty still. I love the unique tail and the color scheme.

I don't like or dislike the adults. They just feel..... very generic. I think one of the things I was most looking forward to with the old ones was how soft they felt- the lighter, more pastel palate. It was almost a lavender and a softer gold. These colors just feel really harsh and far more saturated. The fluffy tail also looks really out of place on an otherwise fluffless dragon.

That said, they're certainly not my least favorite sprites by any stretch, and I'll definitely make some pretty babbins next year. I think I'm just feeling down because the original hatchling sprites were so perfect, and now we'll never know what the end result would have been.

Well... I don't know about all the fuzz... But I LOVE the adults!

I think they look lovely! And I'm happy to see another really purple dragon besides the Purple Dragon xd.png

I LOVE THEM!

Thank you for the amazingly beautiful thingy! <3

This sums up my feelings pretty well, too.

I'm not sure if I like these adults. sad.gif I kinda wished to see what the originals looked like tbh, but I'm sure they'll grow on me though! cool.gif I love the colour scheme and the wings are very pretty!

While I did quite like the original sprites, I like the newer ones pretty well also - the colors are rich and the poses are interesting.

I do love the adult sprite. I really do!

Hatchies have seen some pretty big changes, so adults have probably changed too (loss of hooves and fluff if nothing else). Tbh I'm amazed there was even a back up set of sprites TO be used.

I know some holiday concepts were sent in literally a day before being used; I wonder if one of the two spriters for these guys couldn't be reached to sign off the permission? HMMM...

Actually I hadn't even considered the contract thing. Isn't one of them a minor??? How is that handled?

Would that really be an issue? I thought Shifu was a minor as well.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the released sprites had to be changed. I apologize for any inconvenience that may cause, though thankfully it has no chance to impact lineages, since all dragons are CB and none have bred yet.

Quoting for the new page.

Aw. I like the old ones better, especially the S1. Though, the newer S2 is more dynamic, and the new hatchlings are more dragon like. I prefer the sleeker look of the older ones though.

Plus, old s1 was funny.

Okay, so I am stuck in the nest at the beginning... I know, I am awful, and I hate the difficulty of this... How do I escape?

Spoiler: Climb down.

According to the profiles neither is a minor, the younger would be 19.

Well I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed at the changed sprites, but the new art is nice too. I love the wings on the adult.

I definitely liked the first hatchlings better.

Yeah, I liked the old ones much better, but the new gendered hatchling is still okay (the ungendered new one is weird...glad I didn't plan on freezing it) The adults are quite nice, though. Too bad I'll never see the old adult.

v-v pity. I much preferred the old sprites. nice work just the same, they just don't really catch my interest as the others. it is nice that the change happened before anyone could breed. I had intended on freezing hatchied next year, so I appreciate the quick change now as it has changed my plans. I do feel bad for those who froze wanting the old sprite.

Ohhhh my god those adult sprites are so gorgeous.

I mean, maybe I'm biased because I'm a huge fan of the purple/gold combination, but STILL. These past few Valentine dragons have really been gorgeous in terms of overall design and I just love it.

*blink*

I don't know who was involved with the replacement sprite set (I for one was not), but I am PieMaster, and I approve this message.
