I just breed another gold. I have breed 9 golds, but I gift/ trade most of them. I want to keep gifting golds to people with very few rares. I just bred another gold and I can't decide whether to keep it and breed more golds later, try to trade it to improve my chicken army or gift it...

How do you react when you breed a rare?

I SQUEE when I breed a rare, especially since the metallic ratios got messed up. Actually, let me rephrase that. I SQUEE when I breed a metallic. Stripes and geodes, not so much. Those usually get gifted or sent to the AP to make some random person happy.

Mostly indifferent. They usually go to the departure board or straight to the AP.
...unless it's one of those pairs that never give any eggs, in that case it's happy dance time

Definitely the third option, though I rarely breed rares nowadays.

I am overjoyed! Unfortunately, I don't have many unrelated rares at the moment (all my golds are from my first ) and my rares are very stingy, but if one day someone who doesn't have one asks and I feel that they have learned enough to handle it without killing it, I will try to breed all of my rares and if one majically appeared, I would attempt to gift it to that individual. (my first silver batch was a pair, someone got the male (still needs a silver male ) but I haven't been lucky enough since then to epically breed my rares yet ... )

I don't have any metallics. But stripes are now overly common on my scroll, and geodes... I caught one off the AP as about my 6th egg, so I've never thought of them as rare.

I'm constantly breeding geodes so that others can nab them!

Blah the one Gold I have hasn't given me a single gold egg in the four months since I picked him up..nor have the two silvers I have...mine are duds so I've kinda given up on trying to breed any sort of rare.

I am filled with endless joy when I somehow manage a rare. So far I've just been keeping them because I don't have that many to begin with. But I figure as soon as I get a few going on my scroll I'll let a few loose in the AP for others. I've done that with my splits before because I have plenty of those to go around :3

I've been trying to breed for a metallic for ages now but I can't remember when was the last time I actually got one. So needless to say I'd be more than a little excited!

When bright pinks were being phased out I started breeding all my old bright pinks with golds. I experienced a weird situation I'm sure others did too: I was sad when I got gold eggs instead.

I don't breed much anymore but when I do, I get at least one metallic out of the bunch. Haven't bred an alt in a while.

I have tried (and failed) to breed my geodes and my one stripe. I don't have any metallics...

If I did I'd actually try to avoid breeding them, as any new golds/silvers would undo progress on getting the ratios fixed. By breeding more of them you're actually prolonging the problem with their ratios being out of control... (Not that you're a bad person for doing so - go ahead and play the game however you want - I'm just saying...)

It depends, now that I have my goals for metalics, I am fine with just dumping it to the AP, and it doesn't really matter anymore if I get a rare or not. Now if I was still trying to boost my metallic numbers, then I would be very excited.

I jump up and down. LOL Bred one today, a gold Dorkface. Gifted it to a student. I don't use TGT, but tend to gift to people who have requested other common eggs from me.

I try to breed Silvers and Golds for putting into the AP- without letting anyone at the Giving Tree know, just to let people get a Silver or Gold. I plan to do this with Vampires if I'm able to get one.
