Posted March 28, 2015 Please no pirate voices. They just... don't. There is a band of pirates, a pilfering, plundering, pillaging posse of sailing theives. They sail on the Griffin, a ship dark as night with 10 cannons on each side. The boat houses a crew of 30, and they are the most successful thieves known. But they don't take it for themselves. Instead they rob rich, cruel leaders who do not let anyone else have any money and give it to the less fortunate. They do, of course, keep a fraction of the treasure for food. They are friends with the good king Morles of Edinmire, but his wife is evil and greedy, and she wants to take down the Griffin and take all the loot for herself. Their spoiled son, Chester, aids his mother by joining the Griffin, but he will soon find out that his mother's quest is a bad one, and the crew's good-hearted, jolly nature will rub off on the boy. Rules~ • No more than 5 cusses per post, I think that's fair. • Follow DC rules. This goes unsaid. • My word is law! LAAAW! • Ask the player if you want to be romantically involved with their character, or be enemies with their character, or if you can injure them or whatever. • I get busy around this time, so if the community can help me grade sheets? A loose and rough shirt, with baggy pants held up by a belt made of rope and using wrappings made of cloth for shoes. When going to work, he'll use more wrapping to put on his hands, protecting them somewhat from blisters and the like. As for a general physical description, Mason stands tall and proud. With of golden locks of blonde and hazel eyes, coupled with high cheekbone(but not elf-like), a well-defined jawline, and a muscular build, he's the spitting image of the working-class man. He practiced swordsmanship with his father, which also contributed his strength. Mason's other skills, aside from woodworking and bookkeeping, include cooking, sewing, climbing, slipping free from bonds, working with animals, as well being generally perceptive both with people and his surroundings and also strangely good with rope. She has deep green eyes, not as bright as her brother's. She wears thick heavy boots and gloves with no finger covers. Personality: Very carefree and laid back attitude; he often doesn't takes things very seriously and doesn't put an effort into it, but when he does, he does it well. He is a friendly person to people who approach him, and gets very hot-headed when people insult his 'friends', although he couldn't care any less if they did the same to him. Appearance: He has short neat black hair and brown-ish eyes. He is of average height, and has a relatively small frame. He often likes to wear a white T-shirt and blue shorts. Ranks Captain~ The Captain is primarily responsible for following proper safety procedures. They must also keep track of all people or goods on their ships, especially when stopping. These professionals must also know how to operate and repair all mechanical and electrical devices. The Captain also oversees the hiring, training and promotions of workers, which includes mates, deckhands or sailors. They also determine the number of employees needed throughout the year, conduct performance reviews of direct reports and promote employees when they are eligible for new ranks. First Mate~ The Captain's right hand man or woman, the First Mate shares many of the responsibilities of the Captain; the First Mate oversees hiring and training, promotes they find fit, although normally consult with the Captain first. When the Captain is away, the First Mate takes over, making the First Mate the hardest rank to get, as the Captain will only ask you to be their First Mate if they truly trust you. The job is quite self-explanatory, but it is a prestigious and risky rank, as if the ship gets lost, you're outta here. The Nav must know how to use a compass, map, and have a good idea of geography. Taken By: AroraAngelWolf- Cassius Medic~ The Medical Team, or Medic, is responsible for taking care of ill and injured, as well as monitoring the condition of all crewmembers. They must have a basic knowledge of medicinal herbs and medical techniques. Taken By: Chef~ No real explanation needed. The chef makes the food and must know how to prevent food-related diseases such as scurvy, a disease from lack of vitamin-c (since they can't really have much fresh fruit lest it spoil) or malnourishment, gotten fron lack of needed vitamins. Taken By: Astrodeath- Mason Deckhands~ Deckhands are like the cleaning crew of the, uh, crew. They sweep and mop the decks, paint the boat and decks, repair machinery, help the Nav, and hoist sails. Ugh, crappy description. Crewmembers~ People without a specific job, they help all-around and have a general know-how of the ocean. They are the subordinates of the Griffin, they help all around, sometimes fish if we're that desperate for food, and train for battle, in case it is needed. Another crappy description. Adopt List~ This is for when people leave and their characters are saved, either if someone else wants them or they decide to come back eventually, or if a plot character, such as Chester or his mother, needs someone to play him. Esko will play Chester as he sees fit. He called him first after all. Oh I see. No, the adopt list is for characters who need somene to play them, not need a character to take them in. Posted March 29, 2015 I re-read it and have a couple of complaints, for one I agree with Arora- a bit too in-depth. I didnt add a literal history section for a reason, I like things to unfold as the RP progresses. You put the history in the personality, but that's not what it's for. It's to describe how he acts. You said that his wanderlust is his reason and it's described more in his personality, but the 'why he joined' is for that purpose. If wanderlust was his reason, then that's his reason, explain that in the 'reason why' section. Now I feel like a real OP. Eugh. Share this post Link to post
