I've only bred one once, but when I did, my heart stopped and I nearly fainted (well, not really, but you know what I mean).

I usually try to gift my rares when I can (especially since rares are so...heh... rare right now). I remember how hard it was for me to snag my first metallic, so I try to help out when I can.

I try to as well... but I would like to be able to bred more so I can gift more... and I can't breed more if I don't have more. Leaves me in a bit of a pickle.

I can't remember my reaction at the time. My rares haven't given me a rare egg since July.

Somewhere between "OOOOO YEAH!!!!! RARE RARE RARE RARE RARE!!!!!!!!!!" (which was my vote) and ":)... but now what should I do... keep, gift, or trade.... O_o", the former usually with the especially stubborn pairs and the latter usually with pairs that have already thrown me at least one rare.

Ditto, though my first reaction usually involves falling off of whatever I'm sitting on at the time.

So far I've only gifted 2 of the rares that I've bred, 1 gold and 1 silver. I have the golds I want/need (with the exception of the elusive CB gold). I'm trying for 1 more silver in a specific lineage. After that, I'll figure out the "gift/trade/abandon" issue for any resulting metallics.

Sadly, I have never received a rare...

I have Silvers, Geodes and a Gold frozen hatchie. No luck in breeding though. Even my Striped goes cuckoo sometimes.

I have no rares =( Unless geodes splits and stripes count....... Is this about all uncommons or just metallics?

Ever since the breeding glitch was corrected I've been a lot more excited every time I breed a rare

I haven't managed to breed a gold or a silver for some time now, so if/when I do next, I will be doing backflips.

Unless it's mommy/daddy was a cave born. Because then I will have to give it away. Then I'll cry.

... but now what should I do... keep, gift, or trade.... O_o

I often abandon my silver eggs, because I feel 7 female and 7 male is enough. But golds I keep, even when I have 40 golds that's because most of them are females, and I have 12 males and 28 females, so i need 16 males I know... but i just hate that I have more females that males, because i want balanced scroll.

I never realized that stripes or geodes were considered rare. I have one silver that was given to my by one of my roommates, and I'm hoping to breed it successfully for others. I know that, generally speaking, when I breed eggs for other people, I get very excited when the breeding actually goes as planned!

I hardly react at all when breeding stripes or geodes-my geode/stripe pairs are VERY consistant.

My metallics? Not so much. I've only ever bred two golds. I'd given up on ever breeding a metallic when I bred my favorite gold/black pair together and lo and behold-the egg was a lot shinier than their usual black egg. The other gold I bred I gifted to someone in my lineage.

If I get rare, I will say "Oh YE!!!!!! Rare!!!!!"

I'll be really happy!

thats how i am about all rares though now i might be less excited about silvies since i have a bunch...i still wanna breed golds though

I breed my silvers once per week and I abandon everything. It used to be that out of the 62 silvers I have, I would get at least 8 or so silver eggs which I would abandon and announce via the rare abandon thread, the most I got was probably about 15, all abandoned. I've just bred for this week and not got a single rare egg - it was weeks and weeks ago since I last got one.

I've got 2 gold adults which I bred too but as usual I got nothing from them. Really wish the ratio would improve so I could do more.

Think if I got some success now I'd probably fall off my chair in shock!
