Eli frowned at Lura's words. A place where he felt safe? That was easy, his home. Sure the place was covered with guards, wolves and whatever nasty creature his father currently had as a pet, but he had always felt safe there. Everyone was always nice to him and the wolves always acted more like dogs than wild animals when Eli was near.

Despite the fact that hundreds of people had died there, Eli had never felt their final whisperings. They stayed silent and Eli had never had to worry about losing control. The librarian had explained that was because of his father's power. His abilities blocked Eli's, so they was never any danger of him hurting anyone there.

Eli lay back on his towel and folded his arms under his head as he stared up at the ceiling. He had always liked the librarian, she was very kind and always let Eli read whatever he liked, no matter what the material or time of day. Eli would spend hours curled up in one of the big leather chairs with a book bigger than he was and if he fell asleep he would wake up to find the book of the day gone and a soft blanket in it's place.

"Okay." Lura said in her low hypnotic voice. "If you haven'f found your safe, calm inner place yet, maybe I can help.

Here is the first of my images. You are on a field. The sun is shining, the grass is soft under your feet. You can see for miles and miles and miles, seeing grass and rivers, the clear blue sky. The wind is whispering in your hair..." While Lura talked she wandered through the gym as did her bodyguards.

One of them stopped next to Saya and contemplated the girl. Sitting the slit in her skirt revealed all of her leg. He crouched down beside her and laid one hand on her shoulder, while using the other to caress said leg slowly letting it slide under the skirt.

((If one of you thinks about saving Saya now, don't do it in a way that will keep her from getting angry. Thanks))

Larnet crossed her legs, took a deep breath, and relaxed. she had no problems drowning out the whole world around her, bar the teacher's voice. She was so absorbed, she vaguely notices jade sitting beside her, in human form. she glanced over, and smiled. she started making random gestures, and muttered "Don't ask, I don't know. I'm convinced I belong in a nuthouse!"

Saya sat quietly, trying to reach a state of peace, when one of the boys who was Lura's 'bodyguards' among whatever else knelt next to her. She took a series of deep steady breaths as her set a hand on her shoulder, not saying anything as of yet. When he set a hand on her leg though she inhaled sharply, and felt her hands tighten into fists. When his hand moved up her leg and slightly under the edge of her skirt and let her eyes bolt open and turned to look at him. Her voice was cool and dangerous as she asked, "just what, do you think you're trying to do to me? especially with your hand?". She wasn't particularlly loud, but just loud enough that most of the students immediately around her could hear. One girl she didn't know turned to look, her eyes widening as she saw what the boy had been trying to do. She nudged the person next to her, and soon several sets of eyes were on her and the boy as she waited for him to remove his hands from her body.

((that pretty good laura?))

((Yes))
Lura stoped talking and glanced in her direction. The boy had already taken the hands from her at that point and held them up. Lura frowned at Saya, like she was an unruly puppy and resumed talking.

The 'bodyguard' leaned into Saya and whispered. "Such a good, proper little girl. One wonders what brought you here. I do suggest you become a little friendlier though, or I'll let everyone know how rotten you are inside."

His smirked.

"Why are you so upset when I just try to be nice anyway?" He put a finger under her chin and forced her head upward so she had to look at him. He came so close that she could feel his breath on her face. "Is it that you just don't enjoy the same things normal girls do, Saya?" He paused a moment, his tone becoming softer, conspiringly.
"Do you get your kicks from slicing others up, hm? Tell me, did it feel good when you murdered those boys? Did you enjoy seeing the light fade from their eyes and their blood on your hands, so warm and slippery?"

((Will this work?))

Eli raised himself up on his elbows when he heard some commotion from across the hall. One of Lura's bodyguards was talking to one of the girls he knew as Saya. He was too far away to be able to hear what they were saying, but their faces told him a lot. He didn't like the look on the guy's face. It reminded him of some of the men down in the village not too far from his home. Men like that often treated the woman around them as objects.

Eli shifted position and crouched down on his feet. He didn't know if he could to anything, but he would be ready to act if need be.

Lura stopped in front of Eli and crouched down. She drew a hand through his tousled black hair. "You are far too tense." She said in her smoky voice.

Lura drew a red tinted fingernail along his spine. "Do you feel that? So strained?"

Her hands slipped on his shoulders and started kneading them. "Relax." She murmured. Her wisper was like midnight silk.
