THE TEMPEST LINEAGE



This Lineage was originally started by Kayos so a big round of applause for her as thanks for creating such an awesome lineage!
Also a big round of applause for our last moderator Rhetsura, wich is, sadly, currently unactive .... let's hope she'll return !




The Tempest Lineage is a themed lineage based on the idea of large storms at sea, thus, Tempests !
We're quite a welcoming group of members so don't be afraid to drop right in and join ! There are plenty of members offering up eggs and hatchlings to help new lineages participants get a start !

Give the lineage a try; you're sure to like it !

RULES OF THE LINEAGE



All dragons in the lineage will be themed after a storm at sea; Skywing, Deep Sea, Water, Storm, Two-Finned Bluna, Thunders & Electrics

Dragons must have the prefix or suffix 'Tempest' in their name to mark their lineage

All dragons in the lineage will be caveborns or of the Tempest line to make it easier to track the lineage

No inbreeding (it makes it more difficult to chart, sorry )

Speckled eggs / Two-Fined Bluna's MUST HAVE at least one tempest parent !!
Otherwise they'll not be accepted in the line, sorry !

AND you must have 2 Tempest dragons to get a Bluna from this lineage !!

Generation Badges



These card shaped badges are obtained after every generation of Tempest you reach !
As you go further in Generations, the number changes and so does the egg !
So, basically, the egg cracks further and further depending what Generation of Tempest you have on your scroll !
There are three different badges to choose from on each level depending on which Tempest egg you like the most !
These are, by far, the easiest badges to receive so what are you waiting for ?
Go get 'em!




Number of Tempests Badges




Hahahaha! The numbers required to get these badges may seem like a lot now but trust me, they're more than obtainable! As most of you can probably guess, these badges can be obtained by having a certain number of Tempest dragons on your scroll. They MUST be on your scroll in order to be included in your total Tempest count. There are FIVE levels ranging from COPPER, NICKEL, BRONZE, SILVER, and GOLD.




Species Badges




I have to say that these ones have got to be my absolute favourite! Of course, I'm not as good as the DC Artists but I'm fairly proud of them! Anyhow, you can get these badges by getting a certain specified number of each species of Tempest.


For Skywings:
------- The BRONZE badge is earned by obtaining 5 Skywings.
------- The SILVER badge is earned by obtaining 10 Skywings.
------- The GOLD badge is earned by obtaining 25 Skywings.

For Waters:
------- The BRONZE badge is earned by obtaining 10 Waters
------- The SILVER badge is earned by obtaining 15 Waters
------- The GOLD badge is earned by obtaining 35 Waters

For Storms:
------- The BRONZE badge is earned by obtaining 10 Storms.
------- The SILVER badge is earned by obtaining 20 Storms.
------- The GOLD badge is earned by obtaining 40 Storms.


Gifting Badges




I'd say these ones are the hardest to obtain! But those that are giving will surely have NO problem reaching the goals! Again, there are FIVE different badges to obtain. And how exactly do you get them? Why by Gifting of course! Every time you gift a Tempest egg/hatchling, it will be added to a private list. Once you reach an achievement, the badge will be PMed to you!


Here's the procedure for getting these badges:

1. Get/Breed/Hatch a Tempest Egg
2. Check on the thread for anyone who wants a hatchling or an egg
3. Set up a gifting with said person
4. If the gifting is successful, have the person you gifted to send me a PM.
5. Once I receive the PM, it will be added to your total.


Example: Person A wants to increase their Gifting count. Person A gifts to Person B. The trade is successful. Person B then sends Rhetsura a PM saying that Person A gifted them an egg. Person A gets that gifting added to their list.

NOTE: Trades work for this as well!

HUZZAH! Good to see us up and running!

I am working on the spreadsheet. All of the old data has been (slowly, painfully) migrated and I'm going through the posts and adding new dragons and participants. In a couple of days the new spreadsheet will be up to date and I'll post the link and the form for members to add their own dragons. After that, the form will just need the occasional tweaking to make sure everyone is in the right place. :-)

All dragons should appear on the first page until I move them... but I haven't tested that. If something looks wrong, please post a note here. If you have more generations of dragon then you are listed for, or you have some other detail you want tweaked, send me a note or post here. I expect I'll be making lots of little changes the next few days and this post is going to go through a few more edits, so check back.

All dragons are listed by their owner. Check for your forum name, I have everyone listed in order. Legacy members are listed by scroll name, so there might be some inconsistency if the names don't match. If you spot one, please let me know.

Yay on the new thread. I haven't had any new updates in awhile. Once my skywings and waters are out of cooldown, I'll be trying again for a speckle egg. I'm glad they're being allowed into the lineage.

Yep the speckleds will be added, I'm only waiting for their names to add them in the first post .


But please keep in mind that AT LEAST ONE of the parents MUST be a Tempest Dragon to let the speckled egg beeing also a Tempest !

I have one CB Skywing and one CB Deep Sea already that I could breed to an egg that is in the lineage, but neither are named appropriately. I think I missed that when reading the opening posts here. Does the CB mate have to have the Tempest name as well, or is that only required for the offspring?

I am scroll-locked at the moment, so I will post again as soon as I am open to receiving an egg.

I've added you and Eternal Spring to the list.

My dragons are all Tempest Breeds, but none of my CB Skywings have Tempest in their names and half my Storms are storm names but not Tempest named. Having just gone through all but the first three posts of the previous thread, checking lineages for about half the dragons I added, I can verify that I'm not the only one with 'half Tempests'.

It is desirable that all the dragons be named and registered, and all my new dragons are, but it's not essential. It's more important that their breeds be correct.

As a short cut to getting Tempest dragons you can always lurk here, we normally have a few that get offered. :-)

Yep, he's there.

The top of the lists (without time stamps) was copied from the old spreadsheet (which was much harder than it should have been). Anything I added has the date of the post the information was taken from and they are in date order. If it will be easier to follow, I can occasionally go in and resort by player. Resorted lists so that dragons are listed by owner.


edit: ..playing ... I think it's a little fast, but balancing the rain and the dragons is trickier than I expected. I'll play with it more, but figured I'd gather thoughts as I go.

No, the speckled must have at least one Parent that is from the Temest Lineage or must be a CB that is named Tempest with prefix or suffix .


I'll adding that as a Rule now to make it clear for everyone and to avoid confusion :




Speckled eggs will only be allowed in the this line, if two of it's parents, or at least one, are from the Tempest Lineage parent !

Yay, new thread!

Just bred a 3rd-gen speckle egg, and I'm putting it up for grabs since I actually already traded for a non-Tempest speckle. Here's the lineage if anybody's interested.

Me! I just need to toss my purple. I was saving her for vampire fodder later this week, but she'll be easy to replace. I can't wait to see what these guys look like!
