History: Rp'ed

Tiadoria Details

Name: Viziel

Species: Veh'ishue Viziel was a member of an alien species not native to Tiadoria. Compared to native creatures of Tiadoria, it is easy to mistake the Veh'ishue for humans due to minimal external differences. Hailing from a planet with high-reaching trees, the Veh'ishue share many similarities cats. Retractable claws on their hands and feet give them exceptional climbing skills and the species as a whole is highly agile. While they normally stand on two feet for ease of using their hands, Veh'ishue are faster on all fours and will resort to sprinting away from danger on all fours if needed. Aside from their claws, other changes are more visible from the waist down. They all have extremely long tails that are about one to one and a half times the length of their bodies. The tails are thin and whip-like and act as a counterweight during more rigorous activities. Likewise, their legs end in larger paws instead of feet, with especially flexible toes that allow them to cling to objects more effectively. Veh'ishue naturally grow very little hair, with the exception of hair on the ends of their tails and their heads/faces. Their teeth resemble humans at first glance, however, will continue to grow back if knocked out. Another very obvious trait about them is the fact their eyes will glow in response to intense feelings of emotion. This acts as a means of communication in the species and is an involuntary process. It is much more noticeable at night or in dark places and can be hidden by bright lights.

Species abilities:

-Veh'ishue are nocturnal by nature so Viziel had very good night vision.

-Viziel had very good climbing skills and was very agile. He could move much faster on all fours but can also move very quickly while standing upright.

-Viziel was able to use his tail as a third limb, able to grab things with it and hold them.

Appearance: Viziel was a thin creature, standing about 5'9" and generally resembling a stick. The hair on top of his head and on the end of his tail were both black and while his hair was fairly neatly trimmed around the sides and along the back, he does have a large piece of hair that flips forwards like bangs and hangs in front of his face. His eyes are a very, very dark shade of blue that is practically indistinguishable from his pupils. He does have some facial hair but it will never really grow out much more than it already has. The few pieces he does have seem to frame the lower part of his face and his lips. Viziel's tail was about the size of his entire body and incredibly skinny, looking rather like a whip. It tends to drag along the ground or just above the ground when he stands upright and responds to his emotions with various actions. Viziel would look something like this when on Tiadoria.

History: The Veh'ishue were the dominant creatures of their planet for a long time, relying on technology instead of magic to eventually achieve space travel. However, they tended not to stray far from their home but decided they had to leave when their sun began showing odd behaviors. Scouts were sent out to other planets to try to find the most well-suited ones. Viziel was sent to one such planet, however, he lost communicating with his species near the end of his trip when his ship collided with a bit of debris. He decided to land on the closest planet to try to fix the communications but the debris had also punched a hole in his craft and broke apart upon entry. Only the cockpit and Viziel inside survived the crash, effectively stranding him on Tiadoria. While he tried to get used to living on Tiadoria, the lack of technology confused him and he disliked the planet greatly and felt extremely lonely.

When the Evil came to Tiadoria, Viziel was caught up in the way. Brought before the Evil, his extraterrestrial origins were quickly revealed. When it was revealed that his planet and his kind had perished when their sun suddenly expanded, the Evil offered him a chance to at least explore space once more. Fearing for his own life, Viziel agreed and served the Evil in it's conquest of Tiadoria. When he met back up with Arkin, he realized that the death of his own planet meant that he couldn't just as easily condemn Tiadoria and he betrayed the Evil to banish it into oblivion along with himself. While he was remembered in tales after this as a hero from space, little else was known about him or his kind.

Other:

Name: Fia

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Species: Swan Maiden-Fia is a type of swan maiden, though considered a mutt of the breed. Instead of actually turning into a swan, Fia takes the form of a large bird that physically appears to be the cross of an ostrich and a swan. While she can still transform back into a humanoid form, it is imperfect compared to purebred Swan Maidens.

Personality: Rp'ed

History: Fia was born in the Human Country. While she may have been given citizenship had she been born in another land, she was instead treated as a farm animal from day one. Taken from her parents as an egg, she was hatched in a barn and raised as a beast of burden. This fate she shared with many of her kind as Swan Maidens have a human-level intellect but crossing them with other species produces a smart animal that can carry large loads like horses. Fia was a prime example of one of these mutts but her nice appearance helped her move beyond basic barn work and into the capitol. When the Heroes were set to return, Fia was selected thanks to her age and endurance to help them and cart them along through the countryside.

Appearance:

Humanoid

As a human, Fia has long, white hair and is rather slim. She has large, blue eyes and fair skin, as she doesn’t assume this form often and that doesn’t give it the opportunity to burn. Her feathers vanish from most of her body, instead assuming a small pair of wings that extend out from her shoulders. These wings are incapable of flight due to their size and can easily be folded against her back and hidden. She looks a bit more wild in this form and it is generally unused.

Bird

In her bird form, Fia looks like a large, ostrich-like creature. She is largely white in the body but her feet are black and her face resembles a swan’s. In this form, Fia can easily carry people or pull a cart like a horse might. She looks regal in this form, like a larger version of a swan with long legs. She cannot fly in this form, as her wings are too small.

Powers:

-Fia is able to transform between a humanoid state and a bird shape at will.

-Fia is very strong and very fast, able to cart along heavy weights at a quick pace. Her top speed is unknown but likely fast as she can still move quickly even when pulling weight.

-Fia has large claws in her bird form and a sharp beak, easily capable of defending herself from danger.

Other: Because she is considered a beast of burden, Fia doesn’t commonly assume her humanoid form. In fact, she was taught not to in the confines of the capitol and most just assume she (along with others) cannot assume humanoid forms.

The festival was stunning. Brightly colored shops made a large pathway through the street, allowing people to walk through them and browse merchandise being sold. Much of it catered to small children like masks and wooden swords but there were other trinkets to be found there as well. After all, it was a time for joy and celebration. It was the Hero's festival and for the first time in history, the very people they were celebrating had come to the festival. The two people of legends walked amongst them once more and everyone in the capitol was celebrating.

Watching the bright lights from the pen she had been placed in nearby, Fia clucked softly before dipping her head back into the water bowl and taking a long drink. The festival really was a celebration for humans but the creatures in the barn were able to celebrate with some time off. There were no carts to pull until the festival ended and extra food had been given to her as her own kind of celebration. She didn't mind, of course, and the food this time wasn't even feed but real food. It was a treat she was pleased to have and would gladly take over the silly festival. Even if the lights and music were inviting, her place was in the small, wooden pen not to far away from the noise. It was designed that way so someone could easily come fetch her when the time was right. After all, she wouldn't be staying in the capitol for long. She was going out into the world for the first time in her entire life to lead around the Heroes. Now that, she was excited for. She'd never known anything beyond the castle walls but surely there was more out there. She wanted to run and jump and explore the vast world that the stable hands had spoken so much about but she had never seen.

Following the doors being flung open, James quickly found himself swept full-force into the festival. People were laughing and talking with one another and music filled the air as, off to the right, a wide area had been cleared for people to dance. The entire castle was filled with a joyful air as the citizens celebrated. Celebrated Derek and him. He didn't know what to expect but this had been thrown at him at full force and he wasn't sure how to take it. He wasn't a hero, he was just a guy. He wasn't ready to go on any kind of quest or whatever. What if he got killed? Would he go back home then or just die in both places? Not enough had been explained to him and here he was getting thrown into a party. It made him feel sick.

"Derek?" He asked, looking around for his friend. At least he wasn't in this mess alone. Being with someone felt so much better and he was going to make sure he didn't get stuck wandering around in some kind of fairytale all on his own.

Derek... wasn't a fan of lots of people crowding him. His favorite spot at home- well on earth- was his rooftop on the condo. It took some parkour to get up there, but it was secluded and quite. He grabbed on to James's arm, his white wolf ears swiveling wildly in the sudden sounds. "I'm right here James." His nostrils flared as he picked up the smell of meat making his stomach rumble loudly and his mouth water so much he almost drooled. "I know you are confused just as I am... but let's just roll with it for now. We'll get though this party and talk later about this. Okay? I don't know about you... but I'm famished!" He looked around for the source of meat amongst different smells, but it seems to emit from everywhere.

Asheron was the horses, resting while watching his father give rides to the kids. His father, a beautiful, strong built centaur, with midnight black hair fur and dark skin trotted around with three little human children on his back. Other smaller ponies where placed in a walking ring. He cantered nervously, delighted to go and see the plants and herbs in the wild, not in a garden or pot. He can see more stars, go outside these stone walls. He wasn't sure he could rest tonight. Whenever a hooded mage looked his way he stooped and went still, and held his head in a high fashion, munch like a show horse, or a royal guard's horse would do. His mother, a fair paint centaur, was telling children stories, throwing powder in a small fire making smoke turn colors and little pops happen for affect.

Nervously, James stared up at Derek. At least he towered over everyone else so he was easy to spot. If either of them had been super tiny, trying to get around would have been an absolute disaster. Derek was taller than him so it just made it easier to spot him and stay close. Holding onto Derek's arm to make sure he didn't lose him either way, he looked around at the crowd. Now that they were in the party, the crowd had gotten less dense as people moved on to the different booths to look at everything that was going on. It was nice not to be so crowded but he was still intimidated by everything. The brightly colored lights were too bright, the chattering was too loud and the smells were overwhelming. His head pounded as he remained close to Derek, not wanting to lose him in in the crowd. "I'm hungry," He admitted, looking around. "It feels like I haven't eaten in years. But do we just walk up and ask for food? I don't think I have any money." The King had been rather vague on the festival. Did they need to barter here? Did they get funds or something to pay for food on their quest? There were too many unanswered questions.

Fia swallowed one of the small fish that had been placed in her feed bucket as she turned her head towards the horse area nearby. While she had been isolated from the horses due to working reasons, she was now remarkably close to them. For some reason, the mages were worried that a fight would break out between her and the ponies but really, that was silly. Ponies didn't even taste good but she wanted to socialize with other creatures. Huffing in her isolated pen nearby, she ate another small fish and drank a small amount of water. When she lifted her head again, a few children had moved away from the horse area, moving towards her gated off area. Oh? Tilting her head to the side, she watched as they approached, dipping her head down to their level. They were clearly human kids. Chirping, she scratched the ground and nudged one of the kids with the top of her head, encouraging them to pet her neck. Praise was praise, she didn't really care who gave it to her.

Derek was on a one track mindset, eyes locked on the nearest food stall as he scratched his ear. His stomach did the talking not his mind at the moment. He shook his head and snapped back to what was happening. "Hmm... well, the Qu..... hem.. king said that this party is in our celebration... She is possibly funding us? I mean, we were just resurrected apparently, and no one really expects us to be walking around with bags of money, so it wouldn't hurt to ask first.... if that doesn't work we can bug the mages. They were very helpful when we woke up covered in that awful smelling goo...." His ears flattened when his nose wrinkles, making a face. "And they did help me when I... ah... I ah... collapsed." He cleared his throat. He didn't want to say he fainted. It was embarrassing enough that the mages saw that.

((I re-read the other rp and Derek fainted in the waiting room. Because we changed some things like him not attacking the mage, let's just say he fainted after seeing his reflection and hitting his toe on the table realizing this wasn't a dream))

Ash was getting antsy. He trotted from one side to the other of the horse area, moving from the gate to the wall so he looked from the party and then away. During a turn he spotted a swan maiden by some children and he trotted over. He smiled at the kids as one reached to pet a his shoulder while the others stoked the swan. He didn't speak at all, not allowed to around humans unless directly spoken to. He bent his legs and lay down, letting the boy climb up on his back with a wooden sword and pretend to be a knight.

James nodded into agreement, looking at a nearby stall that was selling some kind of meat skewers. Letting go of Derek’s arm, he moved closer to the stall, fidgeting nervously. It seemed weird to just ask for food and not have any money to give. But he took in a deep breath as the owner of the stall looked up at him. “I wanted to get something but I wasn’t sure how much everything costs,” He quickly said, shoulders rising up to his ears. This was very uncomfortable. He didn’t like making a fuss and it felt like he was begging. But aside from the big sign on top of the stall that seemed to be advertising what they were selling, there were no other signs to indicate prices.

“That’s because it’s already been paid for, Heroes,” The stall owner replied with a warm smile. Picking up some of the meat with skewers, the man quickly pushed them into James’s hands, beaming at him. Looking down at the food, James quickly stammered out a thanks before turning to Derek and holding out two of the skewers to him, keeping two for himself.

“I guess the King or someone already funded everything so it’s all free.”

Fia looked up slightly as a horse approached her isolated pen. Well, not really a horse since it was actually a centaur but they were generally treated the same so it didn’t matter that much. Chirping at the children who stayed behind, she opened her beak and caught ahold of one of the kid’s by their shirt. Lifting the girl into the air, she placed her onto her back, letting the girl sit on her feathered back. Looking at the horse, she snorted loudly, clearly smiling in her eyes despite the fact she couldn’t smile with her beak. Bouncing slightly, she ran in a small, exaggerated circle around her tiny pen as the girl on her back yelled in delight. She was definitely faster than the centaur. While she may not have four legs, birds were the fastest thing on the planet.

Derek's tail stared to wag happily as he took the meat sniffing the aroma. "Roasted lamb... I love roasted lamb! The king is a good woman, I thought she would fund us..." he tore off a chunk of meat, a bit too animal like and got some odd looks. He swallowed the slightly chewed chunk of meat and gave them a lopsided grin before nibbling on the meat like a gentleman, its tail a blur of white behind him. Although he ate slower, he still finished quickly and licked his lips with content. "That was delicious! I feel like I can still eat a whole cow though... but I see some art stuff. The kiddos are planning with chalk over there and another man is doing sketches of people.... you know me and art stuff. See anything you might like to do?"

Ash snorted back, sounding exactly like a horse. He held the kid as he got up and trotted in a high step regal trot, making the boy bounce on his back. The child giggled and nearly slipped off, but ash caught him and set him on the ground again. The boy patted his head then went to his mother who was looking for him.

James closed his eyes, chewing the pieces of meat in obvious glee. It had to be the best thing he had ever tasted. The pangs of hunger didn't lessen very much but just eating felt so good. He desperately wanted food and to just eat more. Two skewers weren't enough. It felt like he hadn't eaten in years and he needed to fill that empty void quickly. That, and get the gross taste of that goop out of his mouth. Whatever he had been held in inside that tank tasted absolutely nasty in his mouth.

"I'll probably get some more food. I think I saw some horses in the corner so I might go look at them later. I'm not really up for crowds right now."

Fia huffed back before looking backwards. Grasping the girl's shirt in her beak again, she gently lifted her up before placing her down outside the pen. Looking rather pleased with herself, she looked down at her food bowl and ate another small fish. The children scampered back off towards the festival, leaving her alone to eat. Kids were funny like that.

Derek nodded. "I understand that. I'm not too big on crowds. You know me though.. I have to draw when stressed... " He patted him on the shoulder nostrils flaring. He shook his head with a huff. "Gotta get used to these smells.. you smell like some cat... but not a cat... I'll find you if I need a familiar face... or well... soul.. I guess.. we don't look like ourselves. I'm off track here. Never mind, judging by the way I see over everyone here... it'll be easy to find me. Good luck man! We'll meet up after and talk..." He hugged him patting him on the back before heading off to the arts. He sat with some kids with a large space around him and they, along with others watched as he chalked out one of the tapestries inside the throne room he barely even glanced at. It was exact, down to the wave patterns on the water surrounding the island and the castle. More people watched as he drew out roses and vines bordering the drawing.

Ash stayed where he was, leaning his human arms on the fence. His voice low, and gravely from lack of use. Oddly deep for someone so young. "Can you talk in that shape swan maiden?" He looked at her with deep mud brown eyes, tilting his head so his long hair almost reached the point where skin turned to fur.

Fia took another fish in her mouth and scarfed it down before turning her head to look over her shoulder. She stared at the centaur for a few moments before snorting slightly and turning her whole body to look at him. "Of course," She replied, whispering out the word. The guards had run off to enjoy the festival so a bit of talking wouldn't harm anyone. All of the barn animals spoke when they were alone. "Have you never spoken with one of my kind before? We do usually have separate tasks." Her kind tended to be used to pull or cart things around the capitol. While centaurs could accomplish the same task, it was weird for humans. Her kind didn't look anything like humans so humans found it easier to treat them like animals. But centaur still looked human so they tended not to be in use closer to the King. Only a few centaurs were used in the city while most found their purpose in the army or in the fields just beyond.

James watched Derek run off to the arts and crafts table, left alone once again. Taking in a deep breath, he looked around at the festival. He didn't know what Derek mean by smelling like a cat but he had already checked his head and there were no strange ears to be found. He was fairly normal and he was glad for that, at least. Turning away, he wandered down the line of carts, moving between each one. In very little time, he sat down at the end of a long, wooden table with a pile of food in front of him. Sighing in relief, he quickly began eating away at the food, clearly enjoying the taste. As soon as he was done eating, he was going to go sit in the corner with the animals. Hopefully nobody would bother him over there.

"Once or twice when I was little. I needed two feathers from different maidens for a mage spell.... but they had to turn human... the spell called for feathers from the back of two lady swan wings. Mother said spells are finicky and has to be exactly as it says." He tilted his head to the other side, pawing the ground curiously. "You are over here resting. And they gave you real food like me. Where you picked too?" He whispers moving closer to the fence.

"Human?" Fia asked, looking rather surprised. Of course, she knew she could do it but it was so uncomfortable shedding her lovely white feathers. She was smaller, weaker and looked nasty. Shaking her head, she pushed the thought quickly from her mind and instead beamed, ruffling up her feathers slightly on her chest to look more majestic. "I'm surprised you found any of my kind that would be willing to do that. It might be different outside the castle but I certainly wouldn't be caught dead like that." She let out of a puff of air and straightened her neck up so it was stretched out. "And yes, they did pick me. Most of my kind inside these walls are all looks. I am faster, younger and stronger than the ones who are designed to look pretty." She lifted one of her long, black legs for emphasis, letting her talons drag across the ground. Her body was rather lean in bird form, much more so than most Capitol birds who had much more fluff to them. She looked fast and clearly knew it as well from the smug grin in her eyes. She loved speed. There was a thrill behind chasing after the sun as it set down, moving fast as not to let it leave her sight. She didn't know how fast she could actually go since it was never permitted but she didn't doubt herself when it came to speed. "So I was picked to carry them. I didn't know they picked another but it'll be fun working with a centaur. Provided you can keep up, that is."

((I posted too soon... Oups))

Derek had made several drawings in open spaces. Around the pole decorated with ribbons he did a sun. The most magnificent one was by the stairs of the castle. There on the stairs, he drew a wide window made of that looked like it was made of glass but wasn't, that pictured the king extending her arms in welcome to the two heroes in the middle. Below was his earth home, and he and James sat on couches talking, at the bottom of the stairs. The scene went green and showed them waiting to see the king before her welcoming. After that, he made it arch up and drew the festival with them in it, and in the top he does the path out of the gate, with the two walking away.

The drawing took up the middle part of the steps, leaving the sides to walk up and down. Derek hopped up on the last step, unable to see the complete finish but most of the work. He was covered in chalk dust, his hair multicolored from pushing it back with his hands. He nodded and slipped down the side stone banister to chalk his signature on the work. "There!"

Ash snorted and straightened. "I was picked to be a guide, not a race horse. A guide and healer. Besides, I thought the swan ladies I spoke too looked like overstuffed pillows. They looked better as a human." He stated with a decisive thump of a hoof.

"They were all pampered," Fia replied with a dismissive wave of her wing. Breeding was everything. Some birds were designed to look fluffy and useless, like decorative trophies. But she was designed to be fast and strong. She was built for speed and stamina and her plumage was just a bonus that did not matter that much. "Human forms are weak. They're slower, fatter and useless. If you met any of my kin who would willingly change back, they probably were feral and more likely to loaf around in a pond all day instead of work." She turned her beak up at this declaration, clearly seeing herself as better than whomever this horse had met. "I have better breeding than that. Wild birds are useless, through and through."

James leaned forward on the bench, letting his arms cross in front of him on the table. Sighing, he rubbed his head, not noticing as someone sat down beside him until the hooded man tapped him on the shoulder. Glancing over, he looked at the cloaked man, one eyebrow raised slightly. It was one of the mages, right? He could never really tell them apart, honestly. The hoods did their jobs.

"You looked lonely so I brought you a drink," The mage said, placing a large mug filled with an unknown substance down in front of James. Staring at the drink, James blinked slowly before turning to the mage.

"Thank you," He said, taking a small sip of the drink. Alcohol. Definitely alcohol. The mage smiled under the hood that covered most of his face. He didn't have a drink himself but seemed content just sitting next to James in silence. "So this trip we are going on," James began, looking down at his drink.

"You'll leave in the morning," The mage replied. "We have an escort already prepared and supplies packed. You do not need to worry about that right now. Why not enjoy yourself?"

Ash looked down at this and turned away from her. "I don't know any wild centaurs.... I my dad's mother's sister is wild. I never met her but the elder told me they are very very proud and never let anyone ride on them. Let alone use them for cart horses... " he said lowly.

Derek was now very hyper.. and extremely hungry. He found James and grinned sitting across from him and ate. He picked out mostly meat, sometimes berries, but mostly meat. He had a pile of bones when he was finished and was gnawing on one, the fragile bone cracking beneath his teeth. "This is good! And I'm finally full.. hey... James.... what's up?" He was still covered in chalk, but he managed to get it off his face and hands. His ears went flat as he looked at his down friend. He looked at the mage. "Where would we sleep tonight? And that's alcohol.... " He put his hand over his nose like the smell burned it.

"That's rather silly," Fia replied with a shrug. "This is the Human Country, after all. Nothing good would come out of not being agreeable. I mean, everyone has to work or nothing works." She hummed slightly as she grabbed another fish-her last one, and ate it just as quickly as the rest. Hmm.... Maybe if she got those kids to come back, she could convince them to sneak her some food. The fish had been nice but her stomach was like a bottomless pit and she could always eat more. "I mean, you know that at least. If you want to get fed, you have to work for it. Why else would you still be here if you didn't agree with that, at least?"

"We already have a room in the castle," the mage explained as James silently drank from the large mug. "The King picked it out and had it furnished a few weeks ago. Leaving in the morning is better anyway. Less of a chance of encountering some beasts on the road if you leave by light." The mage looked over at James as he set his mug down, having successfully chugged the drink while the mage had been speaking.

"Could I have some more of this?" He asked, looking up at the mage. The mage smiled and nodded quickly, taking the mug and disappearing into the crowd. Sighing, James looked back at Derek, noting the chalk covering most of his body. "Have fun?"

"They live in the Wild lands... not human country... Even if I didn't agree to be a cart horse, I'd be here. My mother works for the King's mages. I am to take her place when she is too old. " Ash stated as a fact. "At least you aren't branded with a hot iron when you get old enough..." He twisted and rubbed his flank.

"It wasn't about fun. I needed to calm down. So, I am calm now. I'm worried though. Both my parents would be worried sick, and I'm stuck here in this body. And I'm very tired... too much at once. I didn't know you drank.... course with your job... I would too if I wasn't so much of a lightweight. Remember that holiday party and someone spiked the eggnog? I was all over laughing like I was high on something after one mug of that and collapsed on the couch! " He laughed, it sounded like a howl and yipps mixed together. He stopped and tilted his head. "I really need to get used to this whole dog thing. Hmm.. do you think bobbing for apples would get some dust off?"

"I don't usually drink," James replied with a sigh. "But I'm stressed as Hell right now and I figure being unconscious might help with that. Although, I don't think anyone would be too pleased to see their hero passed out." He shrugged slightly at the idea and leaned forward, letting his chin rest on the table. "Eggnog is supposed to be spiked," He added after a moment, sitting upright as the mage returned with another mug for him. Taking it with a nod of thanks, he placed it in front of him, wrapping his hands around the mug. He took a sip then looked around at the festival around them. "I'd go without the apples. I'd rather not dorm with someone that smells like a wet dog." He smiled in a clearly playful manner.

"Then they have to deal with monsters!" Fia replied, chuckling as her point was proven. Lifting her leg into the air, she set it down on top of the fence, balancing quite well on her remaining leg. "I've got something like a brand," She replied, curling her talons together. Around the base of her leg was a symbol that wound around her entire ankle. The same symbol could be found on her other leg as well. "It's a spell," She explained, setting her leg back down on the ground. "Written in blood. If I disobey, my legs get pulled together and it hurts lots. Kinda annoying when I'm trying to run but they haven't had reason to use it in a few years."

Derek started laughing. "I wouldn't either! Alright... no apples. You could've told me it was spiked! Do you realize how embarrassing that was?! I made myself a fool... of course.. when haven't i?" He chuckles shaking his head so dust flew around him and he sneezed so hard he fell back off the stool. "See? I'm not a hero they know either. I'm the bumbling hyperactive idiot who has way to many cosplay costumes in his closest." He said as he pulled himself upright.

Ash bent and looked at the marks, then showed her the white rune flank. "Mine just says my name. And... we are going out there. So, wouldn't we have to deal with them too at some point? Don't worry. If you get bit, I know how to help you. I know lots. " He grinned at the sawn.

"IF I get bitten," Fia replied with a short, clucking laugh. Oh, that was funny. That was a good one! "Worry more about yourself," She replied with a snort. She moved her leg back down to the ground and leaned against the gate slightly, letting the wood support her. Maybe soon she'd take a nap to prepare for tomorrow. Of course, they were going to bring her out tonight anyway so they could do the blood seal. They had to add the blood of the Heroes to her seal so that their words could also bind her. It would be a bad thing for them not to do that, after all. "I wouldn't get bitten. I'm much to fast for any of those things to keep up with me. If you're fast, you can just run away!"

"It's kind of standard, man," James replied with a laugh. "And don't tell that to the guy who works on computers for a living."

"Cosplay?" The mage asked, looking between the two of them. James nearly spat out his drink in laughter as the mage looked at Derek. "What is Cosplay?" Oh gosh, how did they explain that? He had completely forgotten the mage was there. The robed guy blended right in and was so quiet he didn't seem to even breathe.

"If you talk about LARPing and cosplay around these people, they're not going to understand," James pointed out, looking at Derek. At his words, the robed figure only looked more and more confused, like Derek and James were speaking in another language.

Ash shook his head. "Never mind that then. I'm going to lay down for a while." He trotted away and to his stable, laying down on the soft hay and falling tried to sleep with all the sounds going on.

Derek laughed even harder yowling now, getting some attention from others until he calmed down. He caught his breath. "Well it isn't our fault! We keep telling them that we aren't the heroes they know of. We don't know of the culture and creatures here, I don't even know what the hell I'm supposed to be! We were human, on a plant with only humans. Things that looked like us now was myth and fantasy! They don't exist! We keep trying to tell them that but they don't believe us.. except for the king... "

"We believe you," The mage replied gently, trying to calm him down. "We just know that your souls are your own. You possess the souls of the Heroes that saved us. It is likely you were just reborn on that...other place you speak of." The mage frowned slightly, clearly thinking. "A planet of just humans though sounds intriguing. Do you have Kingdoms like we do? We are usually divided by our species here but if you do not have that, it must be different." The mage smiled and leaned forward slightly. "Why don't you tell me about your planet? I could tell you about this world instead since you do not seem to remember your past lives. Mages are required to know the history of Tiadoria but knowing the history of the world beyond the Void would be welcomed knowledge."

"Well, it's called Earth," James began, looking at Derek. How did they describe Earth to someone who had never been there before?
